Kyo nodded and smiled. "I enjoy it now and again." he said and shrugged. He found a new seat and sat. He looked around smiling and knew he would have to find some way to talk to Negi alone about the Satori thing. But how he would do that was the question.

Yukina smiled then moved to the chair next to him. She never saw his reaction when she kissed him, since the kid had came...She wanted to ask him but one, she wasn't sure how and 2, she didn't think it would be right to talk about it in front of everyone.

Leiko grinned and nodded in response. "Yeah, I hope I do okay," she said quietly. Then she looked to the floor and saw Rei's abandoned hoodie by her. She frowned at the hoodie. The rat hadn't meant to ignore her... She had been a zombie for quite awhile too. Then she smiled at Haruka. "How old are you now?" she asked curiously with the tilt of her head. |
Haruka blinked and turned her attention back to Leiko with a small blush. She wasn't sure how long she had been staring at Negi. "Um..." Her mind struggled to remember the question for a minute, "Oh. I'm fifteen...almost sixteen." She told the rat, hoping the girl hadn't noticed her ogling the cat.

The rat grinned at the ox. "You're older than I thought you were," she giggled, "Not that your immature... I just remember you when I was like five." Leiko smiled at the younger girl. She had caught the girl staring at Negi, but she wasn't going to bring it up. It was none of her business if she liked Negi.

Yukina sighed then leaned back in her chair. She was hungry again, and really wanted to taste those Hamburgers. She turned to Kyo and sighed to herself. She wished they were along so they could talk with out having to worry about people hearing. |
Haruka shrugged. She wasn't around the compound enough to really encounter the other juunishi, other than Yuki since they shared a house. It was no wonder no one noticed how much she had changed from the little kid her mother had finally been forced to leave at the main house, because Haru's personality shifts at the time had been much more frequent than they were now.
"It's fine. I don't care much about what people think anyway." She smiled to let Leiko know she wasn't upset. (OOC: Yes, Metal is done with Mene for tonight. He has a headache.) |

She smiled back at the girl. "That's good... I wish I was like that, but sometimes it gets to me," she answered quietly. It wasn't that the rat was antisocial that she never visited the others around the compound she was just... shy. Extremely shy as to rephrase that. Leiko had the habit of thinking what people would think if she said something stupid... thus the overthinking. |
Kyo listened silently and smiled. He closed his eyes listenig to everything around him. He loved to listen to things and it was a habit of his. He finally opened his eyes and looked around studying the place. But his eyes kept wondering back to Yukina and his thoughts lingured on the quick kiss.

Haruka forced a smile, "If I care, it makes me angry. I'm..er...I'm a different person when I'm angry." She hedged, not sure how much Leiko knew about her mental problems and afraid of scaring the shy rat away with talk about her black persona. Still, the girl needed to be warned if she was going to be around her very much.

Leiko blushed at the talk of getting angry. "I have quite the temper when I get upset... I'm slowly getting control over it... much better than when I was younger," she sighed quietly. The rat was somewhat aware of her black and white sides. At first they thought that was what was wrong with Leiko, but she just has a temper. Then she shrugged. "We can't be perfect. That's why we're human," she said quietly.

"Are we?" Haruka mumbled, mostly talking to herself. "Sometimes I wonder..."

Leiko shrugged hearing her mumbled. "I think we are," she answered quietly, "Just tortured souls." Softly she sighed as she considered her existence. It was a little upsetting to think if she met her love on the street she could never be with him.

Haruka hadn't realized she even asked that question out loud so she was a little startled to be answered. She blinked but didn't know what to say, so she changed the subject. "So what do you do for fun, Leiko?" She asked, having never paid much attention to the rat before.

As kyo listened he had to agree with Leiko. They were humans... Just tortured souls withthis curse... And now thinking about it Negi was probily the most tortured... And yet at the same time Kyo envied him. He could live here working in this shop without much worry at all... Kyo had always longed for freedom.... Always wanting to break the curse... But it was impossible. His thoughts then slid back to the Negi problem... What was he going to say? Even if he got Negi alone... He wasn't exactly sure what Satori's feelings were for him... She was good at masking her emotions.

Bits of the conversation going on inside drifted out the back door to where Rei sat. She listened to the conversation and her eyes closed as she leaned her head back. Tortured souls were they? That seemed a fitting title...not being able to love without fear of being hurt. Not being able to hug one's own parents...or having one's parents not truly loving them...Rei's eyes darkened beneath her eyelids, that would probably have to be the worst part. A parent's love is supposed to be precious isn't it?

She tilted her head as the girl asked her what she liked to do for fun. "I go for walks a lot. I like all the different animals... I really like chipmunks though... it makes me wish it was a zodiac animal... I wouldn't mind being it," she laughed softly, "I like to read sometimes too." Leiko had never really minded being the rat, but it was associated with ugliness not beauty. She didn't really like being associated with ugliness. "What about you?" she asked Haruka. Leiko was curious what Rei was doing, but didn't want to abandon her conversation with the ox.

Haruka shrugged, "I walk around a lot too." She admitted, not mentioning that it was more because of her lousy sense of direction than because she wanted to do it. "And I read...and I watch the clouds sometimes." She added thoughtfully, remembering how she spent her morning.

Yukina felt really out of the conversation, but she remembered she had a cube in her purse. She pulled it out and set about trying to get the colors to stay on one side, Her tongue stuck out a little as she concentrated. She was really getting frustrated since all the other colors just went everywhere. Giving up she stuck the cube back in her purse and crossed her arms angrily.

Yukina looked up and smiled. "What kind of books do you read?" She asked truly wondering. She mostly read Manga's and american comics. But she had read quite a few novels, one of her favorite was Through the looking glass. |
The rat looked to the ox and smiled. "I like to watch the clouds too," she aswered. Leiko was surprised when Yukina spoke. "Well. I read action novels and romance... stuff like that, how about you?" she asked quietly. She would never admit it out loud, but she really liked the Twilight Saga, but that was another one of her secrets.

"Uhh.....Well, one of my favorite books is actually Eclipse from the twilight Saga." She admitted quietly. She knew most people hated those books, but she just loved Jasper. "But other then that, I mostly read Manga." She added hoping no one had heard her.

Leiko's eyes grew wide. "No way! Eclipse is my favorite out of the saga too! But I really like them all! Jacob is sooo cool!" she exclaimed then immediately blushed. The rat covered her mouth with her one hand in embarrassment. She really hadn't wanted anyone to know that... but too late now. "I've never really read manga... not even when I was younger," she answered quietly trying to divert the attention from her twilight obsession.
