Kaori hurried off to the hospital behind the Nara boy. This was not the start to an ideal morning. It wasn't even midday and she was already dragging a lifeless body around and getting blood stains on her clothes. Once she reached the hospital she turned Shineji over to the med-nin and stretched. But wait, wasn't there something she was supposed to do this morning? Something kind of important.. Her eyes widened in realization. She practically flew from the hospital entrance and through the village. Her pace slowed as she approached the schoolyard, allowing her the chance to run her fingers through her tangling ponytail and slightly smooth it out. She could only imagine what her squad would think of her once they saw her like this, all disheveled, blood stained, and flushed in the face.

((OOC: I gotta head off for the night. I'll post as Moegi in the morning, but I'll send a quick Satoshi post in a sec.))

Satoshi extended his arm and held the letter out for Naruto to grab. "You might want to read this for yourself, Hokage-sama," He replied, his normally bright eyes dulled by the unspoken news.

OOC: Triple post Faiyth. O_o' Condense it all into one post and report the other two (and mark them DELETE) so you don't get in trouble for it, kay? That's cool though, Moegi's team hasn't showed yet anyway.

Kaze blinked as a disheveled looking woman burst into the schoolyard and headed their way. She glanced at the sky, their sensei should have arrived a while ago. Obviously from the woman's appearance there had been trouble this morning. She decided not to bother greeting the woman until she was sure that this was their new teacher. No sense wasting her breath after all.

Shinji stood a little straighter as the woman approached, but showed no other outward sign of interest in her presence. He wasn't the talkative kind and he didn't want to make a fool of himself if this wasn't their new sensei.

OOC: I'm posting as the med-nin. Saravi, I can work up a full profile for her if you want.
Two patients with extreme chakra exhaustion. She'd had one of her assistants give the girl a chakra infusion; after a few more hours rest, she should be alright. Though she would definitely reccommend the girl go light on chakra use for a day or so. Really, what kind of jounin sensei was Konoha appointing these days? The genin had just graduated and they had already brought her a chakra exhaustion case.
She shook her head and turned back to the chuunin. In addition to extreme chakra depletion, he was suffering from soldier pill overuse, severed hamstrings, and an abdominal wound that had just missed his right kidney and upper intestines. She healed the side wound first, though potentially the most dangerous, it was the cleanest cut and easiest to fix. She moved on to the hamstring muscles which would take a bit more time. This boy wasn't going anywhere for at least a day.

"Sorry, I'm late!" Kaori piped up as she approached Shinji and Kaze. "There was a disturbance by the gate and, well, yeah.." Her voice trailed off and she paused close to the duo, crossing her arms over her chest. Kaori had a rather slender build and if it wasn't for her curves, she'd look more like their missing teammate as opposed to their new sensei. "I'm assuming this is my squad..or..atleast most of it?" She raised a brow at the obvious absence of a third member. She also took note of another Nara child. Kaori cursed internally, hoping this one was atleast more polite than the one she had just encountered. "I apologize for my appearance. This hasn't been the best of mornings." She added, fully aware that she resembled someone who just got into a fight rather than someone prepared for a good, first impression.

Kaze raised one hand in a lazy wave, "Yo." She said dryly. "Have you got a name, sensei?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. Obviously the woman was flustered. She didn't look much older than they were. "Also, can you prove you're not an imposter? Our sensei was supposed to be here a long time ago. How do we know you didn't fight her and take her place?" Kaze had one hand on her fan and the other was behind her back forming the hand signs for her Shadow Wind jutsu. If the woman was an imposter, she'd be ready to imobilize her and send Shinji for help.

Shinji stepped closer to Kaze as she brought up a very good point. They had no way of knowing if this woman was who she said she was, and her appearance did suggest she'd just been in a fight or something. His kikaichu buzzed in reaction to his nervousness and some of them crept out of his sleeves and collar to see what was causing him distress. Some even flew over to the woman to have a closer look.

Naruto looked over the note and paled, "Darn it. That was supposed to be a simple recon mission. We need to organize a retrieval team." He went through the available ninja files on his desk. "Crap, all we've got are genin...but Konohamaru's team has more experience. Bring them to me immediately." He would order them to locate Shineji but under no circumstances were they to engage the enemy.

OOC: The med-nin is fine, If you want to play her as a second character, make a profile. If not she'll stay an NPC. Hmm...Where is Ninja? Faiyth do I need to play Moegi? It's fine if i do. I just need to know.

Kaito's eyes darted to the other side of the academy where Soyokaze and Shinji were apparently meeting their new sensei. Kaito leaned his head back, bored out of his mind. His sensei and Hana were late, and Kaida was nowhere to be seen. Where was everybody?

((OOC: I can play her, I'm just trying to figure out her personality and junk before I make a post. ))

Kaori raised both her brows at this and eyed the insects with nothing but slight distaste. "You know," She sighed, tossing her head back, "When I was a genin, I didn't question my elders." 'What do these children want from me anyway? I'm really not cut out for this job..' "Oh, alright, I'll bite." With that, her right index finger twitched ever so slightly. A string of chakra flung from her finger tip and planted itself firmly to Soyokaze's beloved fan. With a curl of the same finger she easily snatched the weapon from the genin's hand and into her waiting palm. To the untrained eye, the chakra string was invisible and too thin to be sensed by newly graduated genin anyway. Kaori jabbed the closed fan out at the two. "My name is Kaori Tanaka. I'm Konoha's best weapon master, and I'll have no more of this 'proving myself' to you." She figured a simple chakra reeling technique would be enough. There was no need to exhaust herself by demonstrating any other techniques only her mother and herself were prominently known throughout Konoha for anyway. After all, Tenten was the first in the village to develop this technique, so naturally only her daughter would be able to perform it so nonchalantly. "Here," She flung the fan back at Kaze and placed her hands on her hips. "Now. Who's missing?"

OOC: Well, Kaito is stuck waiting for someone to interact with. lol. Also, I was talking to you above. I can't do anything until you respond.

"Right away, sir!" Satoshi replied as he ran out of the Hokage's office. His insanely swift running was definitely a trait he inherited from his father. Once he was outside, Satoshi tossed his head in every direction. He'd forgotten to ask where Naruto thought Konohamaru would be. "If I were Konohamaru, where would I..Oh, his house! It's still early!" Satoshi flew down the street but eventually hopped on a rooftop and took a more scenic route to Konohamaru's home. The youngest, more handsome, green beast of Konoha dropped into of the front doorway effortlessly and immediately started knocking on the door. "Konohamaru-san! Hokage-sama needs to speak to you! Please be home!"

Moegi walked from the hospital with a hung head. Today was the day she was supposed to meet her new team, and one of them was already in the hospital for chakra exhaustion. She wasn't really in a huge hurry to reach the school yard to meet her other squad members, especially since they couldn't proceed with introductions and training with a man down so early on. Upon finally arriving to the school yard, Moegi first noticed Kaori standing next to what was probably her new squad. She didn't appear too pleased and even being several yards away she could feel her infamous temper brewing. "Kaori-san! Thank you for going to the front gate and having Shikaharu take Kaida to the hospital!" Moegi waved, attempting to keep the volcano from blowing. She was appreciative, but she knew that Konohamaru's squad member would've taken his cousin to recieve medical help anyway, without Kaori's attempt at orders. Only after her outburst did Moegi actually noticed Kaito standing by himself. There's one, but where was her other genin? Come to think of it, Kaori only had two next to her too. Was it skip meeting your sensei day?

"Oh, hello," she smiled, approaching the Inuzuka boy. "You must be Kaito, right?" Unlike Kaori, Moegi fit the part of a jounin and it helped that she wasn't dirty from carrying an injured nin to the hospital. "My name's Moegi Kurojima, and I'm the jounin assigned to your squad."

OOC: Kay, thanks.

"When you were a genin you weren't as smart as me." Kaze snorted as she caught her fan. "You forget who my uncle is or something? Chakra strings are hardly impressive." She yawned. Even without seeing the strings, she knew that technique almost as intimately as the ones she actually used. "Still, I guess that'll do." She shrugged. "Soyokaze Nara." She nodded her head in greeting. "Nice to meet you, Kaori-sensei.

Shinji relaxed and recalled his insects. He noted Kaori's expression, regarding the kikaichu, with some dismay but nothing showed outwardly as he gave a small bow. "Shinji Aburame. I apologize for our suspicion, Kaori-sensei. Alex Uzumaki is not here yet. Perhaps she overslept?" He suggested.

Konohamaru tapped his foot impatiently. Where on earth was his squad? Had they gone to the wrong training area? He was sure he had said three...He was beginning to get concerned now. They weren't usually this late.

Kaze turned her head, her whole demeanor changing at the mention of her cousin being in the hospital. In a blur she was next to Moegi. "Why is my cousin in the hospital? Is she alright?" She demanded, "And what did Haru have to do with it?" Her concern was obvious at the thought of any of her family being hurt.

After grabbing a apple,Hana realized how late she was.She ran across the rooftops as fast as she could and made it to where she saw Kaito and who she assumed was her new sensi and landed next to them.'Where's Kaida?'She looked around for her,but she must have been even later then her.

Kaito's eyes widened and he didn't even register what his sensei was saying. Kaida was in the hospital? What the...? She'd been perfectly fine last time he saw her, what could have happened? In fact he was so out of it, he jumped when Hana landed next to him, almost crashing into Soyokaze and fell onto his butt.

Kaori snorted and rolled her eyes at the stab at her intelligence, "No, no, the pleasure is all mine...." What an interesting twist of fate this was. Here she stood, accepting the daughter of the sand shinobi that once beat her own mother into a bloody pulp as her own pupil. Surprisingly though, she wasn't offended by the blunt belittling of her technique. She knew of Kankuro of the Sand, and she knew that only he and only a few others rivaled her skill and chakra control in regard to chakra strings. "So, a Nara, an Aburame, and the Hokage's daughter, huh? Hmph. Of all people, I'd expect her to be on time." Kaori took a few steps back and glanced over at the school yard's entrance.

"Your cousin is perfectly fine. She just somehow managed to exhaust every once of chakra in her body in a very short time span." Moegi replied, looking down at the worried, questioning genin. "As for your brother, he was first on the scene. He's fine as well." She nudged her head in Kaori's direction, "Your sensei arrived after him. There was another injured boy nearby, but any furthur information is classified."

Meanwhile, Satoshi was running around the village like a chicken with his head cut off. He was told by a person on the street that Konohamaru was out in the third training ground. With a deep bow, Satoshi thanked the man for the tip and flew past him, leaving a trail of dirt and dust floating in his wake. Once he arrived at the training ground, Satoshi kept running and only came to a rough stop when he was a few feet from the third Hokage's grandson. "K-Konohamaru-san. H-Hokage-sama wants to speak with you a-and your squad." He spoke, trying to catch his breath.

Kaze ignored the spastic Inuzuka and kept her eyes on Moegi, listening intently to her answer. She sighed in relief and shifted back into her usual lazy posture. "Thank you, Moegi-san." She nodded and returned to her seat on the swing. She scratched her head and looked sheepishly at her sensei. "Sorry, Kaori-sensei. Thank you for assisting my cousin." She said with a small crooked smile.

Shinji watched his friend with concern but stayed where he was. Kaze could be a little unreasonable when it came to her family and it was best to stay out of the way unless she was doing something violent. Still he was relieved when she relaxed and returned to them. Obviously it wasn't too serious or she'd have gone rushing off to the hospital.

Konohamaru scowled. "I'd like to see my squad as well." He snapped, before registering Satoshi's serious look. "Come on, if we split up, we should be able to find them quickly." He started towards the Nara compound, seeing as it was closer than the village. "You check the hospital, in case one of Lexi's jokes went badly. I'll check their homes."

OOC: Hmm? Why would you need to rewrite?

"You're welcome." Kaori replied, surprised by the quick change in Soyokaze's attitude. "Now, the Uzumaki girl, shall we wait for her? Well... Actually, we don't really have much of a choice. I'd hate to have the Hokage on me for ditching his tardy daughter."

Moegi looked over at Hana and then to Kaito and cringed. "Are you alright, Kaito?" She questioned softly, extending a hand to help him off the ground.

"Right!" Satoshi nodded and once again made a bee line back into the village. The hospital wasn't too far and he made it within a few minutes with his speed. He barged through the main entrance and instantly began searching for the genin of Konohamaru's squad. He knew one was Nara and one was a Hyuuga. "Freaky eyes or dark hair..freaky eyes or dark hair." He chanted to himself as he searched the bottom floor of the hospital.

OOC: lol, Satoshi cracks me up. I see what you mean about the editing. Oh well, the thread comes out smoother in the end because of it.

Kaze shrugged. "We could go see if she's still asleep." She suggested reluctantly. In truth she would much rather just sit and stare at the leaves.

Shinji nodded, "Alex-san would not have purposefully missed this meeting. I'm certain she will be along shortly."

Knohamaru arrived at the Nara household and was met at the door by Yoshino. "Yoshino-san," He bowed politely. "Is Shikaharu still here by any chance? He failed to arrive at our appointed meeting place this morning."

Yoshino shook her head. "Haru already left over an hour ago. I can't imagine where he could have wandered off to." She frowned, internally deciding that if her grandson was slacking off somewhere, there would be terrible consequences when she got a hold of him.

Hana,being late,had no idea what they meant about Kaida,pieced it together that something was wrong."What happend to Kaida?"

"Fine fine." Kaito said. Hopping back to his feet almost instantly, ignoring his sensei's hand, "thank you anyway." Tenshi barked and then sniffed the air around the woamn, then she barked again. kaito grinned, picking up the dog, "She likes you Sensei."

"Hm, We'll give her a few more minutes." Kaori sighed, hands on her hips.

Moegi smiled, taking that as a compliment. "I'm glad, training's always easier when your pupils like you." She turned to Hana, "Kaida is in the hospital recovering from chakra exhaustion. She'll be just fine. No need to worry. You, uh, must be Hana, right?"

Satoshi checked each room one by one: Lady giving birth, some guy on life support, knocked out red headed girl, boy with a bro-wait.. Satoshi paused, turned around on his heal and peered back into the room with the red headed girl. If the Kazekage's daughter's here, then there's a good chance that her cousin may be as well. "Shikaharu? Are you in here?" His voice questioned quietly. Kaida was on the hospital bed resting and he'd prefer not to wake her.

OOC: Shikaharu..unless you are messing it up on purpose, in which case it's fine.

Kaze nodded and returned to watching the leaves. She really wanted to go check on her cousin, but with two jonins telling her Kaida was fine she couldn't justify running off. She wondered if anyone had thought to inform her parents of Kaida's condition. They were her guardians as long as she was living in Konoha after all.

Shinji leaned back against the tree. He noted that Kaze was still a bit more tense than usual, obviously she was still worried and trying to hide it, but his kikaichu were almost as attuned to her emotions as they were to his own. Constant proximity had that affect on them. Without moving, he sent out a couple of insects. One flew off to the hospital to check on Kaida and the other flew over and landed on Kaze's hair. It was easier for Shinji to read her if he kept one of his beetles on her and she didn't usually mind.

Kaze felt a crawling sensation on her head and reached up to find the cause. The kikaichu crawled onto her finger and she brought it to eye level with a wry grin. "I'm fine Shinji." She said almost inaudibly. "Don't be such a worrywort." Still, if it made him feel better...she let the insect crawl back into her hair. "Just tell it to be still okay, that tickles."

Konohamaru was disturbed by Yoshino's words. "Thank you, Yoshino-san." He bowed again and then set out for Lexi's house.

Hana smiled at her sensei."Yes.Im Hana.Nice to meet you."She tugged on one of her strands of hair.

"It's nice to meet you as well." Moegi replied with a nod. "Well, good, the only one out now is Kaida."

"While we're waiting, I'd like to tell the two of you something important." Kaori spoke up, looking off. Her tone was slightly solemn. "This team is now you're family. You will grow to know more about each other than anyone else. Weaknesses. Strengths. Everything." She crossed her arms over her chest and glanced up at the sky, "I can take a lot of things, but I will not tolerate a break in teamwork. Without that, a squad has nothing." As she spoke, Kaori could see memories of her own squad flash before her eyes. She turned away and took a deep breath. It was still hard for her to think of her fallen teammate, even three years after his untimely death. She constantly struggled internally with the part of her that blamed herself for Takeo's death and ran through all the ifs. If she had been more careful. If they hadn't taken the mission. If she would've been stronger. "Just..Promise me that you guys will never give up on each other, okay?"
