Kaze frowned as the girl moved and redirected her shadow on a new course to intercept her. She saw Alex talking to Lexi and knew she had only seconds for the shadow to reach her before Lexi would do whatever she had planned. 'Come on. Just another second.' Her shadow stopped moving, she had reached her distance limit. 'Darn it!' She spotted Lexi starting to do some hand signs and made a split second decision. She grabbed for Alex with her shadow and without checking to see if it had succeeded, she did a back flip and a high jump that should have landed Alex over the academy wall and out of Lexi's line of sight. Kaze landed hard in the street outside the Academy wall and looked to where Alex should have been if the shadow possession worked.

OOC: Up to you whether that worked or not, Ninja.

Alex's shodaow was just barely touched By Kaze's shadow possession Jutsu and suddenly found herself hurdling through the air just as Lexi was about to do her thing. She soon landed hard Over by where Kaze was looking. and yelled out "OW MY BUTT!!" she rubbed her butt as she looked over to where Kaze was. "Thanks... whatever she was about to do I imagine it wasn't going to be nice... looks like I owe ya one" she smiled.

Lexi had just gotten her handsign in and done the Jutsu just Alex went flying out of her sight "Dammit... that girl can jump high"

Hana looked at Kaito."Sure,Kaito-san...What kind of food do you want to get?"As soon as she thought of food,nigirimeshi came to mind.Rice Balls! XDShe wouldent mind ramen ether.She looked at Kaito."Nigirimeshi okay?I like nigirimeshi..."She trailed off.

OOC: No problem. It is easy to miss things. Happens to everyone.

Kaze nodded at the thanks, "Sorry about the landing, mine wasn't great either." She shoved her hands in her pockets and pondered what to do next. Kaida would be looking for her soon but going back in there would be stupid with Lexi looking for them. Standing around in the street with Lexi looking for them was also not very smart. 'Darn, if only Kaida had seen me go over the wall.' She sighed, 'That jump had to have been high enough to be spotted from the ground..if she was looking.'

OOC: lol, let's see if Aoi will make things easy on me....er...on Kaze

Kaida looked around for a moment and closed her eyes again, searching for her cousin's chakra patterns. After locating it she disappeared in a swirl of sand and landed softly next to her cousin, the panda once again dangling from one hand. She seemed like she was trying to hide from someone so Kaida tried to peer over Soyokaze's shoulder to see who it was.

"Yea. That sounds good. Know any good places?" Kaito asked, scratching Tenshi's head as he spoke to Hana. He didn't really mind where they went, anywhere was better than just standing in front of the academy they had just graduated from.

((I gotsta go sleep now. night~))

Kaze turned to look as her cousin dropped in beside her. 'Well, that's convenient.' She mused. "Ready to go?" She asked without really expecting much of an answer. "Come on before Lexi spots us." She said to both girls. Then she jumped up to the roof of a nearby building and headed for the edge of town and the Nara estate in the woods beyond. She assumed Alex would follow so she didn't bother to look back.

OOC: Okay, Aoi. I'm just going to drag Kaida along as far as the Nara house, kay? That way she'll be left in a logical place for the rest of the day until you post again.

Alex followed Kaze to the Nara estate. As she caught up with Kaze she spoke "Is there anything special I should know when entering the Nara estate... any type of ritual?" Every family had ther little thing that was required. With the Hyuuga's it was all about proper etiquette and respect to those higher in status than you even if they were outside the family and since she was main branch she had to set a good example. Another burden she could do without... But she couldn't have chosen her heritage. Though somtimes she wished she could have.

((I'm making Lexi wander for a while until I can find a spot to put her.))

Kaze looked at the girl and raised an eyebrow, "Just don't cause any trouble." she shrugged. Her family was pretty laid back. Living so far outside the village walls, fancy etiquette had long since been tossed aside for practicality and common sense. Well, there was one thing she figured counted as a rule. "And try not to spook the deer if you see them." She said firmly. That was one of the only rules her grandfather enforced, even as lazy as he was.

She pushed the shoji aside and entered the foyer, removing her shoes and leaving them there. "I'm home." She hollered.

The force of nature known as Yoshino Nara swept down upon them. "I'm so proud of you, Soyokaze! I fixed all your favorite foods for supper...Oh, we have guests." The Nara Matriarch straightened and bowed. "Kaida-san, welcome to our home. Your room is all ready for you."

She eyed Alex, "Alexandria-san, you will stay for supper, won't you?" The tone brooked no arguments. She turned and yelled back into the house, "Shikaku, Shikamaru, Temari!! We have guests!!" Her tone held hints of violence if any of those she called didn't show up promptly, so soon the entryway was populated by three more ninjas. Shikaku and his son merely nodded at Alex and then slouched near the walls and looked annoyed. It was almost funny how they mirrored each other.

"Hey Alex-chan." Temari grinned and took charge of her niece, "Come on, Kaida-chan. I'll show you to your room. I'm sure you want to rest up from the trip. It can be difficult if you aren't used to it." She led the quiet girl away and deposited her in a nice guest room that Yoshino had prepared for her.

Kaze rolled her eyes at her grandmother's antics, which got her whapped on the head by Yoshino. "Ow, sheesh..." She rubbed her head, "We'll be in my room until supper, okay?" She took off for the back of the house before her grandmother could protest, "Come on, Alex." She called back with just a touch of urgency.

OOC: Sorry if that was a lot. Wanted to get Kaida squared away for the night and Yoshino ran away with my post. lol.

Alex followed Kaze as she whispered "Why are you in a hurry?" She thought about the family she had just met and a few familiar faces she had seen before beacuse of her dads line of work and his friendships. She got up to Kaze's room which looked rather plain... wasn't really surprising due to her laid back nature. "Nice room" was all she could think to say.

((I can change the part about Kaze's room If you want. I was just looking for a bit of filler.))

OOC: It's fine. I hadn't given it much thought but it fits her character. The room is surprisingly clean though. Yoshino makes sure of that. There's a desk with a chair if you don't want to sit on the bed with Kaze.

Kaze flopped down on her bed with a relieved sigh. "Yeah, Grams can be a little...pushy." She said slowly. "If we had stayed out there much longer, it would have gotten....difficult." Kaze didn't like to admit it, but she was terrified of her grandmother sometimes. The woman was almost scarier than her mom, and at least Temari never tried to make her act domestic the way Yoshino did. "Grams is always trying to get me to be more....feminine, I guess." She tucked her hands behind her head and stared at her ceiling, thinking of the cooking and cleaning and grocery shopping that her grandmother so often made her do. "Keh, what a drag." she muttered.

Alex looked over to Kaze "What do you mean messy? and feminine?" She knew what feminine was because she had to learn proper etiquette which meant learning 'how to be a woman' which to her seemed sexist but it was part of proper etiquette which was part of the reason she didn't really care for it. All the proper ways to walk the proper way to pour tea the proper way to address a man... it was all crazy to her.

OOC: Angelica is one of the characters that has ceased to exist...she never joined in so she's gone. On the plus side that leaves Lee unmarried as far as I know so far, so you can go back to saying you have a crush on him instead. By the way, lol, that was not subtle. O_o' I told you that crush was going to have to be secret. lol, because of the no Yuri/Yaoi rule.

Kaze frowned and sighed, "Well, she would have dragged me into the kitchen to help with supper. She's been trying to get me to learn to cook for years." Kaze rolled her eyes, the truth was she could cook just fine, but she wasn't stupid enough to let her grandmother know that. Yoshino would never give up on the lessons then and who knew what she'd do next in her quest to civilize her lazy grand daughter. "She says I won't ever find a husband if I don't learn to run a household." Kaze thought husbands sounded like a lot of trouble and had long ago decided not to have one unless she could find someone who was prepared to accept her just the way she was. "Keh, not like I want one anyway. Sounds like marriage would be more trouble than it's worth." She tried not to think about the fact that, as the future clan head, she was expected to marry and produce an heir.

Alex looked up at the ceiling "You think we could sneak out and head to the hyuuga estate now?... or are my suspicions correct that I won't be able to leave the house until after dinner?" She had noticed that Kaze's grandmother was a bit agressive when she got to the Nara household and didn't need it pointed out.

OOC: That works. *shrug* Sorry about the other falling through. If everyone is okay with it, once we have a full group, I'll allow yaoi or yuri crushes. I just didn't want to scare off potential players. Okay?

Kaze frowned thoughtfully, trying to come up with a way of getting out of the house that wouldn't bring Yoshino's wrath down on her head, but her planning was interrupted by her grandmother's voice.

"Soyokaze! Dinner is ready! Bring your friend and come eat."

Kaze sat up and shook her head, "Come on, if we eat fast we can be out of here in twenty minutes." She said as she headed for the hallway.

Yoshino had really outdone herself. All of Kaze's favorite foods were spread on the table, sushi and onigiri, pickles and curry with rice, and more. Soyokaze settled into her usual place at the table and gestured for Alex to sit next to her. As soon as the rest of the family was settled, her grandfather nodded and there was a chorus of "Itadakimasu!!" (Let's eat! more or less)

There was no standing on ceremony at the Nara house, Everything was sitting on the table and if someone wanted something they just reached for it. Kaze filled her plate and dug in to the delicious meal.

OOC: Trying to hurry up so we can get to the Hyuugas for you. Kay, Ninja.

Kaida simply nodded her head and dashed quickly after her cousin, casting a curious glance at the other girl, Alex was it? She turned her eyes back in front of her while Soyokaze spoke to Alex. Kaida already knew these things and landed gently next to her cousin, removing her shoes and placing them beside the older girl's. When Yoshino appeared Kaida blinked quickly in mild surprise. Then she returned the elderly woman's bow with one of her own. She was greatful for what the Nara family was doing for her, by letting her stay here with them.

When Temari started to lead her away Kaida cast a final look over her shoulder at the people gathered at the door before bringing her panda up and nuzzling it slightly with her nose and following her aunt. Her footsteps were light as she walked behind her aunt. Those two were very similar, Kaida mused, Temari-oba-chan and Soyokaze-chan. What else would you expect from mother and daughter? She wondered what her own mother was like, Kaida was sure she took after her father because he was the only parent figure he had ever known, even when he used to be slightly awkward around her.

When they stopped in front of a nicely furnished room Kaida knew that that was the room that had been prepared for her. She looked up at her aunt and mouthed a 'thank you' before walking into the room. Her stuff had already been put away by who Kaida suspected was Yoshina. Kaida closed her eyes and placed her panda onto the bed then turned to the closet. First things first, she'd need to change. She pulled open the closet and looked through her clothes and pulled out an outfit that she felt would be easier to move around in. She shrugged out of her clothes and then slipped on the simple red t-shirt with a black sweater on top and she didn't bother changing her pants. She picked up her panda and headed for the dining room when she heard the call for dinner. After she had gotten seated she murmured a quiet, "Itadakimasu." She tugged her head-neck-band-thingy down so that she could eat and quietly ate, watching as the rest of the family dug in.

OOC: Someone said they'd send me a character today, so I'll wait and see if she comes through. That post was absolutely fine. Sorry you had so much to catch up on, I just kind of dragged you along because otherwise Kaze and Alex couldn't move. I'll try not to do it again. ^_^ *waits for Ninja to post*

((no, it's fine if you drag me along at least you don't make my character do things like randomly fall asleep when their writing or something. It's fine ^^ and plus, it's a lot better that way, I at least have somewhere to jump back in.))

Hana thought for a moment."Theres one place over by the west gate that has great nigirimeshi.Want to go there?"Hana looked at Kaito.

I twas thinking,and i think Hana did better at something or another at the academy and kind of 'rubbed it in' and Kaze got pissed?XD.Fail.Thats all i can come up with,at least.Any better ideas?That idea seems to fit in with her...and why she doesn't 'rub it in' anymore.XD

OOC: Hmm...okay, maybe she also made some remark in the process about Kaze's Suna heritage (maybe repeating something she overheard from some stuffy Hyuuga elder). That's really the only quick way to get her pissed, other than hurting her friends...Aoi, glad you are okay with where I left you. I did my best to leave you in a good place to jump back in.

Kaze ate her food quicker than usual but she still wasn't the sort to inhale her food. She wanted to hurry up and go with Alex to the Hyuuga compound, because the sooner that was over the sooner she could come home and go to bed. She was dreading getting up in the morning...though she always dreaded waking up early so that wasn't really anything unusual.

Alex heard the call of food and was downstairs and at the table quicker than greased lightning hopped up on steroids and energy drinks. She had to wait patiently for everybody else and once the 'Itidakimasu' was sadi she filled her plate with as much as it would carry and started eating like a ravenous wolf. Her mother had always scorned her for her poor eating habits but her father of course would always say "There is nothing wrong with a healthy appetite" Of course Naruto would say something like that. Plus with Hinata her hungry husband and daughter always had the chance to cook. Soon though her plate was finished and she refilled her plate and started digging in more.

Sano watched the whole plan that Lexi had did. It didn't go as planned. Sano put her hand behind her head. "I think I was kind of glad I wasn't a part of that. Eheheh.." she said with a sweat drop. She then shrugged and decided to walk to Ichiraku's Ramen Shop. She almost never eats ramen but she was hungry and had some money on her so the thought 'why not?' Sano went passed the curtains and took a seat. "Shrimp and Mushroom please!" she asked Ayame. Ayame nodded and began to cook. Sano sighed and waited patiently.

I think thats what we should do.Those Hyuuga elders CAN be stuffy...XD XD XD

Lexi bounded up by her cousin and sat "make it two please" she semi-smiled at Sano "It didn't work... oh well" She was now thinking of her nect prank and who she would pull it on.
