"Okay." Feng walks out with him.
'I think this'll be funny!' -Shut up... how hard could it be?- Ama comes out with them, 'C'mon Tikith! This could end up being difficult for your rider and maybe you could help.' |
~Okay.~ Tikith paddled out with Hamon, both stopping when the water was to his mid chest.
"This'll be good, the water shouldn't be too deep," he said, turning to face her. "If you want to go shallower, tell me." |
"I think i'll be okay... so... what now? You said something about floating?"Feng works to keep her head above the waves.
Amaranth looks over to Tikith. 'This is gonna be good.' |
"Yeah, arch your back, relax,and lean back. I'll be right here to help you so you don't sink right away," he said, gently holding her arm.
~Yeah, he's taught a lot of kids how to swim, so he's not as nervous anymore, either.~ |
Feng does as he says and almost panics as her face goes below water before he can be there to hold her up.
'Trust him. Tikith says he's taught a lot of kids to swim.' Amaranth turns to Tikith 'You're sure he knows what he's doing?' |
~Yeah, I can see it in his head. No one he's taught has drowned.~
Hamon held her face above the water. "Relax, I'm here, I won't let you drown." He put one arm under Fenghua'ng's back, lightly holding her up, as well as keeping one hand under her head. "Going under like that is normal, it's when you panic that you risk drowning." |
Feng looks up into his eyes and nods. gotta trust him She takes a deep breath and relaxes. "So what now?"

"Now I see if you can float without my help," he said. "Keep relaxed, with your back arched, and don't panic, you might sink a little. I'll catch you if you go too far." He slowly pulled his arms away, waiting to see how she would do.

Feng closes her eyes tight and when she starts to sink, a wave pushes water into her nose and she panics twining her body around his, her face pressed into his shoulder.

"Ah!" Hamon took a surprised step back, arms splayed out to hold his balance. "Fenghua'ng, you were fine. You just had to snort the water out," he said, wrapping his arms around her. He took a deep breath, ars starting to turn pink as he remembered who he was dealing with.
~That was, and now all he can think about is her!~ |
"Sorry," Feng says looking up from where she was, "I kind of panicked there." She unwinds carefully from Hamon staying very close with an arm around his waist and takes a deep breath, collecting herself. "Lets try again. I think i can control myself."

"You're sure?" Hamon asked, trying to control his blush."

"Yeah... I'll never get anywhere if i run away now. Who knows when we'll get another chance to come to the beach."

"Right," Hamon said, "So, just repeat what you did, without the panicking part. I'll hold you up again"
~Yeah. And she might try to cling to him again.~ |
Feng leans back and gets her float on. When he pulls his hands away, She sinks a little, but snorts water out of her nose when it happens again. After a few seconds of floating, She lifts her head up and says, "Hey!..." When she sinks again, she panics and clings to Hamon.

He did a better job of catching her this time, but turned red again. "Lifting your head created tension in your muscles, making you sink." He looked at her. "Um... try not to get so excited."
~Hamon, what's wrong?~ -Nothing, leave me be about it.- |
Feng notices his discomfort, and looks down, "Uh..." she looks up, "Sorry... I didn't mean to... uh... do... uh... that. Um... Maybe we should take a break for lunch?"
'Wow! You're head is full of interesting immages!' "Shut up Amaranth" 'Why? Is it a bad thing?' -Not now- Feng climbs down and steps back. "Sorry." |
Hamon's blush deepened as she noticed. "Yeah, give me a minute. I'll be up after you, I just... yeah..."
~Hamon? What is that?~ -I'll tell you when you're older. Go back to shore with Amaranth and Fenghua'ng.- ~All right...~ |
"Okay." Feng walks toward the beach. -c'mon Amaranth.-
'What's he doing?' -When you're older- 'Always when i'm older' Amaranth growls. -Don't you growl at me! You're still too young! You shouldn't have even seen those images! And no. I will not be explaining those either.- |
Tikith followed Feng. ~What's wrong with them?~ he asked Amaranth, looking at her.
Hamon.... well, he went behind a rock and was busy. |
'Feng won't explain it to me.'
Feng goes over to thier stuff and lays out one of the blankets. She then dries off and gets dressed. She grabs thier stuff and lays out cheese ,bread, fruit, and meat for them before pulling out some of the meat she had brought for the dragons and feeding them a bit of it. |

Hamon came back around the rock slowly. He peeked at Fenghua'ng, sighing with relief when he saw that she had her clothes on. He walked over, picking up his shirt and throwing it on. "Um... nice selection. I guess you just let one of the cooks fill it for you?" |
Sliding off Wiketh he shook his head. As a chittering gold fire lizard began to berate Wiketh. Think she knows?
She knows. An older woman stormed over towards him and snapped, "Your late!" Cringing J'lor winked at Wiketh, "I thought I was early!' "Don't you play games with me!" "Dear, your not allowed to berate a Rider like that." A calm voice called out from behind a large metal contraption "J'lor, I am glad you could make it." Sapir chuckled as he trotted towards Wiketh patting the large browns nose and grinning at his younger cousin. "However, you shouldn't be timing it so much." ((XP sorry i been outta this)) |
"Well... yeah, except for this." Feng holds up one of the bottles of wine. "I have two bottles."

"How did you... is that Benden wine?" Hamon walked closer, looking at the bottle. "You... how did you get this out? They usually keep such a close watch on this stuff, it's strong, for wine."
