As the two went ot the beach a distracted Sedna just noticed a faint whisper of something and glanced back, a moment of uncertainty flashing across her face. Looking back to the direction they flew as if deciding it was her imagination she began to fly back to the party… her face a mask. She said nothing, not even Den who was worrying fiercely…

Once she returned to the party she would walk to a window, staring outward and leaning against the wall with a glass of wine sitting full in her hand. She was thinking deeply once more… hardly something worth notice considering her habit of doing it almost always, but there was also a hint of sadness in her eyes… maybe even anger…

((well what i can remember is that the hatching is done and over with and everyone is partying lol))

((pretty much XD there's been a hatching and now everybody's partying though Sedna just got news a childhood friend died so she's all sad. ))

((And I told you about Feng and Hamon, and Selea's daughter Impressed, and is an added char. There is FINALLY a bronze-rider around, that's not npc, and is transferring to either Fort or Souther, depending on who end up with him. I think that's about it.))

Damilae had been sitting around sipping the Bubbly Benden unnoticed until a young male dragon rider asked her to dance. She accepted and set the wineskin down following the boy. She danced a few dances by the Harpers, then went back to sitting and sipping. ~I'm bored....~ --sorry, what do you want to do?-- ~I want to go play with someone....~ --I could go ask that nice boy if he would like to have his dragon play with you-- ~Oh! thank you Dami~ --Of course Xe-- She thought to Xesuth as she got up, a little wobbly, and headed over to the boy. 'Hey...' the boy said as she approached. "Hey. Are you okay with Xesuth playing with you dragon?" he nodded, 'Yeah, its fine.' Xesuth and the boy's dragon trampled off to a nearby feild and started to chase each other around, while the two made a conversation about said dragons.

Selea wandered around a bit. Her duties for the day basically overwith. She walked up to Rapturanth. --How do you fell sweetness?-- ~a warm feeling...very soft inside~ --yes, lovely isn't it-- She sipped her own wineskin and leaned on Rapturanth.

{Damilae is buzzed(drunk) and Selea is alone by Rapturanth}

Hamon smiled, pulling Fenghuang closer. "That sounds fine. Hey, our dragons might even get together one day, if Tikith is strong enough.


Sheryn walked around the festivities drinking a bit and laughing a bit, then drinking some more. She pointedly ignored the Weyrleader of High Reaches, though. He could have sent warning, at least... She frowned, then took another sip of wine. Selea had pulled out the good wine, so Sheryn was getting a pleasant buzz. She would hate herself in the morning, though....


((No, I have not fallen off the face of the earth...))

"Oh I'm sure Amaranth will hold out for him. She likes him you know. So... do you need more time or can we go again?"

Hamon glanced over. "Again?" He feigned exhaustion, giving a deep sigh. He then flipped over on top of her, kissing her again. "Sure"

((Fade to black... again.))

Sedna frowned out at the darkness inwardly suppressing tears. She couldn’t cry… especially not as she spotted Sheryn nearby. What would he think of…? She shook her head and stepped from the window, walking around the corner to hide before Sheryn saw her as she fought her conflicting feelings. Part of her wanted to run to the woman for comfort, disappear into her arms as she had many times before… but part of her hated everyone in the room right now…even sheryn. If only she hadn’t been here.. Maybe…

Pushing away the thought she downed the wine in her hand with one gulp, for a moment forgetting all but her desire to forget the pain….It was a dangerous, foolish choice… but for once Sedna was simply the young emotional girl she’d never been allowed to be…

“Pretend to be social… you people… just have to control everything….” She muttered to herself, the win loosening her tongue a little bit. Humans… it was their fault… because they had to control everything…. Frowning Sedna turned away, shivering as she put the wine on a table and pushed it away from her. Even at other hatchings she had never actually drank the wine… just sort of held it like a prop and now she was feeling funny…

Clearing her throat she pushed to gain control of herself, saying “I.. I’m sorry that was uncalled for… I received distressing news earlier… an old friend died unexpectedly…. Forgive me…” Sedna trailed off, biting her lip as she spoke, having felt a tear escape against her will…

“I can’t….” Sedna said simply and honestly, not looking at her even as she touched her arm. It was strange, for her not to react to Sheryn’s touch… but she couldn’t speak so instead she was closing herself off. She dipped her head forward, hiding behind her hair. She said nothing, not even looking at the other. What was there to say? No… Sedna… as always… had to deal with this on her own.. How could she say anything?

Theirs was a very… simple physical relationship right now but that didn’t stop the temptation to go to her for comfort. Sadly Sedna watched her walk away, her eyes slowly closing as she forced herself to look away. Glancing at the party she shuddered, unable to bring herself to go to it…socializing among the en- no… no matter what the elders said they couldn’t be that… could they?

Confused and heartbroken the woman turned, walking slowly to Sheryn’s room. She’d climb into bed slowly, curling up against the other but with her back facing Sheryn. Slowly she said in a quiet, almost timid voice “Can you just… hold me?” She nearly whimpered, closing her eyes. This.. At least this was simple…

After a while Lyna couldn't even form a sentence, she couldn't even understand what Lunair was saying to her, she lost Kith somewhere. She moved away from the booth she was at, she stumbled around until she basically tripped over R'el's foot. She fell onto the ground, starting to laugh her head off, she didn't really drink but she had just gotten into one of her sad moods and drown her sorrow with wine. She was feeling bubbly, she didn't care that others were looking down at her, that Lunair had run off to talk to some other dragons. She rollde over onto her back, looking up att he bronze rider that she had met that day. "R'hell...." was all she said before she started to laugh again, she didn't even know how much she had drank, or the fact that everything was basically swimming before her eyes. She tried to count how many glasses of wine she had, it wasn't turnning out to great, she burstted out laughing again.

R'el looked down his feet, eyes widened with surprise. Then he frowned recognising Lyna through that wild laughter.

"By the first egg-!!" he kneeled on ground and picked girl,throwing her left arm behind his neck, he supported her with a hold on her waist as she was woobling on her feet. "Please don't bother answering when I ask how many glasses you've had drunk, because obviously you're in no state of answering that one."

<Ahh.... I see you're already grabbing a girl from the festive on your first day here.> bronze dragon remarked with amusement.

<Oh shut up Zephira...>

<Wait, you're right. It's not even been a whole day yet!> dragon's body rumbled with delight, he was enjoying himself very much at the moment.

R'el rolled his eyes, helped Lyna back into the Weyr hall. She let her sit on the stairs, girl needed fresh air, but he doubted it'll be enough to sober her up.

"Alright, who's this idiot who broke your heart?" he sat next to her in a conversational manner, except, he was speaking to himself as Lyna was mumbling drunk words to herself aloud. "I see, I guess that was very unappropriate of him to run of on your wedding day." he nodded thoughtfully touching his chin. "Perhaps you need to convince Weyrleader to send a wing after him. Dragons will sniff him out eventually and he'll be brought to you, preferably with pissed pants..."

Of course, he doubted Lyna will make sense through any of these, but sincerity was counted. He trusted girl will at least remember that he had been taking care of her for a while, not even the whole speech, even if she did, it was just another source of entertainment afterwards. He was thinking about the incident at the beach though as he continued ranting, tonight had been the most interesting indeed. He was certain of two things; one, Sedna had more than one secrets she was keeping to herself, one them at least -he believed- was probably not more unusual then the very enigmatic nature of the Dragons. Two, he was hardly ever get bored from now on.

<I'm delighted that you finally found some absurd mystery to humor your brilliant mind, but I have to perhaps warn you about a very frightened and worried white dragon, and a funny, paniced firelizard. I tried my best to assure the lady rider's safety.>

(Oh my.... I almost forgot how amusing R'el was 8DDDDDDD so my rider will crash here for the night?)

~Zephira.....you sure she is going to be alright?~ Lunair said she was worried and frightened over her rider, this had never happened, she didn't know if she was going to be okay or not. Kith was flying about her head, panicking over Lyna, the way he was panicking was really rather funny. Lyna made a very rude and un-lady like noise with her mouth at everyone around her, She stood up and went to go towards Lunair, only to get her foot caught on her dress and go falling down. Once she had stopped moving, she burstted out in laughter again, tears were streaming down her face, some would think that it was happy tears but those that knew like Lunair did could tell that they were painful tears and that the laughter was just a cover up. Lyna stood up again and pushed Lunair to wards a window, making shooing motions with her hands. She walked back towareds R'el, walking drunkenly towards him, she managed not to fall down again. She mumbled and halfed laughed as she told him to come on, she grabbed his hand, trying to pull him up the stairs, after a few minutes of tugging on him, she dropped his hand. She had given up on him and started to stumble up the stairs, heading for the cliff that she knew was outside. Some people would ask what she was thinking but the thing is she wasn't thinking, she had stopped thinking about ten glasses of wine back.

((yea they are at fort if i remember i think ughh!!!! my mind just went blank TT-TT))

<I can assure you Lunair, R'el knows what he is doing.> he said, but that was before Lyna decided to make a stunt. Big bronze growled lowering it's giant head, <I'm afraid your lady might not know what she is doing though.>

"Woah woah!!" R'el caught Lyna's arm, pulling her back to keep her from walking away.

Though that happened to make her trip with sudden change on the course of her action, so R'el had to catch her to save her from the fall. He sighed loudly, there seemed to be only one way to solve this problem. He lifted girl in bridal style and walked to his great bronze.

"We have to help lady sober up. Or else she'll really end up hurting herself." as she mounted girl on Zephira he turned and smiled at Lunair. "No worries, she'll be fine. Just follow us." he sat behind the girl.

That was the only thing he could come up with. Zephira beated down the earth as he leapt into the air, once again he was flying against the night sky and once again his destination was same, the beach. R'el was holding Lyna tightly from her waist to prevent her from falling, trying something stupid like jumping down, and he had no intention of loosening his grip. Waves washed with moonlight were becoming more clear each second.

<Where do you want me to land?>

"No need to! We'll make a quick dive, toss us."

<Just to check, why are we heading to the sea and not try putting her into a battube?>

"Well, it was the 'non-flying solution'!"

<Reasonable enough...>

Zephira dived towards the beach, only a little away from the shore, he tilted towards right. R'el grabbed girl with his both arms and let himself fall into the sea. It was a sharp cooling feeling, refreshing and awaking every inch of the body. He swam surface quickly, holding girl up so she won't be drowned as she struggled free of the hold.

"RELAX!! Consider you just had a salty bath." he said to girl, then started swiming to the shore.
