"you don't have to push... I kind of like being clean... I just never really had the chance to bathe regularily... It was a little expensive." she says to the newcomer. Upon hearing the question from Sheryn she responds, "I hid it."

He whooped, bursting into the air above Fort Hold. Get me in close to the hall, I really don't want to run in to too many of those... Nope wait, there they are. He groaned, since the first time he had been to see the harper's, the girls that studied there flocked towards him. "Right." Pulling out a small role of paper, he scribbled a quick message and held out his hand, Sam landing lightly on his arm, "I need you to carry this down the the Harper." He ordered, tying the paper to the lizards leg she chirpped and took off.

On another note, this takes place what, twenty years after the stories right? or is it fifty? 'Cuz that kind of changes who i deal with at harper hall.. are any of the Cannon characters still there?))

((It's fifty years later, and Menolly is Masterharper now. Most of the other cannon characters are gone, including all the old Weyrleaders and women.))

"I don't think you have to worry too much about that," Sheryn said as they neared the bathes. "Here. I want you to take one at least every other day, but preferably more often." She held the door open, shooing both Feng and Selea in. "Now strip." She closed the door behind them, setting the spare clothes on a bench and walking over and pulling up hot water.

He sighed and patted Wikeths neck, "There she is!" He grinned and waved at Menolly. Okay. Land in the clearing big guy. With a snort and a shake of his head, Wiketh folded his wings back, plummeting like a stone towards the Harper and the gathering girls. A length above the ground, he spread his wings wide and slowed down, pulling out and landing with a loud thud and the rushing of wings. "It's good to see you Master-Harper Menolly." He saluted as he slid of the brown neck.

Feng takes her clothes off revealing a few tatoos and scars. She has a few receding bruises left from not too long ago and once fully disrobed, she jumps in to the water.

"HEY!" Sheryn shouted, having been splashed by the water. "Do I need to strip just to bathe you? The soap-sand is right there, grab a handful and scrub." She pointed to a bowl on the edge of the bath. "And where did you get the tattoos?"

"Good to see you, too, J'lor," she replied, pausing while Wiketh folded his wings. "Girls, get back to your studies." She made shooing motions with her hands, and a few of the girls split off. "Ah, my bones don't like being here anymore."

Feng grins chuckling and grabs the sand, "I went to a tatoo artist and got them." She starts scrubbing. "I haven't had a proper bath in so long. I've almost forgotten what it feels like to be clean!"

Chuckling he slapped his thigh with his gloves, "Thats the cold air up here. As much as I love you harpers, you couldn't get me to come up here during the winter for anything." He smiled and added, "Wiketh wouldn't take me anyway. Snob he is, he can't stand the cold anymore."

Its Not that I Cant stand it, its that I don't like to. The big brown snorted.

"Anyway, I figured you and a few others would like come out to the Weyr." Winking he smirked, "I can get you in Time for the hatching even."

Feng scrubs until her skin is raw, thenstarts cleaning her hair. As it get's cleaner, Gold streaks start to peak through and the rusty brown turns auburn and it hangs to her waist in a wavey mass. Her skin isn't so much the dark brown it seemed to be, but a reddish brown. She cleans her hair, rinses it, and cleans it again. "Good enough for you? The only reason i didn't bathe before is because I didn't know where i could do it, and i didn't have clean clothes to change into." Feng stands up and you can see that she may be small and thinned from lack of food, but she is also shapely. She had hidden herself nicely beneath the dirt and misfitting clothes.

Sheryn stared at Feng. "I know people who would kill for your hair..." She shook her head, reaching over to the bench and grabbing a towel. "Dry off and put those clothes on. I'm taking you to the weaver next, she'll get you clothes that fit proper." She pointed at the clothes on the bench.

"I'm not sure I'll be able to stand it much longer, either," Menolly laughed. "Let's me know when the weather's about to change, though. And poor Beauty, she's out-lived all her siblings... I would rather not go see the Hatching, though. I'll be up for way too long if we do, then nothing will be able to get me up again."

Feng dries off and gets dressed, not bothering to futz with her hair. "Well... Lead the way."

"Oh come now. Your one of the hardiest women around. I mean just look at you, you don't" he frowned and shook his head, "well okay I will give you that one." Patting Wiketh he snorted and said She's no fun anymore "Wiketh said your no fun." Grinning again he held out his arm and nodded to beauty. "Little queen." He chuckled as his sam flitted off towards the students and their fire lizards. "Come than, Master Harper. If you won't come south, I guess I shall just have to bring south to you."
