"Yeah, sorry, I came through the door. Umm..I fell in, I saw two more of my friends fall in Jade and Grim, then their is Matt, he's the one I was asking about, and Mani, Airen, Shiro, and Miyaki." She said as she looked around the room amazed. She had never seen anything so wonderful in her life, she herself always messed around with electronics and stuff, although her father had yet to allow computers in Halloweentown.

Dorian began to sigh heavily as he walked through town again. "It always sucks to be one of the few who could never find one to be with." He murmured to himself as he began to look around, the town was the same as usual, kissy faced couples staring blindly into each others eyes, people cuddling and holding each other every other second. "I need to get out of here for a bit again..." Dorian sighed as he began to run off into the distance. Shirt fluttering in the breeze as he ran out towards the city limit. Hand at his side, his rapier was still in place, as he put his hand on the hilt he dug into the ground into a faster run. "Now where were those places that connected us to other... Oh... Hello there!" Dorian yelled as he came upon a group of people sitting around. They were interesting, their outfits looked nothing like anything he had ever seen, and their bodies... It was just all so overwhelming as Dorian had a smile grow upon his face as he ran towards them faster.

Grim looked around the chocolate fields that were growing chocolate candies. He had seen some weird things but this one took the cake. He reached up and plucked a couple off of the branches and stuck them in his pocket and continued to look around.
Alex followed Grim around "You know you didn't answer my question Grimmy" This caused Grim Jr. to look up at the flitting girl. "Give me the ability to admit my feelings to the one I love there" he continued to walk around annoyed. Alex replied "hmmm I can't do that but I can give you something that can help" a card popped out of her hand and she handed it to grim who took it. "All you do is hand it to her... it's guaranteed to work... a cupid special but be warned if she doesn't like you in the same way it will feed on the negative emotions and cause her dislike for you to grow more intense" He voice sounded forboding. He looked at the card and put it under his hoodie "I'll keep that in mind" he thought on the card. It seemed to be very powerful. He would have to think very carefully before handing it to Minnie. |
Sitting still for a moment, Matrix raised an eyebrow.
"So you want Matt to fall in love with you?" he asked, leaning back and linking his hands behind his head. The elf's silver eyes lingered on her face for a moment. "What is your name, darling?" Something started beeping at that moment, but Matrix merely slapped his hand down on a panel and resumed his former position. The noise halted immediately. And then started up again a few seconds later. Soon after Matrix turned the alarm off a second time, a high-pitched girl's voice came through an intercom somewhere in the room. "Matrix! Thank you so much! I love you! I love you so, so, so, so much!" The elf rolled his silver eyes to the sky, turning the intercom on once again. "Pesky little things," he grumbled, shaking his head. Tugging on one of his long chain earrings, he looked back to Monica. "Yes. I just asked your name, didn't I?" |
"Monica Sally Skelengton, and Yes, I'm in love with him, since I first met him, but I think he likes my friend Airen." She said tugging on the loose strings on her wrist and looking down. Monica looked up when she heard the little girls voice and fought back a smile at his comment. "I thought elfs were supposed to be from Christmastown?" She asked.
|
Matrix's silver eyes widened at her name. Skelengton. He then blinked slowly and thought about what she said. Until she mentioned elves living in Christmas Town. "We do," he said bluntly. Smiling grimly, the elf shrugged, and stretched his arms over his head. "I just hate the snow. Of course I hate the hearts here, but that doesn't amount to what I was doing in Christmas Town. Toys . . . I don't want to see another toy in my entire life." Matrix shuddered, and shook his head. "Can you see me in a pointed hat with a smile on my face?"
The pale elf shuddered again, and shook his head once more. "Right. So about your friend," he sighed. "You love him, and he loves her." He raised an eyebrow. He sighed inwardly. This is common enough. Too common, if you ask me. "Have you ever given him a reason to love you?" Matrix asked, his silvery-blue hair slipping out of it's sloppy ponytail as he crossed his arms over his chest. |
"Well..no..I'm to shy to really talk to him...and when I do..he..he doesn't really show any emotions." She said looking down again. She held back the smile at the thought of this grumpy elf wearing a pointy hat smiling and tinkering with toys. She bit her lip and sighed. He was right, Airen had gotten the nerve to actually talk to him first, and he'd actually shown some interest in the conversation.
|
Matrix saw the effect of his words, and decided to play it a bit more gently. "I suggest you talk to him," the elf said, giving her a slight smile. "He might like to hear you speak. And you never know what might happen." Another shrill alarm started to go off, but he ignored it without even flinching. "He might end up liking you back."
Reaching over, he pressed a few buttons before glancing at one of the many screens that was flashing. The alarm had told him he'd recieved a message - though it was just another one of those annoying girls with a heart-filled letter to him. "I'm so sick of this," he hissed, deleting the electronic message without even looking at it. His pale eyes moved back to Monica. "Talk to Matt. Find out what he likes. Find things you have in common." Matrix tugged the leather band out of his hair and let it fall about his face. "It's easier to get along with someone if you know more about them and they know more about you." The tall elf hesitated. "You have spirit in there somewhere. Build up your courage and speak with your friend. He'd like that." |
Monica nodded and smiled. "You really think so?" She asked as she looked at the screen where the alarm came from. She wanted to go talk to him right away, but she wasn't even sure if he had came through the door yet.
|
"Sure, darling," Matrix said, shrugging and standing up. Moving toward the far wall, he dug through a mess of gadgets and other strange objects scattered about the shelves and tables. He finally must have found what he was looking for, because he came back over to Monica with a hand extended. "You give this to anyone in this town," he narrowed his pale eyes, "and I'm going to personally make sure that no one ever falls in love with you."
The small object he held out was a small necklace. The pale pink crystal shimmered in the dull lighting, and Matrix moved to stand behind Monica. Dropping the silver-laced stone in front of the stitched girl, the elf fastened it behind her. "This carries a direct link to me," he said, raising an eyebrow as he stepped back around in front of her. "This here," he pointed to a small button near the stone's top, "will let you communicate with me. Don't be startled if I speak back to you. I can do that, you know." Tapping the wiring that seemed to be attached to his neck, the tall male chuckled. "You privilaged being, you. Go talk with your friend. He's here. I'm sure he fell into St. Valentine's just like you did, little lady." Stepping toward the door, the pale elf opened it for her and motioned for her to step back out on the street. When a tiny heart fluttered into the room, he let out an exasperated grumble. "Not again." |
Monica touched the stone and smiled. She wrapped her arms around Marcus and hugged him. "Thank you." She said then stood up and walked out of the room dodging the heart that fluttered past her head and let out a laugh as Marcus exclaimed. "Marcus, You want to visit the worlds with us?" She asked turning around to face him.
|
When Monica hugged him, the youth merely stood still until she backed off. "Marcus?" he raised an eyebrow. "Matrix, doll." He shook his silver hair out of his face. "I'm rather . . . content here." He growled at the little heart that rested on top of his head. "Though come and visit before you leave. I'd love to see what you think of this disasterously frivolous town." Brushing the annoying heart away, the elf gave Monica a smile. "If you head left to the edge of town, I'm sure you'll find their trail. Let me know if you have any trouble." He motioned to the necklace that rested against her collar bone. Leaning against the doorframe, his silver eyes watched the stitched girl. He waved her off again, taking his cigarette out of his mouth in the same action.
"Come see me before you leave." |
"Right, sorry Matrix." Monica said with a wave, She followed the directions he had given her found a path back to where she came from. She looked down at the small stone that was resting on her collar bone. It was quite pretty, but she could clearly see the small wires inside it. Smiling she ran up to her friends and hugged Grim. "Glad to see you guys." She said.
|
Airen truned to see Monica gone and sighed. "Did she even read that book, it said her father was sucked in." With a huff Airen took Matts hand and opened the heartshaped door. Innerly she blushed at the feeling of their hands touching and looked at him. "Count of three?" |
"ummm... s-s-s-sure" matt said surprised she took his hand. "1-2-... you say three" he said shyly, looking at her. then he turned to look at the door, -This is not good.- he thought as he looked into the blackness.
|
Airen smiled. "Three!" As soon as the word left her lips she jumped with him down the hole, keeping a grip on his hand. "Dont let go, okay?!" She laughed out and closed her eyes as the wind rushed past her body. Then there was a nothingness and when her eyes opened she was lying in the vast thornless roses. Sitting up she giggled as she saw Matt not that far away from her and stood up, dusting herself off. "You alright there?" Airen asked as she walked over and held her hand out to help him up. "That first steps a doozy." She joked. |
Monica smiled and ran over to Airen. She hugged her and smiled. "Thank god you here." She said standing back up. She looked over at Matt and blushed. "D..did you land all right Matt? N..nothing come undone?" She asked looking him over quickly.
|
Matt looked around his eyes darting from thing to thing, he looked at Monica and Airen, Blushing heavily internally. "I-i-i-i-im Fine..." he said not really sure what to do. "Ummmm Airen any chance i can get my hand back?" he asked looking at his arm, his hand had come off in the fall. "And pretty necklace Monica." he said looking for the needle he had before, finding it lodged in his neck. "Thank you Airen for jumping with me." he said trying to keep his words to a mininmum.
|
Monica blushed when he complemented her necklace and placed a hand on it. "T.t.t.thank you. I got from Matrix, he works here with all the computers." She said looking at Matt's hand in Airens and biting her lip. "W..want some help?" She asked taking it from Airen and holding it up to his arm.
|
"I uhhhh" Matt said looking from Monica to Airen and back again several times. "I-i-i-i can do it myself." he stammered as he grabbed his hand from Monica and turned around. quickly threading the needle he started sewing his hand back on.
|
Monica sighed and looked down at her feet and bit her lip. She remembered what Matrix had said and smiled. "So, What do you guys want to check out first?" She asked looking at Matt hoping to get his opinion first.
|
((Crap what did I miss?... I took a nap til 5:30 or somewhere around there.))
|
((Not much just read the posts.))
|
Airen giggled as she noticed that she had caused his hand to unthread. "Its not problem." She said with a smile and handed over the hand. Raising an eye at Monica she pointed to the necklace. "Matrix? Thats an odd name." She mumbled to herself and then saw the look on Monica's face as she looked at Matt and innerly sigh. Oh shit...she likes him too. she thought to herself and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Well im up for wandering town..." She said quietly and started through the roses to town. This cant end well.. |
Matt finally turned around making sure that his hand worked, "Um i dont care what happens." he said not looking up, he was scared to because both of the girls were acting weird. He looked at the needle in his hand, "D-d-d-d-do you want your needle back?" he asked gingerly still not looking at them.
