((LOL. And we'll say that Matrix disappeared in the "jump," only to appear when Monica calls him again. :XD After all, he would have had to stay with Monica that whole time, and that would have been interesting. :XD))
Airen saw the way Matt ran to her and she got a weird feeling in the pit of her stomach. Jealousy? With a sigh she fought the feeling back and stood up, wobbling a bit and landing back into the clovers with a laugh. Looking around she noticed what Monica did and smiled. "Yeah, it is.."
((Nice Avi. GAH! I forgot about Matrix!))
Monica pressed the button on the necklace and waited for Matrix to appear again, having lost contact with him from the fall. |
(( No probs. ^_^ I kinda figured . . . besides, it was logical that Matrix would lose connection with them via door travel. :P))
"About time. I was beginning to worry. Did everyone live?" The elf's voice came before the hologram appeared. This time he was wiping his hands off on a rag, raising a pale eyebrow. He glanced to the others before nodding. "Good shape, I hope. Not that I could help you if I tried. I'm not actually there." Matrix's silver-blue hair fell into his eyes as some of the many layers fell out of his ponytail, and he blew them away in irritation. He glanced about at the scenery before nodding to himself and tossing the rag - which disappeared into nothingness. "Let me know if you have questions about this place. I'll let you know straight out that they are extremely superstitious and strange. That's one reason I kept my technology away from those people." Matrix gingerly found a spot to sit nearby, glancing at Matt with his silver eyes narrowed. He wouldn't say anything, but all three of the trio looked like they were about to pass out. "I missed something, didn't I?" the elf asked, tilting his head in a bird-like motion. "Did Monica do something strange?" |
"WHY DO YOU AUTOMATICALLY THINK I DID SOMETHING?!" She yelled at the elf angrily.
Matrix laughed, and shrugged. "I didn't mean it, darling." He shook his head and met her gaze with a playful expression. "Only in jest, Monica. Honest." He then bit back a smile before bursting into laughter. "I really didn't mean it, I swear!" The pale elf leaned back on his elbows, staring up at the sky. "It's not like you can hit me or anything, so what do you plan on doing about it?"
Winking at the stitched girl, Matrix fell to his back, staring up at the heavens. "Sorry 'bout that, doll." |
Monica stuck her tongue out at him and sighed. "So..where are all the people? Are they invisible or something?" She joked as she looked around and saw no one running around like in the Valentines world.
Sitting up, Matrix glanced about as well. "We probably landed a ways off from the actual town," he said, raising a hand to shield his eyes from the sun. "It's down that way." As an afterthought, he muttered something to no one in particular. "Gah, I hate green."
Airen giggled at the two, they'd make a cute couple. She thought to herself, but she would never tell Monica that.
Monica sighed and looked where he was pointing. "Ready guys?" She asked Airen and Matt.
"huh.... Sure." he said now completely in his own little world, - how could he like both.. i mean they were nice to him, but how.- he kept thinking to himself just randomly following the two girls.
Airen nodded and with a groan got up from the ground. "Yeah, lets go." She said smiling and turned to Matt who seemed a little dazed. Waving a hand infront of the boys face she giggled. "Earth to Matt?"
Monica stood and started walking..it was odd how Matrix's body seemed to follow them still laying down on his back. "Don't you get motion sickness?" She asked with a laugh.
"Nope," Matrix said, crossing one leg over his knee. Folding his arms behind his head, the elf chuckled. "Though it feels a bit strange. My mind is moving and my body isn't." Slowly getting up, the tall male began to walk with the trio. His image flickered when he brushed his shoulder against Monica's, and he smiled as he stepped off to the side of the group. He was just along for the ride - nothing more.
Matt stared at his feet walking through matrix once, before he realized it and stopped so tha matrix walked through him, "Why .. how can i." he said biting his fingers, he had a bad habit of thinking aloud.
Airen giggled as she watched his laying body float for a bit before he started walking with them. "That is odd indeed." When Matt walked through his and got confused and surprised she patted his shoulder. "Its alright."
"Mmm?" Matrix stepped through Matt with a shiver, and glanced back at him with a questioning look. "Matt, right?"
((:XD Short. Sorry!)) |
" whaa? " he said looking up at matrix, then was slightly startled by him standing there. "Uhh yeah?" he said looking at him then at the other two. "And your matrix."
Airen couldnt help but smile as she watched the two and glanced at Monica. "Well i for one want to go grab myself some luck." She said with a smirk. "Hell knows i could use some.." She mumbled and stared at the ground as she walked.
Shaking his head, the pale-haired elf smiled. "Right. Good to meet you," he said, extending a hand. He then glanced down, smiling grimly. "Ah, yes. The effect of not actually being here."
When he heard Airen mention luck, he nodded. "That's one thing that actually is true about this place," he said, glancing toward the town. "There's luck everywhere. The fields, the forests, the towns - everyone has some, everone wants some more, and they're willing to keep what they've got." The tall elf moved forward again, blinking out of sight as he stepped too far from Monica. "Blast it," he muttered, stepping backward. "I thought I fixed that. . . ." Matrix trailed off, shaking his head - which only made his layered hair slip into his face even more. Brushing it away in annoyance, the youth sighed. "Into town we go," he stated, waving his arm toward St. Patrick's Town. |
Monica laughed at Airen and nodded. "You and me both." She muttered as she watched Matrix talk to Max. She stopped so he could catch up then headed towards the town.
Airen followed the two, grabbing Matts hand so he'd stop being so slow. "Oh come on Mister dazeyhead.." She groand and pulled him along, making sure to not pull so hard that his hand came undone. "So where does one find this luck, hmm?" She asked Matrix.
"Luck," Matrix tilted his head, stepping up beside Monica to keep from leaving the range of the necklace. "Luck comes from their clovers, from no black cats being around, from their-" he stopped, glancing about. "From their gold," he finished in a whisper. The elf cleared his throat. "It comes from a lot of things. Mostly their superstitions . . . which they have quite a few of. Even I don't know of them all." The revelation seemed to have a strange effect on him, and his silver eyes lowered to the ground. "Which isn't something that happens often," Matrix mumbled, shaking his head. He blinked slowly, his usual demeanor returning. "I suggest you ask around. They might not like strangers . . . especially one's from Halloween Town. But you might get something out of it."
Matt Blsuhed when Airen grabbed his hand, "I think we all need luck that way we can figure stuff out." he said with out thinking, then shut his mouth tight when he realized what he said.
Airen listened to Matrix and nodded. "Great so we escaped Halloween town, even though it was prohibited...so that we could be hated in a different town? Splendid.." She mumbled to herself anf then looked back at Matt and raised an eyebrow. "Figure what out...? And dont say nothing cause i'll know your lying."
