Zeelith had gotten up and received breakfast in bed from Sue, and showered as Chris finished it up. Walking out of the shower she was shocked to find a simple black dress laid out for her. "Happy birthday darling!" Sue shouted as Chris ran in singing happy birthday and blowing an annoying little thong that made a honking noise. Surprised and wrapped in her towel Zeelith had forgotten her birthday all together... Looking at the cute and simple dress she felt tears well in her eyes. "Thank you so much." she whispered and pulled on the dress, it was simply black with flowing short sleeves and hugged her torso and then flowed gently to just above her knee. Pulling on her boots that went to her calves she blushed as she took a picture with Chris, who kept saying she looked pretty. Then shifting into her human form she left with her bag on her back and walked to school. She arrived on time like she usually did and then walked into class. She had a flower in her hair and was actually wearing her hair down in soft curls. She smiled seeing Kurt and then sat next to him. Smiling she grabbed her pen and binder with her good hand and opened it to a clean page. "Morning Kurt." she said happily.
|
"Good morning," Kurt managed to get out. He'd muttered something in German under his breath, trying not to stare at the woman beside him. He finally settled with reaching over to touch one of her curls. "You look lovely, Zeelith." The mutant played with the bit of hair for a moment before brushing some over her shoulder and settling down in his seat once again.
Before he could speak, class started. Despite the lesson being taught, Kurt found his eyes wandering over to Zeelith more than the professor. It was hard to pay attention that morning. With the slightest blush on his face, he managed to finally turn his gaze from his friend. They'd caught gazes once again - for the dozenth time, really - and Kurt knew that he needed to concentrate. ((Alright, how are we going to introduce the thought that Xavier is Zeelith's father? :eager: Should they be confronted? Should something happen with the other mutants that makes Xavier come down on them harder?)) |
Zeelith looked up into Kurt's eyes as he wished her a good morning and smiled widely. She then blushed brightly as he played with a curl that had been resting on her shoulder and then told her something she had never heard before. That she looked beautiful. Never in all these eighteen years she had been living had she been thought of as beautiful, maybe pretty from Sue and Chris, but never beautiful. IT was something she wasn't used to hearing. Smiling like a silly school girl she blushed and tried her best to focas as class started, but she found herself secretly meeting eyes with Kurt all morning. Luckily the class soon ended and she began packing her stuff back up. As she pulled on her bag she smiled and wlaked out of the classroom with Kurt, wanting to hold his hand. "This dress was a gift from Sue, I completely forgot it's my birthday today." she said lightly as they walked slowly threw the halls.
((oooohhh Xavier should catch them holding hands in the hall and freak out. Take them to his office and say that Kurt isn't good enough to hold her hand and whatever other bs you think he would spurt from his evil mouth ^^)) |
"Today?" Kurt's eyes widened, and his fanged smile flashed from behind his hood. "Happy birthday, Zeelith." His hand slid into hers, and he adjusted his bag on his opposite shoulder. "Is there something you usually do for your birthday?" A rather rude student rammed into them, breaking their hands apart. Kurt frowned, trying to keep himself from baring his fangs. Instead, he stubbornly slid his fingers between Zeelith's once again.
They continued walking slowly through the halls, talking about birthdays and celebrations. - The hall silenced suddenly, and Kurt felt the hair on the back of his neck rise. Growling quietly, he glanced back - and met the eyes of the headmaster. Xavier held his gaze for many moments, and then stepped forward. The tall male was a good five inches taller than the tallest of the students, so everyone noticed. A path cleared, leaving no resistance between the couple and the headmaster. "I want to speak with the both of you in my quarters." He caught a flicker of hesitation on Kurt's face. "Now." He looked ready to lash out with a backhand for being questioned, but Xavier looked surprisingly normal at the moment. Pissed off, but normal. Menace filled the air about him as the male motioned for Kurt and Zeelith to follow him. Students silently moved out of their way and hurried to their classes. - Kurt gave Zeelith's hand a squeeze, not liking the thought of being alone with Xavier. Unfortunately, the walk to the office was all too short. When they entered, Xavier's grip pulled Kurt away from Zeelith viciously. The door practically slammed behind them. "You will not touch her." Darkness seeped into the room, and the headmaster subtly changed: he was more mutant-like now. "If I ever catch your hand on her again, I'll be sure to tear it off." Kurt blinked in surprise. Where was this coming from. He wasn't thinking when he shook his head and reached for Zeelith in defiance. "Why?" He jerked his hand away as though stung, fire spreading through his fingers. "You aren't good enough to be near her, boy." Xavier lifted one hand, pushing Kurt away from Zeelith with an unseen force. The youth stumbled, catching himself on the corner of the wooden desk. "You have no right to even look in her direction, mongrel." Kurt flinched as he heard the word, his thoughts flashing back to before he'd come to the academy. Life had been hell then. "A demon-spawn like you shouldn't be anywhere close to her. I should have reconsidered bringing you here." Another wave of unseen force slammed against Kurt, driving him to the ground with crushing force. He grunted with pain as the floor rushed up to meet him. When his eyes opened, he was on his back. Nothing was there, but a force kept him pinned to the ground. "You will NEVER touch her again." The order was followed by another slam of energy, and this time Kurt cried out as he felt something in his chest snap. |
Zeelith enjoyed the serene walk as she held kurt's hand, after being rudely inturrpted by a student that practically ran past her. Shaking her head she looked at Kurt with care and they began to converse about birthdays andpast expierences with them. It was one of the best and most light hearted conversations she had ever had with someone, and it was most precious since it was with Kurt.
Suddenly shivering as she felt a chill run threw the hall Zeelith gravitated closer to Kurt as they walked, but suddenly the student flow lessoned drastically. Hearing that icey bone chilling voice her eyes widened in worry and her hand clutched Kut's tighter as they turned to face the head master. This wasn't good, had he found out about her not killing that girl like she was supposed to? When they entered the office of the headmaster Zeelith nearly jumped as she heard the door slam. Holding onto Kurt's hand tightly she was shocked at what Xavier said next, and he had no right to say it. Kurt's hand was knocked from her's and he was ordered to never touch her again. COmpletely confused and reaching out to Kurt again she gasped in shock as he was hit with some invisable force. The violence never ceased and when Kurt was thrown to the floor she began screaming for him to stop, scared out of her mind as she heard a crack from Kurt's body. "KURT!" she screamed worried and ran to his side falling her her knees. She tried to touch him but the invisible barrier didn't allow it. Growling in anger she stood and charged at the head master, making a swift swipe at him with her massive clawed hand, her face burning with passionate anger. "You have no right to order him to stay away from me! You're not in control of my life! You're not my father!" she screamed angerily as her tattoos rushed to her other hand to form a sheild as she struck out, knowing she would need the sheild to protect herself from his blow that was sure to come. She was so angry that tears had started to mist her eyes, and she was out for blood. |
"Girl, you don't even know your parents."
Xavier merely phased through the slash that Zeelith threw at him, his second hand moving to catch her wrist as she began to form a shield. His voice calmed, and his expression softened for a moment before he shoved her back. Pointing to Kurt, he lifted his head. "He isn't pure-blooded. If you think your son needs to be protected, you would be appalled to see what that dog's blood would do for your lineage." It was true: by adding in a partial-blooded mutant into a pure-blooded line there was more danger. Those ones always seemed to struggle with their powers more than pure bloods. The tall headmaster looked to Kurt for a moment, then back to Zeelith. "I am helping you more than you know." His red eyes suddenly softened, and he extended a clawed hand toward the girl as though offering peace. "Let me show you something." Kurt drew a few shallow breaths, trying not to suck in too much air. It hurt to do so. What hurt worse was knowing that Zeelith was hurting. Trying to calm his mind of all the chaos ripping through him, Kurt tried to reach out to the girl when she tried to help him. He was unable to touch her - and then she attacked Zavier. Watching, breathless, Kurt fought the darkness that tugged at the corners of his vision. Not now! He tried to reach out to the darkness that usually allowed him to teleport, but it was useless. Something was blocking his powers thoroughly. "Listen to me, Zeelith. Let me show you." The dark-haired headmaster kept his crimson gaze on the woman, knowing that she would be curious. He was nearly certain her curiosity would be her main drive. She would take his hand, he was nearly certain. |
Zeelith growled as she was yanked into Xavier's grasp, her anger dying suddenly as she saw a softness in his gaze that hse thought was impossible to happen. SHocked at how different he was acting she was fighting her curiousity on why he would offer her peace after being hostile to eachother for so long. She also wanted to know why he knew about her being a pure-blood mutant, even she didn't know that. "How do you know I'm pure-blood?" she asked slowly, curiousity underlying the caution in her voice. Watching his clawed hand reach out in a peaceful offering she had the erge to take his hand to know what on Earth he was talking about. He was talking in a riddle she didn't understand, and her curiousity about the misty secrets around her coming into this word was lulling her towards him. Unable to fight the want to understand and know what he was talking about she slowly let her arm shift back to normal from the sheild and she slowly laid it into his hand. "Show me... But if you trick me, I will make you regret ever touching me." she growled, showing that she was still not completely trusting of the head master.
|
Xavier said nothing. He merely kept his hand offered until Zeelith took it. He made no aggressive movement; he didn't make any moves at all. He let the woman rest her hand in his, but didn't close his fingers about hers. Instead, he let it seem like every moment of contact was her choice, not his demand. The instant their fingers touched, something sparked and came to life. It was chaotic, at first.
Cold. Too cold. Ice. Snow. Woman. The feel of a dainty figure pressed against his chest as he shielded her from the storm. Shivering. Frost. White. It got worse then, flashing through scenes of terror, fear and rage. Xavier's expression remained impassive, but his emotion was overwhelming through their touch. The headmaster was a young mutant then - or, younger than he was now. Xavier had kept the woman safe from most of the storm only to have her torn away from him by another mutant. Crimson. Sudden warmth. Gone. Flashes of blood-splattered snow filled Zeelith's mind's eye. Xavier's expression in the vision was full of horror as he realized the woman he'd been protecting was the source of the blood. The vision flickered as Xavier's anger intervened. Power streaked out from the kneeling form, razing through the snows and storm. He never caught the killer. Death. Pain. Loneliness. Xavier's rage and agony echoed through the mental link, though in reality he stayed still. The only movement came from the intangible breeze that seemed to tousle his hair and the shadows that clawed at his tall form. "She was your mother," he said quietly, his gaze still on Zeelith's face. Just as questions brimmed in her mind again, Xavier's voice entered her head. You have her eyes, Zeelith. The next vision was connected to the first. The snow was bloodied, but the sound of an infant's cry broke the pain that shrouded Xavier. He had fallen to his knees beside the still woman, but he clutched a child to his chest. Infant. White skin; markings. One clawed hand, just like his. Eyes of an angel - eyes of her mother. "I know you're a pure blood because I'm the one who fathered you." |
Zeelith was shocked as she was thrown into the memory, her body giving a shiver as she watched the younger Xavier holding a beautiful woman. She was very pale and her eyed where pure white like her own, with just a hint of lavender her stomach was large, and she was shivering against the headmaster's body. She was pregnant. Black tattoos shaped her beautiful face and dissappeared under her clothing and as the memory went on she nearly pulled her hand away.
Feeling Xavier's feeling she felt fear and anger as the woman was ripped from his arms and wounded badly. It was then that the memory flickered and She gasped softly seeing her laying deadin the snow. Her body went stock still as she saw what Xavier was holding in his arms, his feelings of love and adoration as well as heartbreak was finally too overwhelming. Pulling her hand away to break the trance Zeelith stumbled backwords into the desk, her head spinning. Anger, betrayal, and hurt. She couldn't believe what she had just seen, but it was all too real to deny. shaking she looked at him in anger as tears ran down her cheeks. "Why now?" she demanded anger and pain in her sharp tone. "If I was so special and loved why didn't you raise me?!" she demanded and shuddered thinking of her 'father' when she was two. He had raised her, but beat and abused her contantly, always saying that she was a spawn of a bastard. Now she understood. "He beat me, and yet you didn't come save me... I grew up on the streets!!! What kind of father are you?!" she demanded angrily. She felt so betrayed. |
"A man who can't keep hold of anything that matters," Xavier watched Zeelith's tears impassively, "destroys everything he touches." The headmaster blinked slowly, turning his face away just slightly at the girl's accusations. "I couldn't keep you. You would have died by my hand."
There was a moment when flashes of blood and rage filled Xavier's mind. He'd gone on a rampage after that. He'd been changed forever - more thoroughly than anyone knew. How could he have cared for a child while killing everything around him? "Your life was entrusted to an elderly couple. They cared for you." He frowned a bit; the first show of emotion save anger. "I was unaware that you'd been given to someone else." The headmaster slowly released Kurt from the barrier, looking down at him without emotion. "This wouldn't have been brought to your attention without his help. I was content with you never knowing." |
Zeelith's mind was spinning and she clutched her head as her legs gave out and she fell to her knees. "Why?..." she choked as she sobbed, her body shaking as she stared at the floor. She didn't understand how he couldn't have taken care if her, he was her father, that's what they were supposed to do. "You still could have been there!" she snarled and shook. "You could have saved me from being raped!" she screamed and then covered her mouth. She remembered the pain, the fear she had felt... She had been left for dead.... And when she had finally gotten herself nourishment and food and back on her feet she found she was pregnant.... Too young for anyone to care... The sickness she had felt, being so alone, so afraid... "Even when you had those two ring me to you a few days after Chris was born... The first time we met... Why couldn't you have said something?" she whimpered, her world spinning in confusing circles. Seeing Kurt's being released she crawled over to him and reached out with shakey hands her tears still falling. "I'm so sorry..." she breathed and then her tattoos shifted over her body to the form of the nurse. Using her energy and the powers of the nurse she healed Kurt's cracked rib but when she finished she lost complete control and completely crumpled on the ground, her vision slowly fading. "I wanted Chris to have a family..." she barely uttered before passing out. The mental and physical strain had been too much on her. Her black tears left small trails on her cheeks as she fell unconscious, making her look like she would eternally weep in her sleep.
|
Kurt's shallow breathing steadied out, and he roused from his unconscious state. Blinking, he found Zeelith beside him. As he realized where they were, he sat up suddenly, baring his fangs at Xavier and putting himself between the two of them. "What did you do?" he asked, eyes flashing with protective anger.
The headmaster inclined his head, watching the girl with no emotion on his face. "I showed her what I can recall of her past." He waved his hand as though dismissing the thought. "She will be weak. Take care of her. When she is awake, come to me." Kurt frowned, not liking that thought. Instead of protesting, he nodded once. He wouldn't speak any more than he had to with this creature. "Take her to her room. She needs rest." With that, Xavier turned his back and trailed a hand over his desk. He ignored their presence. Kurt immediately wrapped an arm about Zeelith, teleporting the both of them to Sue's home. When he got there, he cradled her to his chest, worried that she was hurt. Instead of calling for anyone in the house, he sat there in silence and held Zeelith close, wishing he hadn't heard everything that had happened in the office. |
Zeelith awoke about fifteen minutes from when Kurt teleported them to her room in Sue's house. Shocked at where she was she looked up at Kurt with releaf and wrapped her arms around him tightly and burries her face against his shoulder. "Are you okay?" she breathed softly against his warm flesh as she clung to him for life it seemed. She could hear the faint sound of the tv on and she knew Chris and Sue were watching his morning show. Their obliviousness to her horrible experience at school comforted her. She didn't want Chris to know about this. She then took in a steadying breath and looked up at Kurt. "Please tell me it was all a dream.." she whispered nearly begging.
|
"I'm fine," Kurt whispered, rubbing his cheek against Zeelith's hair. "I wish it was a dream." The mutant stroked the back of Zeelith's hair, holding her close for many moments before pulling away enough to see her eyes. "Did he hurt you?"
((OH, gosh. I'm so brain dead right now! I'm sorry!)) |
((that's okay))
Zeelith closed her eyes and then sighed heavily. "I'm happy you're okay now.... I'm so sorry for what happened." she apologized softly and then looked up into his eyes. "He didn't hurt me..." she breathed and then shuddered. "I can't believe it... I always dreamed my father would be some great guy... Always searching for me to bring me home... Not one that hurts people... And gives his daughter away..." she whispered, tears welling in her eyes again. "I'm so angry and confused...." she breathed and then looked up to Kurt. "Did he say anything to you after I passed out?" she asked, her hands trembling with fatigue. |
Kurt hesitated, but chose to tell the girl what he'd been told. "He wants me to bring you back when you're feeling better." The youth wrinkled his nose in disgust. "I'm not sure if I should." His gaze flickered over her tears. His warm fingers wiped the wet emotion away, and he kissed her nose lightly. "I'm sorry about your past, Zeelith."
((:XD Yup. Time to get some sleep so I can replenish my thoughts.)) |
Zeelith looked at Kurt in shock hearing what her supposed father had told him. Shivering she nodded and closed her eyes trying to make sure she wouldn't freak out again. She nodded and looked up at him again, enjoying his gentle touch on her cheeks. Feeling his kiss she blushed and smiled slowly. "There's nothing we can do about it anyway... So don't be..." she whispered and then bit her lip. "I don't want to go back.... But I'm scared if we don't he'll come here... And I don't want Chris knowing about him at all..." she said worried as she held onto Kurt and looked into his face hoping for an answer.
|
She was scared. Kurt took in her fear with an expression of determination and stubborn anger. "Chris and Sue can't be hurt," he agreed, and met her gaze as she searched his face. She was looking for answers - but he couldn't give them to her. "We go to him, then. See what he wants, come home after, yes?" Kurt was trying to think through their options, but they really didn't have any. The headmaster knew where they were, or where they would go to escape him. It was a wonder that the man didn't know everything. Sometimes it felt like he did.
|
Looking at Kurt Zeelith nodded and then sighed. "Let's go there then... I don't want to get thesetwo in trouble." she said and then running a hand threw her hair. "Can you teleport us back?" she asked and then sighed looking at him. Realizing she was till in his arms she blushed and her heart fluttered. "Are your arms getting tired?" she asked sheepishly, she didn't want to e let go but she didn't want to be a burden to him.
|
"Tired?" Kurt laughed. "My arms could hold you forever, if you'd let them." The mutant quieted, and then drew Zeelith closer. "I'll take you to him." There was another sensation of falling through the air before the office began to materialize. "I love you."
Xavier was sitting at his desk, fingers crossed before him as he watched them appear. It was like he knew they were coming. "I suspected that you wouldn't return." His red eyes filled with amusement. "I commend you for doing as I asked. I don't enjoy using force every time I give an order." The headmaster focused on Zeelith then, his features turning to stone. "I will never be able to change the past." There was a moment of silence before he seemed to decide on what to say. "But I may be able to alter your future." |
(I realize I'm skipping first period with Kyreian's post but I figured it would work out okay anyway XD Plus, that way Eric and Kainmin would be in their first class together too............)
Kyreian watched the class as they did their own stretches before the bell rang to start the class. Unlike usual, she had a very nasty scowl on her face that showed she....is not in a very good mood. It was unfortunate for the kids that it was the first day of class that she was grumpy. They did not realize that as the gym teacher, she was already rather, militant, about it. Now, with a mood setting in, she was going to be an absolute harpy. There was a lot on her mind, not the least of which was the plan that she and the others had come upon the night prior. It's was entirely too risky and Dante was too involved in it. Xavier was going to catch them and they would be dead. Shaking the ill thoughts from her head, she watched now with an evil grin on her face. She had just remembered why she was teaching the PE class in the first place. And the start of a new term was always the best. Always. Kainmin growled as a girl attempted to approach her, causing the young lady to veer away from greeting the new kid. Now feeling much better about the beginning of her second class, though it was one of her least favorite classes, she took a seat in the farthest corner from the door, next to the window, all the way in the back of the class. There were a few empty seats there, and it allowed her a bit of privacy. She could only imagine how long it would take for someone to actually take one of those unoccupied chairs. Her pale eyes stared out the window while she waited for the bell, suddenly feeling a little lost. A normal feeling but one she never got used too. And last night only made that feeling worse. Sarn wasn't really feeling this first day. His stomach was in knots at the idea of things that will be happening...Got to pretend like everything's normal. He shook his silver hair at the thought. Yeah, right. He continued down the hallway, completely passing his class that should begin any minute. He just couldn't go in yet and sit through another class. He wasn't learning anything because he wasn't paying attention. His mind just wasn't on it. He hadn't seem Emma since last night because he was afraid to tell her what was going to happen. Remy and the two Elites had suggested against him telling her. It could make everyone's position precarious because she was no doubt being watched. Sarn uncharacteristically bit his lower lip. He had avoided seeing her at all so that he wouldn't tell. He was sure that when he did see her again, he would likely find a private place and blurt it out. Signing, Sarn pivoted on a heel to go back to his class. Unfortunately, he forgot that other people where around and he ended up whirling into a soft body. His balance being better then usual, he didn't fall but an arm snaked out and caught the girl around the waist to keep her from falling. He grimaced a little realizing it was Emma he had just run into. He righted it and tried to smile a little. "Sorry. Wasn't paying attention to what I was doing." (Hope that works!) |
Blushing at KurtMs loving comment she held Ito him and kissed him gently on the lips. "I love you too." she whispered and they teleported as she did. Looking at her father she frowned and stood slowly as she met his eyes with fearlessness. "And how do you think to do that? You've clearly stated that you can't take care of anything." she stated coldly and her eyes narrowed a bit in suspicion. If he even brought up her son again in a time like this where she was very unstable she would try to kill him.
|
"Wow," Emma caught her breath and clung to Sarn's shirt, startled. When she was finally on her own to feet, the blonde shook her head. "Did you find Remy?" she asked quietly, glancing about to see if anyone was listening in. Her eyes locked on Sarn momentarily . . . but someone else caught her eye.
Dante stepped past a few students and rested a hand on Emma's shoulder. His bright smile didn't quite meet his eyes as he bid them both a good morning. "Can I talk with you for a moment, Emma? You are good with math, right?" He sent a glance to Sarn that showed his relief . . . and then led the girl toward her next class. Emma looked over her shoulder with a bit of disappointment on her face. "I'll see you soon?" she called, wishing Dante hadn't interrupted them. - "You look like you went through hell." Eric took a seat near Kainmin, glancing to the teacher to acknowledge that he'd been seen. His gray eyes filled with worry as he looked his friend over. "Are you feeling alright?" The blond hesitantly reached out to touch her arm, wondering what was wrong. Was the previous night still bothering her? If so, were there lingering affects from her transformation? ((:XD I apologize for the general shortness, everyone.)) - "I stated, as you so eloquently put," Xavier's eyes narrowed dangerously, "that I destroy everything I touch. I don't have to touch you to alter your life." His voice dropped to a low growl, and he stood. "I realize that your home is currently . . . in poor condition." He knew. He'd been there when the destruction took place. "If you would like to challenge me, then do so openly. I am not here to mince words with a child." He waved his hand, and shadows shifted about him as though responding to his anger. "I am going to offer you aid, not harm." Xavier closed the distance between them in the blink of an eye, his clawed hand already up to grasp Zeelith's chin. "I know you want your son safe. I am telling you now that your life could be worse." His grip loosened, and he let his frown disappear. "I want to help you." |
Zeelith clutched her hands into fists as Xavier talked, she wasn't sure how long she could hold herself still as her anger still lied under the serface waiting to explode. Hearing that the headmaster knew about her home being destroyed she nearly growled. Of course he knew. He knew everything. Suddenly in the blink of an eye Zeelith found her chin lifted and looking straight up into his eyes, making her feel like she was a child being scolded. As he pulled away she sighed heavily and put her hands on her hips. "How would you aid me?" she asked slowly and with caution. She needed to fix the apartment fast and any help that would be offered would be wonderful, even if she had to get it from a snake.
|
Sarn was going to answer but that was when Dante decided to show. Typical, he thought. He nodded to Dante then hollered after them, "You bet!" At least, he certainly hoped they would. It was good to see her again, even though he had been avoiding her on purpose...Sarn grimaces before arriving in his class just as the bell rang. He took a seat and just watched the teacher, pretending he was listening. Which, of course, he wasn't.
Kainmin couldn't help it, she glared at Eric. "Thanks ever so much for the compliment." Her eyes turned back to the window just as she almost jumped right out her skin. She wasn't expecting the touch. She slide her arm away from the contact, pulling it under the desk to rest on her lap. She looked at him again, another retort ready on her tongue, but it died away. She frowned, not actually sure how to respond. She wasn't used to communications like this, or any kind really. She felt confused. Her mouth open and closed several times before she finally shook her head, her long hair swaying with the effort. "I don't know." That was all she managed. Though she doubted he would get it, she was saying I don't know how to respond. (It's okay Esmme. Mine are a bit short too >.<) |
