Nila was so happy, but she didnt want to show it through her expressions. Her ears perked up at what the headmaster had said only because it was faster thaan she had expected. As she started towards the door, her name was said loud and clear to her. A sudden chill went down her spine from him calling out her name. She turned to face him only for him to say that she was to remember why she was to be transferred. "I will Professor. Thank you so much again." With that, she walked out of the room and went towards her next class. In doing so, she went to the courtyard and found the two that had been there when she had left.

Without meaning to, she hid from Eric and Kainmin behind a bush. It was as if her shyness had taken affect once more. What would they think if she came out and had cat ears. It was like her fear of humans was getting the best of her once again. Quickly she took a deep breath. As she did so, she could hear Xavier's voice in her head, repeating what he had said.

"Dont forget what your doing in return for your placement"

Nilla walked out from the bush, scrounging up a smile from the bottom of her subconscious. "Hi.... Sorry to interrupt you guys, but I'm new to the school. My name is Nilla." She didnt know the kids, but it would be nice to have friends finally. Friends would probably make life so much more fun and not as scary as she usually feels it would.

((hey, guys! I am new to this thread and to be honest I did not read every single post but I read a lot to make sure I knew what might be going on with my character later. Having said this, I am going to start off as a new student to allow myself to plead ignorance to whatever action is going on right now. Excited to get started so here goes!))

With a slight tug, Cat pulled the strap of her bag further onto her shoulder as she stared up at the place she had been told was a school. She had never seen a school quite like this before, it seemed to fansy for her. With the old green blouse she was wearing and the tattered blue jeans with stains that she could not recall at the moment, she felt like she would not even make it through the front doors. Despite this fear, she mustered up all the courage her body would allow her and she marched through the front doors and made her way safely to the office, only passing a few students who didn't give her much notice at all. Once inside the office she recieved her class schedule as well as her room assignment. After a little time of searching halls and asking a couple of older looking people for directions, she found her new room and quickly unpacked all she had in her little bag she had carried all the way here.
Once done with her task, she gave a little nod of acceptance to the place she would now be calling home. Not after too long, she began to grow a bit restless and she decided that the best thing for her right now would not to close herself off in her room but to go out and explore this new, unfamilair place. She just hoped she wouldn't get in some sort of trouble for roaming the halls, but as long as she didn't catch anything on fire, she would probably be okay.
All around her were students, all seemed to be involved with one thing or another. Even though she was eager to meet new people she was not entire sure she was ready to get involved with anything, not that she would even be able to because of how shy she was around new people. It was always hard for her to come up with things to talk about, she liked listening to people far better than talking about herself or her interests. Most of the time when she was little, she would stand off to the side and watched as the other kids played with each other. Once people discovered how fun she was to have around she would never be lonely, but that would only happen when someone approached her first. Some thought it was because she was snobby, but she just didn't feel like bothering people.

Marsyas 12-28-2011 06:05 AM

"Consider it done," he answered with a crooked grin. I'll get right to it since I have the period off. Listening to the girl as she explained the rest of the situation to him and decided that they should meet after all their classes were over Quiese gave her a single nod, "Sounds good to me. See you after class Emma." Standing up the male heaved his backpack over his shoulders and started off to locate Dante. Since he had to touch that demon then, he might as well find him first then look for Kyrelian. Normally they weren't too far apart which should make things simple enough.

---

Tyrod was surprised to see that Dante withstood his first attack so well, only being force back a few feet. It was impressive but thinking about it, he knew he shouldn't have been that surprised. After all, the silver-maned rogue was the oldest of the Elite. "Well done, demon," he complimented while goading the man. Let's see how well you handle this. In rapid succession Tyrod forced his hands forward as he attempted to throw the male again and then once more after the first two piece. Then with his arms outstretched he slapped his hands together to bring gravity's force colliding against his former brother from both directions at once. He quickly followed that up with a downward jerking motion to bring his power crashing down on top of him.

TheNewCSLewis 01-02-2012 07:16 PM

Through all the chattering and noises coming from the other students, Cat could hear something that didn't seem quite right to her. There seemed to be something that sounded like fighting coming from the other side of the building. She wasn't surprised that none of the other students couldn't hear it, transforming into an actual cat so many times has left her with her senses heightened more than they were before she received that power. Maybe it was actually part of the power that she had absorbed, but she could never be entirely sure. Never once had she tried to talk to the people she took her powers from, to her they were her enemies. That didn't mean that she hated her gifts or the things she could do with them but she missed her old life sometimes, she would still have it if she never met those people.
Almost instinctively, Cat followed the noise through the school. Some students looked at her like she was crazy as she kept her ear pointed in the direction of where the noise was coming from. Then as she past what looked like a gym she found the source of the noise. A gasp escaped her as she saw a guy, whom she assumed to be another student, used his power to attack the other one. She moved to the side of the building so she wouldn't be out in the open but she didn't feel like running away. This was the first time she had seen another mutant use their powers before and it partly fascinated her and terrified her at the same time. Who were these guys and why were they fighting? Obviously this isn't just some friendly practice but she didn't think that they were necessarily trying to kill one another. Instead of moving or saying a word she stared at them and tried to figure out what exactly their powers were though she felt different forces coming from them like it did from all mutants, maybe one day she would be able to interpret that into understanding others abilities.

((I hope that works...I wasn't sure what to say exactly but once I get going I'll be good.))

Kurt shrugged one shoulder, glancing in at Chris as he "danced" around his new room. "You're welcome, Zeelith." With a chuckle, he leaned over and pressed a kiss to the woman's pale cheek. By the time they reached the master bedroom, the blue-skinned male sighed. "I can start bringing your things here, yes? It will make it easy to transport things without a car." He took in the joy he saw on Zeelith's face as she saw her son. This was true happiness. Was it truly that easy to obtain?

Looking at this family, Kurt thought it could be. Peace came from this. He wanted to be a part of this forever.

When Nilla appeared, Eric stood suddenly. How long had the girl been there? What had she heard? He was about to react in a defensive manner, but the empath felt nothing but a worried sense of dread. She was . . . scared?
"Nilla," the blond narrowed his eyes and straightened. Slowly extending his hand, he kept his gaze on the newcomer. "I'm Eric. This is my friend." He didn't give Kain's name, but that was up to her. "What are you doing out here? Don't you have class?"

-

There was movement out of the corner of his vision. Dante glanced to the girl in the doorway of their gym area, realizing that their fight was being witnessed. That was when Tyrod prodded him with a taunt he couldn't ignore.
"I am no demon!" Dante snarled, his fangs extended. He managed to "deflect" the first three bursts of energy, growling and feeling anger well within him. Tyrod must have spoken with Xavier. Xavier must know. Dante's red eyes met Tyrod's momentarily . . . and then gravity seemed to come at him from every side. It was suffocating.
He looked trapped. Dante let out a cry of anger, struggling against the energy. Fires seemed to eat away at the force around him, and the male grew darker in appearance. Looking more and more inhuman, the only thought that fueled him was his next attack. He would get to Tyrod, no matter what was happening.

The force of a planet seemed to crash down on his shoulders. The ground seemed to meet him halfway. Dante fell to the floor under the attack, but he was stubborn. He lifted himself to his hands and knees, his blade seeming to vibrate with glowing energy. That was when he snarled. "You were never worth saving!" he hissed, bringing the weapon upward in a slash.
His attack flowed from that blade. The energy of the arc flashed toward Tyrod like a blade of its own, and Dante followed up with incredible speed. The male was a few feet from Tyrod within the moment, blade moving through a few slashes in an effort to gut the other Elite.

When the blade didn't work, Dante reached forward with a clawed hand and grasped Tyrod's shirt. Lifting him, he bore his fangs and moved as though to skewer the other with his blade. As much as he denied being a demon, Dante looked and felt the part as he saw only the blood of his "brother" in his mind's eye.

It seemed that they had a witness to this conflict, and his brother seemed to notice her at the same time. Well, at the moment there was nothing to be done about it. He'd have to dispose of the trash first then deal with any loose ends if it came to that.
He couldn't contain a short snicker when Dante snarled in denial like the beast that he was. It was so. . . ironic. Still the demon seemed to endure his blows as he built up power of his own and after being forced to the ground like that, Dante seemed even angrier than before. The words he spoke seemed to strike a cord in Tyrod as his mellow attitude shifted towards a more serious nature. "Since when were you GOD!"

He sidestepped the slash with ease as his rage began to build. Looking down at his wrists for a moment deciding it was time, he was about to reach down and snap off the cross-shaped charms, but he noticed the demon closing in on him at an inhuman speed. Tyrod managed to evade most of the sword attacks, getting nipped on several occasions before he was violently snatched up at the collar.

Smirking, he looked down at the monster before him in all its dark splendor, "You claim that you're no demon but your form speaks differently." Then cracking his neck and seemingly relaxing his shoulders while still in the man's grip he whispered, "Tell me Dante, what determines a person's worth?" Then looking up to the sky he shook his head, "Nevermind." He wouldn't understand the question.

Reaching to his left wrist he snapped off the charm and a gravitational surge came crashing down around him. Then as he snapped off the right, it intensified twice over. "Since we're getting serious, I suppose I can show you my true power." His eyes narrowed and then began to slowly turn to a black darker than any midnight sky. It was almost as if looking into the void that was death itself.

Free of his prey's grasp, he looked down at the male and whispered "boom" and what followed was a thunderous force generated from his lips. Bending down on his right knee and resting his weight on that elbow, he looked at the demon with his own demonic eyes, "You never understood me, nor did you try. None of you did." And somehow even with his eyes in their current state, he managed to look. . . alone. Bringing his left hand up, he touched the fist to Dante's forehead, then flicked with a charging elephant's force behind it. He stood up and waited on his brother to charge. All animals were predictable when their backs were against the ropes, a demon was no different.

Placing his hands into his pockets he set up a wall of gravity that extended five feet in all directions. This ought to be interesting. The point of the wall was to slow down anything that got within range, not to keep things out. Dante's speed and power would be significantly reduced inside of it shifting things back to Tyrod's advantage.

Esmme 01-06-2012 07:23 AM

((:squee: FIGHT!! I love fights. . . . The problem is always keeping things realistic-ish, and not letting either character win/lose too easily.))

"Xavier brought your worthless hide here!" Dante still had Tyrod in his grasp at that time. "I will never claim to be God. It is Xavier who stands on such unsteady footing." A single drop of blood fell from his blade's edge. He'd hit Tyrod, though the cuts weren't deep.

As they regarded one another in that mere second before Dante tried to skewer the Elite, he saw something in his brother's eyes. That cocky smile of relaxed ease set his mind on edge. For the first time Dante found that he wasn't quite sure how much power Xavier had . . . unlocked . . . within this boy. Despite his consideration of power, it was the words from Tyrod's lips that stunned him more than any of the blows he'd received.
"Tell me Dante, what determines a person's worth?"

Through the darkness that flit through and around him, the fanged creature seemed to hesitate. What indeed? That moment was all that Tyrod needed. Gravity suddenly caved in their immediate space, bringing Dante to the ground once again. He hissed through clenched teeth, glaring up at the Elite above him. "If your true self is any stronger than this, it will be a welcome challenge," Dante spat, his red eyes glowing with both power and rage.
Their gazes met, and if he hadn't been forced down Dante might have attempted to rip the man's throat out with his teeth. "Why understand someone who flirts with evil?" Despite the moment, he didn't miss the sense of solitude in Tyrod's black eyes. Dante's snarl grew louder as he felt the mutant's fist against his head. He didn't expect the impact of Tyrod's abilities to feel so . . . strong.

His sight exploded into sparks of color, and by the time he could feel the ground again, Dante knew he'd damaged the wooden floor. As expected, the male got back to his feet. Lifting his blade, the silver-haired creature yanked a splintered piece of wood from his side. "Impressive," he slurred, his fangs hindering his speech. Now that the scent of blood was in the air, he seemed . . . invigorated. "You're strong. I'd thought you'd gone soft."
Grip on his blade tightening, Dante (predictably) charged toward his enemy. He met the gravitational field with resistance of his own, though he was still slowed. Instead of breakneck speed and power, Dante felt as though he was fighting through a globe of water. Fighting through the "globe" about Tyrod, he got close . . . but not close enough. In a push of stubborn will the creature's horned head managed to ram into Tyrod's face, but his blade never got close. The blow wasn't as brutal as he'd originally intended.

Fire burned about Dante's darkened form, combating Tyrod's abilities. It didn't help much, but it kept him from feeling the full effects of the Elite's power. After all that had happened, his head was still spinning . . . but that didn't stop him from attacking anyway. It was rage that kept him fueled; he was too stubborn to give up so easily. He would either win, or die. There was no "stopping" this fight.

((:boogie: Huzzah for stubborn people! So different from my true personality. . . .))

Marsyas 01-06-2012 09:04 AM

(Then we're on the same page, no? :ninja: LOL)

As he waited on the charge to come, Tyrod eyed down Dante as he called out, "You don't know Xavier as well as you think. It would take a kindred spirit to understand what's really going on in that head." Dante didn't listen. Ty had played the roll of the dark child for so long that he would never be able to convince anyone other than maybe Jin that this was all for a singular purpose. He couldn't lose here, not yet. He needed more power and he still had an objective to complete.

After watching the demon fly backwards from the force of his 'thump', the brown haired male stared at the cornered beast. Then as suspected, the charge came. The poised gravity mutant stood his ground stoically to see how his opponent would react when reaching the gravity field. The effects were as suspected, but what he didn't predict was the determination that earned him a headbutt and forced his hands out of their solitary confinement.
He had actually intended to leave them there, but despite how much he hated to admit it, he realized that he may have underestimated Dante's strength. The headbutt had cut him open over his left eyebrow and leaked down over his eye. He had to close it, leaving blind on that side for the time being.

He continued to weave the slow predictable swings of Dante's blade and immediately started dealing out 'impact punches' as he fought back. The idea behind this was to counter with the force of a full speed freight train while he wasted energy swinging with that sword of his. The punches were meant for internal damage, not external, so the effects were more devastating in the long run. "Keep this up and you'll die within the next few minutes demon," he spat venomously. There was a fierceness about his countering onslaught. He intended to kill Dante, right here and now if he continued to fight at this close range.

On top of that his vision was halved, and he could only feel the swing that came at him from his left, and if his concentration wavered for a split second and the gravity field disappeared, he could very well end up with a debilitating injury or worse. So he would either force the older mutant back or kill him before he made a mistake.

Esmme 01-06-2012 06:05 PM

The scent of blood drew Dante's gaze to his opponent's face. Sadly, that was Tyrod's moment for his own hits. The impact of the close-range punches would have stumbled Dante, if he hadn't been caught in the gravitational field. Every strike brought more pain and anger into his mind. The fire that burned near his blade seemed to spread, consuming the ground near the creature's feet.

As much as he'd been taunting Tyrod, there was a bit of doubt growing in Dante's mind. He wasn't sure that he could handle much of his opponent's powers. How far would Tyrod go? The Elite's words seemed to solidify Dante's thoughts.

"I don't plan on dying here," he growled, pulling back to keep himself from being struck by Tyrod's blows. When Dante felt the normal influence of gravity hit him, he stumbled. It was so much lighter that he needed to momentarily adjust. In those moments, his gaze stayed locked on Tyrod. Demon. Again, the taunt came.
Nearly trembling in rage, Dante bore his fangs. His abilities seemed to flourish for a moment, and fire coupled with darkness began to coat him. Then, in a flash of fire and metal, Dante forced a rapid succession of energy toward Tyrod. Arcs of red, burning power flew toward the Elite, unaffected by the gravitational field.

When Tyrod moved to dodge them, Dante prepared to move once again. A sharp wave of pain stopped him, though, as a cough brought blood to his lips. That's bad. Wiping the warm liquid away, the male grit his teeth and focused on Tyrod. He was bleeding internally. This had to stop. One of them was going to die, and Dante wasn't going to lay down and allow it to be himself.

For the briefest of moments his mind moved to Kyreian. Would Tyrod kill her, too? It wouldn't be surprising if Xavier had ordered the execution of the Rebels, and the Elite involved as well. If he so much as touches her. . . . Dante seemed revitalized by the rush of adrenaline that coursed through him. This time his energy was sent forward in a wave of red fire, followed by another couple arcs of energy . . . and then Dante himself.

The fire that seemed to coat him did little in the gravity field, but it managed to eat away at the power enough to let him gain a bit of speed. That "speed" meant his moves were vaguely normal, if not slightly sluggish. "How long can you hold me off, brother?" He ignored the thought that prompted worry in the back of his mind. Bleeding as he was, both externally and internally, he wouldn't last much longer. Dante could only hope that his power would win him some foothold soon. If it didn't . . . he would fall.

((Dun dun DUN!!!))

Marsyas 01-06-2012 08:15 PM

Tyrod met eyes with Dante and could see the anger and rising fear in his eyes. He knew this couldn't go on, but he seemed stubborn about this course of action. A foolish idea. Then there seemed to be some sort of realization. Has he noticed? The both of them had their external wounds, Dante's probably looking worse than his own but they were pushing each other.

This is what it what it meant to be an Elite. A top of the line mutant with both incredible power and potential. The thought brought a grin to Ty's face, then he noticed the fires that were intensifying at his opponent's feet which made him hesitate and step back. Just as he did, Dante jumped back, admitting he wasn't ready to lose. Good. He wasn't giving up. It wouldn't be any fun if he did.
Those punches seemed to have taken a toll on the silver haired beast but they had effectively tired out Tyrod as well. His breaths grew longer and heavier. It took a inhuman concentration to both keep up his gravity field and continually attack with that much force at once and it had tired the mutant out.

Reducing the power of his field to conserve energy, Tyrod locked gazes with his opponent after his taunt. Of course it did nothing but add fuel to the fire as the demon seemed to burst with energy and launch a barrage of blasts at him. Confident that he could dodge the blasts with the help of his field, the younger Elite stood there quietly. But the energy didn't slow down, it wasn't effected at all. By the time he was able to react to the first blast he took a hard shot to his left shoulder and he ducked under the following attack.

Grimacing and letting out a low grunt as he immediately lost feeling in his left arm, he was forced to use his right to fend off the other attacks. He noticed Dante was about to make a move again and took that time to quickly analyze his shoulder. It was dislocated. Quickly snapping it downward and jerking it back up, it popped back in the socket but he still wouldn't be able to use it again for a bit.
His whole left side was becoming a liability now. He wiped the blood from his eye and opened it but his vision was blurred. He'd gotten some in it. Still it was better than having no vision at all from that side.

Using his powers, the sudden flame was split with a chopping motion and he deflected the other bursts with a strong sweeping backhand motion. Within that small window of time Dante had closed the gap between them again and was now taunting him. Hopefully, long enough. Having reduced the intensity of his gravity field, the demon's attacks were much quicker and more precise. To put it plainly, Tyrod was losing ground. With the speed differential and his lack of an arm, he had to spend more time evading than he could countering or even launching his own offensive.

I have to come up with something. He needed a bit more time. There was a burning sensation running through his left arm, which meant that the feeling was returning. If he could hold off just long enough, he could end this fight with one final attack. A part of him didn't even want to kill Dante at this point. He'd earned Tyrod's respect through his strength, but unfortunately there was a job to be done. The thought revealed a slight smirk on his features as the fight ensued.

((Dun DUUUNNNN!!! LMBO!))

Esmme 01-06-2012 10:36 PM

((O_O I love this thread . . . it's the only thing bringing me on Mene today!

Looked at the pictures again. ;) It's Tyrod vs. Dante!))

A hiss came through Dante's clenched fangs as Tyrod stumbled. One of his strikes had gotten through. The creature could feel the weakness in Tyrod - even if it was just a sense of being worn out. He heard the Elite's breath becoming more labored, and the blood on his face was getting in the way. The grating snap of his shoulder being reset made Dante flinch. That had to hurt.

There was a moment when Dante thought he might win. For a brief window of time, the male found himself gaining ground and landing strikes. Taking advantage of Tyrod's loss of his arm and dull sight, he charged forward, ramming the other male with his shoulder. It brought his enemy to the ground before him, knocking the youth backward. It was then that Dante reached for the holster on his thigh, bringing a gun level with Tyrod's face. "Good try," he smirked, glowing eyes full of hatred.

Watching the look on Tyrod's face, the horned creature pulled the trigger. "Jackpot."

Marsyas 01-07-2012 07:51 AM

((Lol :) epic battle going on right now :squee: ))

He was losing. And to be frank, he almost couldn't believe it. Yet, somehow it excited him and urged him on even though he was the one cornered and on the verge of death possibly. Dante had connected with a strike and it staggered him long enough for the demon to charge him and take him to the ground. He was mounted, but the feeling in his arm was back.

As Dante reached for the holster on his thigh, Tyrod simply grinned. Good try. The trigger went off and suddenly the two of them were being lifted off the ground. Jackpot. "Wrong," he whispered as he stared transparently at the demonic mutant in front of him. The bullet from the gun was floating just centimeters from the mutants face as the two of them climbed higher off of the ground.
Tyrod had erased the gravity around them, making them weightless and the gun useless. The bullet couldn't connect. Snatching the demon by the neck with his right hand in a sudden fit of aggression, he constricted and squeezed, amplifying his strength with his powers. "You boasted too soon, demon." This time, there was nothing Dante could do about the taunt. Now with his opponent unable to move or breathe in his grasp, they soon reached 100 feet in the air where their ascent came to a halt. Ty had decided that they were high enough. "I think this is where you get off."

He lifted Dante up until his arm was fully extended then torpedoed the silver maned Elite towards the ground with gravity's crushing weight baring down on him. As he floated above watching, Tyrod couldn't help but admit this had been fun, but there was little chance of surviving this. If he did, there wasn't going to be much left in his tank and he would be surprised if he could move.
To think, he'd been pushed to his limit, for the first time since he and Xavier had trained together a while back. He should've expected that from the eldest of the Elite yet somehow he hadn't. A lesson well learned. . . Brother.

He made a silent vow, right there at that moment as he motioned a crucifix over his opponent.

Esmme 01-07-2012 08:18 AM

((*sighs and falls over* Oh, man! I'm almost sad to see it end. . . .))

Dante expected something to happen . . . but he hadn't thought of lifting off the ground. Confusion crossed his features as gravity seemed to deplete, drawing them both into the air. The bullet spun uselessly for a few rotations before drifting farther from its target. Tyrod's whisper of denial was a prelude to his action.
An iron grip caught Dante's throat, making it impossible to breathe. Struggling against the Elite's hold, his clawed hands released his weapons in a knee-jerk reaction. As they drifted away, the male bore his fangs and tore into Tyrod's wrist and arm as best he could. For a moment he was nearly frantic. A flicker of panic moved through his gaze.

The ground seemed to be more distant now, though Dante couldn't focus much anymore. Everything was starting to blur.
"You boasted too soon, demon." Dante tried to wrench Tyrod's hand from his neck, unable to draw breath. Pulling away as best he could, the creature suddenly realized that he was caught: he was vulnerable. Despite the anger at being called a minion of hell's depths, the mutant could do nothing.
Defiantly meeting Tyrod's gaze as he was lifted, the world suddenly started spinning. Dante could hear nothing beyond the rush of air as he shot toward the ground. There was a ground-shaking crash as the wooden floor crumbled in his immediate area. The gym floor had shattered and collapsed, leaving dust and dirt swirling in the air.

Dante's bloody form was crumpled within the destructive collapse. No darkness or fire flit about him; no sign of his defiance filled the air. If one looked close enough, they would see his chest hardly moving. It was many moments before Dante gasped for breath, coughing raggedly. His gloved hand weakly closed about one of the splintered boards that protruded from his side. A cry left his lips as he touched the object. It would be better to leave it alone.
As he fought for breath, his crimson gaze found Tyrod. Ignoring the warm blood that coated his hand, Dante hissed weakly. If only he could move. He would have attacked again, had he the ability to do so. Did this mean that, since he'd failed to defeat Tyrod, Kyreian would die as well?

"I . . ." Dante could hardly manage to form words as he fought to keep conscious. "Hate you."

Seer Of the Future 01-07-2012 05:44 PM

Zeelith smiled and then blushed as Kurt kissed her cheek. She then turned to him and hugged him tightly unable to contain herself. "You are such an angel.... I don't know what I would do without you..." she whispered in his ear as she hugged her close friend tightly. She then pulled away slowly and heard the pattering of Chris running across the wooden floor.
"Anybody home?" called a all too familiar voice and Zeelith froze. "No..." she breathed and with heightened worry she let go of Kurt and ran down the hall and out to the living room. Seeing the blonde haired male and Chris she quickly scooped her son into her arms and pointed her claw at him. "What do you want?" she hissed coldly. The male stood slowly, smiling cooly.
"He's grown alot since I last saw him hasn't he?" Kaden said and Zeelith nearly growled. Chris was holding onto her scared and Kaden finally held up his hands. "Relax... I'm here to check up on you, daddy's orders." he said and her eyes locked on him as he smirked. "Oh I know... I was the first to figure it out..... Your father didn't even care to find you... Oh no, not until I found you." he said and Chris whimpered in fear at the malice in the man's voice. "Get out!" Zeelith snarled and Kaden chuckled. "Fine... See you at school." he said and walked out the door, closing it behind him. Chris looked up to Zeelith and whimpered. "What did he mean momma?" he asked softly and Zeelith shook her head and cradled Chris's head to her shoulder. "Shhh little one, just forget about what he said...." she whispered, of course that snake would show up here.

((That was intense!!! :squee: Okay...now how I am suppose to follow up on that one?? haha :) and thanks for the compliment! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside:hug: ))
Never having seen a real fight in her life, Cat could understand the madness that was going on before her. With wide eyes she stared as these two opponents, filled with rage and the need to end one another, what could the reason be for such hatred? More than anything she wanted to stop this battle; the bloodshed could not go on. But as she took a step toward them, something happened to her to cause her to lose her breath and she had to use the wall to support her weight or she would have collapsed to the ground.

It felt like waves of energy where hitting her in all directions causing her insides to cringe and throb. Agonizing pain filled her from head to toe for several minutes as she tried to catch her breath and move away. Slowly, she sunk to the floor and all she could do was watch the violence that was taking place. Then she realized something, this was the first time she had really been around mutants using their power to their full potential. The energy that was attacking her was coming from them, she could tell where each one came from. They were similar but different, like finger prints. Her vision became blurry for a moment as she stared at these two men, both trying to kill the other for reasons she had no idea about. As if something clicked in her brain, she suddenly felt like her normal self as if she had been cured or pulled out of the way of the waves.

What's happening to me?? Cat ask herself as she stared down at the hand prints burned into the floor, apparently the pain made her momentarily loose control of her power. When she managed to stand back up she realized that the fighting had grown more intense, she had never seen so much blood in her life. She wanted to scream at them to stop or try to use her power somehow to cause a distraction, but she was still in shock. All she could do was stare at the scene taking place, like she wasn't even really there.

Cat let out a short scream in reaction to the gun fire but noticed that nothing happened to the other, the bullet did not hit him. Before her eyes, the one the other called "demon" had been seized by the neck and hoisted into the air. Everything that happened next seemed to have been a blur to Cat because before she realized what all had happened, the ground started to rumble and the entire room caved in. She tried her best to avoid the debris but she was injured pretty badly, a pool of blood surrounded where she now laid in a ball on the floor. The pain left her body motionless even though she knew that the only way she would have been able to heal was if she pulled out the wood from her wounds. There was no way she could do it, it hurt way too much. Why did she follow the noise? Why didn't she just run away when she noticed a fight taking place to begin with? She knew that bystanders could get hurt as well. Seems like they were right... she thought to herself taking in the irony. Curiosity kills the cat. Then she looked over at the one who obviously had lost that battle as he told the other that he hated him. Even though she wasn't one for hate, Cat couldn't blame him.

((I've read over that entire battle about 8 times and I get excited every single time I read it! That was an awesome fight! Thank you CS! Me wuvs your writing style too lol :glomp: ))

Blinking as he reverted back to his natural state from his released form, Tyrod had to take a seat next to the corpse beside him. He was exhausted and low on energy. There was a crowning and overwhelming sense of accomplishment after this desperately fought battle. He'd just essentially killed Dante, the oldest and strongest of the Elite, which meant he'd just taken a throne he'd already felt was rightfully his. Now it was confirmed. Though there was still breath in the demon's lungs, Ty knew that wouldn't last much longer.

With a grim smile he leaned over and spoke softly into the ear of the dying man. "What determines a man's worth Dante? Do you want to know the answer to my question? I'll tell you. . ." Cupping the man's chin and making him look him in his hazel eyes and grinned. Then he leaned over and whispered in his ear, "The intrinsic value of his ambition." What that meant was how far he was willing to go to achieve his goals. In Ty's case, he would do whatever he needed to. Even killing people he had gained respect for if it came to that. No one was exempt from this.

Then out of nowhere he got a message. He was to bring Dante to the office? Well that was fine, he intended to do that anyway. It wasn't like he could just leave the body there to be found. "Looks like Xavier wants to say goodbye Dante. Looks like he cared more for you than you knew," he spat mockingly. Standing to his feet slowly, the brunette picked the body up by the arm and threw his dying sibling over his shoulder. He used his powers to lighten the load. Time to make this delivery.

---

Jinesis had just watched the most brutal fight of his entire life and was on the verge of seeing one of his brothers die. What could he do? Nothing. As much as he wanted to rush over and help Dante, he was a traitor. There had to be some sort of punishment for traitors, or else there would be no order. But was that even a something he should be worried about right now? No. With Kyrelian in front of him, he was cut off from his partner and honestly at a disadvantage. He didn't have a clue what her powers were and he wasn't very strong himself. At best his powers were wishy-washy thanks to his lack of training.

Today had been more than exciting enough for him and there had been enough blood spilled to last him for some years. As he had watched the fight, he could feel the immense power seeping from both of the combatants and it had caused his head to spin for a minute before regaining his senses. He noticed a girl walked in and witnessed the sheer anarchy being unleashed. When Dante had been sent to his death, the aftershock of his landing had knocked Jin off his feet but he managed to pull a barrier over Kyrelian and his self in time to shelter them both from the debris. When he was sure that things were settled the barrier receded to expose the current sight. Two bloody bodies. One on the verge of death and the other severely injured. He was both amazed and mortified. If this was what the Elite were all like, then he had a long way to go before he was anywhere near their level of power.

---

Quiese sat back in silence masking his presence from the other mutants in the room. He watched the fight in awe and amusement. The Elite had proved that their name was well deserved. That battle was definitely one of most spectacular show of skill and raw power he had ever seen, but. . . there was a problem. It confirmed one thing he needed to know, and it was that Dante and Kyrelian had been sincere in their desire to join the resistance. Why else would the Elite be fighting amongst themselves? It also meant that Xavier knew about them. Not to mention that Dante was virtually dead, so they had just lost a powerful ally.

He could see Dante's demonic aura fading to a dull grey like all the other inanimate objects around him. It was a scary thought. If Tyrod was strong enough to kill Dante who had one of the most powerful mutant aura's he'd ever seen, that meant he was stronger than his aura showed. So, did that mean he could mask his power? Likely. After seeing that, there was a distinct possibility that he was capable of that and who knows what else.

Going into his spectral form for a brief period when the building collapsed, he came out unharmed but the female that had been a bystander hadn't. Quickly rushing to her side he took her into his arms without so much as speaking a word. No one needed to know he was here or that he had witnessed the battle. With Kyrelian and the other male focused elsewhere he made it out without anyone noticing. He took the girl to the garden area and laid her on a bench. Being as careful as he could, the blind mutant started pulling the splinters and pieces of wood out of her wounds one at a time, "Relax, its not as bad as it looks," he said softly.

He needed to speak with Emma immediately, but he couldn't just go get her out of class and he was no telepath. He wondered if he called out to her mentally if she would hear his plea, but it was worth a try in this situation, Emma. . . Emma!

Kurt stood with his fangs bared until Kaden turned to leave. When the blond mutant finally disappeared, Kurt looked to Chris and Zeelith. "If he cares so little, why put you here?" His yellow eyes narrowed as he thought about the headmaster. "Kaden said he wasn't looking for you until someone else pointed you out. Do you think this is true?"
Slowly coming to stand beside Chris and his mother, the mutant rested a hand on the boy's head. Xavier wasn't known for "touching reunions." Why was he bringing Zeelith here? What was the point?

-

As he weakly tried to pull one of the splintered boards from his chest, the creature was forced to listen to Tyrod's closely whispered words. A man's worth was based off of how far he was willing to push to achieve his goals, by the other Elite's words. He finally managed to wrench a large beam from its place, crying out as he did so. The pain was so sharp, he almost lost consciousness. It was the warmth of Tyrod's hand that brought him back.
Looking up into the brunette's face Dante's red eyes blazed with hatred and pain. Fury brought him to bare his fangs when Xavier was mentioned. "Damn him," Dante coughed, wincing as Tyrod lifted him. With a pained hiss, the mutant felt the world shift. Everything was fading now, like someone was turning the volume down. Sound faded last, though. The first feeling that was obvious to him was how he went numb. The pain hurt like hell at first . . . but it began to disappear as soon as he was lifted from the destroyed floor.

Lifting his horned head to send a glance in Kyeian's direction, Dante grit his teeth. I'm sorry. It was so hard to draw breath now, that he felt himself just giving up. The world faded further, leaving the mutant floating in death's doorway. I love you.
-

Xavier waited for Tyrod in silent darkness, his gaze locked on the door. Very good, Tyrod. This battle has shown your strength. He knew Dante hadn't been easy to kill, but his death signified a great achievement. It was . . . invigorating to see how far Tyrod had come. He'd gained a level of power that many mutants, Elite or not, would never know. Despite Tyrod carrying this strength, Xavier didn't look anxious when he saw the boy appear in his doorway. If anything, he looked pleased.

Leave him there. The headmaster motioned to the floor before the door closed itself behind Tyrod. Xavier needed to move quickly before it was too late. You have done well. We have gained another ally this day. So to speak, anyway. As Dante's cooling form was set on the ground, Xavier knelt beside him and pressed a hand to the creature's heart. Already wisps of darkness began to writhe about as a sense of power grew about the elder mutant.
The energy became almost palpable as Xavier continued. Leave me. His voice carried more than mere words, but a mental prod as well. It was the equivalent of being shoved out into the hallway.

Emma sighed, staring at the blackboard. Luckily, she'd already read the chapter that the instructor was talking about. Her blue eyes flickered to the clock, and she made more of an effort to pay attention to the professor. It wasn't usually this hard, but she was distracted.
A blip of energy seemed to catch her attention. With a frown, the blonde focused on that source of power. It almost sounded like someone was crying out in pain, a desperate call of someone who was on the brink of death. It was gone just as suddenly. Emma's brow knit in concentration, and many moments later she heard a weak mental cry. A familiar voice?

Her eyes closed as she forced her concentration further. Her name. She heard her name being spoken, though the sound was hardly over a whisper of noise in her mind. 'Quiese?' Her words were quiet, as though she was speaking into a phone who's signal was dying. It was hard for her to stretch her powers to the other side of the school. 'Are you okay?'

((GAh, I know! I've read over the fight a bazillion times, too!! Every time it just . . . whew! AMAZING! By far, that was the funnest battle I've had since joining. ;) Now . . . we just need Kiona's input. . . . (Poor thing must be busy!)

Nilla smiled at Eric. "Its really nice to meet you. I... uh... I do, but Its a little hard to be in class with ears like mine. That is unless you are...." She paused as her ears perked up. "Her systems started to go on fire. The smell of blood was everywhere now. It was so strong, she felt that it could possibly be right next to her. "I.... I'm sorry... So much blood.... Something's wrong." She said looking around for the sent's path with some urgency. The amount of blood she was smelling seemed so strong it could be a fatal wound. Nilla had dealt with so many fatal wounds on the streets, that she knew when it was bad. She quickly went towards the area where the girl was.

The blood smell was so strong she almost coughed profusely. It was something she stopped herself from doing as she saw a man with the girl. The girl had so many wounds. the debris just seemed to be everywhere inside her. "What happened?" She asked urgently. "What can i do?... Shouldnt we take her to the hospital wing?"

Of course she didnt want to show what she could do, but if they wanted to get the girl to the hospital wing quickly, she could do it. "I can carry her there.... I can change and carry her there." Urgency was in her voice even though she wasnt really one to do any socializing of any kind, including to help. Maybe it had been because of Xavier. "I can go get the nurse, or whoever too.... Bring them as quickly as possible..... Just tell me something i can do." She said trying to figure out how she could help. The blood was making her nauseas.

((Lol no one's mad at at Kiona I promise. *makes an X over his heart* And as far as I'm concerned we don't have to fight unless you absolutely want to. Jin isn't anywhere near as strong as Tyrod anyway ha. But do what you want and I'll add to and make things interesting. ;) ))

TheNewCSLewis 01-10-2012 02:06 AM

(Yay!!! Hugs all around!! hahahaha ))

Even though her eyes were closed as she tried to block out the pain, she could feel herself be lifted into the air and held in a guys arms. Who was this? Was he trying to help her? Cat didn't dare open her eyes, she wanted to play dead until she knew if she was safe now or not. Then scene changed, she knew this from the sounds of birds chirping and the feeling of a breeze that chilled the blood trickling from her body. The guy set her down on a bench causing the pain to shoot through her again. This time she could not help but let out a small whimper. As he began to pull the pieces of wood out from her body she bit her lip against the pain so she would keep quiet. When she heard him tell her to relax in a comforting tone she slowly opened her eyes to look at him. His face looked like he was consentrating hard on something though she couldn't see his eyes because they were covered but she didn't think to question it.

Everytime he pulled out a piece of wood it felt like fire burning on her skin until the wound closed up and healed over. Then she realized something. Her blood covered hand grabbed the guys arm. A surge of energy rushed through her causing her stomach churned and skin to crawl, she could feel his power but like the others she still could not tell what it was exactly. "Wait," she breathed before closing her eyes, pushing his arm away and releasing the fire from within herself. The bench she was lying on bursted into flames and her entire looked as it was being engulfed by a large fire ball. The wood in her wounds turned to ash and even though it hurt her more than anything she had ever experienced before, she knew that the pain would go away once this was done.

The fire settled and she was now sitting in a pile of ash, covered in newly formed pink scars. A mixture of ash and blood stuck to her body but she felt fine as if nothing had happened, but the scars would never fully heal. She looked up at the guy who had pulled her out of that place, still not sure if she should move. "Th-thank you," she whispered to him as tears began to fill her eyes. Even though she didn't know what could kill her anymore, she knew that if she would have stayed there she would have never been able to heal herself and she might have bleed out. "I-I think you save my life..." No one had done her such a kindness before and she didn't know what she should do about it. "I'm Cat."

Daeman35 01-10-2012 04:07 PM

(Awww... No love for the Nilla. Eh. I guess ill post after Marsyas replies to you CS

No one will ever be mad at you Kiona... theyd have to deal with your twinny if thats the case ^.^)

Marsyas 01-10-2012 09:12 PM

((Lol sorry Nilla. Oh and as a side note, there's nothing over Quiese's eyes that's just in the picture. He is blind though. . . Kinda  ))

Quiese sat quietly working on taking out the pieces of wood when another woman arrived from out of nowhere asking if she could help. He frantic tone and actions caused the blind male to raise an eyebrow at her. Looking at her aura he could tell she was a mutant, so he didn't understand why she reacted this way to blood, but some people were just squeamish by nature, "I don't know who you are, but relax. If you panic, she'll panic," he told the girl sternly with a nod in the patient's direction. Turning back to the girl he'd taken out of the gym but before he could continue she suddenly opened her eyes and grabbed him. Pausing for a moment he jumped back when her body suddenly ignited in flames. He looked at the other woman who had come to help, albeit a bit over the top, but her intentions were in the right place.

When the flames subsided, the bench had turned to ash and the woman was fully healed though there were scars from where the debris had pierced her skin. It was amazing really. He was here with two more mutants. Maybe if I play my cards right, and they seem useful, I'll invite them. He watched as the girl stood up and thanked him before introducing herself, "I'm Quiese and you don't have to thank me Cat. I was just doing what was right." Then looking to the other woman he extended a hand, "Thank you for coming to her aid, it's a rare thing around here. I'm Quiese."

---

Tyrod dropped the body in the designated spot and gazed back at Xavier, "So what do you plan to do with that," he said nodding in Dante's direction. The only reason he would want him to bring his body to him was because he had plans for it, but it was disturbing, even to him, for Xavier to request that the body be left in here. He hoped that the body wouldn't be defiled. Tyrod was a Christian and as willing as he was to kill, he didn't mess with dead bodies. Their souls were gone, and it was meant to stay that way. . .
