((oh haha alright then))
"Still...thank you." Suddenly Cat felt confused. Not too long after she arrived at this school she had witness first hand a battle that nearly cost her her life as a simple bystander, and now there were these two people who wanted to help her. She didn't know what to think about all of this. A part of her wanted to transform into her cat form and climb a tree to get away from all of this but the other part was extremely curious to all of this. She wanted to know why she could feel people's powers the way she did and if she could some how use that to her advantage, but curiosity has proven her to be a dangerous thing. "Who were those two guys back there?" she asked Quiese as she looked around. Wait...how did I get all the way out her? she pondered as she stared down at the pile of dust that had once been the bench. Cat could have sworn that he had placed her down within seconds of picking her up. Obviously there was a lot for her to learn about the mutant world.

kionaredhawk 01-11-2012 10:29 PM

(Alright. Marsyas, if any of this does not work for you (like the dust comment), tell me, and I will edit without a problem. I just wasn’t sure where to begin/end, etc….So just poke me and let me know >.<
....yeah....)

Kyreian hadn’t moved. Not once, even with the battle raging near them, did she do anything but breath and blink as she stared Jinesis down. She would not need to make the first move. She was patient. And she knew. The boy had power and she was not going to underestimate him, though she believed she may have the advantage of training and experience. He was green. But she wouldn’t barge in. No, that was not how she was taught, how she did things.
Her eyes were blackened holes as she could feel the pull of the Darkness. Her veins almost seemed to pulse under her pale white skin. She was ready to move if the young Elite decided to use his powers but other then that, she was just still. Her face held nothing as her senses picked up everything around her. The battle behind her held something dear and a few times she had wanted to turn, ignoring the little mutant, and help her lover. But she resisted. That is, until the end.
As soon as the battle ended and Jin dispersed his little shelter he had made for them, she attacked, not thinking nor blinking, faster then she had any real right to be. The gloves were off, figuratively and literally. She wouldn’t kill the boy, no. She would just maim him. She had learned enough control to do at least that much. And it needed to be over quickly. Dante was hurt, dying, and she needed to find him and help him. She needed just him. And he was hurt.
She moved fast, hands flashing quicker as she moved to touch his wall here and there, dust crumbling behind her as she made her decision. Finally, she had an empty space where she could see Jin and her black eyes were empty. Her voice shook with anger and restraint as the Dark started to call her again as it hasn’t done in ages. “I don’t’ want to fight you, kid. All I want is to save Dante. That’s all I care about. Either you stop this stupid fight or we finish it and I don’t believe you’ll enjoy the result of that any more then I would. Xavier has no right to interfere with any of our lives in this way.” She stopped then and waited, her eyes staring into his. She hoped he wasn’t so far gone as Tyrod that he would understand.

Kainmin didn’t really understand. He hadn’t reacted as she had thought he would, as any normal person had. A frown appeared on her face as she listened to his words. “I don’t understand. You’re only scared when I hide? I…I don’t get it.”
She jumped when there was a loud crashing sound coming from the gym area. She turned her head, eyes starting to change again as her nostril’s flared. “Someone’s bleeding.”

Marsyas 01-12-2012 01:25 AM

((everything was cool kiona, don't worry :D))

Jin didn't understand. Kyrelian was just sitting there. She didn't move or even watching the fight like he had. That meant she was a defensive fighter like and was waiting on him to make the first move, or she didn't want to fight. But looking in her eyes it was more likely the the former. After the final blow had been struck, she charged and Jin used his powers to keep her busy with his defensive wall.
Unfortunately he hadn't known what her powers were. Every plant she touched was crumbling and falling like ash. The plants are dying? If that was her ability then he was in far more danger than he first thought. How was he suppose to fight something that killed everything it touched? He didn't have the answer.

After she had melted his wall down enough that she could look him in the eye and grab him if need be she presented him with an option. Fight or don't fight. The black haired male raised an eyebrow, "I already told you I didn't want to fight. I know I'm not likely to beat any of you nor am I strong enough to pose a threat. If you want to leave then leave. I'm not throwing my life away now that the fight's already over." Had she attacked while Tyrod and Dante were both still battling then that would've been a different story. At that point he would've done what needed to be done to stall until the fight was over, and Jin had been prepared to do just that. But thanks to Kyrelian's decision to wait until things were over he hadn't even had to lift a finger, All the better.

"Go find Dante. Better yet, go find Xavier. I'll bet everything I own that, that's where Tyrod took him. Though he'd probably dead by now." He hadn't said that to be rude or spark a flame in her, but she had wasted unnecessary time with him if she really had wanted to help Dante. He guessed that she had expected him to be like his brother, ruthless, but to be frank they were nothing alike. Tyrod was strong and had an agenda, and he was weak and simply happy to have someone who accepted him. More than anything else, that was the reason he stayed around.

Now that he thought about it, Tyrod had to have known how strong Kyrelian was, and still he threw him in the face of death. Lady luck had been looking down on him today. . .

((I'll post for Quiese after Daeman posts. CS I think you've been missing her posts. Her character is there with ours all extra concerned for yours. ))

Esmme 01-12-2012 04:11 AM

Xavier eyed Tyrod for many moments before waving him off with a slow movement. "It is none of your concern, Tyrod." He wasn't going to impart any amount of his plan to the youth, apparently. His red eyes hardened, but a smile found its way to his face. "You have done well. You have overthrown the only mutant higher than you." Save Xavier himself, though that went without words. "Continue with the Rebels. I want them destroyed."

The headmaster was killing of the impure mutants in the school. He brought mutants from all over the world together for one purpose: to use their power, to feed, and to eliminate the underdogs that polluted the bloodline. The Rebels were mostly "mudbloods," though some purebloods had joined them as well. Xavier wanted to be sure that they were all found and rooted out. He wanted the strongest mutants alive, and loyal to him. He wanted the rest destroyed.
"Rest, if that's what you require." Once more a mental prod moved through Tyrod. He was being dismissed with more force now. "I am finished with you for today."
-

Eric hesitated, wondering if he could even begin to explain. "When you hide, you . . . don't match your feelings. I can feel what you feel. You're more at peace when you're . . . different." The blond frowned, shaking his head. "It's hard to explain." He glanced back to Kain to find her eyes shifting once more. "Bleeding?"
His powers were sensitive, but only to the immediate area. He hadn't felt the torment of the earlier battle, though if he'd been close enough he surely would have been overwhelmed. "You can smell that?" Curiosity filled his blue eyes, and he reached for the girl's hand. "Do you want to see what it is?"

((Okay, I'm pretty sure I keep switching between "Eric" and "Erik." >.> I'm going to see if I can remember to keep it with a 'c'!))

Daeman35 01-12-2012 03:48 PM

Nilla took in a couple deep breaths so as not to panic about everything that had happened. the incoming air made it so that she could concentrate on the situation. When she looked back at the girls cuts, she saw only scar tissue as if it had been burned shut. With that her eyes widened. It was like everyone around her was also a sort of mutant, just like her. It looked as if she didnt actually need to go get this girl some help. She seemed to have done that herself. In awe, she waited for the girl to move, but then the bench seemed to catch on fire, which made her hide behind the blind man. She had grabbed onto his clothing out fo terror, clinging to it as if for her life. Fire was one thing she stayed away from, being one of the things her townspeople used to keep her away from them, or drive her out of the city. When the fire was gone and everything was ash, she sort of walked out from behind Quiese. The girl stood and spoke, saying her name was Cat. That was an interesting name for someone who had fire as a power, or at least it was to her. Of course her thoughts probably came from her own ability to change into a cat, but she wasnt going to tell them that.

Quiese spoke to Cat saying her name than his own to greet her properly. He then turned to her and thanked her for coming to the girl's aid. Nilla was almost speechless as she looked between the two beings, but finally she cleared her throat and stood a little taller. "Nilla.... My... name is Nilla." She said trying to make it sound like she was not afraid of the two of them. The shakiness of her body started to increase as she realized she was with more mutant people. It was almost as if the social skills she had been trying to use on Eric and the other girl was not going to help her social anxiety go away. Of course her anxiety had caused her not to notice that the man had put his hand out towards her. She looked at it then up at his eyes. They looked glazed over as if he could possibly be blind. No.... He cant be blind. He just saved this girl and pulled the splinters out. Theres no way he could do that without being able to see. Not to mention of course his hand is outstretched to me..... But his eyes.... She stared at his eyes for another second then put her hand up to his outstretched one as if they were comparing size. Of course it wasnt like she was trying to be rude or anything, she just didnt understand what it meant. No one had ever tried to shake her hand before.

TheNewCSLewis 01-12-2012 06:51 PM

((Oh okay my bad... I'll fix that in my next post, I promise!!!! But right now I am going to wait for Quiese...))

kionaredhawk 01-13-2012 12:00 AM

(Yay! Thanks :) And there's no l in Kyreian's name >.<)

Kyreian watched him as he spoke. When he ended, she merely nodded her head at him and was gone, following her heart to end at Xavier's. As she ran, her mind was racing with images of things gone past, when she first met Dante and various happenings since then. A tear slid from her eye only to vanish as it touched her deadly skin. He can't be dead. She didn't know what she would do if she found Dante dead when she got there. Dante won't be dead. As she sprinted away, a darkness seemed to come for her skin as her head was not on the current task. The Darkness was starting again. She only hoped that when she met Xavier, it would be on her own terms, in the dark world that took her at times. She wanted to meet him in the world of death that he had created when she made her what she is. May the Darkness consume us if he's dead., she thought silently as she rounded the last corner.
Tyrod was there, standing above his dead body. Xavier was dismissing the destroyer. Tendrils of Shadow seemed to spring from Kyreian's blackened veins as she allowed her power to take over, to become the Deathling her parents had made her.

Without saying a word, Kainmin took his hand and nodded. She lead the way away from the garden, not bothering to say a world as her image seemed to blur between her human self and the halfway form she takes before changing full. She stopped near the entrance of the gym to look inside, seeing a ruined floor and blood trailing. Another was there, by his smell, another mutant. Her eyes flashed red at that realization. She had no idea that the odd scent she had been smelling off of others was an indication of mutation. They were different smells depending on the person but she hadn't sniffed anything close to that outside of these walls.
She pointed at Jin and asked in a rough voice,
"What happened? Who's bleeding? Why does it smell like death?" She hadn't let go of Erics hand. Somehow, it was a reassuring warmth in her icy hands as tattoos were beginning to spread along her skin.

(...hope that was okay with Kain >.<)

Esmme 01-13-2012 03:07 AM

(( Kain is great!))

As they neared the gym, Eric frowned. He could feel elated emotions of various sorts . . . the most potent being fear and sorrow. Rage overwhelmed him momentarily, and the blond just followed Kainmin while staring blankly. The anger faded, though, as someone moved from the room. Another mutant had been the source of such horrid rage and fear. As they followed the trail of one blood source, they found a trio near in the garden. Now, there was something else. These people felt different. Worry. Confusion. Curiosity. Anxiety. His gray eyes flickered over the group, lingering first on the newly scarred girl, and then the girl with cat ears. With a brow raised, he then spotted Quiese. The male was . . . blind.
Staring for a moment, Eric then glanced at Kain. She started asking questions rapidly, her markings darting over her skin like agitated water. "Calm down," he whispered to Kain, his touch on her hand helping with his ability to calm her. The girl's cold fingers were vice-like, though that didn't bother him. Her colored gaze made him smile a bit. "They need a chance to answer you."
-

Another figure neared as Xavier motioned Tyrod away. Xavier's red eyes narrowed, and he stood, moving between Kyreian and the limp form on the floor. "Kyreian. How . . . unexpected." What a surprise. She had followed. Xavier's words dripped with sarcasm, though his features remained passive. The pale creature lifted a brow, and then motioned toward Dante's form. "This is who you're seeking, is it not?"
Tendrils of darkness trailed over Dante's bare skin - the front of his coat was open now, and blood consumed the ground about him. Xavier smiled slightly. "Sacrifices must be made if our kind wants to survive this world." His red eyes glowed brighter as he "tasted" the darkness about the "Deathling." "He is just the first of many." Then his features softened. "Give me your power."

The words were a command both verbally, and mentally. A wave of energy rolled over Kyreian, and he lifted a clawed hand toward the woman. "I can save him with your energy." He didn't look particularly worried for Dante, or sympathetic toward Kyreian, but his pale features reflected curiosity . . . as always. Xavier's expressions always showed how he thought of the world around him. He played it all like it was a game - he certainly had the power to pretend.
"Surely you can see it. He's already leaving this world." As though in response, Dante's cooling form was consumed by a wave of darkness. Xavier would either use Kyreian to get to his means, or he would keep Dante from her. "You have little time to decide."

Daeman35 01-13-2012 01:03 PM

(Hey Es... Quiese, Nilla, and Cat are in the garden. Quiese brought cat to the garden away from the fight that was in the gym.)

Marsyas 01-13-2012 07:47 PM

(No prob, and sorry about that. I know there's not one in there but I still do it. Probably because its so similar to the name of a person I know, so I always do that and mentally slap myself afterwards when I notice it. )

Tyrod could feel Xavier's mental prodding, but it appeared that the master didn't know that the mutant was immune to all mental powers at this point. He didn't like being talked down on that way either, but he tolerated it. There was a greater goal behind everything he did. After finally seeing that the academy's headmaster wouldn't tell him anything he decided to leave on his own. He wouldn't even bother to pretend like he was annoyed by Xavier's prodding, he was way too tired for that. Giving a lax shrug of his shoulders he walked out as Kyreian rushed in past him. She didn't appear harmed which meant she hadn't bothered to fight or she beat Jin faster than he would've expected. In the case of the latter, Ty would've been very disappointed, but he suspected it was the former. She was worried for Dante. He knew it.

A mischievous smile appeared on his lips as he slid his hands into his shallow pockets and walked to the nurses office to get cleaned up.

---

Quiese smiledshook his head at Cat, "You'll find out who they were eventually for now, I think it's better that you rest. You may be healed physically, but you can't tell me that you're not tired. I will answer your questions later. Sit down and catch your breath," he said motioning to another bench a few feet away from them.

The longer his hand stood outstretched, the more awkward Quiese felt. After a few moments he looked down at his hand then pulled it back rubbing it like it was sore or something, Alright then. . . He was confused as to what he should do with Nilla at this point so he closed his eyes again and changed the subject, "So, how is it that you knew we were here Nilla?" He knew the answer to his question of course, but he needed to say something so that this awkward moment would pass.

After asking Nilla the question he turned back to Cat, who hadn't yet moved, and escorted her to the bench, "Even mutant's have to rest sometimes, no matter how strong they were." Then as he 'looked' between the two girls he noticed that they both had interesting auras. Neither of them were all that powerful now, at least not in comparison to the mutants that had just shown off their skills, but they had upside. But being that he wasn't a leader in the resistance, just a mere recent recruit he had to talk to Emma or Remy before making any moves.

"Yes, I'm fine, but Dante was just killed Emma. Or almost killed. He and Tyrod just fought, and I don't think I've ever seen anything like that in my life. The Elite are strong and if they were fighting that means Xavier knows." He paused in his mind for her to allow his information to process for a moment before continuing, "You need to warn Remy that things are getting violent quickly. I don't know of anyone who had a stronger aura than Dante until now. Tyrod is the biggest problem at hand, how do you guys plan to deal with him and the rest of the Elite?" Xavier wouldn't get involved. Not unless he had to, which if they didn't take care of Tyrod, he wouldn't. It wasn't so much that he feared the mutant, but he saw his tremendous power in person and for some reason he felt like the mutant had held back. . .

Daeman35 01-14-2012 11:51 PM

Nilla followed the two to the bench after letting go of Quiese's hand. She found it a little awkward afterwards and she was sure that he did too. It was in his scent that he did. When they got to the bench, she stood, waiting for everyone to sit down. The man seemed a little distracted until he asked her a question that had been answered before, or at least could have been answered before when she had first come up.

"The smell. There was a strong smell of blood when you entered the gardens." Her body started to quiver as she spoke to the man. Socializing was getting to be more of something she had to do and more uncomfortable by the minute. I could.... Smell it. Just like the smell coming from inside the school. I think from the strength of the smell and the side of the building it is coming on, puts the blood in Pro......" She paused for a second as if surprised by what she was about to say. "In his office..." She finally said. "And another of it in the gym.... The gym is where it is strongest where there is two different scents of blood." She looked at the other two hoping it was enough for talking.

(Shooot..... I probably shouldve waited for CS.... )

Zeelith turned to look at Kurt and then shook her head. "I don't know..." she whispered and a little sob came from Chris as his shoulder began to shake. "Chris... Hunny, it's okay..." Zeelih whispered worried as the little mutant began to cry. He clutched at her dhirt and burried his face into her neck. "Chris..." she whispered and another loud sob came from her little son. "It's alright..." "No! I don't want you to get hurt mommy! I don't want you to die!" he cried looking up at her with such sorrowful eyes. Zeelith looked down at him sadly and then pulled him tightly to her, a tear falling down her cheek. She had nearly died... She now knew how much Chris was begining to understand, and she didn't like it.

Daeman35 01-15-2012 06:18 PM

(No worries CS. Take your time. This sort of thing always happens to people. ^.^ I know it's happened to me alot)

TheNewCSLewis 01-22-2012 05:44 PM

((Okay I was grounded this week so my mom stole my computer!!! :headdesk: I'm back though!!! Sorry...))

Cat did as Quiese suggested of her though she did not feel the least bit tired. In fact, she felt invigorated by all that she had seen and been through in the past hour. Maybe it was just an adrinaline rush or all the energy from the other mutants that had been pumped into her but she felt like she could run a mile without breaking a sweat. "I feel fine..." she told him as she sat down on the bench. When she looked down at her scared legs and arms, her bloody clothes and the ash that covered all of them her head began to spin. "I don't understand any of this," she then said as she covered her face with her hands. "I thought I was dead for sure..." Her attention went to the girl as she spoke and said something about being able to smell her blood from inside the school, what were her abilities exactly? For a moment Cat just stared at her and then she tried to smile. "Thank you for coming to help me," she told her and then she looked to Quiese. "Both of you. But I really need to know what is going on, I don't enjoy the idea of almost dying for an unknown reason..." Then she put all her attention who seemed to be deep in thought about something. Cat knew that he was aware of what was going on, the only problem was that she also knew that he probably wouldn't tell her. They were both strangers, she understood that, but things don't stay the same way forever. Before too long she would get her answers.

((Ugh...I promise the next post will be better...:XD))

Daeman35 01-23-2012 10:47 AM

(Your post was great!!! Dont worry about it. Im just gunna wait for Marsyas)

Marsyas 01-25-2012 10:48 PM

"The smell of blood huh? You have a good nose then Nilla," he said with a smile as he made a mental note of her capabilities. He listened quietly as she pointed out all the different locations of the smells and was a little surprised. She could pinpoint the exact areas that the scents came from and distinguish them. Impressive. Nilla would make an excellent tracker, and Quiese couldn't help but think of a dog when he thought of her nose, though it was probably an injustice to her credit. So the body was taken to Xavier? Why?

Then turning back to Cat as she spoke he nodded, "That's good, but I'm being cautious," he replied. As she shifted to a more solemn tone, he could feel her thoughts before she voiced them. Hmm, should I tell them what's going on? I'm not sure its safe to involve them in something like this and on top of that, having knowledge would put a target on their backs. Looking between the two girls the male shook his head, "I'm sorry, but for the sake of your safety I think it's best you don't know anything about what's going on here." Looking at Cat he continued, "You saw firsthand what we're dealing with," then facing Nilla, "and I don't think you want to see." He offered the seat next to Cat to Nilla and chose to sit on the edge of the decorative water fountain a few feet away from them.

After taking his seat he leaned forward with his elbows on his knees as he rested his chin on the backs of his hands, "Things around here are about to escalate into an all out war. I think you two should avoid this conflict at all costs." Even though he was blind it was easy to hear and see the concern in his features.

Esmme 01-26-2012 07:43 AM

It took many minutes for Emma to respond to Quiese's new-found information. 'Dead?' The blonde excused herself from class, heading down the hall slowly. 'I'll warn Remy. He deserves to know what's happened.' If Dante had been on their side, then Kyreian was as well. The two hardly did anything without one another, despite the hard facade they put on around everyone else. It hadn't been particularly difficult to siphon a few thoughts out of Dante's mind, and Emma was certain that he was in deep with Kyreian.
'How will we deal with them?' She repeated the question, swallowing quietly. 'I . . . don't know. This has gotten very big, very fast. I'll speak with Remy. We'll come up with something.' Emma started toward the male's dorms. She would get to Remy, and they would solidify some sort of action. They had to if they were going to survive.

Daeman35 01-26-2012 03:41 PM

(Es... I tried to tell you earlier. Cat, Quiese, and Nilla are in the garden where Quiese had taken Cat to protect her from the fight. Not the gym so no worries on them not being near us yet. )

Nila was a little shy when the man complimented her. She honestly didnt know what to do. It was hard to think that people could actually be so nice. Her social skills still not being as high as it probably should be, she smiled at the man to cover up how nervous she was near him. Unfortunately, his compliments and the surprised look on her face made her think that he might believe she was a dog. Or at least, she seemed to be acting like it. Her thoughts started to fill as if nervous about what they would think if they knew what she could do. Then she remembered something, Quiese was blind. He couldnt see her ears, though Cat could. Lost in her thoughts, the girls voice brought her back into the real world with a very large yet good point.

What she had described from what she could tell was exactly what Xavier had told her to watch out for. There was a rebellion that was going on. An all out war that divided the elite mutants and the rebellious ones. It was going to get horrible here if the mutants couldnt get a long. Now that she was thinking about the rebellion that was going on, she remembered that Xavier had given her a mission. She was to increase her social skills and try to find out which mutants in the school was part of the rebellion.

Quiese had motioned to Nilla as if to say that she could sit next to Cat. She took the seat, though she was weary of the girl having the fire jump out of her again. He didnt want her to see what was going on. Was it really that bad of a fight that had gone on? From the smell of the blood, she could definitely tell that there was a lot that had been spilled, but why? Quiese's voice and features suddenly turned extremely serious as she watched him put his elbows on his knees and his head on the back of his hands after he had sat on the fountain. He wanted them to avoid what was going on at all costs. Unfortunately for her, she was already in the middle of it, being a sort of spy for Xavier. Her mind traveled away from those thoughts though. "If.... if you dont mind... me asking...." Nilla got very nervous as she started to ask the question to the man. It had been weighing on her mind and Xavier had never told her why, so why not ask him. "How did it all start?"

TheNewCSLewis 01-27-2012 12:23 AM

A tremor of frustration ran up Cat's spine at Quiese's refusal to tell her what was going on. Because Nilla had just taken a seat next to her she tried to control the fire that wanted to spark out of her hand like it normally did when she was angry or upset. She stayed seated for as long as she could, long enough for Nilla to ask her question, but she could not stand it any long. Cat stood up and nearly stomped her foot defiantly as she crossed her arms to control her power. "You think that I care about being safe? Especially after what just happened?!" she asked him in a shrilled voice. "The only reason I nearly died (or maybe I wouldn't have died at all without you) was because I was caught off guard! And if there is a war that is going to be going on around me, I can't just stand idlely by!" For a moment she took a deep breath and allowed herself to breathe. Probably the most frustrating part of all this was because he didn't think she would be strong enough to handle it. Sure, she could not control her skills in the same way those two that were battling could but she knew if she tried her powers could far excide theirs. "If you are fighting a war, you will want me on your side," she told him. "You pulled me out of that gym so I owe you that, but if you toss me aside who knows if the other side will find out about me or not." Cat, at that moment, wasn't really sure if what she had just said was a warning or a threat. After she regained a little composer she stared at the other two and waited them to respond.
