Nodding Kaden looked at Leon worried. "I think it's threw some door... I never really caught what she said." he said softly and then looked down at Jill again. He honestly couldn't remember what she said about them. But then again, he and Leon had been out of it bad.
((sorry short. XD oooh yay! I'm ready for action.)) |
Enough huh? Tyrod had a feeling that those words were about as good as he would get out of the abnormal male. He wondered silently how hard it would be to please a man such as Xavier, being that he obviously had an obscene amount of power. The thought was quickly overshadowed by the realization that nobody would push him harder than he himself would so it didn't matter.
Am I willing to follow orders? Yeah I think I can do that... for now, of course. Ty matched the older male's dark grin with a crooked one of his own and took a knee as he held his right hand over his heart as a gesture of his loyalty. Then as he bowed his head he spoke firmly, "Take me as your student and I am your tool to be used from this moment forth." Waiting for a moment after he had finished his oath the male stood and looked Xavier dead in the eye showing nothing more than a thirst for knowledge. The young mutant wondered how long it would take for him to master his abilities and if at that point he would have the same type of aura radiating from him that the man in front of him had. From here on out, time is my only obstacle... |
"Through there, maybe?" Leon grit his teeth and stood warily. Unsteadily limping toward the door, he used every obstacle to aid his journey across the room. It took a good minute to get to the door he suspected would lead him to the others. Looking cautiously into the open hall, Leon leaned against the doorframe. "I'm going to check it out. Maybe someone knows what's going on around here."
Sending a grim smile to Kaden, the soldier stumbled down the hallway. - Watching in silence as Tyrod knelt before him, Xavier inclined his head. He waited for the man to stand before lifting slender hand to Tyrod's shoulder. Instead of a companionable gesture, it seemed . . . like a way of dominance. Red eyes flashed momentarily as the tall creature regarded his new . . . minion. "You will be weak after this." They always were. Without another word Xavier drew Tyrod in closer. His strength was incredible - he held the male still with one hand easily. Viciously sinking his fangs into his victim's throat, Xavier pulled both blood and power from Tyrod. The mark left behind would be a scar resembling a vampire's bite - and laced with metallic black and red veins that signalled how much power was within. Every one of Xavier's people would have that distinguishing brand, though not always near the throat. It was certainly . . . easier there. As he "fed," the pale man's voice rang through his new recruit's mind clearly. "You have been Chosen." He consumed power and life until Tyrod began to lose consciousness. It was then that he would tamper with his ability's limits. Xavier would tap into the potential that this man held . . . and he would use it in whatever way he deemed worthy. |
Blue eyes flash as she growls at him. “How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that. It’s irritating.” Shakingly, she turned and walked towards a pile of ash where a blue strip of fabric lay near it. She bent down and picked up the scarf. It seems death did not really affect her. Of course, she was used to it. She ran her bloody hand through her hair, not remembering it. The blood stuck, making some of her black locks look wet. “I really shouldn’t be used to that.” She muttered. She looked at the scarf in her clean hand, thankful that no blood got on it. “Where can I go?” She looks at him and laughs, an empty sounding thing. “I could easily disappear off this planet and nobody would know who I am. But what would it be worth?” She looks up at the sky, trying to calm the frantic beating of her heart. “Perhaps I’ll visit my parents. Not that they would really care even if I told them this crazy story.”
She walked closer to him, her sapphires looking him up and down. She stops in front of him as her gaze rests once more on his. And suddenly she smiled; a real, brief moment of looking normal. And it did look normal; she looked like an normal woman smiling at another person. Her voice didn’t crack or change. It sounded sincere. “Dante, you look better when your normal. You don’t have to hide in front of me.” She looks up to the sky again, the smile vanished to the recesses of her darker soul. “I’ll come back with you if I don’t have to deal with him. I think…I think I can work with it and find a way to control it. I felt that tonight. I just…” She looks back at him, her face neutral again. “I won’t let him touch me. I can’t.” She then shakes her head. “I suppose that means I can’t got back with you. I’ll just grab some of my things and find my parents, wherever they chose to be this week. Thank you for helping me, Dante. I do appreciate it.” |
Kaden watched Leon a bit worried and had the thought to get up and go after him. But who would watch Jill then? "Call if something happens okay?" he called to Leon and then sighed and looked down at Jill. "What have we gotten ourselves into?" he muttered and closed his multicolored eyes/

“I could easily disappear off this planet and nobody would know who I am. But what would it be worth?”
Dante's red eyes narrowed, and he was about to say something when Kyreian continued. The winged male merely tilted his head to listen to her . . . though he didn't look happy. Not until she mentioned his current state - wings, horns, strange markings and all. "Whenever I feel like wooing you, I'll keep my looks in mind." A slight smile appeared on his face to match the womans . . . and then they both let their stoic expressions return. "Just . . . don't disappear on me, Kyreian." Her choice had been made - she was going to be with her flighty parents, apparently. The tall male let his crimson eyes linger on her before letting a clawed hand trace over her cheek. "I won't let Xavier have you, but if it comes down to a last choice . . . I'd rather have him drain your power than watch you succumb to your own abilities." It had almost happened to him a few times - his powers were rather savage when it came to control. Dante went to Xavier to keep them down at a tolerable level (as he would have to do again soon) often. If he didn't, things were . . . difficult at best. He'd given in before, and terrible things happened while he was uncontrollable. He still had nightmares from those moments. Shuddering unnoticably, Dante leaned forward to kiss Kyreian's forehead. There was a strange burning sensation left on his lips when he pulled away - and, doubtless, she felt something on her skin as well. Perhaps physical contact between the two of them wasn't . . . a good idea. "I should go." Taking a slow step back, Dante watched Kyreian closely. "Be safe. Please." With a snap of his wings, the creature circled the area slowly before heading back to Xavier's home. It was time to return. - Leon nodded, but said nothing as he slid his way into the doorway. He wasn't going to be gone long - or so he thought. ((:XD I'll send him to Xavier as soon as Marsyas replies. That way I can have him interrupt . . . and perhaps Dante will intervene. >.>' Leon will need as much help as he can get.)) |
Kyreian watched him go, a hand on her forehead where his lips had touched her skin. She wanted him to come back and wanted to keep talking to him. He made her feel...better and not alone. Squeezing her eyes shot to keep tears at bay, she called herself stupid. She had wanted him to stop her, to actually hold her back. She squeezed her unbroken hand, gripping the scarf tight. It helped bring her back to the real world. Opening eyes of blue fire, she left the alley, trying not to look at the crumbling bits of dust.
She had called her fathers cell phone on her way home, her voice the perfect mask of normal. Turned out they were actually close by, at a base near the city. She had gotten to her apartment after the conversation ended; it had lasted maybe a couple minutes, enough for them to her where they were and she was welcome to come. Kyreian sighs as she stuffs most of her scarfs into her bag. She knew being there meant a lot of alone time to think and do her exercises. She even had an invite to do some of the workout sessions with her fathers troop. She would likely join them. She got her things back and her apartment squared away within an hour. She didn't have much, and wasn't taking much. She hefted the army bag over her shoulder, locked her door and went down the staircase. She grabbed a cab and was on her way, not looking back towards the city. Maybe I'll find something there that could ease my mind, she thought. Or maybe not. |
The hand that gripped his shoulder after he stood showed just how powerful Xavier was. Tyrod found he was unable to move. It was a bit unsettling but what was even more unnerving was when he suddenly snapped into his neck as if he were a vampire.
What the Hell!?! Naturally Ty placed a thin barrier around his body to nullify sudden impacts but his barrier did little to stop the attack on his throat. Within moments the young mutant could feel this burning sensation flowing through his veins and it was far from pleasant. The pain was excruciating and Ty soon found that the room around him was fading to a familiar blackness. Growing up in the slums, the rogue had taken his fair share of beatings often resulting in him losing consciousness for short periods but none of the pain he had taken up until now had prepared him for this. His muscles convulsed as his body begged for him to retreat away from the source of the pain but at this point it was far too late. With his veins on fire and his body going weak, the darkness enveloped him with little resistance. . . |
Dante hated leaving Kyreian so quickly, but there was something calling him. Xavier was summoning him - the feeling was too important to ignore. Glancing back to where he'd last seen the woman, the creature grit his teeth. I will be watching over you. He would see her again soon - that much was certain. He wasn't about to let this girl slip out of his sight.
Landing lightly on one of the many crumbling balconies, Dante arrived at the apartment. Xavier's presense wasn't the only thing he felt: the others were still there. He could smell them. Shifting into his human form, the male strode into the dark hallway. Musty air filled his nose, and the cold that seeped from the very walls made his silver eyes narrow. Xavier was . . . feeding. The scent of blood filled the air - and it drew Dante to the lowest rooms quickly. It was there that he witnessed Tyrod's weak form fall to the ground. Swallowing quietly, Dante moved inside the doorway and silently watched. There was nothing else he could do. Tyrod was deep in the throes of unconsciousness now - only Xavier would be able to rouse him. - Sensing Dante's presense, Xavier didn't lift his head. He knelt beside Tyrod's limp form, blood slowly drying on his pale face. "He will wake later," he whispered, his voice echoing about the room. He was finished. The barrier about Tyrod's powers had been removed . . . or, perhaps, just placed in a different spot. Xavier had manipulated the abilities into a different form. Irritation suddenly flit through his gaze, and the red-eyed male jerked his head up to glare at Dante. "Bring him to me." There was a brief moment of confustion before Dante realized that there was someone in the hall. Leon. - Taking a stumbling step back, Leon's gray eyes filled with determination. He wasn't going to let these demons take him. It was sickening to witness what had happened to Tyrod, and he wasn't going down without a fight. He'd found a weapon (from Dante's room, no less) earlier in his search, and he lifted it to aim at Xavier then. Slowly pulling the trigger, the soldier didn't flinch as the gunshot echoed through the building. - Jerking awake, Jill sat up suddenly. "What was that?" she asked worriedly. Looking to Kaden, the blonde weakly pushed herself away from him. "Where's that guy? Leon?" Not seeing him meant that he was mostly likely causing trouble again. It had only been a good fifteen minutes since Leon had left, but that seemed to be enough for some trouble. "Did he . . ." Staring at the door where Tyrod had gone, she shuddered. What was happening? |
Startled to hear the gun shot Kaden flinched as Jill pushed out of his arms. Getting up quickly he frowned and shook his head. "Follow me." he said and snapped his fingers, following the heat waves in the air that he made apparent. It was the heat left by Leon, they could follow that as long as Kaden was strong enough to hold the powers. He then saw Leon's back and grit his teeth. "Leon what's going on-" he started but his eyes widened seeing the man he had fought before and another.. Thing. Shocked he pushed Jill behind himself and clapped his hands making fire lick up his arms. This was getting slightly easier.... Sort of...

Kyreian stumbled over the last step up her parent’s porch. She was exhausted but she knew she had to keep her eyes open and her mind working for a little longer. Her parents were in there and they would have questions. They weren’t exactly a tight family as things go and she would never just visit. She had hardly gotten her hand working and up to knock when her father, still taller then her six feet, opened it and stepped aside for her to walk in. Which she did. He took her bag wordlessly as she dragged her feet into the living room. She was having a hard time keeping moving; her body wanted desperately to collapse.
Her mother was sitting on the couch, taking a sip of her tea. Elinoma Slomian turned to smile uncomfortably at her daughter but it died before it ever really began. A frown that was obviously not unknown to her dominated the older woman’s face. She got up and walked to her daughter. Forgoing the uncomfortable and awkward attempt at a hug, she instead took a hold of one of Kyreian’s arms and lead her upstairs to their spare bedroom. Her father, Markan, followed behind. Kyreain frowned, unsure as to what was going on. She had been expecting the normal interrogation, questions that needed to be answered. Instead, her mother sat her down on the bed. “You look like you just came from a battle, Kyrei.” Both parents knew what this looked like on their daughter. “Get some sleep, freshen up, and we’ll see you at dinner.” Her mothers voice was the usual, firm but soft. It was something that many men she taught shuddered at. She could be a right demon, as Kyreian could be. Literally sometimes, but nobody really knows about that, not even her daughter. “It’ll be at 7 o’clock sharp, as I’m sure you remember. Your father,” She glares at her husband as he had been about to speak. “will save his questions for later as well.” She awkwardly kisses her daughter on the forehead, grabs Markan by the upper arm and leads him from the room to leave a rather stunned daughter behind to rest. Kyreian frowned again. They must be getting old, she thought. She smiled a little at how funny that thought was and that it actually made her feel better to know there must be a reason for them to act as they did. Not dwelling on it too long and not bothering to change, she ripped off her shoes and lay down in the bed made with her old blanket. She smiled as she remembered some of her childhood hiding under the large cloth. Then she was asleep. ______________ She got through the interrogation without much hassle. They didn’t really want to know much, just make sure that she wasn’t in trouble or bringing it there. They didn’t press when she just said she needed to get away from the city for a while, be back on base life for a bit. Since then, it has been rather uneventful. Every morning she would get up with the sun, join in her mothers bootcamp group, keeping up with her mother better then any of the ‘boys’ were. It kept her in shape, and it kept her mind from grinding too much about Dante and the mutant things. Often, however, she would wonder how the unusual man was doing and if he was alright. She shuddered at the thought that that evil jackass of a man might bite Dante again. Sleep was never easy. At night, it was always the same darkness, the same disgusting dreams that plagued her since her powers manifested. Occasionally, it would differ in that a shape of someone would be just on the edge of her vision but when she turned to look, it would be gone. She always woke in a cold sweat. And always, she had a knife in her hand. Always, she thought that maybe, just maybe, she would find Dante there with her. Always, she would wish he was. The days went on like that, not changing in routine. Her parents let her be and she did the same for them. That was just what they did and how they were comfortable around each other. It surprised Kyreian though, that occasionally her mother would ask the simple question of “Are you okay?” And she wouldn’t push it after that, she wouldn’t ask any other question, even if Ky would say she’s not. It was peaceful and nice compared to what Kyreian had gotten used to. (…that was long…anyway, wasn’t sure what else to put, so I figured this would work for now ☺ Oh, names=> Elinoma (Ee-lee-no-mah) Markan (mark-kin)…just so you know.) |
Leon hadn't moved. He heard the movement of Jill and Kaden behind him, but his gaze stubbornly remained locked on Xavier's chest. He'd shot him. The man should be dead . . . bleeding, at least.
"Bring him to me." The soldier's hand darted down for his blade, bringing it up under the handgun just in case the other mutant got too close. He knew that Dante wasn't normal - it was obvious by the glowing eyes and rumbling growl that he gave off. It was a darting movement from the strange creature that made Leon's finger pull against the trigger again. Three shots rang out as Dante lunged forward, and not one of them missed their mark. Leon finally took a step back into the hallway. He narrowly avoided a clawed hand that lahsed where his head had been a few seconds prior. Dante's inhuman cry of pain made the soldier fall into his old ways: dodge and slash wherever possible. He was going to survive. - Xavier stood above an unconscious Tyrod with his red eyes narrowed. "Kill the fool if you must." He watched in tempered silence as the fight started. ((Jill just screamed something that shouldn't be heard from a lady and is watching while scrambling to find her gun . . . which she is having trouble getting ready. She doesn't want to shoot Leon, and Dante was supposed to be her friend. . . . wait. Doesn't Tyrod still have Jill's gun?)) |
Kaden watched for a few moments until he heard Xavier's words again. "Not on my watch." he growled and pressed his hands against the wall savagely after clapping them together. A pipe savagely turned into a spike where Dante was and Kaden felt the affects of the use of the power to well. "Leon move now! We need to get out of here!" he snapped angerily and wrapped an arm around Jill, ready to move, but he wouldn't until Leon came as well.
|
Leon stepped back . . . only to find that his knee wasn't strong enough to support him. Tumbling back, he hit the wall behind him with a muffled grunt. The pipe that lashed out at Dante was the only thing that saved his life. Delayed, Dante couldn't strike any further.
With his gray eyes darting to Kaden, Leon smiled grimly in thanks before using the wall to support himself. Firing the last of his clip into Dante's chest, he stumbled toward his friends. "Stairs to the left," he gasped, nodding in that direction. He didn't have any more bullets - he didn't know how many rounds were in the weapon, considering it was Dante's in the first place. Shoving the gun into his back pocket, he waved to the others as he went for the stairs. With surprising speed he made his way down. They needed to get out of there. This was a nightmare that none of them had asked for. - Jill felt Kaden's arm wrap around her waist and she cried out. Nearly pushing him away, she ended up letting him pull her with him. The use of the male's powers left Dante impaled against the doorframe, and Leon was leading them to the exit of the apartment building. The blonde girl suddenly shook herself free of shock, and grasped Kaden's hand in hers. Unsure of what to do, she merely grit her teeth and pulled. "Come on!" There was no way she was staying with these freaks. As they went down the stairs she merely gave Leon the extra push he needed to reach the bottom. The three of them made it to the entrance of the apartment building and away from the desolate and destroyed building. "My place," Jill spat, pointing forward. "We can get to it down that road. We have to get away from that . . . thing before it comes after us." Leon didn't object - he merely allowed Jill to loop his arm around her shoulders so he could walk. The blonde woman glanced to Kaden and motioned him to follow . . . and took his arm to wrap it about her waist. "I guess it's the three of us now, huh?" She took Leon's breathless chuckle to mean she was right. "We can rest up at my house. It isn't big, but we can fit just fine." - Dante's inhuman cry of pain echoed through the building as Kaden's powers interfered. The sharpened pipe suddenly shot out of nowhere, pinning him to the opposite side of the doorframe he was just passing through. Fangs grit together, the creature's glowing eyes flared with pain and rage. He couldn't move. Unable to do anything but watch as Leon lifted the gun Dante snarled a challenge that only the man could hear. "End me. Please." He was disappointed. Leon fired for his chest - he felt the bullets ripping into him. It was pain beyond anything he'd ever felt - save Xavier's bite. Blood pooled about his feet as Dante struggled to breathe. He was choking - drowning - in his own blood. The pipe stabbed through the right side of his chest while the shots had struck through his middle. Four holes now decorated his black shirt, the liquid darkening it as blood warmed his flesh. Is this it? Dante's fading vision flickered after the trio as they stumbled down the hallway. Blood dripped from his lips as the tall male coughed. Is this how I die? Weakly grabbing at the pipe that pinned him, Dante writhed in agony. Xavier shook his head. "You failed me, Dante. After everything I've done for you. . . ." The unnaturally tall man stepped toward Dante, eying his wounds critically. "You will bring them to me. I will not allow you to fail so quickly." Dante could hardly hear his master - fighting to keep breathing, his grip about the pipe tightened. "Free . . . me." Coughing again, he convulsed in pain. "End . . . this." Xavier merely narrowed his eyes, turning away from the bleeding creature. Instead he looked down to Tyrod, his red eyes filling with a strange expression. "It is time for you to waken, Tyrod. You have been freed." ((Hehe, I'll bring Kyreian into this again soon. I'm going to send Xavier after everyone. *evil laugh*)) |
((poor Dante! ))
Kaden watched as the pipe did the job. Nodding he quickly followed Leon down the stairs while pulling Jill along. Once they were free of the apartment building he nodded and then kept his arm around Jill's waist as she placed it there. "Yes you would be right." he said and then realized something that he should have a long rime ago. "Leon, once we get there I will fix your leg." Kaden said as he already began calculating in his head the medical supplies make -up and the energy that he could convert in Leon's system to make him heal faster. It would work. Hopefully. "Once we're all patched up I think we will be a force to be reconded with." he said trying to lighten the mood a bit more. |
(( Apparently I was particularly emo when I wrote that . . . ugh. I am such a drama queen! Poor Dante . . . the victim of my drama. *pats head*
Dante: T^T <-- the hot guy is always the victim)) Smiling his thanks, Leon kept his pace even with Jill's as he leaned on her. "You do so much . . . thank you." His gray eyes followed the street they were on before he spoke again. "You've done well. Gotten out of all that . . . it's a wonder you're still walking." His humorless chuckle made Jill smile. "Funny how we all end up together. I didn't think it would get this comfortable." He was still being chased . . . but he wasn't about to bring that up so soon. As they neared living people Leon seemed to get a bit squeemish. Perhaps it was something about the way they looked, but the soldier almost seemed wary of other people. He didn't fight as they walked into Jill's neighborhood, but he certainly looked uneasy. It was through habit that he sought an escape route - they might need one later. Wherever Leon tended to go, trouble and zombies usually followed. - Jill smiled a bit. As they limped along, looking a bit like they had just escaped a prison fight, the woman couldn't help but laugh. The few people that looked their way didn't do a thing other than quicken their step. Maybe that was for the better. They didn't want to get involved in all this crud. She listened as the guys talked a bit, but kept herself quiet. She knew what kind of talk it was - hope. It felt good to have some . . . and some friends. They got to the end of the street, went down a few alleys, and eventually came to a small house crammed in with a line of others. Cookie-cutter in shape and layout, it was an exact match to the one across from it. "Key's under the mat," she said, passing Leon off to Kaden. She knelt to snag it and swiftly got the door open. The smell of gun oil flit from the room, and she smiled apologetically. "I wasn't expecting guests. It's a disaster in here." Jill ushered them in, leading them toward the living room . . . which was full of tables. Guns of every shape and build were everywhere. Some of them were certainly not legal. "I'll get some water. I'm dying of thirst." She zipped into the next room, dropping the key into her pocket as she did so. "I can get you two some fresh clothes soon. I'll stop by Eddie's place on the way to the store. I'm out of pretty much everything . . . I've lived off of Cheetos and Ramen for a good week now." - |
Kyreian shuddered in her sleep and rolled over to her other side. Sweat was boring from her skin as it always did. This particular nightmare, however, was one she never wanted to see, and hoped would never see again.
It was all darkness, painful screams echoing everywhere, images of horrible things only tempered by her experience in the army, and the light. She slowly walked towards it. But it wasn't light. It was just a lighter version of the darkness. The man there seemed to glow with red light, and pain. She got closer and jolted to a stop, blue eyes suddenly beginning to turn black in the dark. What she saw was Dante, bleeding and in pain. She fell to her knees beside him, long black hair falling over her dream shoulders. A pale hand reached forward but hesitated. She couldn't touch him. What if he wasn't real? Ky shuddered. I'm becoming dependent, she thought. "End...this." Kyreian jerked at this, eyes now almost fully black. She never wanted to hear him say that again. Without thinking about what she would feel afterwards, because it is a dream (right?), she reached a hand to him and put it on his cheek, gently stroking her thumb across the skin. Even though it wasn't real, she whispered softly through the surrounding screams, "It's okay, Dante. It'll be okay." Ky woke with a start, her dream shattered with a knock on the door. Her skin was clammy and she was shaking. It couldn't have been real but she felt as though Dante had actually been there in that retched darkness. Tears sprang to her eyes. She couldn't do this. She wished for the first time in her life that she could talk to the two other people in this house. |
Kaden supported Leon as they got close and then set him on the couch. "This is going to hurt, I have to put it back inplace." he said and then after unwraping it he looked up at Leon. "please don't scream." he said and then smacked his knee into place. Then muttering under his breath he then began to heal most of Leon's leg. Sitting back his head spun as he looked up at Leon. "Just dont walk on it for awail." he said and tried to stand but stumbled and fell, knocking over a few guns trying to catch himself.

((T^T Wow. Drama. Gah. *sniffle*))
Dante could have sworn he saw something out of the corner of his eye. Watching in pained silence as Xavier turned to Tyrod, the male coughed up more dark liquid. Then his attention began to drift. Vision blurring further, the creature was about to repeat his request for an end when something changed. A cool touch on his cheek, a familiar voice whispering to him; something was there on the edge of consciousness. "It's okay, Dante. It'll be okay." Ky? A slight furrow of his brow was the best that Dante could manage. Clawed hand moving up to his own cheek, the male found nothing there. He must be dying. That was just a phantom of thought . . . or an angel. It couldn't have been Kyreian. That just didn't happen. As darkness consumed Dante, he couldn't pull his thoughts away from that ghostly moment: had there been someone there? Or was it just a delusion of death? ((Gah, Dante isn't going to die. :squee: He lives! Xavier wouldn't let his most experienced Chosen die off so easily. :XD)) - Leon fought against the pain as Kaden fixed his knee. The soldier nearly bit his own tongue to keep himself from uttering a sound . . . but it worked. His fist was sore by the time his leg was reset and healing. When the blond man looked up at him, Leon nodded his thanks. He was still recovering his breath so as not to pass out when Kaden stumbled back. He couldn't do a thing to help. Luckily Jill had just entered the room. She had set a few glasses of water on the table near the guns, and was just about to leave when Kaden faltered. She attempted to catch him, managing to keep him on his feet. The weapons that hit the ground were . . . rather valuable. The woman grimaced, but didn't move to pick them up. "The two of you need sleep and good food." Jill firmly led Kaden to the smaller couch on the other side of the room. "Sleep. I'll come back with food and clothes for you two." Pressing Kaden down to lie still, she frowned and snatched his glasses off his face. Setting them on the windowsill beside them, she smiled a bit. "I'll be back in a half hour. Think you two can manage until then?" She caught Leon nodding out of the corner of her eye, but kept the brown orbs locked on Kaden. |
Kaden gasped as Jill caugh him and looked at her sheepishly, a blush glowing on his cheeks. He allowed her to press him to the couch but then tried stealing his glasses from her grasp, but failed since his body was in shut down mode. He was about to say something but his eyes fluttered closed and his body went limp. His face relaxed, making him look like he actually was a teenager, and not as old as the other two.

Tyrod's eyes opened slowly as he tried to piece together where he was and what was going on. All he had known was the sound of Xavier's voice as he awoke to an injured Dante. Was that a command? It was and Ty was pretty sure his own life was at the mercy of the daunting Xavier.
Standing up and facing Dante, Tyrod felt his newfound powers surging through his body. It was almost as if a wall had been removed, or the ceiling of a roof had been taken off to expose a beautiful blue sky. A crooked grin crept on his face as he stretched out his rejuvinated and revitalized limbs, and faded as soon as he looked back up at the man who had practically saved his and Jill's lives. He stared at the man for a brief moment expressionless before he spoke up, "Looks like I have orders from the boss. It's nothing personal..." As soon as he finished speaking, his eyes flahed white briefly in sequence with a jabbing motion, and a powerful surge of force crushed into the white haired male's face. Then the street rat continued the attacks repeatedly, either until he was dead or until he was commanded to stop. Forgive me Dante. If I obey, I grow strong. If I disobey, I die. My life life is that simple. . . |
It was a few minutes later when Xaver's hand rested on Tyrod's shoulder. "Good," he hissed. Seeing how easily he turned on the man who'd brought him into the room seemed to please the tall man.
Dante met Tyrod's gaze with unfocused eyes, but he seemed to understand. I know. He wasn't surprised when the new Elite struck out viciously. The first strike drew pain from his entire form - this youth was strong. He hadn't known anyone with that much power behind a mere blow . . . though perhaps that was because he was still pinned by the pipe. He wasn't given much room to react. The first few blows were knocked aside a bit; deflected. From then on, Dante knew it would be easier to just let it all play out. Moving his arms up to defend himself was more painful than the attacks themselves. When he saw Xavier stop Tyrod, Dante merely let his head hit the wood behind him. Such is the way of an Elite. Xavier inclined his head. "Your room is just across the hallway," he said. The ghost of a smile flit over his features before he reached out to Dante. His clawed hand touched the pipe and it withdrew back to where it came from. Dante was allowed to fall forward, unable to catch himself. "I will deal with him. Familiarize yourself with your room and the building." The dismissal was swift, and he turned his attention to Dante as the male's breathing seemed to slow (if not halt completely). Xavier blinked his red eyes slowly as the wounded creature lifted into the air surrounded by shadow, hovering as the stronger mutant inspected his bloody form. Nothing he couldn't fix. The wisps of darkness pulled Dante to lay on the floor before Xavier knelt over him. His hands passed over wounds and they sealed with alarming speed, drawing a hiss of pain from Dante. The male coughed loudly, convulsing as Xavier's power coursed through him to ensure he was completely healed on the inside as well as out. When the master stood and turned away, he dropped a series of bullets to the ground beside him. "Your failure will not be forgotten, Dante." He left the recovering mutant behind, suddenly fading into the shadows that consumed him. - Jill left the house after changing her destroyed clothes. The blonde had jumped in the shower to get the blood out of her hair, but other than that she was moving faster than ever. She headed to the gun shop to speak with a few of the boys before getting one of them (her oldest friend) to give her a special allowance: the older man would allow her to borrow his sons clothing without any questions. "I promise I'll get your baby fixed up soon," she called over her shoulder with a grin. The "baby" was a heavily modified hunting rifle that she'd been working on for a long while now, but hadn't had the time to finish. Jill headed back home with a bag full of clothes over her shoulder. By the time she stepped into the living room the guys were sleeping - she'd taken about half an hour. Setting the bag down, she dumped it all out before going through it. She had a washer and drying near the back of the house, so Kaden and Leon would be able to wash their clothing as soon as they changed. Finding a few loose t-shirts and pairs of pants, Jill first moved to Leon. The soldier woke with a start, but Jill refused to be scared by his defensive attitude. She conned him into leaning on her as she guided him to the bathroom. Starting the shower for him, she shut him in there with his new pair of clothes. He didn't fight her on it - he was ready to clean himself up. Jill moved toward Kaden, watching his sleeping features with a smile. Instead of waking him, the blonde moved to the nearest table. She was going to work on "the baby" until Leon was finished, and then she would wake Kaden. |
KAden slowly awoke as he slightly heard Jill doing something or other. He assumed she was fixing up a gun by the sound of it. Blinking painfully he looked up at the bright light above him. Shaking his head he groaned and slowly sat up, gasping softly as his wound reopened. Lifting the bottom of his torn shirt he growled and cursed under his breath seeing the blood slowly seeping threw the makeshift bandages that Jill had fashioned. "Is there anything I can do for this damned thing?" he muttered crossly. He didn't want to be a burden, but he couldn't heal himself, not like he had healed Leon. It was healing as fast as it could, but with every movement it reopened. This wasn't good.

Jill heard Kaden mutter something. Looking up, she lifted the magnifying goggles away from her eyes. Looking the part of a semi-mad scientist, the blonde wiped a smear of gun oil off of her nose (and making it worse in the process). She swiftly moved to the man's side, looking at him with worry in her brown eyes. "Think we can stitch it?" she asked slowly, meeting his gaze. She hated to think that he was suffering because they couldn't get to the hospital.
Pulling off her thin leather work gloves, Jill tossed them onto the table before taking a cup of water from the windowsill. Offering it to Kaden she smiled a bit. "We can try super glue, if you think that would be better." |
Nodding KAden looked up and took the water from Jill. "I would think stiching it would be best." he said logically and then nodded again after finishing the water. Setting the cup down with a wince he then pulled his shirt off, surprised as he looked at himself. He had been working on getting muscular, but he hadn't been this musclar. He was lean muscle now. sighing heavily he then mentaly slapped himself in the head. You idiot.. That's why you could last so long physically against those freaks.... He was surprised he hadn't noticed before.
