Brigid Harper quickly ran to her small apartment. She had just gotten out of her Chemistry class and wanted to get home . Things were odd today on campus . She couldn't quite place what was wrong. "Somethings not right today . What's going on ?I come here to London to study and things are not what I expected. " She sighed and kept moving . She had to get home. She had heard the rumors from her peers today that aliens were behind what's been happening lately. She thought so too. Brigid stopped for a moment to catch her breath and shift the backpack on her shoulder to both of them. Something was watching her. She could feel it. What was it ?
(Hope this is long enough.)

The TARDIS hurtled through space and time. The Doctor ran around the ship attempting to get it back in shape before it crash landed. "No, no, no, no, no!" frustrated huffs came out of his lungs. The man shifted a few levers and then kicked the bottom of the control panel. The TARDIS landed safely in a small patch of woods just behind a group of apartment homes. The doctor took a deep breath, glad that he landed safely, and opened the doors. He stepped into the woods, snapping his fingers to close the doors behind him.

Magician Girl Mirani 05-16-2011 10:01 AM

Why had he come back here? Back to this stupid little blue planet? More importantly why had he come back to the UK so soon? He knew it had been a bad idea but something had drawn him back, something that tugged at his very esense, telling him that he needed to be there. Normally he'd ignore this feeling, ignore it and continue to wollow in his missery at losing Ianto, but ever since Ianto had been...ever since the 456 he'd started to actually listen to that feeling a little more. Maybe if he had then Ianto wouldn't have been...No, don't think about it. That was in the past and there was nothing he could do to change it so thinking otherwise was just going to hurt more. He should know, thinking about that had been practically the only thing he'd done for the last few years.
Jack sighed, staring down at his drink, half disgusted with himself and half hoping that it would be strong enough to actually last for a decent amount of time before he sobered up. Not likely though. Most alcohol was out of his system in five-ten minutes tops. If it wasn't for his stupid immortality...No, he was not going down that road again!
Finally Jack had had enough. He stood up, placed some money on the table to pay for the drink, not really looking to see how much he'd put down, and walked out the door. His blue greatcoat whipped around him slightly in the small breeze as he walked and he knew he must look slightly out of place with the dark blue wool garment and his slightly old fashioned clothes but he honestly couldn't care. This was waht he was comfortable in and he didn't care what the 21st century thought about it.

Brigid had heard an odd sound coming form the woods. It was a different sound like she had never heard before. She was near her apartment complex and was walking. She wondered if she should go toward the sound. She walked toward the woods against her better judgement . Brigid was interested in this sort of things since she was a child. Grandma Jane had told her stories of aliens on Earth. She had listened with awe as her grandma had told her stories of the things Jane had done as a young woman. Lily Tracy-Harper was from England and had moved to Boston because of a job and had met Brigid's dad . Jane moved in when with them because of an illness and had passed away a few years. Brigid promised her grandmother to continue to find the truth about aliens. She entered the woods hoping this was a good idea.

Almost to a clearing that showed forms of shelter and bustled with the noise of life, the Doctor smiled and turned back behind him to take one last glance at where he was leaving his only method of transportation. Not knowing that a young girl was walking into the woods to investigate the sounds his TARDIS made, the timelord accidentally bumped into the girl. Quickly turning his head back to look at the one he just ran into, he took a deep breath and uttered, "I do apologize. Um, are you ok?"

hillary84 05-18-2011 03:42 AM

Brigid was knocked over by a man about 30ish. What he was doing in the woods she didn't know. "I think so . I'm sorry I ran into you. I wasn't paying much attention really. I was following a noise here in the woods. Did you hear it too? " She sat up and looked at him. Why was he here? Did he have something to do with that noise? She wasn't too sure about him for some reason. He seemed different.

Manseutus 05-18-2011 04:53 AM

The Master had been hiding away in a small town just outside London for years. He was not sure why he remembered being pulled into the Time Lock with the rest of the Time Lords when he clearly was still outside it. To his best guess he was somehow fully recreated by that machine while he still had his dieing form in the mansion. However he felt reinvigorated and a strange connection to something he had thought lost long ago. He would now begin his search for his final TARDIS. However even with his current body as being as if it were new and the connection to his TARDIS restored he still felt off but could not fully place his finger on it.

Magician Girl Mirani 05-18-2011 10:46 AM

As Jack walked about for a while, not really having any true destination in mind he thought he heard something. He paused near a block of appartments and listened carefully. It was then that the spacetime ripples hit. He gasped slightly as he felt the time energy flood his system. He knew that feeling, knew it all too well.
The TARDIS was here and if it was here then The Doctor wasn't far away.
He didn't know whether he should be grateful, excited at taht idea or worried and aprehensive. How would The Doctor react to what had happened? Did he know? Did he know about the children, about his team, about Ianto?
No, don't think about that right now. Even if The Doctor was only here for a little while he'd still like to see his old friend. At least The Doctor could help him answer one question, a question he'd always had at the back of his mind but had sprouted roots and taken hold when Ianto had died. What did you do when all those around you, all you cared about, die and leave you alone?
Jack altered his course and began to make his way into the woods, following the familiar energy of teh TARDIS. And they said he caused ripples in time? Then again this was a TARDIS so...it didn't really matter anyway. At least it was easy to track.

TearRose 05-19-2011 03:24 AM

"A sound?" the Doctor asked and then glanced behind him for a brief moment thinking of something to say. "Ah yes! the sound that came from my phone, see?" The man pulled out a cell phone and showed it to the young girl. "It comes with strange ring tones," he stated and smiled. "Anyway, i'll be on my way. i need some tea.... yes... tea," the Doctor thought about his drink choice for a brief second and then smiled at the girl one last time before he started to walk away from the woods and towards the street.

hillary84 05-19-2011 06:59 PM

Brigid gave the man a strange look. It couldn't be a phone. She got up off the ground and watched him walk away and mentioning something about tea. She wasn't sure to follow him or continue toward the source of the noise. Who was he? Should she follow him? She would wait a little while before she did. She would just go home and wait till later to check things out.

Manseutus 05-24-2011 01:25 AM

The master concentrated for awhile focusing his mind on his Tardis. After a few minutes he had found its location on Earth and in time. It was in some building belonging to an organization calling it self Torchwood.

Good thing I kept a few of these Chrono rings just in case. Although with Gallifrey gone they are mere one use trinkets now. He pulled out a small silver ring from his pocket and pondered it a moment. "Well using it now would make it easier to ruin the Doctor. After all having my TARDISback would complete me after all."

He put the ring over his index finger and turned it thrice focusing he thoughts on the proper time period. It was not to much longer before a flash appeared around him leaving not a trace of the master or any disturbance for that matter.

The Master soon found himself standing in the middle of Dehli India in the year of 1923. This would be one year before Jack Harkness had shut this branch of Torchwood down. He made his way down the streets trying to find the building that his TARDIS called to him from. When he found it at last he merely walked up to it and addressed the guard who tried to stop him.

"I am here for the return of a machine that belongs to me. I do hope you are willing to help me find it" as he said this he focused on the mans eyes or a brief moment before walking past leisurely. How he loved being a timelord and having the ability to bend simple minded fools to his will. He managed to make his way through the building ignoring much of the Alien artefacts and coming across little resistance before coming across his beloved TARDIS.

"Hmph.. figures this would be the one I have left... Looks like the Doctor's. I suppose it will have to.. Ahh now this could work to my advantage."

He snapped his fingers smiling as the Tardis opened and stepped into. However it would seem that the Master was not in fact prepared for everything for he was followed quietly by a small team.

"Stop right there."

The team raised their weapons and took aim as the Master turned around and held his hands up a smile on his face. He began to laugh as he looked upon them.

"What and let you keep me away from My TARDIS? You honestly think your pathetic human weapons can stop me from taking it?" He then began to reach into his inside jacket pocket for his laser screwdriver. "I shall have to show you all what a real weapon is"

However before he could finish pulling it out they opened fire many shots actually landing close to where the human heart is and penetrating his first heart. As he fell the TARDIS closed its doors and began to leave its position as the Master began his regeneration.

The Master regained conciseness as his TARDIS rushed blindly through Time restructuring itself on the inside. He stood up and paced around as its repairs neared completion.

If I were to gather the companions of the Doctor under the pretense that I was him. I could use them to destroy him.. TO do that though I would need to build myself a Sonic Screwdriver.. It would only need to do a few of the things his does and the rest could better suit me as a weapon. He input commands into his TARDIS to travel to One of the Companions of the doctor as he set to work on the designs for his new screwdriver that would be a combination of the Doctor's sonic and His Laser screwdrivers.

The first choice his TARDIS made was that of Jack Harkness and it rushed itself towards the forest that the Doctor had landed his own. This of course was unknown to the Master for as the TARDIS finished its landing he was a distance away from The Doctor's. Maybe if the trees were not there He would have seen his rivals transport but he did not as he looked around the forest. Tapping his new screwdriver against his open palm he walked around his TARDIS and smiled. Surely the companion was nearby he would just have to wait a moment or so.

hillary84 05-24-2011 01:45 AM

Brigid heard a similar sound to the one she heard before . She opted to go to her apartment first and drop these heavy books off. She raced to her door and unlocked it. She shut the door and dropped her bag. She grabbed a jacket and went out again. As she was locking the door ,she had doubts. Should she check that sound out ? She was hungry and thought it could wait until she got some food. Maybe if she saw that strange man again she could ask him about the sound. It wasn't a phone , not if she heard it again. What was it?

TearRose 05-24-2011 04:47 AM

The Doctor walked down the street looking for a tea shop. once he found one, he stopped outside the door and dug into his pockets in search for some money. A sigh escaped his lips when the search ended with nothing. "must have left it in my other pants," he said quietly to himself.
The doctor stuck his hands in his pockets and walked down the street not entirely sure what he should do now. The thought of going back to his TARDIS for money crossed his mind but he really wasn't in the mood any longer.

Manseutus 05-24-2011 05:02 AM

The master growing tired of waiting started to walk to where he figured the nearest buildings would be. As he walked he would occasionally take the screwdriver out of his pocket and thump it against his side 4 times in rhythm matching the drums he still hears in his head. He smiled as he began to see buildings through the trees but still a few minutes walk away.

Magician Girl Mirani 05-24-2011 09:24 PM

As Jack continued to walk down the street he caught sight of a wooded area. It appeared to be just behind the block of appartments he was walking in front of. He debated for a moment before angling himself towards the trees. It seemed as good a place as any to search for a time lord. Plus he was sure he had sensed something. He was sure that it was the TARDIS. He was used to taht feeling of temporel displacement. He'd hitched a ride on a TARDIS that traveled to the end of the universe to try and get away from him after all, but something felt...different about it. He thought for a moment before dismissing it. Maybe the Doctor had regenerated since he'd last seen the Time Lord. That might explain it.

He wondered what he would look like now and what his personality would be. It was slightly different in every incarnation after all. He remembered the first time he'd met The Doctor in his ninth incarnation (or so he'd been told) and he remembered that that particular personality had a habbit of glaring. That glare could have frozen magma. The next one, the tenth, had been...different. He'd had a bolder personality and, at times, it appeared that he had about as much tact as a teaspoon. Still it had been amusing.

He was getting closer to the TARDIS. He was about two minutes away from the Appartments now and he was quite sure that he could sense someone else nearby. He closed his eyes, trying to pinpoint exactly where it was but he couldn't quite do it. A perception filter maybe? Something to block the individual being placed exactly? That could be. He changed course again slightly so he would intercept with the other person, hoping that it was The Doctor. He wanted to talk to the Time Lord about Torchwood and Ianto.

hillary84 05-25-2011 02:20 AM

Brigid got some soup and a cup of tea. She was hungry since she missed lunch. She had an odd feeling just now. What it was she couldn't identify. She wanted to see where that sound was. She ate her dinner quickly and headed toward the woods near where she lived. She hoped she wouldn't get lost. That was the last thing she wanted. She kept going hoping to find the source of that sound.

((OOC thread! link))

((and my brain isn't working..... keep posting!!!! something will come to it! XD ))

hillary84 05-25-2011 07:18 PM

Brigid kept walking through the woods. She thought she had seen that tree more than once. She had gotten lost. She turned left and went for a ways. She thought she saw someone walking in the distance. Maybe she could ask them for directions. "Excuse me sir!" She yelled. " I seem to have lost my way . Could you please help me get back to the road? "She waved her arm hoping he would see her.

Manseutus 05-26-2011 04:40 AM

The master stopped moving as he heard an unfamiliar female voice. Many thoughts flowed through his head before he turned towards the voice smiling.

"Yes I can help you get back to the road with ease. I'm the Doctor and you are?"

He moved towards her in a somewhat formal manner while being a bit casual in his demeanor. To him this was an extra perk to coming here for a previous companion of the Doctor's but now he could pick one up of his own further adding to his fallacy.

hillary84 05-26-2011 06:34 PM

"I'm Brigid Harper." She offered her hand in greeting. She got the same feeling from this man who called himself "The Doctor" as she did the first man. "Thank you so much. I should know better than to walk in unfamiliar woods, but I heard a strange sound twice coming from here. I met another man here about 30 minutes ago and he said it was his phone. But I heard it again so I thought I would check it out. Shows how smart I am getting lost here in the woods." She liked to walk in the woods back home that was near Boston ,but she was more familiar with those and always stayed on the trails. It was getting dark. Once she got to the road she would head home. Why did she get an odd feeling from this man? It was similar but some what different than the first person she met here today.

Magician Girl Mirani 05-26-2011 09:04 PM

Jack continued to walk through the woods, keeping all his senses wide open. He automatically shifted his stance as he moved through the foliage, unconciously making his tred as light as possible and his movements as fluid and flexible as possible to avoid brushing against low hanging branches and creating unnecessary noise. It was a leftover trait of being a time agent and although he hadn't been a member of that particular agency for more than a hundred and fifty years it didn't mean the training didn't stick with him. As much as he hated them for taking away two of his years of memory and he would never trust them again (especially after the whole thing with John Hart), he had to admit that they did train their agents well. It was how he'd managed to hide out so well without being detected before he'd met The Doctor.

Speaking of...he was sure he could feel the presense of a time lord near by. There was a distinctive feel to them. It was something that he'd noticed he could pick up ever since he was cursed with his inability to die. He thought that maybe it had something to do with spacetime and how the Time Lords interacted with it but he was never quite sure. He wasn't an expert on the subject after all.

He paused suddenly, remaining completely still as he heard voices. He closed his eyes, focusing his ears completely on the conversation but still making sure that his other senses were atuned to what was going on around him...it was a male and female...female sounded quite young and...

A grin spread accross his face as he listened to the other voice. The Doctor! It sounded like he had a different voice and that meant a different face. He wondered what the time lord would look like this time? Barely containing his excitement Jack began to make his way towards the voices at a slightly quicker pace than before but no less cautiously. All his time at Torchwood had taught him to be steathy and he didn't want to lose that even though he was extremely excited to see The Doctor. He wondered how long it had been for the other time lord and how many other companions he'd had. He'd need to ask when he saw the time traveler.

Manseutus 05-27-2011 04:09 AM

"Ah well I am partially to blame for the strange noise. Maybe I can explain it to you later maybe after we get you back home then?"

The Master smiled as he conversed with the girl doing his best to be friendly while trying to maintain her attention on him for now. His face then changed to one of shock as if he had just registered everything she had said.

"You said another man came by saying it was his cell phone? Do you think you can describe him to me? Just what he looks like that is. Actually that may be a conversation better held in private no telling what is lurking in the woods at this time of day" He then began to slowly lead the girl out of the forest hoping that he would find the companion his TARDIS sensed.

This girl can not possibly be the one it sought out.. He has not met her yet as far as I know.. well unless you count the 30 minutes before my arrival. Curse these drums.. Never ceasing never stopping!
