Gemini stood back with Diva, waiting.this was customary and considered polite, even when addressing another species.

"Muk Luk, come over here, i have some friends i want you two to meet" Balto said with a yell and a laugh. the two bears where always so happy and bumded up on energy

The two polar bears neared the female wolves and looked them over, neither one saying a word until Balto introduced them to the ladies.

Gemini waited to be introduced, trying to keep a grin off her face.

"Boys this is Diva my little sister and this young woman over here is gemini. they are my new friends and family. say helo " balto spoke with a smile. he loved that he had a little sister and like having gemini around as well

In an instant the large of the two brothers scooped all three dogs up into his arms and he hugged them snugly. For a fat bear he had amazing speed. The embrace choked Diva who was taken by surprise and she began to struggle against his power. Muck realised that his hug was perhaps a little stronger then he'd intended and he released the small wolf pack.

"Hello Ms. Gemini, Ms. Diva. A friend of Balto's is a friend of our. Right Muck??" Luck said as he elbowed his brother in the belly.

"Hmmm mmhmmmm mmm." The oafish bear agreed with the smaller bear.

"A pleasure." Diva said bowing her head to the white bears after she shook her coat back into it's natural falling state. She stood next to her brother, waiting for orders to continue on their way.

"relax muk relax" balto said as he pushed his way from the big polar bear. " what are you two doing out here?" he asked

Gemini barely had time to yelp in surprise as the larger bear scooped them up.when he let them go, Gemini took a deep breath and shook herself, getting her fur back in place and bringing back her senses."it is wonderful to meet you." She said.

"Where headed out to find Ms. Gemini's puppy. your more than welcome to come along. But we must hurry, as to not waste time" balto said as he started moving forward

"Oh what luck!" Luck said to his older brother after elbowing him in the large gut. "We were just saying how we've grown so bored with doing nothing. We'd love to join you!"

"Mmmm mmm mmm mmmmm." Muck agreed nodding his head at a rapid pace.

balto smiled at the young bears "lets move on"

Diva nodded and fallowed behind her brother. She looked around her at all the trees and wondered how many she'd seen just like them on her journey thus far. Evergreen needled trees with the occational oak, elm or birch painted the snowy ground and gave the Alaskan land scape an aged look.

Gemini started to lead again, following a trail that was difficult to understand.Gemini checked several trees along the way, seeming to be look for something."I marked the trees by scratching the bark so I could find my way in case I came back." She explained after one such occasion."its such a long way, we're not even close to my packs old territory.and once we're in it, the territory itself is huge." She said.it would be a long trek.

Balto smiled at the trick she was using. which made him laugh out loud. " I used that when we where racing to save nome" Balto said still laughing

Gemini looked up in surprise."really? Well it is a useful trick." She said, and moved on."about three miles until we reach pack territory.im not sure what we'll find there, with no one protecting it." She said.

"Im hoping not another pack, but the percent of that would be higly unlikely"

Gemini nodded."true." She said, and kept walking.

"what ws the last thing going on in the area? any fighting with other packs" balto asked trying to keep the conversaion going

Diva was growing uneasy with all the talk of packs. She'd never really been in a pack before and when she was, she was to young to really remember much from it. Behind her Muck and Luck where tossing snow balls at each other as they often did and weren't paying any attention to the conversation between the two wolves.

Gemini shook her head."our pack was large.others didn't risk fighting with us.things were peaceful.then other packs started leaving.only we were left.and when my pack left...there were several lone wolves from each pack left behind.none of us has left our own territories, because none of us want to fight and get hurt.but we each defend our borders fiercely. If one of our territories were to become empty- especially the largest one- I would not be at all surprised if the others tried to move in on it." She said.

Balto thought about this for a long time, he was thinking of Aloe and wondering how she was fairing. how the other packs where doing as the land they have know all there life changed apon them

After a while, Gemini stopped to sniff the air.the scratches on the trees had become less frequent, and now there were none at all."we're in pack territory now.about a mile more to the den I shared with my mate and pup." She said, voice slightly wistful.

Balto looked around, his memory bring back the time he was hear with Aloe. "This place has changed so much in the little time that i was last here" he said in a low voice. he was on gaurd

Diva scanned the area in awe. She wasn't awear that packs could own such a large piece of land.

"Brother, the others... are they not going to like an outsider like me? At least they know you two, what if they attack because of me?" She was nervous to say the least. She'd never really encountered many other wolves in her life and to know she was walking into a territory she knew nothing about, but knew was full of strong fighter gave her the fear of ambush.

Muck and Luck took a strid behind Balto as they'd done many times before. They knew they were polar bears, but they lived as though they were part of Balto's pack.

"Everything will be okay dont worry Diva" balto confurted his little sister. if there was a problem he would handle it and ask the bears to run with the girls but he was hopping things didnt come to that "Let check out your cave Gemini"
