Lucia shook her head and swerved left.
It's not what's coming behind that I'm worried about. She thought seeing the mountain range come into veiw that bordered Cosmo Canyon.
It's what lies ahead....I've always been able to face my past..but it's the Future that scares me.

The two topped the hill that overlooked their destination and Lucia turned back.
"Huh? No, I didn't say anything, but look there it is!!" She leaned over the handlebars and gaped. There it was stretched before them like a large carpet of dust and sand, and still more beautiful than Lucia ever thought it would be.
She smiled and then revved the motor to speed headlong down into the canyon. She whooped and cried all the way down, and finally settled into a ravine long since dried.
"Isn't this amazing!?" She asked getting off to look around, swinging her arms wide.

One deep breath, that's all she wanted. Lucia sucked in the dry air around her and filled her lungs with it, she looked around and thought that she could finally die happy...then she shook her head silently. No after all this she couldn't die yet. She didn't want to, besides, she still had to take care of Aieo and find her lost memories. After that she would see where she ended up.

"I'm not sure..." She strode a little bit ahead and then turned with her hands clasped behind her back bent at the waist.
"But I suppose we'll know it when we see it...right?" She smiled. Lucia was beginning to feel better than she had in ages, and she couldn't, for the life of her, understand why Aieo was so worried. They had made it hadn't they? They were at Cosmo Canyon. What more was there to be worried about.

Lucia had almost darted to her friend when the nose bleed had started again, but when she saw that it was detrimental, she held back. When it seemed like she had finished, she smiled grimly, her eyes narrowed and angry.
"I take it you have more of a reason to dislike Rufus than I do huh? If they're coming let them, we'll just have to find that door before they do, right?! Right!!" She grabbed ahold of Aieo's wrist and clamped her hand around it in a gesture of companionship. It was almost as if to say:
I'll be there for you every step of the way, since I'm already far enough in anyway.

"Then let's go!!!" She hopped back onto the bike, dragging Aieo along with her and sped off in a cloud of dust and dirt.
"Just let me know if you feel or see anything alright!" She called over the roar of the engine. If anything, Lucia was enjoying the thought of throwing a monkey wrench into Rufus's plans. Teach him wouldn't it. the thought may have been childish, but she was happier than she had been in a long time....since the time she'd accidentally gotten hammered at the bar with Tseng, Elena, Rude...and Reno. It was a celebration to comemorate the one year anniversary since Lucia's rescue...she'd found a life there, but they had only opened to her the opportunity, she had to take it if she was to live. Take it she would, even if it meant going aginast everything she knew to race headlong into another world.

A twist of the handles and they were on their way, Lucia pulled to a stop when she had gotten as close as she wanted to at that moment and turned to Aieo.
"This the place?"

Lucia walked over and placed a gloved hand on the rock face. From behind it she could feel....something...like it was pulsating.
Should a rock be throbbing like that? She questioned herself before turning back linking her fingers and pressing them outwards while twisting her arms to crack her knuckles and everything inbetween up to her elbows.
"So ya want me ta break it?"

Lucia barely had time to blink before the rock face had just parted and sucked the both of them into a swirling mass of....well she didn't know what to call it....she just knew that it was more than she bargined for. She felt sick to her stomach and retched as soon as she hit solid ground.
"What....What the....(urp) was that?"

Lucia's poor stomach rolled again as she watched her friend jump around her, she lolled onto her back and looked around instantly jumping to her feet as she saw that her bike had come through as well.
"OH THANK YOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!" She cried fliging herself across the seat. That meant that all of her provisions had come along as well. She looked back and tilted her head.
"Who's Leon?" She asked confused.

Lucia checked her equipment and cocked her gun as she placed it into her shoulder holster, she knew that they were in a city...a very odd city....but she didn't want to take for granted that nothing was hostile here. She would be on her guard, she rolled her bike to where Aieo looked around.
"So what kind of place is this? I've never seen anything like it."

She turned with her friend, but stole a final glance back.
Blonde.....spiky...........
"WAITAMINUTE!!!" She gaped and pointed from one direction to the other, finally giving up altogether.
"Yeah, let's...let's just go that way." She hurried to catch up. She was in a topsy turvy world and nothing here seemed to make any sense, but Lucia sighed and followed behind Aieo, figuring that she would know her way around better than Lucia, but as she passed by some of the darker buildings, she unconciously drew her pistol and moved it to her hip holster. Easier to get to, easier to fire.
