Leon did as he was told...most of them were already completely loaded. The only thing missing bullets was the Blacktail, which took two seconds to load.
"...what now? Ey?" He made sure he had his Killer 7 in hand. He liked that gun. SO much. Anything that messed with him was getting a face full of Magnum ammo. |
Ada parked the boat by the Island and sighed. She turned to Leon, grabbed his shoulders.
"Don't interrupt the wedding. Saddler will be PISSED if you do anything. More than likely end up killing...her." Apparently, Ada HAD known information. But the 'her' was still up in the air. |
Leon blinked. "...do you know who he's planning on marrying? Or are you as clueless as I am at this point? ...and why am I always the last one to know this shit?" He shook his head. "Why wouldn't I interrupt it? If we can KILL Saddler, then we can make this entire mess a lot easier a LOT quicker. Can't we?"
That was how he was thinking at the moment. Can't reason with something? Kill it with fire! |
Ada took a deep breath...and then exhaled.
"Akurin. Her Father is Ramon Salazar." Ada climbed out of the boat and up the ladder, firing at things. She hoped Leon wouldn't take forever. |
Leon stared at Ada. And when she left, he stared at where she used to be. It was like someone had just frozen him solid. It took him a minute to remember to breathe...and with that, he also realized that Ada was up there. Shooting stuff. And possibly posing with her gun in an attempt to look sexier. The thought made him laugh, although it came out sounding kind of hysterical.
After a few moments, however, he forced himself to stand and climb the ladder. His limbs felt like they were full of lead and bolted to the boat, but he managed. By the time he got up to the ledge, however, Ada had probably killed/chased away everything alive in the area...which was a good thing because Leon doubted he could fire accurately right now. |
Ada blinked at Leon. She had already killed everything...
"Well...We can rest here for awhile." Ada sat against a box and reloaded her guns, looking at Leon. "Y'okay...?" |
Leon leaned--no...leaned isn't the right word. Leon FELL against the wall, using it for support. Akurin? Marrying someone ELSE? Had she known? Or was she being forced into it? He looked up at Ada...apparently it took a lot of effort just to lift his head a few inches.
"...what? Okay? No. No, no. I'm fine. Really." The look on his eyes and the funny octave his voice hit said otherwise. |
Ada looked at him, her eyes symphathetic.
"I'm sure she didn't know, Leon. Who in their right mind would want to marry Saddler..?" Suddenly a stroke of genius hit Ada. "Leon! Your communicator! Have you attempted to contact her?" |
Leon blinked. The only part that sunk in was the word communicator...which he quickly used to call her. Inwardly he thanked Ada, but figured that he should wait until he was done talking to Akurin to do so out loud.
"Hello? Hello? Akurin?" ...he sounded desperate. Very...very desperate. |
The communicator crackled on the other end, but Leon did get a reply.
"L-Leon?! Leon, is that you?! |
Leon sighed in relief. "It's me! What's going on? Are you okay?"
His hands were shaking. It was a good thing that the video wasn't working, otherwise she'd be afraid he was hurt. |
A soft, panicked sob came from the other end.
"I don't know what's going on! They said something about a wedding, but I could barely hear...I...I'm sorry, Leon..." |
Leon blinked. He had an idea, however... "Don't worry. Can you see outside at all? If you can get to a window, tell me what you see outside, okay? I need an idea of where your at so I can come get you."
He hoped that he could get SOME idea from this...at least so he knew which direction to go... |
There was sudden shuffling sound and Akurin had moved to look out the window...
"...I...see a boat and I see a girl with black hair..." |
Leon blinked. "A girl with black hair?"He turned to look at Ada...IF she was still there.
|
Ada looked back at him.
"What?" Akurin shivered, and coughed suddenly. "Yeah, she just moved." |
Leon blinked again. "...Ada, wave your arms above your head." And then he got more concerned... "Akurin, are you okay? Are you cold or anything? Or is it just dust? Let me know if the girl does anything else, okay? Also...how are you looking at her? I'm guessing your off to the side a bit because you can't see me..."
|
Akurin's voice suddenly got more excited.
"You mean you're here, Leon?!" Ada did as she was told, waving her arms above her head annoyedly. "I see her! I see her. Step so I can see you, Leon! I'll open the window..." ...and open the window she did. |
Leon moved over towards Ada and looked around, honestly PRAYING that Akurin was right above him.
|
Leon would spot Akurin as she jumped out of the second story window, landing with a loud thump in a pile of cardboard boxes right next to them.
"Leon!" The voice was much closer, and not clouded by the communicator. Ada turned her back and sighed heavily. |
And Akurin would just get his name out before Leon practically tackled her and kissed her. And forgot about Ada standing there. In fact, he was only aware of the fact that he had Akurin back. Oh, and that he was happy to see her. Nothing else got through his mental wall at the moment.
|
Akurin put her arms around him and squeezed, kissing him back and releasing him after a moment.
'We need to go. They'll be back to check on me soon, and when they find out I'm not there, they're going...well, it's going to be bad..." Akurin looked up at Leon and offered him a smile. |
Leon smiled back. He helped her stand up and then turned to Ada--finally--and introduced them.
"Akurin, this is Ada...Ada, this is Akurin." He sincerely hoped Ada didn't decide to do something that would have the possibility of pissing Akurin off...and vice versa. That was the last thing he wanted right now. |
Ada didn't say anything. The look on her face was nothing short from rage.
"We need to go, Leon." Those were the only words out of Ada's mouth, and she grabbed Leon's arm, leading him up to the door they needed to go through. |
Leon blinked at her, confused. Why was she pissed off again?
"Well, yeah, I know, but--" The fact that Leon still had hold of Akurin's hand meant she was dragged right along behind him. He didn't want to let go. Not yet. "...uh...I can follow you, you know. You don't need to drag me along behind like a disobedient puppy." |
