"My training just started but I live my mentor." Winterpaw said then glanced around "is fox really that good?" she didn't have problem with fox how could she she had grown up with fox in the clan but it was well know that fox's generally didn't get along with cats.

"Flame saved my life" Foxpaw said, "that's why I'm named Foxpaw you knwo"

"i know its just kinda wierd don't you think. Why would a fox save a cat?" Winterpaw asked curiousity getting to her.

"well he'd already been living in the camp, because when they found Maplepaw she refused to come back without him, so the real question is why a family of foxes adopted a cat" Foxpaw said.

"This is true...do you think it would be rude if I asked him?" Winterpaw asked casting a glance at flame.

Foxpaw shook his head, "Nah, he's used to curiosity"

"All right i'm going to do it...wish me luck." winterpaw said and hurried towards flame. "Um...flame I want to ask you something but i don't want you to get affended."

Flame, "what si ti winterpaw? I won't be offended" his voice is gentle.

"Um...It's about maplepaw and foxpaw why did you take maplepaw in and why save foxpaw?" Winterpaw asked tipping her head at him.

Flame looked amused, he'd guessed that's what her question would be. "Maplepaw was just a baby, she was Maplekit back then, and we had our own children, my mate and I, and I couldn't have but think what if it was my child, who was alone and afraid and would die with out help, so we had to help her, we couldn't have done anything else, and well we'd always been different from normal foxes anyway, not as mean i suppose you could say, and when I saved Foxpaw, i wasn't wondering how it would feel to bhave my children in that situation, i nkew exactly hwo losing my xcchildren felyt, and i wouldn't wish tha on anyone"

"But usually fox's are so mean to cats." Winterpaw said. "were you raised by a cat or something?"

Flame shook his head, looing amused, "no but when we were pups my mate and I used to play with the kittens on a farm close to where we lived"

"So thats why." Winterpaw said "Well at least you're better then the other foxes and ou understand them so if they attack we can rely on you're info to beat them."

"they wouldn't attack here," Flame siad, "there
's not enough of them and too many of us" he didn't even really otice that he said "us" not "you".

Winterpaw nodded softly "You're so cool flame I'm glad you're part of are clan. I got to go find my mentor and see if we're going to do anything see you later flame." she trodded off in search of her mentor.

SILVERSTORM SAW wINTERPAW, "LOOKING FOR ME?"

"Yep I was wondering if we were going to do anything like train." winterpaw said with smile

"yes" Silverstorm said, "we're going to start basic training"

"Cool" Winterpaw said "I'm totally ready."

Silberstorm flicked his tail for her to follow him to the training place.

Winterpaw followed behind him slowly hoping her play fighting with applepaw would pay off.

"are there any moves you know from watching the older apprentices and such?" Silverstom asked when they arrived.
