Rainstar and Silverstorm followed their apprentices more slowly.

Honeytail sighed and followed with the other mentors. "There going to be impossible to keep still." She said smiling slightly as winterpaw climbed up the tree branch that applepaw had said would be the end of there race. "i win." winterpaw said as her sisters climbed up next to her.

Wildpaw raced back towards the camp, eager to get her apprentice duties started.she knew these jobs weren't fun, but she figured that before she could be the greatest warrior ever, she first had to be the greatest apprentice ever.
Cobrastar looked around the camp, surveying the cats that were still there.after a long and difficult leaf bare, the clans numbers had dropped significantly.Cobrastar worried that the clan might not start to grow back to its former glory within his lifetime.they needed more warriors, more apprentices, more kits.granted, there were kits on the way, but it would still take moons for the clan to grow again, and that only if Wildpaw took a mate in one of those kits.until then...he sighed.times were difficult.

"Winterpaw's very fast" Silverstorm meowed.

Pineshadow followed his apprentice back into camp.

"She always has been sometimes I wonder if she should have been in windclan." Hollytail said then bounded over the tree branch in one try her kits stared at her in amazment. "Wow." applepaw managed "you have to learn how to do that." "First you have to get bigger." hollytail meowed gently.

Wildpaw got back to camp and stopped to wait for her mentor."what do I do first Pineshadow?"

"The elders," Pineshadow decided.

Wildpaw nodded and started for the elders den.within an hour she had all the moss cleaned out and replaced, having thoroughly checked it for thorns, she had brought the elders fresh kill, and she had taken care of their ticks.panting and dirty, Wildpaw padded up to her mentor."how was that, Pineshadow? Did I do good?"

Pineshadow nodded, "Yes you did excellent"

Silverstorm leaped over the branch after Hollytail.

Wildpaw beamed."its the nursery next, right? Brightcloud needs fresh kill and soft bedding." She said, eager to help.
Cobrastar watched from the tallrock as his grandkit went about her apprentice duties.he would have to alert Pineshadow soon about his vision from starclan.

"yes" Pineshadow said, however right after the word left his mouth their was a yowl of pain from the nursery. he whirled around, "Brightcloud!'

Wildpaw whirled in surprise."Brightcloud must be kitting! I'll get Darkheart!" She said, and raced for the medicine den."Darkheart! Come quickly, Brightcloud is having her kits!" She yowled, bursting into the medicine den.

Pineshadow raced to the nursery while Wildpaw got the medicine cat, "Brigthcloud, are you okay?"

"yes" Biirghtcloud panted, "the kits are coming"

Darkheart shook herself from her thoughts and grabbed the herbs she might need. "I'm coming. Is there something wrong?" They way the young apprentice had come racing over was amusing but at the sometime it was a little frighting.

Honeytail glanced at silverstream and flicked her tail for her kits to follow them. As the neared the gorge they could hear the rushing of the waterfall. "Whats that?" applepaw asked "you'll see." honeytail answered.

Wildpaw shook her head."I don't know.Brightcloud sounded like she was hurting.I think she's having her kits now, so she needs you." She said,trying to calm down.

Pineshadow poked his head out of the nursery, looking to see if Darkheart and Wildpaw were coming.

Silverstorm padded toward the gorge.

"Well having kits is painfull. Now out with you both." Darkheart said shoeing them out so she could deal with brightcloud.

Wildpaw left the nursery to let Darkheart do her job, but stayed near the entrance just in case.she wanted to see the kits as soon as they came.
Cobrastar stood nearby, watching.

Pineshadow paced back and forth outside the nursery.

Brightcloud looked up at the medicne cat, gasping in pain at another contraction.

Wildpaw decided to fetch some fresh kill for Brightcloud so that she could eat when the kits came.

When the apprentices saw the gorge there mouths nearly dropped from there faces. "It's so wide and deep." applepaw said being adventures she went right up to the edge and looked down will her sisters watched her nervously.

Darkheart nodded to brightcloud. "You're doing fine. Just a little more and the first one should be out." she rubbed the she-cats stomach for a few moments. "If you're in to much pain I brought poppyseeds but for now here." she gave the she-cat a strong stick to bite on.

Brightcloud bit down on the stick as the first kit came.
