"So I've got to master this thing more than once. Brilliant." Selena said. She barked a laugh. "It sounds like a video game."

"You tell me. Anyway, there is something I want to tell you and the rest of the crew. Can you gather the rest and bring them back here? I'm not risking Yugi trying to walk then falling down" Ruby asked, "you know what I mean."

"No problem," Selena said.
"Don't worry; I actually appreciate it." Yugi said as Selena sent out a mass-text to the gang. He was still feeling a bit weak, despite the fact that Ruby and Selena had both helped heal him. |
20 mins later, everyone (except Judai who was still in sin in surgary, and both Kaiba and Atemu who was still in training) was in the intestive care unit.
"I know why your wondering why you are here right?" Ruby asked. Everyone nodded. "It's something related to one of your own." |
"Me, precisely." Selena said. She removed the eyepatch for the second time that day, and her Eye reacted once it was off. The swirling, snaking, complex design on her face reappeared, along with the marking on her brow. "I've mastered the Demon Eye, at least at the first level.
"It also means that I'm immortal." |
Ruby gave her the glare.
"That's not what I mean" she mindlinked. |
'Then explain what you do mean.' Selena linked back.

"I mean Ashleigh. They have to know what's going on in advance" Ruby replied, "It might help then to get an advantage."

'Right.' Selena replied. "There's also...Ashleigh's given herself to Kaimiri."
"What?! No way!" Jonouchi said. "There's no way she'd do that!" Selena took the girl's bond ring out of an inner pocket in her leather vest. "She left this with me," she replied. "I made her keep her dogtags, but I could tell that she didn't want to." |
"There is a reason why she's done that. Can you remember when the girl was controlled by Kaimiri as a mindless slave?" Ruby asked. Everyone nodded.
"Well, it seems a fragment of the enchantment is still in her, well, the part that she can't remember what has happened" Ruby continued, "and the chocker isn't a controlling chocker at all." |
"Then what is it?" Selena asked.

"A transformation chocker. Turns anyone into a angel of darkness, against their own will" Ruby replied.

"Aw shit," Selena replied. "THAT's just what we all needed."

"That is what I was afraid of and a simple kiss can't break it. That's why I suggest for Selena and Yugi to go with the first group. They both have a good chance to break the spell and choaker" Ruby said.

"We're not going until I'm recovered, though." Yugi said. "I'm still weak from that fiasco in Kaimiri's dimention."
"Well I'm not letting Yugi and Selena go alone either." Jonouchi said. "I'm going with 'em, like it or not." |
"Didn't you listen Jonouchi? I said with the first group. Max, you're planning to send a group to Kaimiri's realm right?" Ruby asked.

Max nodded. "Yes," she replied. "The second group will consist of Aoi Misawa, Jack Atlas, Crow Hogan, Aki Izayoi, and Seto Kaiba. They're supposed to go after Yusei and bring him back."

"When Yugi's back to health, add him and Selena. I want them to focus on Ashleigh" Ruby said, "the others can focus on Yusei and bring him back."

Max nodded. "I'd have Bakura going as well, but his heart condition is getting worse...that, and his and Melhana's wedding is coming up before long."
"I forgot about that!" Selena said, eye wide (she'd replaced the eye patch). "Just goes to show the three-ring circus we've been dealing with lately." |
"There is a bit of a problem with the wedding part. Ashleigh wanted to attend. If she misses it, she will go on a ranpage" Ruby pointed out.
"She has a point" Saharia agreed. |
"It might wind up getting delayed anyway, if Ryo doesn't recover." Melhana said. "He's been having attacks more often lately."

"Why not move it till 6 months time? I'm pretty sure that Ashleigh will be back by then" Marcia suggested.
"And that's plenty of time for Ryo to recover too" Saharia added. |
Melhana nodded. "Might not be a bad idea either. I've got the jitters!" She said.

"So it's agreed. We move the wedding back, when Yugi's back to full health, we send the first group to rescue Yusei and break the last of the enchantment. Then we will plan the next move" Max summed up.
"I have a feeling that D-Day's not going to happen next week" Ruby said. Everyone stared at her. "What? |
"WHAT!?!?!" Selena and Jonouchi blurted in unison. "You've gotta be kidding!"
"That means we've only got a week to prepare," Yugi said, mulling everything over. |
