"Your funeral," Melhana muttered, getting on her motorcycle and starting it up. When she was sure Atem was on behind her, she started off.
"Understandable," Uriel replied. "I will stay here while you retrieve Yugi Mutou." |
Atem clutched onto Melhana's waist. He knew from experiance that she can go extreamly fast.
"Just make sure that you don't chuck me off like last time" Atem said. Lanchia nodded. Holding an emeraled pendant, she opened the window to Yana's room. |
"Don't worry, I won't." Melhana said. Now that they were out of the garage, she was all but ignoring speed limits. "You said town center, right?"
Yugi looked up when he saw the window open. "What the...?" |
"Yes...HEY! You haven't payed off the last fine yet!" Atem yelled.
"Yugi Motou" Lanchia said, appearing from the window, "We need your help." |
"I'm only pushing the speed limit, not breaking it." Melhana replied. "You haven't even seen me go into motocross-mode."
"With what?" Yugi asked, standing. |
"I saw you in motorcross mode and you got caught. Remember?" Atem sighed.
"You have to come with me" Lanchia replied, holding out the pendant, "This will help you in the angelic plane." |
"Which is why I'm not passing the speed limit." Melhana replied as they reached the town center.
"You're taking me to the angelic plane?" Yugi asked, taking the pendant. "Is something wrong with Ashleight?" He added, his heart beginning to pound in his chest. |
"More than that" Lanchia replied and offered her hand to Yugi.

Yugi took her hand. I hope I can help... He thought.

"Come on then" and both appeared in Ashleigh's room. Yugi clasped his mouth for what he saw.

"Oh no...." Yugi said, his hands over his mouth. "What....what happened to her?"

"In the moment, your wife has a dangerous dose of dark energy. We tried detoxing her but we lost her, but she revived herself. She is too weak to continue the detox. We don't want to loose our princess" Lanchia replied.

"And you need my help to drive it out." Yugi replied.

"Not quite" Lanchia said, "we need you to help her to stay strong till the detox is over."

Yugi nodded. "I can do that," He said.

"Thanks Yugi. I knew we could count on you" Lanchia said.

Yugi nodded. "I'd do anything to save Ashleigh." He said. "When were you guys going to start the detox again?"

"hopefuly in the next minute or so" Lanchia replied.

Yugi nodded. He took his wife's hand and closed his eyes. I hope this works, He thought, activating his aura, causing Ashleigh's aura to ignite as well.

The girl's aura was weak, but stable. After a while, it slowly began to become stronger as a shine appeared on Ashleigh's skin.
"It's working!" Lanchia gasped, "it really is!" |
Yugi kept his eyes closed to keep his focus. It's working, now to keep it that way....

Then a voice entered Yugi's head.
'Use the lock and key' it said. It wasn't Ashleigh's voice for sure. Then he remembered on what the girl said. "Your key is really special and use it when you really need it." |
Yugi took the key from his chain and placed it to Asheigh's heart. I hope this works, he thought, then turned it.

Ashleigh gasped and arched back screaming. On the screen, it showed that Ashleigh's soul was back to full strength and was strong enough to finish the detox.
"Where did you find that key?" Lanchia asked. |
"It's from a pendant Ashleigh gave me as a late birthday present," Yugi replied, almost dropping the key. "I have no idea where she got it, though."
