"You and me both." Aoi said. "At least now we can enjoy the duel."
Yugi drew. "I attack your Speed Warrior with my Obnoxious Celtic Guardian!" He said, pointing to the warrior in question. "I activate Scrap Iron Scarecrow!" Yusei countered. "Thanks to this, my Speed Warrior stays on the field." Yugi smiled. "All right then. I'll set a face-down and end my turn." |
"Right!" Aki agreed.
Ashleigh turned to see Uriel. "Papa, you going to watch the duel too?" she asked. |
Yusei drew. He frowned. "I set a monster in defense mode and end." He said.
"I do not have any more work, which is new." Uriel replied. "So yes." |
"Papa, what do I have to do for the Coronation?" Ashleigh asked, "or better yet, what is it?"

"The coronation is when your mother's power is passed on to you." Uriel replied. "What you have to do for it is...complicated to explain. You have to recieve your mother's sword, but it's more than just that."

"A sword?" Ashleigh asked, "why do I have to recieve that?"

"I am not entirely sure." Uriel replied. "Like I said before, it's something far more powerful than just recieving her sword. It's only a symbol of her office."

"I see" Ashleigh said.
Back in the sickbay, Yana couldn't hold on to her body much longer. I'm sorry dad, but I can't hold on anymore she thought and let go. I'm coming mum, please wait for me. |
Just then, as Yugi drew, he stopped. No...Yana... He thought, feeling the bond break.
"Something wrong?" Yusei asked. Yugi shook his head and continued his draw. Yusei has Scrap Iron Scarecrow, so I won't be bale to get rid of his monsters with just one attack, so... "I summon the Silent Magician in Attack mode!" He said. "Silent Magician, attack his Speed Warrior!" "I activate Scrap Iron Scarecrow again!" Yusei countered. "Exactly what I was hoping for," Yugi said as his attack was negated. "Obnoxious Celtic Guardian, attack his Junk Synchron!" This time the attack went through, destroying the Tuner. (Yusei LP: 3700) "I end my turn." |
Just then Gabriel burst into the room, just as the dogtags went stone cold.
"What's going on?" Ashleigh asked. |
"What I feared would happen has." Gabriel replied.
"What do you mean?" Uriel asked. "Yana Mutou has passed." |
"No...Yana...." Ashleigh said quietly, "We have to do something!"

Gabriel shook his head. "I'm afraid she passed on her own." He replied. "As of right now, she can't go back."

"NO!" Ashleigh cried and opened a two way door to Yana's room. Then she ran into the window. Lanchia poked her head around the door.
"Her final exam huh?" she asked. Ashleigh made through her way to her daughter. I must not stuff this up she said as she placed her hands onto Yana's body. Slowly but surely, a glow appeared and got bigger. Yana opened her eyes to see a bright light. She reached out and touched it...... |
Gabriel shook his head. "No." He said. "Ashleigh's daughter has passed." He looked over and saw the look in Uriel's eyes. "You are concerned."

"Well, it seems like it" Lanchia said, and pointed to the window as the heart moniter started to bleap again.
Yana opened her eyes, looking up ay her mother. "Mum, is that you?" she asked weakly. Ashleigh nodded. "Yes it is" Ashleigh replied, then hugged her. |
"She's reviving her." Gabriel said. "But I don't know if it'll take hold...."

"Yeah, but she's the princess. Meaning that her magic surpass the abilities of an arch" Lancia said, "And the heart meter is showing that."
"Just hang on" Ashleigh said and using her princess powers as well as her arch powers, she made sure Yana was here to stay, which she did successfully. After that, and a check over, the pair hugged again. "I missed you so much mum" Yana said, tears streaming down her face. "Me too baby girl" Ashleigh replied, "No-one offically passes on before their time on my watch. Which reminds me." And she created a mindlink with Selena. "Selena, it's Ashleigh. I need to talk to you alone. I'm in Yana's room if you're wondering. I don't have much time here so it has to be quick." |
Selena was changing in her room, getting ready to head out to the Kaiba Dome to watch Yugi's and Yusei's duel.
'Yeah? I'm on my way.' She said, tossing her jacket down on the bed and heading out of the bedroom, not caring that she was still wearing part of her dueling outfit. |
"There is something that I have to tell you Yana" Ashleigh said.
"What is it?" Yana asked. "Well, we come from a line of angels on our side of the family. That means my mum is and angel, Max is an angel, and you're an angel. This has been going on for how long" Ashleigh explained, "It doesn't matter if it's relating to your dad being an angel or not, it's just how it is." "Wow" Yana said as Selena entered, "that explains alot." |
Just then Selena came into the room. She still had on the vest, cravat, shirt, trousers, and boots from when she was dueling. And of course, her eyepatch. "What'd you want to talk to me about?" She asked.

"There's something you haven't told me" Ashleigh replied, "If this isn't out in the open, there will be a riff between us, breaking our friendship." Selena froze at that statement.

"And you say this because...?" She prompted.

"Because I care" Ashleigh replied, "maybe there is a reason for you being immortal."

"Yeah. It's called I'm gonna break the death curse." Selena replied. "I know what'll happen. It'll be permanently bonded to me. When I die, it will die."
