"And will you take her as your wife, Yugi Mutou?"
Yugi nodded. "Yes." He said. The minister nodded. "Link hands." He said, placing his hand out in front of him. Yugi obeyed. This was nothing like the wedding back home. When the two had done so, the minister began to speak a spell in High Atlantean. As he did so, Yugi's and Ashleigh's auras flared up, rand down their arms, and twined together. Yugi held back a gasp as he felt Ashleigh's aura mix with his own. |
This is weird Ashleigh thought as she felt Yugi's aura mix with hers, this is nothing like back home, plus it's going to tamper with my angel form too.

As the minister spoke the spell, Yugi and Ashleigh heard a his voice in their minds. "When this ceremony is done, you will be linked not only in fact, but also in spirit, in aura, in soul. You will be able to feel each other's aura and life force at all times. You will know what the other is feeling. No matter the distance you will always be able to find each other by this bond unbreakable."

That's convenient Ashleigh thought, like unbreakable dog tags. Wonderful.

Finally the minister finished the spell. "You are know bonded in fact, spirit, and time." He told the two. "The future King and Queen of Eternity."

The pair looked at each other.
"That was, interesting to say the least" she said, "but I am glad that this has been done." |
Yugi nodded, his eyes warm. "Yeah, I know." He replied. "I'm just glad I didn't have to lose you."

"Same here" Ashleigh replied, then the pair looked again at the minister.

"The ceremony is done," He said. "Yugi Mutou, you may now lead your wife down the aisle."

Yugi obeyed, Ashleigh by his side.
"This was quite different from the ones back home" she said. |
"Mmnh," Yugi hummed in agreement. "So...what happens now?"

"Coronation" Ashleigh replied, "But I still can't believe that we, future king and queen. Who knew?"
|
"Seems we keep on getting pegged for all sorts of things," Yugi said. "When's the coronation?"
|
Ashleigh turned to see Uriel standing there.
"When is the coronation Papa?" she asked, making Yugi wide-eyed. |
"P-p-p-p-papa?!" Yugi yelped. "Don't tell me I have a new set of in-laws!"
"Yes, you do." Uriel replied. "And your coronation will be right after your first mission, before you return to your time and place." |
"But papa, I already have done my first mission remember?"Ashleigh reminded Uriel.

"So you have," Uriel replied. "For now, a short break before your training with your mother."

"WHAT?" Ashleigh exclamed, "That means Yugi and myself have to be seperated again right?"

"Unfortunately, yes." Uriel replied. "It will be a matter of a month before you return to the world of life, though. You will be back in time for your friend's wedding."

Ashleigh nodded.
"I understand Papa. Will Yugi be back for the coronation?" Ashleigh asked. |
"Yes." Uriel replied. "Sadly, there is no one to train him in his responsiblities."
"Wait--if you're Ashleigh's dad, then doesn't that make you the King?" Yugi asked. "If I had been married to Ashleigh's mother, the Queen of Eternity, at the time of my death, then yes. However, I was killed and she imprisoned before that was possible." Uriel replied. "I am not the King of Eternity." |
"Can we try and contact the previous king Papa?" Ashleigh asked.

Uriel shook his head. "Sadly, no. He's been reincarnated....who and where, I do not know." He replied.

"Oh, I see" Ashleigh said as Yana ran up to the trio.
"Are we going dad?" she asked. |
"Not yet," Yugi replied. "I thought it would be good if the three of us spent some time together."
"I will leave you three then," Uriel said, leaving the family. |
