"Fine then!" Selena yelled. Ashleigh recoiled slightly. "If that's how you feel, then there's nothing I--or anyone else--can do to stop it! Go right ahead and leave! Just remember what you're leaving behind, baka!"

"Fine!" Ashleigh cried, "maybe I was ready to give all this up after all. And with that, Ashleigh took her snow coat.
"You know what, I should've done this years ago" she snapped, then left off in a huff, "and don't bother following. I don't need the lot of you anyway." |
Selena sighed as she watched the girl leave. Let's just hope it gets through that thick skull of yours that we still consider you our friend...no matter how you change. She thought as she returned to the party.

I thought I be happy when I returned, but I'm not Ashleigh thought as she left the federation, but I'm not. Maybe my heart and soul wanted to be with the angels. And now I have to live with it. And I should've left them years ago, including Selena. I hate her!

Selena returned to the party and instead of picking up her usual mint julep, she went for a beer instead. As she did so, Atem came up to her. "What do you want?" She asked harshly.

"Sorry" Atem said, "all I want to know is what happened, that's all."

Selena sighed as she opened her beer. "Ashleigh's being dense." She said. "The girl's refusing to see that even though she's changed, and no matter how much she's changed, she's still our friend." She took a drink. "If that wasn't true, then that would be the same for all of us. I can see how much you've changed from the nutjob you were when Yugi first solved the puzzle."

"Selena, how many times do I have to tell you, if the girl has a mindset, DO NOT try to change it. By the next day, she would've come down back to earth and be back to normal" Atem said, "you're just lucky she didn't wipe you off the face of the earth in an instant."

"Yeah, yeah." Selena said. "I've got no idea where she went though."

"Don't go 'Yeah, yeah' to me Selena" Atem growled, "You seriously did some damage this time. Now she's probably thinking that she doesn't need us now and she hates you for it. And would you want to feel what she's been through, coming to the conciliation that she wanted space for a reason? Reason why Melhana and myself dragged her down here for the first place is that to let everyone know that she's back and that's it."

"Hmph," Selena put the beer down and crossed her arms. "It's not like she didn't hate my guts before. Tell me, has she ever said anything good about me? Even once?" She shook her head. "Last I checked, she likes me about as much as gum in a girl's hair."

Atem sighed.
"I suggest you apologize immediately" he said, "meaning now. I don't care how cold it is, you are going to do it before she really hurt herself!" |
"I have no bloody idea where the girl went!" Selena said. "And besides, if she wants to run off and fume, it's none of my buisness. We all know how great I am at apologies."

"Just do it Selena" Atem snapped, "or she WILL think that way for the rest of her life thanks to you. I don't care where she's gone, just find her!"

"Fine, I'll apologize." Selena replied. "I doubt she'll listen to me though. Considering how she sees me as a f***ed up freak." Which ain't too far off the mark.

"Good" Atem said, "and don't come back till you do."

Selena sighed and finished her beer before heading off. "Wish me luck...and hope to hell that I come back in one piece." She said as she left the room."
Yugi came up beside Atem. "What's wrong this time?" He asked. |
"Selena pushed it, again" Atem replied, "and she's done major damage this time."

Yugi sighed. "She's as rough as ever." He said. "Selena's not the best when it comes to being gentle."
Selena raised the collar on her coat. Now where would a pissed-off fairy go? She thought. |
"Considering Ashleigh's emotions are fragile in the moment" Atem agreed, "And she still needs to learn not to take it far if you see warning signs."

Yugi nodded. "Yeah." He said. "Sometimes I wonder if Selena's even aware of others' emotions."
Selena stopped and sighed. Wait a sec...I can try and track her aura. She thought. Looking around to make sure no one could see, Selena pulled her eyepatch off and put her hood up so that she'd be able to see Ashleigh's aura trail. Sure enough, ruby-red footprints appeared on the sidewalk on the other side of the street, showing where Ashleigh had been. Selena crossed the street and followed the trail. |
"That is true, but you have to remember that Ashleigh just returned as she's delicate like a butterfly" Atem pointed out.

"I know," Yugi replied. "And that makes it even worse."
Selena put her eyepatch back on when she found Ashleigh. "So this is where you came." She said when she came up to the girl in the park. |
"Yeah" Atem said, "and dragging her down wasn't a good idea after all."
"I told you don't bother following" Ashleigh snapped, "no matter what anyone says." |
Yugi shook his head in agreement. "No it wasn't."
Selena sighed. "I hoped I wouldn't have to do this..." she said, balling her hand in a fist. She drew her fist back, and punched Ashleigh square in the face. |
