"He's out of our hair at least." Selena said. "For now, anyway."

"Yes, now we need to protect Yugi now" Ashleigh said, "He's the only Ultimate shard left."

"Right when I thought we'd be able to go back to normal." Yugi sighed.

"You know," Selena said, "sometimes the best place to hide something is out in the open."

"But Kaimiri's locked away, and I done major damage to his dad so it will take almost as long" Ashleigh replied.
"Wait, you don't have the shard anymore? Anzu asked.
"No. I had to destroy it. The arches gave me a new heart as well as a new body" Ashleigh replied.

"Whoa...what about the old one?" Honda asked. "Wait...how did you know what happened to Kamiri's dad? Didn't he eat Kamiri?"

"That's what we saw, but when I was at the dark angelic plain, I found out that he survived and was arrested" Ashleigh replied, "But I don't know if he's going to be more or less power hungry."

"Brilliant," Selena said. "Well, if it comes to that....then I guess I'm going to have to live long enough to bring down the freakizoid. If need be."

"Yeah" Ashleigh agreed.
Long enough to find love she thought.

"Anyway," Bakura said. "What are the chances of any of us seeing your dress before the wedding?"

"Zilch." Melhana replied. "I've even got a magic web woven around it so I'm the only one who can open my closet."

Yugi laughed. "I could've told you that was a lost cause." He said. "I tried the same thing with Ashleigh...and then she wouldn't speak to me until the wedding when I didn't listen to her."

"You got that right" Ashleigh said, "but it's worth the wait though."

"For both parties." Melhana said. "The groom because they can finally see the dress, and the bride because it drags out the torture."

Otogi looked between three of the four women there. "You three are evil." He said.

"Hey, it's tradition" Ashleigh resorted.

"May as well milk it for all it's worth." Melhana said with a shrug.

a few days went by and the day of the Mages wedding arrived. Even though it was agreed that that they have to do an official wedding, Melhana was still in a bundle of nerves.
"Calm down Mel" Ashleigh said.

"How can I calm down?!" Melhana asked shrilly. "I'm nervous! I've been waiting for this to happen since before Kamiri got beat, and I still feel like I'm about to explode!" The woman was pacing back and forth, still in her PJs.

"I know how you feel" Ashleigh replied, "but still. You don't want Bakura see you in a mess."

Melhana took a deep breath and let it out. "You're right," she said. She strode to her closet and took out a garment bag, and unzipped it to take out a purple, silver, and black gown. The underskirt was black with silver sparkles, like a frosted mist, and the overskirt and bodice was a satiny purple with cap sleeves and a square-cut neckline, with the wadjet eye embroidered on the front of the bodice in silver. Also along the edges of the overskrit was the same frosted silver trim as on the underskirt. As part of the sleeves, attacked to the cap sleeves, were silvery, gossamer-like long sleeves that ended just beyond her knuckles. The back of the bodice was laced with silver laces, untied at the moment.

Melhana took the dress to the bathroom and changed, coming out wearing the garment. She gave a turn so Ashleigh could see the entire thing, front and back. "Like?" She asked.

"Yeah" Ashleigh replied, "It really suits you. And how many times did Bakura wanted to see that dress?"

Melhana laughed. "You really don't want to know." She said. She turned to face her back to Ashleigh. "Lace me up?" She asked.

Ashleigh nodded and tied up the laces at the back. She was wearing a purple dress with a silver cross-line around her waist plus silver trimmings and a pink heart in the middle. She was also wearing pink heart earrings and a pink heart clip. Her silver gloves was on the table and her purple shoes was near the couch. But all of a sudden, Ashleigh felt a bit light headed and collapsed on the ground, just as Uriel appeared to see how his daughter was going.

Melhana kneeled beside Ashleigh, as Uriel did the same. "What's wrong with her?" She asked the semitransparent angel.

"So you can see me," Uriel said.

Melhana gave him a look. "Your aura sticks out like a sore thumb. And I'm a mage. It wasn't that hard." She replied.

Uriel nodded. "It's her 'other half', Malenkia." He said. "Her soul is trying to merge the two personalities."

When Ashleigh came around, she was greeted with a sword pointing at her throat.
"Get up" Malenkia said. Ashleigh obeyed.
"How dare you interferred" Malenkia continued, "I was going to get rid of Kuro for good."
"You are not hurting anyone" Ashleigh said sternly, as she summoned her staff, "especially my friends."
"Fine, then we battle. Who wins, will decide about the fate of those who you call friends" Malenkia said.
"I don't want to do this, but if it hwas to be, then fine" Ashleigh agreed.
Time to put what I learnt into practice she thought.

"So we wait." Melhana said. "Any idea how long it'll take?"

Uriel shook his head. "No. It depends on the strength of her soul." He replied.

The battle was tense but at the end, Ashleigh pervailed, using the decoy trick. While the princess was on the ground, Ashleigh pointed her staff at her.
"You don't get it" Ashleigh said, "You have been in my body, and you still don't believe that my friends are your friends?"
"What do you mean?" Malenkia asked.
"You were part of me this whole time. My friends are your friends. My family is your family. My husband is your husband. Yo-I mean we were reborn for a reason, and we found it" Ashleigh replied.
"To find our parents and our destiny" Malenkia replied, getting up.
"That's right" Ashleigh said, "and we had friends helping out along the way." Malenkia nodded.
"So what's going to happen now?" she asked.
"Fuse our souls together to become one" Ashleigh said, "so no one gets hurt." The princess nodded and closed her eyes. She turned into a bright light which entered Ashleigh's soul. On the outside though, her body began to glow her aura.

Melhana's eyes widened. "What's happening?" She asked.

"Her twin souls are becoming one at last," Uriel replied quietly.
