Aka channeled her powers within her body.
I just hope Ashliegh stop listening to that song after this she thought. "Ready Yugi?" she asked. |
"Yeah, break it!" Yugi replied. His aura flared faintly dark green as he anticipated the attack.

Aka threw the mirror on the ground and the image became a real creature.
"At last, I am free. And now to get rid of you mortals" it said. We're not mortals Aka thought. |
"Try it!" Yugi replied. He summoned wizard's fire in his palm, and threw the liquid, dark green fire at the creature, laced with a purification spell.

The 'thing' smiled and reflected the attack back at Yugi. He flunged back against the wall.
"You forgot that my power is linked to Ashleigh's hate. The stronger her anger, the stronger my powers are" it said. "Crap. We need to find another way to get rid of it" Aka said. There was no responce. "Yugi?" |
Yugi groaned. He felt something warm trickling down the back of his neck. He felt the back of his head, and pulled his hand away. It was bloody. Crap, he thought. The last thing he needed right now was bleeding from the head. He picked himself up off the ground, his head spinning when he stood up. "Shit," He muttered. "Well, that didn't work."

"What was the last time Ashleigh was angry?" Aka asked.
If we don't think of something very soon, we're done for she thought. |
"About two weeks ago," Yugi replied. He was still a little self-concious about the minor falling out he and Ashleigh had had about his being in Omega.

"And she's still like that now?" Aka asked. Knowing the girl, when she gets angry, it doesn't last long.

"I didn't think so," Yugi replied. "Now, any ideas on how to get rid of this hag?"

"I hate to say it but, we're fighting the wrong battle Yugi. Only in the mirror I was able to zap her but out here, It won't work. I'm afraid that Ashleigh has to do this" Aka said.

Yugi sighed. He hated putting Ashleigh in these situations, but since it was the only way....
"All right, swap with her." He said. And I'd better get a stronger spell ready. |
Just then a golden light came out of nowhere and the poor girl fell down helplessly on the ground. Aka rushed to her aid.
"One question. How did you acted when you first met Atem?" she yelled out. |
"I thought I was crazy for one," Yugi replied, catching up to Aka where Ashleigh was. He sensed more than heard a groan from Atem. He ignored it. "And...well, that's when I finally put two and two together about my blackouts."

Before Aka said her responce, two white angel wings sprouted from her back. Then her clothes changed into white with a golden sash. When her eyes was shown, it didn't have any life.
"This is weird" Aka said. |
"Too weird." Yugi said. "Ashleigh, can you hear me?"

"First off, we have to keep Ashleigh grounded. Then we deal with that thing" Aka said.

Yugi nodded. He closed his eyes and initiated a mindlink. 'Ashleigh, are you in there? It's me, Yugi.' He told the girl.

Ashleigh didn't responed. There was something different about her, and not just her aura.
"What's happening?" Aka asked. |
"I'm not sure," Yugi replied. "I'm going to dive in further to try and bring her back."
'I'm going to need your help here, Atem.' Yugi linked to his partner. 'I'm going into Ashleigh's mind to try and bring her back. Keep a link to me, kay?' |
"You got to be kidding me" Aka facepalmed.
'I'm not sure that's a good idea. Remember last time? We nearly lost Melhana' Atem replied with concern. |
'I know, but it may be the only way to get Ashleigh back.' Yugi replied. 'Trust me on this.'
"Sorry, not kidding." He told Aka. |
'Listen to me Yugi and listen well. That is nothing but an empty shell. The real Ashleigh is still is in sleep mode while Aka is out. It could be a trap for all I care' Atem hissed.

Yugi hesitated for a moment before he withdrew. 'All right,' He replied.
Just like me when Atem and I were bonded through the Millennium Puzzle. he thought, looking worredly at Ashleigh's shell. |
"Ashleigh" turned around and blasted at Yugi.
'Told you' Atem said. 'Ashleigh, are you in there? It's me, Yugi.' Ashleigh woke up and found herself in a dark void. Where am I? And where is that voice coming from? she thought as she looked around. It was nothing but black. |
