"I think you'd forgive me eventually." Matthew grinned wildly as he traced the length of her arm as a breeze rolled by. "Are you cold, love? I didn't take into effect that it was October when I planned the picnic." He blushed slightly, reaching over Leane for her button down shirt.

Stopping his hand mid-reach, Leane linked their fingers together as she pulled Matt down beside her and snuggled close to him. "I'm not cold at all, I rather like being so close to you, it keeps me warm enough," she added with a smile as she arched her neck to place a long tender kiss upon the side of his neck. "What about you dearest? Are you cold? We can always go inside and stay in the Room of Requirements. No funny stuff, I promise," she added with a smile as she looked up at him.

"I'm not cold." Matthew promised as he wrapped his arms tighter around Leane to cradle her to his chest and rested his chin in her hair.

He wasn't sure how time passed as he laid with Leane in his arms, watching as the sun finally set over the lake. "Tell me when you wish to go inside, love." Matthew said as he traced designs over Leane's bare arm.

Wrapping her arms tighter around his waist, Leane tilted her face to look up at his as she inquired softly, "Well that depends, dearest, will I be forced to leave you if we do? If so, then I vote for staying out here. I don't want to leave your warm embrace just yet," she added with a blush as she placed a light kiss on his cheek before settling back down and resting her cheek upon his chest.

"We don't have to seperate. I don't particularly want to give you up just yet." Matthew smiled as he pulled out his wand and caused a blanket to appear over the couple. "Though it would be a shame if your toes froze off in the process." Matthew smiled as he curled closer to Leane under the blanket.

Smiling, Leane draped her legs over his nearest leg and slid her toes beneath his other leg, "No fear of that happening. Besides, it's not too chilly out here, we could always stay. I don't want to leave you for a dorm room. You're much more comfy and a lot better company," she teased as she arched her neck to placed a tender kiss upon his lips, "I love you."

"I love you too, Lee." Matthew murmured against her lips, one of his hands curling in her hair as he deepened the kiss. "So much." He whispered softly before slipping his tongue between her lips.

Returning his kisses eagerly, Leane pressed against him, closing all gaps between them as her arms wrapped around his neck. "I'm glad we stayed out here," she murmured softly between kisses, "It would have been a shame to trade this moment for a night in the dorms without you."

"Agreed." Matthew smiled as he returned her kisses eagerly, tangling their legs together as he kissed Leane passionately. He wasn't sure how he'd gone so many years without realizing just how beautiful his best friend was as he kissed her tenderly, wanting to make up for all the lost time.

.

For what seemed like hours they went on like this, kissing softly, tenderly, passionately as they laid out under the tree canopies that let in slivers of light from the moon and twinkling stars. They're lips a bit swollen from kissing so much and for so long, Leane smiled as she placed one last tender kiss upon his lips and whispered, "I'm really glad you decided to take me out tonight."

"So am I." Matthew smiled, running one of his fingers over her lips. "But I think we should go now before we freeze." Matthew teased, tucking in the blanket beside Leane as he stood up and handed her the white button down shirt that laid beside the blanket. Waving his wand lightly, Matthew made the now empty blanket and picnic blanket before holding his hand out for Leane to help her up.

Buttoning the last few buttons of her shirt, Leane took Matt's hand and stood up. Bending over, she grabbed her cloak and slipped in it on before slipping her hand into his and linking their fingers. Resting her cheek on his shoulder, Leane smiled up at him, "Ready?"

"Ready." Matthew smiled as he hooked on his own cloak before leading Leane back inside the warmth of the castle.

"Goodnight, Lee." Matthew said once they'd reached the Slytherin tower. "I love you." He said, wrapping his arms around her waist and giving her a soft kiss.

"Night Matt, I love you too," Leane whispered against his lips as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him close to return his kisses, "Meet you here in the morning?"

"I'll see you then, love." Matthew assured her, giving her a last kiss before going off for the Gryffindor tower to his dorm.

.

Grinning like an idiot, Leane practically skipped down the stairs towards her dormitory, barely making it to the hall leading to it as the clock struck curfew.

.

Matthew made his way back to his room, smirking when he saw a certain Ravenclaw friend of his saying goodnight to the Hufflepuff he'd seen at the library.

Grinning widely, Matthew made his way to his dorm and quickly changed before slipping beneath the covers and falling asleep.

Stretching in her bed, Leane curled back into her blankets as she looked up at the canopy. As the girls bustled about her, Leane groaned as she got up and got ready for the day. When she was finished, her hair and teeth brushed, Leane put a thin band in her hair before head out of the dormitory and going towards the spot where she was to meet Matt. Today was the day of their Hogsmeade trip, and Leane couldn't have been more excited. Ascending the stairs, Leane was dressed in a black and indigo plaid miniskirt, a double belt, an indigo cami, and a black crop jacket. A long indigo and silver pendant her only adornment besides the teardrop earrings that matched, Leane smiled as her stiletto heals clapped against the floor and she leaned against the wall waiting for Matt.

Matthew sighed as he pulled himself out of bed and pulled on a pair of black jeans and worn t-shirt of one of his favorite muggle bands.

Making his way to the Slytherin tower, Matthew let out a low whistle when he saw Leane. "Are you trying to undermine my self control?" He teased as he gave Leane a tender kiss, one of his hands tugging at the hem of her skirt.

Leane rolled her eyes playfully as she eagerly returned his kisses, "Tease. It's no different than what I usually wear. Maybe you're just finally noticing now that you're snogging me so much."

"I've definetely noticed before. Though I've never been so tempted to sneak you away to the Room of Requirements before." Matthew smiled as he let go of her skirt hem and wrapped an arm around her waist to bring her to the Great Hall for breakfast before they left.

Leane laughed as she shot him a teasing smile, "You know, dearest, they do always say - third time's the charm, so you'd better keep trying. You've only taken me on one date, so you have one more to go until I'll even consider," she teased as she placed a tender kiss upon his cheek and headed into the Great Hall where most of her friends were already waiting.

"Of course. I wouldn't want you to do anything you didn't want to do." Matthew teased as he sat beside Ben, Jack, and Nashita. "Did someone have fun at the library yesterday?" Matthew teased, looking over at Nashita.

"Well someone should mind their own business." Nashita said, sticking out her tongue as Ben filled Jack's plate and placed it in front of him.

"Especially since someone skipped half of their classes to be with their new girlfriend." Ben teased as he bit into a piece of toast.

Leane blushed a deep scarlet, "What is really that noticeable that we were gone?"

Josh rolled his eyes playfully, "Lee, if it's one thing Slythies notice, it's when the most beautiful girl in their house is missing. And when the Gryffie she's been rumored to be snogging is missing as well, one can only assume they've run off together. What time did you two get in?"

Leane rolled her eyes as she snuggled close to Matt and filled her plate with food, "Wouldn't you like to know. Not that you would know, being in detention and all," she teased with a smirk as she placed a kiss on Matt's cheek before taking a bite of bacon.

"It wasn't that bad, really." Ben laughed as Jack ate his food silently. "Snape was in a fabulous mood." He sighed, rolling his eyes.

"He's always so pleasant." Nashita laughed. "I'm very glad I avoided that detention." She smiled proudly.
