Leane blushed as she gathered her books, "I should've known that was it.. I guess I just didn't notice.. I'd been so caught up in my own problems I neglected to notice hers.. I'll make it up to her somehow.. I have to.. She's one of my dearest friends, how the hell could I not have noticed this before?! Way to fill me in you guys! You should have told me I was being so self-centered!"

"Well I wish I'd known. She's not the only alone one. She shouldn't have to hide it." Matthew said as they walked back to the castle.

"Amen, brother." Ben laughed as he opened the door for all of them. "But its okay, Nashita's tough. And she knows we're there for her." He said as they walked.

"We have to get our books. We'll meet you guys there." Jack said as Ben and Jack hurried off for their dorms.

Nashita wandered through the halls, fighting back her tears until she reached an empty corridor where she sank to the ground and let out a few quiet sobs.

Kalli was right, she didn't have anybody. Kalli had Josh and Ben had Jack. But Nashita was alone. It was no surprise that Matthew flirted around, never anything serious but still the principal was enough. Nashita was unsure of Leane's love life but she seemed happy enough.

Allowing herself to sink into a pity party, Nashita leaned her head back against the wall as the tears fell from her eyes.

Kalli sighed as she wandered the halls. Looking at the time, Kalli couldn't look any longer, even though she wanted to. Heading for the Defense Against the Dark Arts Room, Kalli sighed, "Damn it.. I really should learn to think before I speak.."

Nashita was in fact doing just that. Getting up from her sitting postion she muttered a spell to rid her face of any traces of tears. "I just hate being beaten in school work." She said, trying to convince herself as she walked into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom and sat at her usual seat.

"You weren't cruel?" Nashita said, feigning confusion but knowing the lie was obvious. "I was just upset that I was losing to Jack. My grades have slipped a little." She admitted, though they're slip had been very minimal. "I just wanted to beat him at Herbology. It would've made me feel better to beat the best in our year." She laughed though the laugh was forced and so painfully fake.

"Hey guys." Matthew said casually as he took a seat by Nashita just as Ben and Jack came in the door.

"Hey." Jack whispered as he sa in his usual seat with Ben directly beside him.

"This is what happens when you get up so early in the morning. You need constant naps." Matthew teased lightly.

"So maybe I should be sluggish in the mornings in order to stay awake later." Nashita said, rolling her eyes. "I'll catch you guys down there. Need to drop off my books." Nashita said before turning down a corridor.

"Told you she'd keep quiet." Matthew told Leane as they walked.

"Don't talk about her when she leaves." Jack warned quietly. "What if she heard you?"

Sighing, Leane headed off to her Dormitory to drop off her books. Walking back down the empty hall, everyone already gone to lunch, Leane peeked in the Potions room and it appeared to be empty. Slipping in, she headed over to the cupboard and continued her work from earlier, "I'll just do a little bit and then head to lunch before anyone misses me. Hopefully he won't notice.. it's seriously bugging me though," mumbled Leane to herself.

"You'll feel better once you've snogged Josh." Ben joked, causing Jack to remove his arm from Kalli and smack Ben playfully in the arm.

"You're so helpful." Jack said, stifling a laugh.

"I like to think so." Ben smiled proudly as the group reached the Great Hall. "Food!" He said excitedly before ushering them to their table and filling up his plate quickly.

Snape dismissed himself from the Head Table, fixed on organizing the cupboard. He detested having a mess like that in his room.

Pausing once he'd reached the Potions Room, Snape saw Leane's form bent over the jars and bottles as she neatly organzied.

"Miss Supton?" He asked, expertly keeping the small excitement out of his voice, as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Jumping nearly six feet it seemed as she bumped her head on the shelf above where she was gathering jars, Leane turned around and brought the jars to a desk before rubbing her head as she cursed, "Bloody hell.. Don't you know not to-Oh.." she blushed as she saw who it was who had spoken.

Blushing, Leane bit her lower lip as she looked at the floor, "Forgive me, Professor. I.. I just didn't like leaving such a mess here and hoped I could organize it a bit before you came back. I figured I'd organize it a bit more after dinner tonight and try and finish it if I wasn't able to finish this hour.. Sorry to have barged in like this.. I-I'd better go.." Leane rambled as she started walking towards the door.

Matthew sat in his usual seat as he piled his own plate with food and stifled a large yawn. "Oh, fabulous. Its contagious." He sighed as he leaned forward on his elbows.

Snape stopped Leane by placing his hand on her shoulder. "If you'd like extra work then who am I to stop you?" He asked, letting a small smirk escaped. "I also planned on working on the cupboard this period and I'd appreciate help." He said, removing his hand from Leane's shoulder.

Nashita moved quickly from the Ravenclaw common room as she striaghtened out her long wavy hair and hurried down to the Great Hall before Ben and Jack ate all the good chicken salad sandwiches.

Kalli rolled her eye playfully as she took a drink from her goblet to calm her nerves, "Well maybe I shouldn't kiss you now that you've completely scared the bloody hell out of me!"

Nodding, Leane took off her cloak and set it on a nearby desk. "Of course, Professor. Since I started the mess, the least I could do is fix it," she added as she headed back over to the cupboard and took out more of the ingredients.

"I was going to eat that." Ben laughed as he looked across Matt at Nashita.

"And now I am." Nashita teased, sticking out her tongue and licking the sandwich to taunt him.

Snape followed Leane back to the cupboard and began helping to set the varying jars and bottles onto the tables.

With the cupboard empty, Snape began to gather the As into a pile and alphabetized them accordingly.

Not realizing Professor Snape was gathering the A's, Leane began to gather them herself. Looking over the bottles, Leane noticed an A burried behind a few boxes and bottles near Professor Snape, and reached out to take it.

Snape reached out stop Leane's hand as she tried to take the bottle. "I'm collecting As." He said simply as he took the bottle from her hand and brought it back to his own pile.

"You know, I never understood that expression." Matthew sighed as he picked at his food. "I have a cat and a dog and they get along perfectly well." He said, earning strange looks from all three of them. "I'm just saying." He smiled as he took another bite of his food.

"You can start with the B's." Snape said as he put the A's he'd collected in order. "Shouldn't you be eating lunch anyways?" Snape asked as he put the first few jars on the shelves.

Kalli sighed as she rolled her eyes playfully, "Honestly, can we please not talk about Lee when she's not here? She should have a say in this, you know. For all we know she could be crushing and we could be making things very difficult for her," she added with a wink at Matt.

"As for this sandwich affair, I'd stop teasing so much if I were you two," she chided playfully, "You never know what kind of spell Ben may cast upon you."

Blushing, Leane finished putting away the B's and began collecting the D's, "It's been my pleasure, Professor Snape."

"And I suggest that you not skip anymore meals. You're body needs fuel does it not?" He asked, picking up his book as he waited for the next class.
