"I'm pretty sure there's a way to link it to your dex so only your bishis see it," Belle said with a shrug. "I'll ask once we go pick up our dexes again. But the money transfer is automatic, no gold to physically pick up or anything, and the monsters technically aren't real, they're just holograms."
"That's just weird, then," Andy replied. "I honestly think most of my group would stick to regular battles. I mean, Kaelas might enjoy monster fights, but I've also caught him playing 'catch the fairy' before." She snickered. "You know, teasing a cat with a laser pointer? Yeah."
Belle snickered. "Well he is a big kitty," she said reasonably. "As is Dejaal. Oooo I wonder what would happen if you tried that with both of them at once..."
"You could probably get them to run right into each other," Andy offered mildly. She snickered. "I bet we could get a fairy to agree to play if we bribed it with pizza."
A slow grin stretched across Belle's face and she turned to Thomas, who had been walking with them the whole time but hadn't had anything to add up til now.
"Hey Thomas..." "Yes, I can get a fairy for you." Thomas grinned. "I can get up to half a dozen at a time, if you like." Belle turned her grin to Andy. "Can you imagine? Six fairies and our two cats?" |
"The fairies wouldn't stand a chance," Andy replied, snickering. "The cats would be going insane, though."
"Seriously. We're doing it." Belle grinned broadly. "I'll let you play with my hair, Thomas. And tell the fairies we'll feed them pizza anytime we're near town."
"Will do." Thomas grinned and sauntered off to go make a few calls. Belle just grinned, already looking forward to this, and headed back towards the dex shop. |
"We've just created mayhem," Andy said, grinning. "This should be about as awesome as the lights in the jar."
"Oh, definitely," Belle said with a big grin. She opened the door and motioned for Andy to go first before following her into the dex place. She was curious to see what the updates were.
Andy went into the building quickly. She wanted her gear back, darn it. When it was handed back to her, she took a few moments to 'ooh' and 'aah' over it. It was new and pretty and clearly had more technology to it than her old one. Sitting down on a bench, she immediately started to play with it to figure out how the new features worked.
Belle talked with the dex person for a while, figuring out exactly how to work the monster feature. She thanked the kind woman and went to sit with Andy, browsing through all the new things on her dex and glancing through the newly updated map.
"So I figured out the monster thing, in case you're ever interested," Belle said, glancing over at her. "And I think there's a couple new territories on the way in. Like Pandora." |
"Pandora?" Andy looked up from her dex. She grinned. "Sweet. I want to go there."
"I know. I'm excited." Belle grinned. "Especially considering they're about twice our height, according to the movie. That would be kind of awesome."
"Ten feet tall, according to the official guide," Andy said, digging around in her bag for a moment. She pulled out a battered book and held it up triumphantly. "The Activist Survival Guide. Anything and everything there is to know so far about Pandora and the Avatar movie." She grinned. "I love this book. It'll be useless once the next movie comes out, but for now, it's amazing."
Belle snorted. "And I know you just well enough to not be surprised by now." She shook her head. "I've never seen that before, though."
She paused as a thought occured to her. "You know, having one around would be great for intimidation." |
"Yes it would," Andy agreed, nodding. "I really want to go there now."
"So would I, if it was out yet." Belle shrugged. "Like I said, supposed to be coming out sometime within the next year, from what I heard. So that's something to look forward to, I guess."
"We'll have to keep an eye on the update feeds, then," Andy said. "Not that we won't know when something new shows up. The world hasn't expanded for a while, so maybe something new is due out already."
"Would be cool. New places to explore are always fun." Belle grinned. "Of course, I'm also semi insane and I like to get lost just so I have an excuse to go wander around."
Andy snorted.
"I don't need a reason to get lost," she said. "I manage just fine without one." |
"This is very true," Belle said with a playful grin. "I do remember this."
She looked over when Thomas sauntered back over to them, practically basking in attention. Since it was the middle of the day, more than a few trainers and bishis were out and about, and half of them at least looked at the White Court. So Thomas was very happy. "If we stay here the fairies will be here late tomorrow," Thomas said. "Otherwise I have no idea when they'll catch up with us." "Feel like staying for a bit?" Belle looked over at Andy. "We could earn some money and go to the gym while we're here." |
"We may as well hang around," Andy said with a shrug. "I'm probably going to head back out to my dragons in a while, though."
"I figured we'd camp out there, but we can get food from here so we don't have to cook for once." Belle grinned. "And then of course gym battles and all that good stuff. Earning money is always good."
"Sounds like a plan to me," Andy replied. "I know at least Lucivar would appreciate a good fight."
"Oh yeah. I think mine could do with some good stress relief, too." Belle grinned. "Plus money is good too."
