Belle chuckled and pulled out her book to get a bit of reading in while the others were still out.
"I think once we get to the Circle of Magic area I might just kinda stay in one place, make food, and go through all my books to see what I need to get next time we're in town. As long as you don't mind." |
"I dont mind," Andy replied. "It'll give me a chance to go out and try to find a Briar and a Tris. Maybe a Sandry if I can trip over one."
Belle chuckled. "Have fun with that," she said cheerfully. "I vaguely remember those three from long, long ago."
"There were four," Andy replied. "Daja was the last one, but I don't really want a Daja. Forgework isn't my thing, and I think Dajas need to be kept close to towns where they can access a forge."
"Yeah, that sounds right," Belle said. "Briar can go anywhere, since he's plants, same with Tris and weather. If I recall correctly."
"You recall just fine," Andy agreed. "Technically, I can take a Sandry everywhere, too, as long as I can keep her supplied with thread or fibers."
"Which wouldn't be that hard to do," Belle agreed. "Most towns have knitting, threadworking, sewing, all that stuff."
"Exactly," Andy replied, nodding. "Still not sure if I want a Sandry, though. I hear they tend to be bossy. Nobility and all."
"Yeah," Belle agreed. "Although if you can deal with Lucivar I'm pretty sure you can deal with anyone." She grinned.
"I wouldn't say that," Andy replied. "I know I wouldn't be able to handle having Daemon. Very different personality."
"True," Belle said. "But also not as bossy in some ways. They're very different."
"Of course they are," Andy replied. "Elsewise, it wouldn't be nearly as fun and amazing."
Belle laughed. "Very true. And speak of the devils, there they are." She grinned as Daemon and Lucivar walked back into camp. Daemon looked a little winded.
Andy glanced over and saw them. Daemon did look winded, but Lucivar looked relaxed and slightly smug.
"There's still coffee left," Belle told them both, setting out two mugs for them. "But no whiskey. Not yet, anyway."
"Coffee's fine," Lucivar replied, taking a mug.
Belle chuckled and poured coffee for both of them before sitting back to relax for a few minutes.
"Apparently we're not that far away from the area, so we should be able to make it by midday." She looked over at Andy. |
"Sounds good to me," Andy replied. She finished her coffee and stretched. "I hate to say it, but it might even be relaxing to be in a magic-based territory where everything is a little... calmer."
"You mean where you don't have borderline-homocidal, powerful men all over the place?" Belle teased with a grin.
"Yeah, that," Andy replied, grinning. "Not that I don't adore the series, but sometimes I want something a bit less... I think homicidal is a good term for it, actually."
Belle snickered. "Yeah, I know the feeling. Sometimes more lighthearted things are good."
"Exactly," Andy replied.
"This is what I have Howl's Moving Castle for." Belle grinned.
Andy grinned.
"I remember that book," she said. "And the movie. I'm not sure which I liked better." |
"You have to look at them as different things, though," Belle said. "And they're both good."
