*Oh wait I remember! It's Shinichiro!*
"Woah, you're a Kuchiki?!" exclaimed Tamaki. Raina frowned. She didn't see what was so special about her friend's surname. C.C. had a knowing look about her and Kallen was surprised. |
(Oh...didn't know that. And I had an idea of how I can prove I'm really an important Kuchiki and not someone who just has the same name.)
"The Kuchiki family is an old millitary family," Kirihara's voice boomed. "They have been generals and soldiers for generations. We had thought them all wiped out when those Brittanians invaded our lands. It is therefore a good thing that we were mistaken. Come girl, remove that vizor so we may see you." Kiara stepped forward past Lelouch with a confidence in her stride that she wasn't sure she actually had. She reached up and removed the vizor covering her face and shook her head to dislodge some hair that had fallen into her eyes. She got the feeling that she was being studied but she couldn't see their faces. "You look like a Kuchiki," Kirihara rumbled. "But there is only one way to be sure. Girl, do you have the tattoo?" |
*um... dunno what to say here lol*
|
(I'm making this up as I go along right now so, hope this works.)
Kiara scowled at the screen before she removed the trench coat/haori and dropped it to the floor. She turned aroundn and lifted the Black Knight jacket at the back to show her back. Sitting there was a large Sakura with a stem that had roots going further down her back. Unlike a normal blossom this one was black with hints of dark red and blue. Each member of the family chose their own colours for the tattoo and she'd chosen the colours that suited her the most. She turned so that the others could see. She heard gasps all around before she lowered the jacket and slid her trench coat/haori back on before staring cooly back at the screen. "Proof enough?" |
More collective gasps.
There was a pause. "I shall give you the support you and the Black Knights need, Zero," said Kirihara. "I shall support your group so long as you lead, and that girl is part of your force." Raina felt the need to cheer, but she didn't think it was the right moment. |
"We welcome your support," Lelouch/Zero stated calmly. Kiara noticed his helmet tilt in her direction. She knew that they'd probably be having words later. She was alright with that though. She had some questions of her own. She was determined to find out at least some of Lelouch's secrets. He'd found out about one of hers today so why shouldn't she and Raina find out about one of his?
|
Since Lelouch had now rejoined them, there wasn't enough room in one car for all of them, so Kallen, Ougi and Tamaki went in one car while C.C., Lelouch, Kiara and Raina went in the other.
This car also had blackened windows on the inside, so Raina couldn't see out. She wasn't happy about this. |
"Alright," Kiara said, turning to face Lelouch. He'd taken off his mask so his face was now visible. Kiara was careful not to look into his Geass eye. "Start talking Lelouch."
"What do you mean?" he asked. "And shouldn't I be asking you that? You did not tell me that you were the heir to such an importnat family." |
"Hey, yeah!" said Raina. "Why didn't you tell me, Kiarrrrrra?" She pouted. "Are we not best friends any more?"
|
"I didn't really think it was a big deal," Kiara said honestly. "And besides right now we are interogating Lelouch here! Spill it! Why did he recognise you?"
|
"I see," said Raina, noticing that Kiara had avoided answering the question. "So you don't want to be my friend any more. It's fien I understand." She began sobbing loudly into C.C.'s shoulder.
|
Kiara groaned.
"I didn't tell you because I honestly didn't think it was a big deal. My parents were killed almost before I could remember them. I only got the tattoo a couple weeks before, (and let me tell you it was VERY sore!) and I didn't actually expect to use my real name for years and years if at all. Gomen Nasai Raina." |
"So we really are friends?!" Raina let C.C. go and started sobbing into Kiara's shoulder. She finally stopped and looked at Lelouch curiously. "Now that she mentioned it, how come he did recognise you?"
|
Kiara glared at Lelouch but still didn't look at his eyes.
"Tell us," she growled at him. "We're all equal here; all Geass users. You owe us this much Lelouch." |
"Fine," said Lelouch. "I met that man eight years ago when my sister and I were brought to this country. We were placed under his care."
"His care? You were looked after by the six houses of Kyoto?" asked Raina, eyes as wide as saucers. |
Kiara narrowed her eyes at Lelouch.
"And just why were you and Nunnally deemed inportant enough to be under the care of Kyoto?" she asked. "Lelouch, tell us. I've always wondered why someone who appears to be all Brittanian is helping the resistance. Whatever it is we'll find out the truth eventually." |
C.C. seemed to take interest in how Lelouch would answer. Raina had the feeling she already knew, however. She smiled to herself as she hugged her Cheese-kun.
"My father sent the two of us to Japan," said Lelouch. "As political hostages. My real name is Lelouch vi Brittania, son of the 98th Emperor of Brittania." "You're... a prince?!" |
Kiara stared at Lelouch for a a long time, her mind going through possibilities and going in all different directions all at once. Lelouch was a royal? She thought back to all she knew about him. She'd seen a glimpse of his heritage at the party that one time when he'd dressed as Byakuya. He'd carried himself like a noble and she'd wondered at the time how he'd managed that. Now she knew...
"What is your notivation for turning on Brittania?" she asked carefully. "I mean, you're an heir aren't you? That means if it still stands then you have a lot to inherit if given the chance. Why not?" |
"My father did nothing to protect my mother when she was killed, he abandoned Nunnally when she lost the use of her eyes and legs, and then sent the two of us off to Japan. I will never forgive him, or Brittania," said Lelouch.
"That sounds like teh Emperor," said Raina. "I've never really liked him." |
Kiara nodded her head thoughtfully at Lelouch's words.
"Alright," she said finally. "You're secret is safe with me Lelouch Vi Brittania. Just don't expect me to start bowing to you. You're ego is big enough already and it definitely doesn't need adding to." Lelouch gave her a look and she smirked. "Hey, just because you're a prince doesn't mean I'll be treating you any different. Deal with it." |
*my 3,000th post is coming up!*
"Does that mean Nunnally's a princess too?" asked Raina. Lelouch nodded. "I suppose you already knew all of this, C.C." "I did," said C.C., still hugging Cheese-kun. |
(Really? congrats!)
Kiara looked at Lelouch and then Raina. "So," she said, looking at her friend. "Me and Lelouch have told all, anything you wanna add? Or is your mam's family just a good ol' ordinary Japanese family" |
"I guess," said Raina. "She died when I was pretty young, and she never really told me about our family. And I never had any other relatives on her side. That I knew of, anyway. Although I have always stood by the belief that I am distantly related to fairies," she added seriously.
|
Kiara rolled her eyes.
"You're mind seems to work like one," she pointed out. "It goes from one thing to another really quickly." She turned to Lelouch again. "So what's the plan now that we've got the support of Kyoto?" |
"We are going to continue to expand our influence," said Lelouch. "We have had a lot more people joining us recently, but we shall need even more to topple the Brittanian Empire."
He checked the time and sighed. "I'm late..." "What for?" asked Raina. "His date," said C.C. "It's not a date!" Lelouch protested. "Shirley just insisted on -" "Shirley?" |
