Together they plowed through the other Knightmares. While Raina attacked from the front Kiara managed to sneak around and attacked from the side with her slash harkens or machine gun, whichever was closest to the target. She retreated as another Knightmare appraoched with teh slash harkens aimed for her left arm. She moved out of the way so Raina could get a shot in at the guy.

Raina shot her own slash harkens, which went right through the cockpit of the Knightmare. Raina raised the hand of her Knightmare to high-five Kiara's.
"We make one awesome team."

"Oh yeah!" Kiara replied, high fiving the hand offered by Raina. "Now let's get going. I don't think we're that far from Todou's sell."

They moved on, and saw Zero's burai approaching. It had just left the prison in a wreck, and was headed towards the truck. The Holy Blades circled around the Burai.

"Looks like he did it," Kiara commented into the radio. She turned her head to the main radio. "What're our instructions Zero?" she asked.

"We've rescued Toudou, now we're returning to headquarters," Zero announced, as he backed against the truck. The back of the truck opened, along with the burai's cockpit, allowing Toudou to step out, and into his own Knightmare.
"Colonel Toudou!" the Holy Blades gathered round and Toudou looked round at them all gratefully. He barely had tiem to enter his Knightmare, however, when a slash harken appeared out of nowhere and destroyed one of the other units.

(This is where Suzaku comes in with the Lancelot right?)

*yep. Then Lelouch pulls out fot eh fight, co-ordinates the others' moves and Toudou slices through the top of the cockpit revealing Suzaku's face. Lelouch refuses to give the order to kill Suzaku, instead choosing to retreat because it's his BFF and all*

(Yeah, I remember that part of it. I think I can remember the conversation between Suzaku and Todou as well)

"Shit!" Kiara cursed as she caught sight of the white Knightmare "It's him again! Why does he always have to show up?"
Lelouch had closed the hatch of his cocpit and had retrated a bit. Todou had closed the hatch on his own Knightmare and had stepped forwards to face the Lancelot.
"Let's just hope he can pull off another miracle," Kiara muttered darkly as she watched the two Knightmares begin trading blows.

"Don't panic," said Lelouch's voice through the radio. "He is strong, but there's a pattern to his moves. Just follow my orders."
"Yessir!"

"Alright, the first thing he'll do is come at you," Lelouch instructed. (I think I can remember the moves but you'd better do it. I'll do the part where Todou cuts through the Lancelot)

"The first attack will be a feint," Lelouch warned them. "But the second won't. He'll come at you with his sword."
Raina moved forward to block the sword attack which did, indeed come. Lelouch was pretty good, she thought.
"Next he'll retreat and circle back, cut off his escape."
Chiba landed in front of the Lancelot, while Toudou moved behind. His sword came forward, and the Lancelot managed to duck just in time to avoid anythign fatal. The top part of the cockpit fell off, and Raina stopped, too shocked to move. Sitting there, behind the control sof the Lancelot, was Kururugi Suzaku.

"What the -" Kiara's response was cut out as the radio had a burst of static but most people could guess what she said. There was no way, NO WAY that that was Suzaku that she was seeing there! This wasn't good. He and Suzaku were best friends, this could definitely impare his judgement.
"Kururugi Suzaku," she heard Todou say.
"It's you," Suzaku breathed, his eyes were wide as he stared at Todou as the hatch opened.
They knew each other?

Raina couldn't hear what they were saying, but Toudou's hatch came down again and they retreated from each other.
"Zero, your orders!" said Kallen over the radio.
Lelouch wasn't saying anything. Raina bit her lip.
The four Holy Blades rushed forward to fight the Lancelot.
"No, stop!" suddenly Lelouch's voice came over the radio.
"If we surround him he can't escape!" said Chiba.

Kiara cursed, she couldn't believe this. Lelouch was letting his personal feelings for Suzaku get in the way of his comanding ability as Zero but she couldn't call him on it...the channel was open.
'Damn it Lelouch,' she thought.

Suddenly four slash harkens appeared and beat back the Four Holy Blades at once.
"Retreat, now!" said Lelouch.
Suddenly Raina noticed all of the other army forces coming in by air.
"I can see you know the difference between a battle won and an unwinnable battle," said Toudou.

Kiara's eyes had widened when the four harkens had come out of the Lancelot.
'Nice design,' she thought.
As the reinforcements appeared and they received the order to retreat Kiara nodded her head. "Alright," she said over the radio. "I'll cover our exit!"

The Knightmares released smoke and began to flee, leaving the Lancelot in a cloud of dust.
"Mission successful ~" cheered Raina over the radio.

"Oh yeah!" Kiara replied. She passed a few crates and noticed that on the side was written "warning, extremely flamable" and she smirked before pausing for a moment beside them and concentrating. Flames leapt up and she concentrated long enough to force them to form a barrier between them and the lancelot.
'Let's see him get past that in a hurry' she thought before following the others at the back. "So waht now Zero? Return to headquarters?"
"Yes," Lelouch/Zero replied over the radio.

"That was fast," Asahina remarked to Kiara over the radio. "I didn't even see you shoot those crates."
"She's good with stuff like that," said Raina, still cheering.

Soon they were back at the headquarters and Kiara was opening the Burai. She breathed in deeply as the hatch opened. The air might be ventilated in there but she still preferred to be out in the open, tight enclosed spaces weren't really her thing. She jumped down and walked over to Raina's Knightmare as the hatch opened and she caught sight of her friend.
"Having fun?" she asked, smirking at her friend. "Looks like that hang over you had is completely gone now, good thing too."

"That mission was awesome!" said Raine enthusiastically, jumping down from her Knightmare. "We totally kicked ass... and we rescued a man from jail. And I have the coolest outfit EVER!!!"
She started doing a dance on the ground. The Holy Blades looked over at her curiously before continuing their conversation with Toudou.

Kiara rolled her eyes at Raina in exasperation and couldn't help grinning at her friend. She didn't bother changing out of her pioleting outfit. As Raina pointed out they were kinda cool and she could change later.
"Hey Zero!" she called up to the Knightmare that Lelouch was in. "You gunna stay there all day or what?"
There was no reply from there. She frowned before going over to her own Knightmare and turning on the radio, maybe he just couldn't hear her from down here while he was in the Knightmare or something.
"Hey, you coming out any time soon?"
The only response that came over the radio was the sound of Lelouch laughing. SHe frowned when it didn't appear that he was going to stop any time soon. Something was definitely wrong, this did not sound good.

*in the anime didn't he stay in his Knightmare for hours laughing his head off while the others wondered why he wouldn't come out and the psychic C.C. just stood and looked mildly worried?*

(Ah. fergot about that bit. He was having a bit of a breakdown cuz of Suzaku. I'll edit it so that everyone leaves except us and C.C.)
