*sure. he can grab Raina because she's distracted from the whole thing, and then Kiara and Lelouch can't do anything because if they do then Suzaku will shoot Raina*

(Yeah and the only one that could possibly save us from that is Raina with her abilities but since she's the hostage then she technically won't be able to do that without revealing her Geass to Suzaku and I somehow doubt that she'd wanna do that)

*No, she really doesn't like Suzaku, even though she likes teasing him... And there's no way her Ki-chan and Lulu would risk her getting killed, right ^.^*

Lelouch and Suzaku began talking, Kiara didn't say a word. Lelouch was still trying to get Suzaku to see sense and join the black knights but the former prime minister's son was determined and extremely stuborn.
"Officer Kururugi!" came a static voice. Kiara glanced sharply at the radio that Suzaku was carrying. This didn't sound good.

Suzaku glanced at Zero. "May I?"
"Do what you wish."
Raina yawned, bored with this conversation. She looked at the shiny surface of the Lancelot and wondered if she could get the position right she'd be able to see her reflection in it...
Suddenly a strong arm was around her shoulder and a gun held to her head.

Kiara just managed to stop herself from saying Raina's name out loud, that would blow their cover big time. She glanced at Lelouch, knowing that he couldn't see her eyes behind the vizor and she couldn't see his but she was sure that they were both thinking the same thing.
Shit...
'Why now of all times?' Kiara thought bitterly as she stared at Raina held tightly by Suzaku.
"Resorting to hostage taking Kururugi?" she asked, her voice sneering. "Didn't think you'd sink so low."
"I don't have a choice," he replied simply. "I've got my orders."

"What are you...?" Raina tried to look around, but Suzaku was holding her tight, the gun right next to her head. She could feel the cold end of the gun right next to her skin. And in one terrifying moment she remembered that Suzaku didn't know it was her. To him, she was just another terrorist. He would pull the trigger if he had to.
"My orders are to keep Zero here," said Suzaku. "So don't move, or I'll shoot your subordinate here and then you."
"They're ordering one of their own men to die?!" burst out Lelouch/Zero. "Don't you mind at all?"

Suzaku stared hard ato Lelouch/Zero.
"I've been ordered to," he replied simply as if that explained it all.
"You fool!" Kiara hissed at him, her teeth gritted. Right now she looked like an angry cat as she glared at Suzaku from behind her visor. "You don't even care that you're going to die too? That they won't care that they sacrificed you? That they got rid of their own soldier because he was nothing more than an eleven!" She spat the last word out as if it was the most vile curse word she knew, to her it was.
"I don't have a choice," he replied simply.
"There is always a choice," she hissed at him, her fists clenching with rage at the fact that she couldn't do anything to help Raina right now without revealing herself. To Suzaku they were nothing more than terrorists, not people he knew, their deaths would mean nothing to him at all.

"All right, put down your weapons," said Suzaku to Lelouch and Kiara. "And then move slowly towards the Lancelot. If you make one wrong move then I will shoot this terrorist here."

Kiara growled low in her throat like a cornered cat before reaching down and removing the belt around her waste that held her visible weapons. She didn't feel the need to get rid of the hidden throwing knives that she had stashed in her sleeves. Nor did she feel the need to inform Suzaku that the boots that she was wearing had special blades attached to the underside that would slip out if she moved her foto just right.
(Learnt about that handly little weapon from teh Deadliest Warrior episode I watched, aparently it was used by the K.G.B. during the cold war)
Slowly she and Lelouch began to make their way to the still open cocpit of the lancelot, Suzaku keeping a firm hold of Raina as they walked to ensure that they didn't try anything.

*Vash in Trigun has one of those boot knives ^.^*

Raina heard a sound and knew that the missiles had been launched. They were going to die here. The Black Knights tried to deflect them, but suddenly a giant shape in the sky appeared. A sky ship. It was absolutely huge, bigger than anything Raina had ever seen fly.
Then the bottom half of the ship slid open, revealing two cannons. A red energy began to gather. Raina looked between Lelouch, Kiara and Suzaku desperately. She didn't want to die here!

(They are very cool. I saw one in action...totally awesome and very handy to conceal!)

"Suzaku!" Kiara heard someone shout. Her head whipped around to see Kallen running desperately towards them, trying to get Suzaku's attention.It was no use he was completely focused on her and Zero/Lelouch, determined not to let them get away.
"You idiot!" Lelouch shouted at him.
"I don't care waht you say!" Suzaku replied hotly. "This is my chance to get rid of a dangerous terrorist!"
"By killing yourself in the process?!" Kiara demanded hotly.
"Yes!" Suzaku replied.
"You're a fool!" Lelouch raged before Kiara saw the part of his helmet that concealed his geass eye slide back to reveal the glowing irus.
'Is he actually going to...' Kiara thought in surprise. She thought Lelouch refused to use Geass on his friend. She wondered what he'd tell Suzaku to do.

"LIVE ON!!!"
Raina gasped as Suzaku released her and grabbed the controls of the Lancelot. The Gefion disturber's effects had worn off and the Knightmare was working. It began to move.
"Kururugi, your orders -" said a voice on the radio.
"Shut up, I'm not dying here!" said Suzaku. "I have to live on!!!"

Kiara grinned at Lelouch/Zero as Suzaku told his comanders to shut up, she'd LOVE to see the looks on their faces when they heard that!
Her relief however was short lived as the canon continued to charge up before it fired. Her eyes closed involentarilly and she felt the world go black.

Raina was thrown to the side as the Lancelot did a weird manouver and avoided the cannon. They went flying, away from the island, through the water. Raina bumped her head and her visor fell off but Suzaku's eyes were ringed in red. She knew he'd remember nothing of this. Just in case, she replaced her visor. She didn't want him to find out her identity.
Suddenly they came to a sudden stop. The Lancelot had crashed. Auto-eject activated, but it hadn't been designed to hold four people. With the force of the cockpit rocketing away from the Knightmare, it opened and they all went flying.

The next thing Kiara knew she was waking up. Soft sand was under her and she moaned in pain as she tried to move her right let. She managed to pull herself to a sitting position and looked at the injured leg.
'Llooks like a sprain,' she thought. 'Great, that's just FANTASTIC! I don't know where I am and I've gone and hurt myself so I can't run if I have to...this is just fantastic...'
Her thoughts trailed off as she heard a rustling sound in bushes near by. she grabbed one of the hidden throwing knives cooncealed in her piolet's suit and held it at the ready as a figure exited the bushes. She breathed out a large shigh of relief as she saw exactly who it was.
"Kallen!" she called in relief at seeing her red haired friend. Kallen quickly made her way over to Kiara.
"Hey," Kallen said. "How do you feel?"
"Alright for the most part but I can't walk, my ankle's sprained and I'm not sure if one of my legs is fractured or not."
Kallen winced before helping her to stand. Kiara wobbled before leaning heavily on Kallen for support.
"Just great," she muttered darkly. "I'm completely useless like this."
"Come on," Kallen said. "Let's find Zero. If you're here that means he's here too."
"And hopefully Raina," Kiara added. "Unfortunately that also means that Suzaku is probably here too."
Kallen's face tightened and they continued to walk on, going deeper into the forest until they came accross a river.
"We can wash ourselves here," Kallen decided. Kiara agreed, it seemed a safe enough place.

Raina opened her eyes, her head hurting. She's banged it on something. She was lying on a beach. Wet sand in her hair. She groaned and sat up, looking around her. She could see nothing but beach, and what looked like a small forest.
Her stomach groaned and she decided to go look for some food. There had to be something edible around.

They'd shed their pioleting suits, not wanting them to get any wetter then they already were, and now they were in the river cleaning themselves. Kallen was under the waterfall but Kiara had opted to be careful with her leg and was just sitting on a rock under the water with her head above the water while the current drifted over her. THe water was cool but not freezing and she relaxed into it with relief.
Suddenly she heard a noise in the bushes behind and her head turned to the side but the angle wasn't good and she couldn't see who it was from here. She debated on whether to stand or not but then her eyes widened as she caught sight of just who was coming towards them.
'Shit!' she thought as he caught sight of Kallen and her.
Kallen caught sight of him too and lunged.

(Talk about embarrassing...)

*yep... but the writers seemed to think that fanservice scenes like that are necessary. Funny how it's always Kallen who does the fanservice :)*

Raina managed to find some odd fruits growing on the exotic trees. Rather than climbing the trees she just used her geass to bring them down into her hands. That skill came in handy sometimes.
Now that she had food, she went off in search of water. When she listened hard enough she could hear running water. She hoped there was some sort of fresh water supply somewhere.

(And I got dragged into it...oh well...)

Kiara and Kallen were back on the shore now after they'd finished wrestling with Suzaku. Kiara unfortunately hadn't had any weapons on her when they were found so she wasn't much help. The two of them were huddled in their piolet suits with their black knight jackets on top with Suzaku standing over them. He'd made sure they couldn't move.
"I didn't expect to see you here Kiara Knight and Kallen Stadford." he said.
"Don't use those names," Kiara hissed at him. "My name is Kuchiki Kiara."
"And I am Kouzuki Kallen," Kallen added, glaring up at Suzaku.
His eyed had widened at hearing Kiara's name. "You're a Kuchiki?" he asked, shocked.
"Didn't you see the tattoo earlier?" she asked snidely, referring to the fact that he'd, unfortunately for them, seen both of them naked. Suzaku's face immediately flushed with embarrassment at remembering that particular meeting.

Raina found a waterfall. Perfect!
She washed her hair thoroughly to get rid of the sand, and moved further upstream to get a drink.
Next step - getting rescued. What was she supposed to do? Draw a message in the sand?
No, she had to find Lelouch. He had to be around here somewhere. She began to wander, trying to find him. But the island, unfortunately, was larger than she'd thought it was.

It was a few hours later and the sun was setting. Suzaku had released them after checking for weapons and removing all the hidden blades that Kiara kept on her much to her annoyance and right now they were sitting around a camp fire eating the fish that had been caught. Kiara could've lit the fire but she'd rather not reveal her Geass to Suzaku.
She sighed as Suzaku tried to convince them not to be Black Knights anymore.
"We're fighting for something we believe in," Kiara pointed out. "You seem to be doing the same, even if we don't agree with it. What makes us any different Kururugi Suzaku?"
"I'm fighting the right way," he insisted.
"By betraying your people?" Kiara demanded. Suzaku would't meet her eyes. Kiara stared hard at him for a couple more moments before curling up and going to sleep for the night, her mind buzzing but her body too exhausted to stay awake any more.

Raina was exhausted. She'd been searching all evening, but not found a trace of Lelouch. She really hoped that she wasn't the only one on the island...
She went down to the beach and lay her black jacket ont he sande, lying down on top of it. At least it was warm enough to sleep outside. She could see the stars too. They were pretty.

Kiara awoke stiff the next morning from sleeping on the uncomfortable ground. Her back ached where stones had cut into her and she winced as she pulled herself to a sitting position. Beside her Kallen was beginning to stir also but did not wake up just yet. Suzaku was sitting accross from them where the fire had gone out the night beore and was looking at her curiously.
"What are you staring at?" She growled at him.
"Nothing," he replied. "I'm just trying to figure you out."
"Yeah well," Kiara snorted. "Good luck with that."

Raina woke up to find wet sand in her hair again. She'd forgotten that the tide would be coming in. "Great!" she huffed, sitting up and running her hands through her hair. "Just great!"
Not the best of starts to a day.
