Zexion was glad that Demyx was back to his loving, happy mood again. Zexion was an empath by nature, so he fed off of other people's emotions, which meant if Demyx was sad then he would be sad as well. If Demyx was happy, then he was happy as well. Walking back into the kitchen he got two bowls out and two plates out, for later, as he walked over to the steaming pot of food. He took the ladle and ladled out two bowls of soup and then walked back over to Demyx as he handed him one. He sat down on the couch next to him and pecked him quickly on the cheek. Pulling away he blushed a little bit as he said,"I hope you like it."

Demyx yawned quietly and stretched his arms before rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. He didn't know why, but he was so tired. Which was weird because he hasn't done much today. He shrugged it off, figuring he'd be more awake tomorrow. The blond stood up and was about to head into the kitchen to sit at the table, but saw Zexion was bringing the food into the living room. So he smiled lightly and plopped back down on the couch. He happily took the offered bowl and blew on it lightly before taking a small bite. "It taste delicious. Don't worry." he said, leaning over to kiss his lover's cheek lightly.

Zexion was happy that the blonde in front of him liked what he was eating. He was pretty rusty about cooking still, but he was glad that the blonde liked what he was eating. Zexion took a bite of his food and instantly smiled. It was delicious! From the 3 times that he had made this dish previously this was by far the best chicken soup he had ever made. "I am glad that you like it. It's not too bland is it?"

Demyx shook his head as he took a larger bite than his last one, not caring too much about it burning his mouth some. "No! It's the best soup I've ever had!" he exclaimed. He was being completely honest too. He's had a lot of great soups in the past, but this one definitely is the best. He took another bite before looking at Zexion. "You're such a great cook~" he complimented, smiling happily.

Zexion looked at the blonde and then smiled as he snuggled deeper into his lover's arms. He loved every moment with Demyx that he could get. Getting off of the couch he placed his hand above the cake to see how hot the cake was. "I think the cake is about ready to be iced. To you chocolate or vanilla? I kind of forgot which kind you liked best so I just got both."

Demyx smiled lightly, so happy the cake was already ready to eat. He thought for a moment on which flavor he wanted... They both wounded good... How was he supposed to choose? "Can I have some of both please?" the blond asked, hoping that would be okay. If he couldn't have both, some chocolate would be just fine.

Zexion nodded as he took both the chocolate and vanilla frosting out of the shopping bag and then opened both of them. He smiled at the thought, but then looked over to Demyx, who was still sitting on the couch as he said,"Do you want to help me with frosting the cake?" He knew that the blonde liked frosting even more than he liked cake, so he knew that the blonde was sure to take him up on his offer.

Demyx didn't mind waiting on the couch while Zexion frosted the cake, but he stood up quickly when he heard the offer. "You bet I do!" he exclaimed, quickly going into the kitchen. He hoped that maybe if they had some leftover frosting, which they more than likely would, that he'd be able to eat it. That thought made his smile grow slightly and the blond couldn't resist pulling the shorter Nobody into a hug.

Zexion smiled to himself when he saw the blonde practically come flying off of the couch that he was sitting on. He knew that the blonde couldn't say no to frosting a cake. He bought extra large tubs of frosting because he knew that the blonde would want to eat some of the leftover frosting. Digging around a drawer he brought out two butter knives. Handing one over to Demyx he handed him the chocolate frosting container as he opened the vanilla one and began frosting his half of the cake.

Demyx inhaled deeply as he opened the container of frosting, loving the sweet smell of it. It took all his willpower not to just get a spoon and just eat it all. But he resisted as he started spreading the frosting over the other half of the cake. The smell from the combination of cake and frosting was making the blond's stomach twist in what he figured was hunger and he couldn't wait to eat some of it.

Zexion continued to frost his half of the cake as he looked at the blonde in front of him as he spread his own chocolate frosting on the other half of the cake. He smiled at him and then put the can of frosting down and the knife across the top of it as he went digging in the drawer for a spoon. Finding one, he took it out and then dipped the spoon into the frosting as he looked at the blonde. "Demyx," he said. "Here. I know you are itching to eat some frosting so here."

Demyx watched Zexion curiously while the shorter Nobody was digging for the spoon. "Thanks Zexy!" A smile spread across his face as he heard what was said and he kissed his lover gently on the cheek before taking a big bite of frosting... and regretting it almost immediately. Once he swallowed his bite, his stomach twisted uncomfortable and it took everything he had to keep the look off his face. The blond did not want to go to the hospital, so he couldn't let Zexion know about the feeling.

Zexion smiled when he felt the blonde's lips on his cheek. "I guess he likes it," thought Zexion as he continued to frost his half of the cake. He then looked at the blonde in front of him wondering if it was either his eyes playing tricks on him, or if it was real, but he was pretty sure that he saw Demyx grimace. Before he could even think about what he was saying he found himself saying,"Dems, are you alright?"

Demyx froze, not realizing that Zexion had noticed the look on his face. His mind raced forward and he put a smile on his face. "Of course I'm alright!" he exclaimed, patting the shorter Nobody on the head. "Why wouldn't I be?" he asked. He hoped that this would throw his lover off track and move onto something different. He didn't want the other to know that he was feeling bad and he sincerely hoped that the feeling would pass quickly.

Zexion listened to his blonde lover as he raised an eyebrow and turned to look at him with his hands on his hips. Putting the knife down on the table he leaned forward and looked at the blonde and said,"I don't know if you are telling me the truth or not, but you have given me no reason thus far to doubt you. Though if anything is wrong please tell me.

Demyx kept the smile on his face as he shook his head. 'There's nothing wrong." he insisted. But his stomach twisted again, worse than before and he managed to keep the look of pain from his face. "... I'll be right back... I need to use the bathroom..." he said before setting the frosting on the counter and turning. The blond headed up the stairs to the bathroom without looking back.

Zexion continued to look at the blonde in front of him and nodded as he saw the other male go retreating upstairs. Shaking his head he finished frosting the rest of the cake wondering if he really was telling him the truth. "Why would he be lying to me? I mean he wouldn't do that to me...right?" the more and more that he thought about this the more and more he got depressed. After the cake was done being frosted he took the knives and the spoon and placed them in the sink as he went to go and sit on the couch as he waited for Demyx to come back.

It turned out just to be a false alarm, but Demyx flushed the toilet anyway to make it seem like he went. He turned the water on in the sink and let it go for a moment before he shut it off. The blond put a smile on his face as he came back down the stairs and he sat on the couch, wrapping his arms around Zexion. "Much better." he commented, hugging the smaller body.

Zexion looked over his shoulder as he heard the toilet flush. Shrugging he continued to sit there until he felt arms around his form. He smiled as he looked at his blonde lover. "Well that's good," said Demyx as he cuddled in Demyx's arms. He knew that there was something off about Demyx, but he wanted to live in the moment right now which meant that he wasn't going to say anything. "I am glad that you are feeling better."

Demyx relaxed, glad that Zexion believed him so quickly. He really hated lying to his lover, but he really did not want to go to the hospital. But if he started to feel any worse, then he would make sure he went. The blond's smile grew when the shorter Nobody cuddled up against him and he tightened his hold around him. "So... Is it time for cake?" he asked, his attention flickering over to the kitchen. He knew he probably sounded impatient, but he wanted to taste the cake that Zexion took the time to make. And, of course, he was sure that it was going to be delicious.

Zexion looked up into Demyx's eyes when he heard the blonde ask him if it was time to eat cake. Getting off of the couch he looked at him and said,"Yes, it is time for cake." Walking into the kitchen he got out another knife, and two plates as he began cutting the cake. "Do you want chocolate frosting or vanilla? Or do you want a little bit of both?"

Demyx smiled when Zexion stood up and went into the kitchen. "Little of both please." he said, standing up. He headed into the kitchen, not really wanting to eat in the living room... At least, not until he's had the time to paint it. He didn't know why either... It wasn't really important, so he didn't think too much about it. The blond took a seat at the table and waited patiently for his piece of cake.

Zexion nodded as he leaned over the cake and began cutting it. He got Demyx's piece of cake and placed it on the plate. He began cutting his own cake. when he let out a pained cry as he dropped the knife to the floor. Bringing his hand up to his body he hugged it. "Oww!" he yelled. He wasn't ready to check if there was any blood or anything, but it felt like there was. "Way to go you idiot," he thought. "How can one cut their hand on a butter knife of all things?!"

Demyx smiled happily when his piece of cake was set in front of him. He picked it up to take a bite, but dropped it when he heard the sounds of pain coming from Zexion. He jumped up quickly and was by the shorter Nobody's side in a moment. "Oh my god Zexy!" he exclaimed, grabbing hold of the other's hand to get a look at the cut. He dragged him over to the sink and turned the water on and stuck the wound under it to clean it. "Don't worry. I'll take care of it."

Zexion sighed as his hand was practically dragged towards the sink and his hand was thrust under the water. "Demyx," said Zexion. "I am fine. Really sweetie. It's fine," He knew that the blonde wouldn't be listening to him though, so he just shut his mouth, and let the blonde take care of him. |
