As the continued to walk down the hallway to the Grey Room Zexion heard Demyx say,"I hope we have something easy to do today. [...] Do you think we'll have something easy? Or do you think it's going to be something hard?" Zexion thought for a moment before he responded with," Hopefully not. Besides, you can do whatever mission they dish out to you. Also the sooner you get done, the sooner you can join me in the library." With that he added a wink as he looked at Demyx. "Now go and collect a lot of hearts."

Demyx smiled lightly at Zexion. He was glad he had so much confidence in Demyx's ability to complete a mission. But despite all that, he hoped it wasn't a solo mission. If he was with someone else, it'd be easier to talk his way out of doing his share of the work. Then he could spend more time with Zexion. That he was actually looking forward to. He dropped Zexion's hand though when they entered the Grey Room. He wasn't sure if he should show his affection towards the other in front of other people. Just in case Zexion didn't want anyone to see them because he acted weird when Vexen found them.
"Hey Saix~ What's my mission for today?" he asked, skipping happily to the blue-haired man. |
Zexion was fortunate that Demyx let go of his hand before they had entered the Grey Room since he wasn't entirely sure that he wanted people knowing that they were a couple yet. He didn't want to say anything to Demyx to hurt his lovers feelings though He saw Demyx going over to where Saix was to go and get his mission. Zexion left the room, and went towards the library where he would be conducting the majority of his data collecting. That was until Demyx came back from his missions.
Meanwhile Demyx had run up to Saix saying," Hey Saix~ What's my mission for today?" Saix looked at the clipboard that he was holding, and then looked at Demyx as he said," You will have a solo mission to Hollow Bastion where there have been reports of a strong heartless. Eliminate it, and collect the heart(s). Dismissed." |
The smile on Demyx's face faltered for a second when he heard he was going on a solo mission. But it was back within a second. After all, he was known for keeping a positive attitude at all times. "Alrighty. It's going to be a walk in the park." he said, laughing lightly. But once he went through the dark portal, the smile disappeared from his face. 'Great... Solo against strong heartless....' he thought. 'I am so dead...' But he wouldn't allow himself to die. He won't leave Zexion alone like that. Not with Xemnas after him. He sighed as he summoned his sitar and began his search for the heartless.

Zexion entered the library where he began his research. He grabbed numerous books and began going over all of them. He was in charge of making all of the plans that the higher-ups needed as well as the majority of the research for the missions that Saix gave out to the other members of the Organization. Sighing he pushed a few locks of slate grey hair out of his face. He hated reading, a lot. Even though he had a sophisticated, well learned air about him he really wanted to do artwork, but everyone had a place in the organization. Zexion's place just so happened to be in the library doing research. He heard the door open, glancing up he wished that he had seen Demyx coming back form the mission with more hearts to complete Kingdom Hearts, but what he saw made his jaw drop. Standing before him was Xemnas. Xemnas with a grin on his face. A grin that spelled certain pain for Zexion.

It didn't take long for Demyx to find the heartless. But it did take a long while for him to actually defeat it. When the heart was finally released, Demyx was bleeding from multiple places and had been slammed into a wall on more than one occasion. His breathing slowed down as he pulled out a potion from his pocket. "Good thing it didn't break.." he muttered as his sitar vanished, going back to its place in his room. He drank down the potion quickly and opened his DTD to head back to the castle. He hurried through it, worry eating at his brain. He really hoped Xemnas wasn't going to try anything to Zexion while he was gone.
Once back in the Grey room, he turned and headed to the library, eager to be reunited with Zexion. |
Zexion cautiously looked at Xemnas as he began to back away. As he backed away his eyes darted every which way trying to find some form of an escape route. He heard Xemnas chuckle, which brought his attention back to the other Nobody. "Where do you think you are going?" asked Xemnas in mock annoyance. Zexion stammered, but no coherent words came out. Xemnas took a step towards Zexion, and that was when Zexion bolted for the door that was behind Xemnas. Not the brightest of ideas, but the only idea that seemed to come to mind at that time. Zexion would run straight at Xemnas but then sidestep to the left or right and keep running for the door. However, he wasn't expecting Xemnas to hold out his hand clothes lining him to the ground. Zexion got thrown back from the force as his back landed heavily on the ground. As his back connected with the ground he let out a choked out scream. Xemnas towered above him as he placed a black boot clad foot onto Zexion's chest pressing down on it. "Who is your master?" Zexion didn't respond as he closed his eyes. Adding more pressure to where his foot was planted he asked the question again. "Who is your master?" Zexion cried out one last time, and then went limp, falling unconcious. Xemnas looked down at the broken, rebellious form of his soon to be lover again as he scooped him up into his arms bridal style. Creating a portal he walked through it into his room, leaving the room they way it had looked before he had left.

Demyx got to the library only a minute after Xemnas had left with Zexion. "Zexy.. you here?" he called cautiously as slipped into the library. He scanned over the empty room, a frown growing on his face. He bit his lip slighlty as he walked down every row of book, looking for any sign of him. 'He said he would be here...' Demyx thought, leaving the library after looking over every inch of it. '... I bet Xemnas got him..' With that thought in mind, Demyx turned and took of running towards the Superiors' room, determined to save Zexion if he was there before it was too late.

Zexion blinked open his eyes as he looked around at the white ceiling above him. Groaning he managed to push himself up into a sitting position. He winced a little bit as his chest ached. His eyes suddenly opened more as the events of just a few hours ago came back to him. Throwing himself off of the bed he glanced around to see if Xemnas was near him. Not finding him he made a mad dash for the door leading to the hallway. Throwing open the door he went running down the hallway until he ran into something at full speed. Knocking into the figure he fell to the ground due to impact. Glancing up he sighed hin relief for he had run into....

Demyx was getting worried when he coudn't seem to find Zexion. He stumbled backwards though when he was ran into. Luckily for him, he managed to stay on his feet. He looked down to see who had run into him and relief filled his face when he seen it was Zexion. "Zexy! I'm so glad I found you!" he exclaimed. He leaned down and grabbed one of his arms and pulled him to his feet. "Are you okay? Xemnas didn't hurt you, did he?"

Glancing up he saw Demyx standing above him. He was suddenly grabbed by the arm and hoisted up as Demyx said," Zexy! I'm so glad I found you!" he exclaimed. He leaned down and grabbed one of his arms and pulled him to his feet. "Are you okay? Xemnas didn't hurt you, did he?" "He tried," said Zexion. "I managed to escape though. He grabbed me right as he left. By the way how was your mission. You seem to be in one piece."
Xemnas came back from the shower to see the bed empty where he had placed Demyx. Stamping the ground in rage he stalked out of the room in search for Vexen. Xemnas was sick of Demyx flirting and taking what was rightfully his. Knocking on Vexen's door he didn't wait to be let in. "Vexen," he said icily. "We need to talk." Vexen stood in front of him a bit shocked. He then motioned to a table that he was sitting at. |
Even though Zexion assured Demyx that he was fine, he couldn't wipe the worry completely off his face. "My mission was alright. It was hard, but I got through it with minimal damage~" he said, smiling at Zexion. He was happy that he was unharmed. And he knew that if Xemnas ever hurt him again, Demyx was not going to back down until the other had faded from exsistence. He was silent for a few seconds before pulling Zexion into a hug. "How was your day, other than the Xemnas thing?" he asked.

Zexion was glad when he heard Demyx say,"My mission was alright. It was hard, but I got through it with minimal damage." Zexion was afraid that Xemnas or some other higher power was going to try and kill Demyx, but that hadn't happened yet and he was fortunate for that. Demyx turned the tables on Zexion when he asked," How was your day, other than the Xemnas thing?" Zexion pondered for a moment before responding with," Except for the 'Xemnas thing' everything was fine. I got a lot of research done on our large scale mission. I am not done with it though yet, and I need to finish it."
Meanwhile Xemnas and Vexen were discussing something of the utmost confidentiality. "I want you to get rid of him, Vexen," said Xemnas. He saw Vexen faulter for a moment and then added," Actually, I am ordering you to make me the potion to get rid of Demyx." Vexen could only nod his head as he went and began working on the potion that would surely end the blonde's existence. |
Demyx smiled happily as he listened to Zexion talk. He nodded and took the others' hand. "Okay then. Let's go get your research done so we can spend some time together." he said, walking with Zexion to the library. Even though he wasn't exactly the best person for researching anything, he'd gladly help Zexion in any way he could to get him done with his work faster. "Just tell me what you need me to do!" he exclaimed when they got to the library. He held the door open for Zexion and waited for him to go in.

Zexion walked through the door that Demyx was holding open for him, it lead to the library. Zexion sighed as realization dawned on him. He wouldn't get anything done with the blonde in the room. All he would want to do was throw him down on the nearest table and do all sorts of things to him. He didn't want to work. Demyx's talked knocked him out of his verbal tirade when he said," Okay then. Let's go get your research done so we can spend some time together. [...] Just tell me what you need me to do!" Thinking for a moment he thought of all the books that he still needed to collect from the higher up floors. Handing Demyx a piece of paper he said," Demyx, I need you to go up and collect these books from the shelves. Could you do that for me, love?"

Demyx smiled brightly. "Of course~" he said, nodding. He took the piece of paper and scanned the book titles. These should be easy enough to find. "Be right back." He tilted Zexion's head up so that he could kiss him lightly. He pulled away after a few seconds and turned and headed up to the higher up shelves. He frowned lightly when he saw how many books he'd after go through and sighed. No point in complaining, right? He took a deep breath and headed off down one of the aisles, scanning the titles of the books to find the right ones.

Zexion felt his face being tilted up as a kiss was gently placed on his mouth. Breaking away he saw Demyx head up the stairs to go look for the books that he had been asked to look for. Zexion sat down at the table where he began going over the various books and notes that he already laid out before him. Rubbing his temple his head began to throb. Shaking his head he let his slate grey locks fall into his face as he furrowed his brow in concetration as he began reading a particularly hard article. Throwing up his hands in frustration he yelled out in carnal rage.

Demyx had found a few of the books in at least three different rows. He sighed as he mentally crossed them off on the list. It figured that he didn't have a pencil with him. But why would he? He wasn't exactly the type to have one. A worried look crossed his face when he heard Zexion yell out. He went back over to him and set the books on a nearby table. "Zexy... You okay?" he asked, worry clearly evident in his voice.

Zexion heard Demyx say," Zexy... You okay?" from the top of the stairs. "Ya," said Zexion in return. "I am just really stressed out. Sorry I snapped. Maybe I need to go and see Vexen for something to calm my nerves. Between work and Xemnas things have been really stressful to say the least. Do you want to walk with me to the infirmary?"

Demyx nodded, a smile on his face, but worry still showing. "Yeah. Of course I would like to walk with you." With that, he hurried down the stairs and took Zexion's hand for a second. But dropped it just as quickly, figuring it'd be better this way. He walked over to the library doors to hold it open for him. "Don't be sorry for snapping. It's understandable." he said, shrugging lightly.

Zexion was glad when he heard Demyx say, " Yeah. Of course I would like to walk with you. Don't be sorry for snapping. It's understandable." He knew that Vexen meant well, but was still unnerved by the man whenever he was around. Walking to the infirmary at that time was probably the hardest thing that he had ever done in his entire life. Opening the door he looked at Vexen and said," Please can you give me something for a migraine." Vexen nodded and dissapeared behind a curtain. "This is the perfect time to give Demyx the potion like Xemnas wanted." Coming back he handed Zexion a pill, and a potion. "Demyx," said Vexen. " Superior Xemnas wants all of us to take a 'booster potion' here is yours." Vexen handed Demyx a glass cup filled with a blue liquid. "It will keep you healthy don't worry about it. Come back if you feel any side effects or anything. I am working on Zexion's right now, they are all different because of body type, etc." Zexion took his pills and downed the water as he looked at Demyx. "You should probably do what he says, the last thing that you want happening is that you get sick."

Demyx watched Vexen hand Zexion the pill and held out the potion to him. He took it reluctantly and looked at it, a light frown on his face. For some reason, this felt like he was taking medicine and that was something Demyx had always hated. He swirled the contents of the cup around for a few seconds and sighed. "Well.. Alright. But only because you want me too.." he said, looking at Zexion. He raised it to his lips and took a small smile. He made a face of disguist and downed the rest quickly to get it over with.

Zexion smiled when Demyx said,"Well.. Alright. But only because you want me too." "You know," said Zexion. "I only care about you and dote on you because I love you. Besides what's the worst thing that can happen?" Zexion's head was beginning to clear as the pills that Vexen had given him began to work their magic. "Thanks." Vexen only nodded as he said," Now you two run along now. Besides, Zexion, don't you have some research to be conducting in the library?" "That's right I do," said Zexion as he tugged on Demyx's hand as he practically dragged him out of the room.
Vexen watched as the two of them left and let out a small chuckle. "I hope that poison kills every cell in your body, water user." Vexen tilted back his head and let out a mad cackle. |
Demyx smiled as Zexion pulled him from the infirmary. Although he did almost lose his balance upon standing. The potion made his stomach hurt for a second, but the pain passed just as quickly as it had come. "I'm happy that you love me." he said once they were a good distance away. Once they were alone in the library again, Demyx pulled Zexion into a hug. He smiled lightly as he tilted the others' chin up and kissed him lightly. The kiss lasted a few seconds before he pulled away again. "I want you to know that I love you too."

Zexion was glad that his affection was being returned when Demyx said, "I want you to know that I love you too." Zexion kissed back as his hands circled around the other Nobody's back. He wanted to be this way forever.
Meanwhile elsewhere, Vexen appeared before Xemnas. "Superior Xemnas," said Vexen. "What is it?" drawled Xemnas from his chair. "Have you done what I ordered you to?" "Yes," said Vexen. "That's why I came here. I came to inform you that Demyx has consumed the potion. So it should only be a matter of time before he." -laughs- "Dies.""Good," said Xemnas in return. "You will be rewarded for this. Rewarded greatly for this." Vexen dissapeared leaving Xemnas in the Where Nothing Gathers (Circle Room) Room. "Everything is coming together now, and soon Zexion will be mine. All mine." |
