Hermione and Ron hadn't been together for very long, but as far as she knew, things between them were going good. It was only the second day of the new school year, and she was walking, a smile on her face, wondering where Ron had gotten off to. She hadn't seen him in the last class of the day, but he'd been in the rest of the classes they'd had together that day. She only assumed he had gotten sick, and had to skip that class
With that in mind, the first place she checked was the hospital wing, but it was empty, save for a first year who had sprained their ankle, from what she could tell, anyways. She continued on, and finally decided to head back to the common room. On the way there, she found him. He was on a bench, in an empty corridor, snogging some hufflepuff girl that she couldn't identify at the time. "Ronald!" she shrieked in surprise, frozen. When he turned to look at her, eyes wide, she felt her eyes begin to fill with tears. "Hermione, I-" he started, but she turned and ran, before she could hear what he had to say. She didn't care, whatever he had to say was probably rubbish anyways. She found an empty corridor, that rarely got used, and slid down the wall until she was sitting. She wrapped her arms around her knees, and dropped her head onto her knees, letting herself cry. She was hurt, how could she not be? All this time, she had liked Ron, and she had been under the impression he'd like her two. When he had finally gotten the guts to ask her out, he went and ruined it by making out with some hufflepuff! She wouldn't forgive him for it, ever. |

Draco walked past Ron with the Hufflepuff girl seeing as Ron just stated "No it's fine, Eloise" and they seemingly just went back to cuddling and such. Draco ignored them and had seen Hermione disappear at that time around the corner and followed her. After a little bit of searching he had found her in the abandoned hallway that very few people even Mr. Filch himself wouldn't be seen wandering down there let alone Snape. Draco stood against a wall across from her "Well if it isn't Ms Granger" Malfoy teased. |
Hermione wiped at her, eyes, sniffling, when she heard someone speak. She lifted her head, and saw that it was Draco. "What do you want, Malfoy?" she asked him. He was never up to any good, so she assumed that he had seen Ron with his new slag. She the thought made her drop her head onto her arms again, to hide the fact that she was crying. "Just go away." she said, her words muffled by arms.

"Oh, and what are you tearing up about this time? Is it that you didn't hear about Weasly and Lillet?" Malfoy teased a bit more like knowing something she didn't for the first time was actually a good way to gloat. (Eloise Lillet=Lil-let)
