Roxas smiled lightly when he heard Axel's voice on the other side of the door. The news that they could go alone to town later made him feel so happy. He nodded, but felt stupid when he realized there was no way for Axel to see him. "Yeah. Come on in." he said, making sure his voice was loud enough to be heard through the door.

Axel opened the door and smiled as he saw the male. He grabbed the vanity chair and pulled it to the bath. He sat on it, facing Roxas. "We're going alone..." He said and smiled, running a finger over his lower lip as he watched the male. he ran a hand through his red hair and he grinned, not sure what it was about Roxas, but it made Axel act completely different.

Roxas smiled lightly when he heard they were allowed to go alone. "That's great!" he exclaimed, happy. There was a part of him that actually thought they were going to have someone else coming along. But that was about the time that he realized that he was completely naked and a dark blush spread across his face quickly. He knew he shouldn't be embarrassed, but he couldn't help it.

Axel smirked and shook his head. "I've already seen you naked, no worries. I liked it then, I like it now." He said and grinned, running his hands over the back of the chair he was sitting on. "So... alone.. we'll meet your parents and..." He shrugged, moving to stand, his hands pulling off his shirt and he smiled. "I'm not going to ask to join you, but I do want a kiss without ruining my shirt."

Roxas' blush darkened slightly, but he nodded. "Yeah. My parents are going to like you." he said, smiling lightly. His blush slowly started fading, since he knew there was really no point in it being there. He bit his lip lightly for a second. "You could join me.. If you want. I don't mind." he said, looking up at Axel from where he was sitting in the bath.

Axel waited for a minute and then touched the males cheek, moving to pull the male in for a kiss. "I think I'm going to not risk us getting caught when we're going out tonight." He then kissed the male once more and winked. "I'm going to make sure we have enough to stay overnight, they already have a room booked for us, you and I... no guards..." He smiled and kissed him quickly and stood as he slid his shirt back on. "I'll see you in a bit."

Roxas smiled lightly when he was kissed and he kissed Axel back gently. He really wouldn't have minded if the male had joined him in the bath, but he wasn't going to force him. Besides, they had plenty of time to be alone together later. "Yeah. I'll see you later." he said, relaxing in the bath. He wasn't going to stay in it much longer anyway. He figures that the sooner he gets out, the sooner they could leave.

Axel made sure all the maids had their bags ready. "Thank you." He told the head maid as she handed him an apple. He winked and bit into it. "You're too smart to be a maid." he grinned and moved to grab their bags. He took them to Roxas' room. "Roxas? The bags are packed."

Roxas only stayed in the bath for a few minutes after Axel left. Then he got out, dried off, and got dressed quickly. He was anxious to be going to town alone with the male. But he knew most of that was because they would be going to see his parents. He smild lightly when he heard the knock on the door. "Alright. I'm coming." he said, going out of the room.

Axel smiled as he went back to the stables and he kissed his horses head. "I'm sorry but I can't take you tonight... I'm going to have to take Fyre... You just can't make the trip into town." He loaded up his fathers newer horse and put the saddles on both horses, and placed the luggage evenly on them. He grabbed the Prince's riding cloak and his own and smiled. He thought it made them look evil, but the purpose was to let the shadows overcome their faces as to not be recognized.

Roxas followed behind Axel silently to the stable, glad they were able to leave with no guards. This would make going to see his parents so much easier. He bit his lip lightly though as he watched Axel put the saddles on the horses, glad he didn't have to because he was sure he would end up messing it up. It was true that he was nervous. What if his parents were mad that he had switched with Sora? He was sure that wouldn't happen, yet he couldn't keep the thought from entering his mind. He wiped the nervousness off his face quickly though. He smiled instead as he put on his riding cloak and pulled himself up onto his horse. "Ready to go?" he asked.

"Of course." He said and rose an eyebrow. He led them out, the cloak drawn over his head as he bit into his apple. They rode into town silently, Axel knew he needed to think about things. He'd made a big decision pretending to be a prince. He slowed down a few hours later when town came into view. He looked back at Roxas and gave a smile. "Lead the way." He said and gave a soft smile.

Roxas enjoyed the quiet ride to town, but that didn't stop the nervousness from growing in his stomach. As the town actually came into sight, he took a few calming breaths, which actually did help in calming him down. There was no need to get upset about it now. He glanced at Axel and returned the smile lightly as he led the way through town, passing by familiar buildings and people. He watched as his friends run past them and he really did want to join them. But he knew that he couldn't. Not while he looked like Sora. There would be plenty of time to hang with them whenever they switched back.

They walked to the far end of town and even slightly further out of it where he finally stopped. He pointed towards a small house that had a small garden in the front. "There's my house..." he said, glancing over at Axel to see how he would respond.

"...Quaint." He said and then looked at the male with a soft smile. "Alright.... let's go..." He said and then saw him. Sora was outside with a tall blond. And he looked happy. Axel turned and looked at Roxas. "You... you left this... Why? It seems nice here." He said as their horses drew closer. Sora looked up and his eyes widened.

"Ax---el..." Axel looked at him and frowned. He and Roxas looked NOTHING alike. Axel sighed and slid off the horse. "Good horse." He said and then held out a hand to help Roxas off his own. "This... This is just a visit right? I don't want to go back Axel. Don't make me go back."

Roxas smiled lightly as they drew closer to the house. He felt bad though.. Why had he left his house to go stay at the palace? Well... Sora had asked him too switch places with him.. and he did want to see what the palace life would be like. But being back here, Roxas wasn't sure if he'd be able to leave. He actually missed being home and sleeping in his own bed, even though he hasn't been gone for that long. He took a deep breath to steady his nerves before taking Axel's offered hand as he slid off the horse. He shot a smile at Sora. "It's just a visit. Don't worry." he said. He wasn't going to force Sora to switch back with him.

Cloud raised an eyebrow as the two approached. So that's where Roxas has been... He glanced at Axel for a few seconds before turning his attention to his brother. "Hello Roxas.. Who's your friend?" he asked, his attention going back to Axel. Roxas glanced at Axel, not sure what he should say.

"I'm Axel, I've been watching out for Roxas while you've been....watching out...for the prince. I'm the king's right hand man." He said and then saw Sora frown. "You both shouldn't be outside, especially you Roxas, not while Sora looks like you. Let's go inside?" He asked and Sora nodded slowly.

Sora took Clouds arm and tugged him a bit. "Cloud... Stop worrying about it and just go inside." He said, dropping his hands and sighed. "What's your mom going to say Roxas, she knew I wasn't you immediately. It took hours for me to calm her down. How did dad do?"

"He has no idea." Axel said.

Cloud narrowed his eyes suspiciously at Axel before sighing. "Well.. It's nice to meet you.. I guess.." he said, not seeming to like Axel for some reason. His attention drifted over to Sora for a second before he smiled lightly. "And I'm not worrying about nothing." he said, turning and heading into the house.

Roxas raised an eyebrow lightly at his brother. He knew the older blond wasn't too fond of people touching him and was curious as to why he let Sora do it, but figured he'd ask about it later. He smiled though when he heard that his mother saw right through Sora's disguise. He knew he probably shouldn't be happy about it, but he was. That just showed that she loved her son enough to know whether or not he was there. He turned his attention to Axel. "... Maybe I should go in first so we could talk first before she meets you. It'll raise your chances of her liking you if she's more prepared to meet you."

Axel licked his lips and nodded, Sora wandering over in his direction. "Don't make me go back... I like it here."

Axel raised an eyebrow and looked at Cloud entering the house with Roxas. "I bet it's more than the location you like... Sora, why did you run off in the first place?! He's... He doesn't fit in at the castle. I'm having to constantly cover his ass."

"Axel, I was tired of playing me." Sora said and then sighed. "I wanted to be normal... I didn't want to choose a Princess, I wanted to choose a Prince. And being here... I got to do that. Don't make me go back."

Axel sighed and pulled Sora into an awkward hug. They had a mutual understanding no matter how much they despised one another on a general basis.

As expected when Roxas walked into the house, his mother almost strangled the life out of his as she hugged him. He actually almost lost consciousness by the time she let go. She demanded to know where he's been and he answered as best as he could while Cloud picked through what she was making for dinner.

She shot the older blond a glare and he backed up. Roxas told her that there was someone that she wanted to meet, and she grabbed hold of her hand and walked with her outside. He didn't want Axel to see how small his house actually was on the inside.

She glanced curiously at Axel when she stepped outside and she approached Axel and Sora. "Hello." she greeted, her tone polite while she looked at Axel.

"Hi... Ms... Roxas' Mom." He said with an awkward smile. Meeting the parent was kind of... embarassing and all he wanted was for it to all work out. He held out his hand to shake hers but looked at Roxas to make sure that was the right thing to do. He belonged there. He belonged with his mom... His family... Axel was beginning to think he couldn't take him away from it. "Sora..." He whispered and Sora saw the look.

"No, Axel. No! I'm staying, I LIKE it here!" He said and Axel shut his mouth for a moment and breathed through his nose. He didn't want to answer anyone at the moment.

"Call me Misa." she said, smiling lightly as she shook his hand. She thought of maybe giving Axel a long series of questions, like how she did with Leon when she first met him, but she wanted to give him some space at first. She could tell just by looking at Roxas how much he liked the redhead. She didn't want to scare him off.

"Now that we're acquainted, would you like to come ins-" Misa started to say, but Roxas interrupted her. "No! Um.. I mean, we're not really staying for long.." he said. He didn't want Axel to see the inside. There wasn't really much room in the first place, and adding more people wasn't exactly the best idea. He just hoped that Axel wouldn't mind not going inside.

"Roxas.... We don't have to leave just yet. We just got here and you haven't seen your mother in days." He said and licked his lips. He glanced at Roxas again and frowned. "I was actually born in Bethel, the tiny town just south of here?" He asked, figuring he knew what his lovers issue was. He also knew what his mothers initial reaction was since he used to have one of his own. He figured he'd indulge her. "Six brothers, two sisters, and a small chicken farm. You have no idea how hard it was to find room for anyone to sleep over!" He said and laughed.

Sora looked at Axel strangely. He'd never learned about him. Axel was pretty quiet about that kind of stuff. "My family worked for the king when he travelled the lands as guides. When I was... probably about 4, my parents had another child and there just wasn't any more room so being the easiest to train at my age the King took me back as his right hand. I kind of miss the small houses and town air. It feels like coming home..." He said and gave a light smile.

Roxas had been hoping that Axel would have wanted to leave as well... But he did have a point. He hasn't seen his mother in a long time and he was happy to see her. But he raised an eyebrow at what Axel had said. He had not expected to hear that from him. The redhead didn't seem like he came from such a big family. But he did have to admit it must have been nice. He would have loved to have a family that big. But his mother was actually his adoptive mother and she couldn't have any more kids after she had Cloud. So in all actuality, he was lucky to have a brother.

Misa tilted her head to the side curiously with a smile on her face. "That sounds nice.. The big family part. I would hate to have to be away from ,u family at such a young age." she said. She patted Roxas on the head, knowing that she'd never be able to put either of her kids through that. "I insist that you come inside." She turned to look at Roxas, suddenly remembering something. "Oh! Roxas! It's actually a good thing you came by today. The doctor's coming by later today to give you your check-up." At that, Roxas frowned... Great.. Another doctor check-up.. That's just great...

"Thank you." He said and then Sora frowned, following them inside. "Axel..."

"Don't worry about it Sora, I don't think I have it in me to make anyone miserable." He said and smiled when Roxas gained a pure look of disgust he smiled. "Except for that. THAT was cute." He murmured and then put a hand on the males back and leaned in. "Sorry if it seemed like I was pushing to stay here, you just deserve to see your mom for more than a few minutes." He said and slid his hand down his back and it fell away.

"We have until tonight to be at the place we're staying tonight." He said and smiled.

Roxas raised an eyebrow and glanced at Axel. "It's fine.. You weren't pushing me." he said. It actually was a good thing that they showed up when they did. He has a form of chronic bronchitis and it would have been weird if he was suddenly cured of it. The doctor estimates for it to last a few more months. Luckily it wasn't contagious, otherwise he would have avoided Axel as much as possible. He took a seat at the small kitchen table as his mother moved over to the stove to finish her dinner preparations.

"Can I offer you in anything to eat?" she asked, looking over at Axel as she resumed her chopping of her vegetables.
