Sora nodded as he looked at Roxas as a severe looked crossed his features. He nodded again as he said,"I know that it might be a inconvenience to you, but could you pretend to be sick? I don't meant to be a hindrance to you, but this is the first time in a while that I have had time to myself. So please, for my sake, can you bear with it a little longer?"
Roxas nodded, glad that he wasn't being forced to switch back. "Yeah. No problem. Just let me know when you're ready to switch." he said, smiling lightly. He thought quickly of a way to pretend to be sick... He just really hoped that he wouldn't have to force himself to throw up. But he would if it was a last resort.
The show ended and Axel looked to his right to see that Sora wasn't there. Glancing at Riku he asked where the blonde went. Riku looked at him and shrugged. As the crowd surged out of the tent that the performance was in the two of them decided that they would look for him when they were out. Coming outside they noticed that Sora was nowhere to be found. Maybe, the blonde wasn't feeling well or something. Going off to the side of the entrance Axel watched through the crowd of people for the blonde.
Sora noticed that the performance was over and looked at Roxas and said"I will leave for now, and hopefully Axel doesn't think anything of it. That guy is so suspicious of everything. Then again he has a right to be, right? I will leave through the entrance on the side and you go out the back." |
Roxas nodded. "Alright... Just come hunt me down when you want to switch back." he said, before turning and heading into the crowd that was coming out of the entrance of the tent. He kept his eye out for Axel and when he spotted his red hair, he made his way over to him. He dropped his gaze to the ground as he grabbed hold of Axel's arm. "I'm sorry.... I wasn't feeling good so I stepped outside." he said, hoping that the redhead wasn't too mad at him.
Axel looked around as he saw the blonde come running up to them. He waved at the blonde and said,"Hey there we were looking for you. Are you feeling alright?" His brow furrowed at what Roxas had said maybe all of the excitement was making his stomach go nuts or something. "It's getting late we should probably head back to the palace. Besides, I have more advisor meetings tomorrow morning. Early tomorrow morning."
Roxas nodded, glad they were leaving. Even though he wouldn't have minded staying at the festival for a bit longer. But at least this way, there wasn't a chance of running into Sora again. "Yeah... That sounds good." he said. Riku shot a worried look at 'Sora', really hoping he wasn't going to end up being sick. If he was though, he'd make sure the blond would be feeling better as soon as possible. So he took hold of his hand and started heading back to where they kept the horses, glancing back to see if Axel was following.
As the three of them walked back towards where they tethered their horses, Axel took Sora's hand and as he waited by the blonde's horse. He wanted to help the blonde into the saddle so he wouldn't fall trying to get into the saddle on the horse. The last thing that he wanted to happen was for the blonde to get hurt by getting on a horse.
Riku glanced at Axel and 'Sora' for a second before taking hold of the blond's hand as well. After all, they had decided that the boy was riding back to the castle with him. Roxas glanced at Axel for a second before pulling his hand away from the redhead and allowed Riku to help him up onto the horse before the silver haired man got on behind him. He hoped Axel wouldn't have minded that too much.
Axel grumbled a little bit at what the silver haired youth had done, but didn't pay it any mind as he mounted his own horse and made his way back towards the castle. The sun began to dip behind the horizon when they arrived at the castle gates, and were greeted by the guards that were there. One of them looked at Axel and said"I am to remind you that you have meetings tomorrow until dinner time, and that you best be heading off to bed."Axel rolled his eyes as he continued his way passed the gates. The guard had been right though today had been a big day, and the next day to come was going to be even larger. He had to go through last minute treaties.
Riku had spent the ride back to the castle with one arm wrapped around 'Sora's' waist, to prevent him from falling. The other hand held onto the reins loosely, ready to tighten its grip in a moments notice. Roxas didn't mind much with Riku having his arm around him like that. But he couldn't stop himself from glancing every once in awhile in Axel's direction to see how he would react. Once they got back to the castle, the blond frowned lightly when he heard what Axel had to go through the next day. It looked like they wouldn't be spending much time together again. He knew that thought would make Riku happy enough. And even though Roxas wouldn't mind, he still would have wanted to spend some more time with Axel.
Riding his horse over to the stables he got off of his horse as he looked at the horse that "Sora" and Riku were on. "When you dismount," he said. "I can take Sora to his room." He looked at the silver haired knight and gave him a look that meant that there would be no questions about this. Offering his hand to the blonde he waited for the blonde to take his hand so he could help him dismount off of the horse.
Riku was about to protest, but nodded. Arguing with Axel wouldn't do him any good. So he slid off the horse, and even though he was extremely tempted to help 'Sora', he forced himself to walk away. Roxas glanced uncertainly at the hand that Axel was offering, but he took it and slid off the horse. Thankfully, he managed to stay on his feet and his smiled lightly at Axel in thanks.
((You put made Axel call 'Sora' Roxas when he spoke... Just FYI.)) |
((Haha, I saw that woops))
Gripping "Sora's" hand he led him to his room where he bent down and kissed the blonde on the cheek. He didn't know what had possessed him to do such a thing, it just felt normal and natural. He wanted to be closer to the blonde so he went and kissed the blonde again as he hugged the blonde. |
Roxas didn't mind much that Axel was holding his hand. Mostly because Riku wasn't there to fight about it. When he felt Axel kiss him, a blush spread across his face. He tried to fight it off, but decided that he didn't care that it was there. He knew he should probably get away from Axel as fast as he could, but he couldn't bring himself to move away from the redhead.
Axel pulled away from the blonde as he looked into his ocean blue eyes. "Good night, my prince," said Axel as he knelt down and kissed him on the hand. "I bid you a good night. Maybe, we will hopefully have some free time tomorrow, or at least we can dine with one another. Good night." Having said that he bowed and then walked away towards his own bedroom with a skip to his walk.
The blush on Roxas' face darkened some and a small smile formed on his face. "Good night..." he said, watching Axel walk away before he turned and going into his room. The blush slowly started fading once he was in the room. He knew he shouldn't be leading the redhead on, but he couldn't help it. He really did like him and wanted to be around him. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair as he changed for bed, deciding to just worry about it tomorrow.
Axel entered his own bedroom and closed the door behind him. He had declined moving into his father's room since this is where he had been all of his life. He felt comfortable here. He let out a sigh as he sat on his bed before stripping down to his boxers as he went to go and grab some sleeping clothes. Shrugging into those he climbed into his bed and immediately fell asleep with a smile on his face as he thought back to the adventures and the memories that he had had with the blonde.

Roxas glanced down the hallway and was glad that it was empty. So he took a deep breath and headed outside to the stable. It took a lot of nerve for him to be able to put a saddle on a horse and pull himself up. He needed to speak with Sora and it was better the sooner they talked. He just hoped he'd be able to get back before anyone really noticed he was gone. Thankfully, Riku was busy today, so the possibility he'd notice was slim. Roxas took a deep breath as he led the horse out of the stable and out of the castle walls, heading to town as fast as he could. |
Axel was walking down the hallways as a councilman was prattling things off towards him. He rolled his eyes. He hated things like this. All he wanted to was ride his horse. As he stopped he glanced out the window noticing that someone was on the horse Oathkeeper. That was Sora's horse. He saw a shock of blonde hair and knew immediately who was on the horse. Turning towards the councilman he said,"Hold that thought. I just remembered that I have something very important to be attending to. If you would please excuse me." With that being said Axel ran towards the stables, bridled his horse. and went racing out of the stables bareback following closely behind the blonde.
Roxas couldn't really hear the other horse approaching since his heart was pounding loudly in his ears. He could barely hear the sound of his own horse's steps. He was completely tense and didn't relax until the town came into view and he was able to slow down. He sighed in relief as he guided the horse through the streets towards the direction of the house, keeping his eye out for any sign of Sora.
As Axel continued to follow the blonde he made his way to the town. Thankfully, a lot of the people were out in the fields doing their Spring planting so there would be very few people that would notice him in the streets. He noticed that Sora was maneuvering his way around the town like he knew the place which Axel found odd since he knew that Sora had only been to the town once or twice always with Axel. Besides, he had never gone this way to go to anywhere in the town. He would just have to wait to see where the blond was going to go.
Roxas slowed the horse down as he approached the small house on the far outskirts of the town and he slid off the horse, landing unsteadily. He grabbed the reins from the horse and tied it to a branch on a nearby tree. He patted its neck before casting a quick glance around before heading up to the house. He knew that his parents weren't home, so he just slipped inside the small building. "Sora? You here?" he called.
Axel watched from around the corner as he saw the blonde get off of the horse, tether it to a tree, and then walk into a seemingly strange horse. He halted Flame and tied him to a nearby branch as well as he walked the rest of the way. He was less noticeable if he were to get away than another horse was. As he passed Oathkeeper the stallion nickered out a sound to him. He patted the horse on the neck as he waited around the corner. He heard the name Sora. Why was he reffering to himself in third person.
Sora heard the door open and looked over the banister to see Roxas standing there. ,"Roxas," he exclaimed. "What are you doing here?!" He came down the steps as he looked at the blonde as his wild brown hair bounced as he moved. " You'r enot supposed to be here. Why are you here?" Axel, from outside the door, was even more confused. He stepped back from behind the door and walked into the door frame as he said,"I also would like to know what is going on as well." |
Roxas was glad that Sora was here. It saved him the trouble of having to hunt him down. He smiled lightly at him and opened his mouth to answer the question on why he was there when he heard Axel speak from behind him. He froze. That wasn't good. How had he not noticed that the redhead had followed him?! He forced his body to relax and he turned to glance at Axel. He drew in a shakey breath. "Axel... What are you doing here?" he asked, taking a small step backwards away from him.
Axel was confused. Very confused. Confused to the point that he didn't really have words for telling him what he wanted to know. ,"Sora," said Axel motioning to "Sora." "Who is that?" As he looked at the other figure he noticed that they could have passed off for each others twin. He put back his head as he let out a sharp bark of laughter. This was just too good. This had to be fake. This all had to be a huge misunderstanding, right? Right?
Sora didn't know what he was going to do. He contemplated briefly about running through the door, the one that Axel was in front of. Probably not the best of ideas. He decided that he would just stand there as he started to go back up the stairs as he tried to practically melt into the wall. |
