Tira raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What makes you say that?" She asked.

Yukina had to smile." I promsed Kalin I wouldnt die on him...."

"You promised Kalin?" Tira asked in surprise. "That was the young man causing trouble...why did you make that promise to him?"

Yukina smiled."because hes not how he was before,hes backto his old self",she said softly."plus he said he loved me",she said softly."weather he willever act on that ... im dought full,but i know he cares",she said pauseing looking around."and he sid hednever want to here ive been killed"

"I see," Tira said skeptically. "Anyway, let's find out what's taken this building down."

Yukina noticed her skepyisim but let itgo."right",shesaid as they walked around ,keepingan eye out for things.

Tira reached into an inner pocket and pulled out a small flashlight. She turned it on. "This should make it easier to see the farther in we go." She said.

Yukina smiled."witch will be a good thing",she said looking around closely.

Tira paused when she saw a kind of writing on the floor. "What on Earth...?" She asked. She knelt down and studied it, and her eyes went wide when she saw what it was.
"Somebody tried a human transmutation...that's why the building caved in." She whispered. "Oh shit....." |
Yukina gulped."not good",she said worried

"Question is, where's his--or her--remains?" Tira asked. Whoever tried this had to have been a highly skilled alchemist. But.... She knelt down, studying a sigil. "I've never seen this on a Grand Arcanum transmutation circle. Or any transmutation circle, for that matter."

Yukina blinked looking as well."this is incredable ... in a really bad way",she said softly. Trying to make sence.

"Yeah, you got that right." Tira said. She put the flashlight in her teeth and pulled a pen and paper out of her pocket to copy down the sigil. Now...this makes me wonder about the rest of the circle. She thought.

Yukina stood up and looked around."ou here that?"

Tira looked up. "Yeah, I did." She replied. "It came from down the hall."

Yukina looked to her."I'll go cheack it out"

"You sure you'll be able to handle yourself?" Tira asked.

Yukina gave a bright smile. "yeah I'll be okay!"

Tira nodded. "Be careful, and keep that promise to Kalin." She said.

Yukina looked back at her and grinned. "i will",she said softly and walked along the hall way.

Tira watched her. "Time to find out what this transmutation circle looks like." She said. She clapped her hands and placed them to the floor to move the rubble. She gasped when she saw what was underneath.

Yukina sighed walking down the hall way,keeoing her gard up. Keep my promis to Kalin .. easyer said then done. And whats with him anywase? he tells me how he feels, and just when i think things will be good, he tells me that he isnt a girl friend type guy ... he would have been better off NOT telling me. Instead i put my arm around is like some lovey dovey school girl. He must think im a conpete IDIOT! Yukina though to herself then blinked feeling something up ahead."hmm someones there", she said lowly,and turned the cornor,only to be faced with a dark hall way. Glareing some she made her way down it.

Tira caught herself staring at the remains in the center of the circle. "He tried human transmutation...on himself?" She asked in shock. In all her 400 years of life, she had never seen something like that. The alchemist in the center had been reduced to a pile of bones and flesh and hair. And it smelled. My god...it's rotting. She thought, holding her hand over her nose and mouth. Carefully, she stepped closer. As she stepped into the circle, it started to glow in activation. Immediately she stepped back off. "Hair-trigger activation...it doesn't even take the act of performing alchemy to activate this thing." She muttered.
She looked down at the circle itself. It wasn't anything she'd ever seen. The runes were something she didn't recognize. I wonder where this guy found it, Tira thought. They're not from Xerxes, or Xing. Hell, it doesn't look like any language I can recognize. |
Yukina walked along the darkened ahll way and came to a stop when she herd laughing."huh?",she werled around to see no one behind her."great now im letting the creapy place get to me", she muttered softly then conuied walking. Her sencis on extra high.

Tira took a deep breath and lowered her hand from her face. "Looks like I'll have to make a copy of this circle." She said, drawing out the circle itself. All the while, wondering how to get the rotting corpse out of the center without activating the circle.....
