Sasuke smiled in his sleep when he felt Naruto wrap a protective arm around him. He blushed slightly as he wondered what it would be like "to be" with Naruto, but then he stopped since he didn't want to get too ahead of himself. Maybe some other time Sasuke could join with Naruto completely, but that would mean that they would practically be married. Then it hit him. His father was very old fashioned. That was it! If he married Naruto then his problems would be solved. His father hated Orochimaru and the only reason that his father was marrying him to him was so that Orochimaru wouldn't destroy their empire. If he got more followers than Orochimaru then his father would approve of it. "That's it!" yelled Sasuke as he sat up in bed. It's perfect.

Naruto had always been a light sleeper. He always needed to be in case someone attacked while his guard was dropped. Tonight was no exception. So when he heard Sasuke shout out, he jumped up quickly, scanning the room for an enemy that wasn't there. He blinked a few times when he seen that the room was safe as he turned his attention to Sasuke. "What's it?" he asked, his mind still a little groggy from sleep. He rubbed his eyes so that he could wake up more and try to understand what was going on.

Sasuke looked around not knowing that he had actually said that out loud, but he looked at Naruto and said,"Think about it. My father and I don't like Orochimaru, but my father also fears him. So he was forcing me to marry him in hopes that he wouldn't completely crush our nation. However, what if I married someone that he trusted, and that he knew would protect his kingdom against invaders. What if I married you, and we formed allies with the other nations surrounding ours." Sasuke looked at Naruto completely out of breath from what he said.

It took a few seconds for the words to sink into Naruto's brain. When the information finally clicked, a blush spread across the blond's face. "You want... To get married." he said. It wasn't really a question. More like a statement. Like he was trying to wrap his mind around the idea. He bit his lip for a second. "Do you... really want to marry me?"

Sasuke thought for a moment and then he snuggled closer to Naruto. "You said that you like me, and I like you. It's like an ends to a means. If it's recognized by father then we can go back to living in the palace, and there won't be anything trying to harm us there." Sasuke paused dreading what he was going to say next because he was a little afraid on hearing the blonde's reaction but he had to know as he said," Would you marry me if I asked?"

Naruto thought for a moment. Sasuke did have a point. They both liked each other... But would they get permission from the King? That was the main deal. And as for the people not tying to harm them, the blond wasn't convinced that was true. After all, those two men who had attacked them could have easily killed Naruto, but they just kept him unconscious. Which meant that they were taking him somewhere to be killed. It had to have some meaning. But he remained quiet about it, not wanting to worry Sasuke. He smiled at the question and tilted Sasuke's chin up to kiss him lightly. "Of course I would."

Sasuke was very happy when he heard the blonde say that he indeed wanted to get married to him. He smiled at the blonde as he kissed him deeply. "Now we have to find more allies, and then we can go back to the castle and ask for my father's blessing. If we get a lot of people to back us up it doesn't matter who it is. My father just cares if they are ally or foe." Sasuke yawned as he snuggled into Naruto again. "We should talk to Hinata and her father tomorrow."

Naruto smiled as he nodded. He knew that Hinata would be happy enough to ally with Sasuke's nation, but her father might not be so big on the idea. He pulled Sasuke closer, wanting to keep him safe as he closed his eyes again, ready to fall back asleep. But his mind wouldn't settle, still happy about the fact he was getting married. He couldn't wipe the look off his face as he finally, slowly drifted off to sleep.

Sasuke was happy that things in his life were starting to look up now. He hoped that Hinata and her father would support his endeavor, and their union as well. Sasuke closed his eyes as he placed a smile on his face as he fell asleep for the second time that night.

Naruto woke early the next morning, like he normally did. It took a few seconds for him to remember where he was. That, and with Sasuke in his arms, was a big reminder. A blush spread across his face for a second before he wiped it off, knowing there was no need to be embarrassed. But they were going to get married! The thought brought another smile to the blond's face and he hugged Sasuke a little tighter, hoping he hadn't woken him up.

Sasuke was having a good, a wonderful dream at that. He had a dream that his father accepted Naruto and him as a married couple, and that everything was going according to plan. Orochimaru was never seen again, and he was being crowned king because his father stepped down due to age and not death.
He was then awakened when he felt a small pressure on his chest as if something was hugging him. Cracking his eyes open he looked around and saw that he was still in bed with Naruto. "Morning love," he said as he untangled himself from the blonde a little. |
Naruto froze for a second, mad at himself for waking up Sasuke. But he relaxed his body as he smiled. "Morning." he greeted, not loosening his hold on his prince. He leaned over to lightly kiss him for a second, still so happy that they were actually together. "How'd you sleep?"

Sasuke smiled into the kiss as he felt the blonde's lips on his own. He opened his mouth to allow the blonde more access as he rolled back over so that he was under Naruto's body. Pulling away he looked at the blonde and said,"I slept very well thank you. I am glad that we slept together. How did you sleep?"

Naruto happily slid his tongue into Sasuke's mouth when it was opened up to him. But the kiss ended a lot sooner than he wanted, but he didn't say anything. Instead, he just smiled lightly. "I slept great." he said. He knew that was mostly because Sasuke was there while he slept, wrapped safely in his arms.

Sasuke looked at the blonde and smiled as he got out of the bed and stretched as he went to go and touch his toes. He felt completely relaxed, which was very different seeing as how he hadn't felt like this in a long while. He looked at Naruto again and smiled at the blonde. He knew that he was doing so much for him. Sasuke smiled at the thought of rewarding his knight, but he didn't know how. "Do you want to go and try to take another bath before we try to find Hinata and her father?" asked Sasuke.

Naruto watched as Sasuke got out of the bed and stretched. A smile formed on his face as he stood up as well. He thought about what was said for a moment. They did just bathe last night... But the bath was so refreshing and if they went to talk to Hinata, then the blond didn't know how much longer they'd stay here. So he nodded. "That sounds good to me~" he said, planning on enjoying as much as he could here before they had to leave.

Sasuke smiled as he went and grabbed another robe and his body wash and other supplies as he headed towards the door. He walked out into the hallway as he tried to remember where the bathing room. Walking back into the room he looked at Naruto eyes a little downcast as he said," I don't know where we're going. Can you lead the way again?" Sasuke turned his gaze towards Naruto as he looked at him and smiled even though he was having a mental battle in his mind. "God you are so useless," he thought to himself. "Why would Naruto pick someone like you?" At thinking that Sasuke turned his gaze back to the ground again as he waited for the blonde to get ready his thoughts making him awful depressed.

Naruto gathered his things as well and was about to follow Sasuke out into the hall when the prince came back into the room. He smiled and stepped up to him, lifting his chin so he could kiss him gently. "Of course~" he said, grabbing hold of Sasuke's hand and leading him from the room and down the hall. He arrived at the bath and held the door open so Sasuke could go in first.

Sasuke felt his chin being lifted as he felt the blonde kiss him gently. He smiled into the kiss as he felt his hand being taken by the blonde as well as he was led down the hallways and corridors until they were in front of the door to the bath again. Sasuke walked through the door that was being held open for the blonde again. He turned and smiled at the blonde and then stripped as he went into the water as he let out a sigh.

Naruto made sure the door was closed before he followed Sasuke, stripping down and stepping into the warm water. He let out a sigh as the warm water instantly seemed to relax his muscles. Even though he did have a very restful night, he couldn't help but relax more in the water.

Sasuke loved the water that was floating around him. He moved towards Naruto and kissed him as he pressed his body against Naruto's. There was a slight blush on his cheeks as he looked towards the water and the steam again. Why was he being so forward with the blonde. For gods sake he had just told him that he was in love with him. What if he was moving too fast.

Naruto smiled lightly when Sasuke kissed him and he wrapped an arm around the prince's neck, pulling him closer as he kissed him back. A blush spread across his face, not really knowing why he was embarrassed. But he didn't think much of it. All that matter right now was that he was here, with Sasuke.

Sasuke felt an arm wrap around his body as he was brought into the arms of his lover and kissed deeply back. He smiled as he saw a blush begin to creep up on Naruto's fine features. Breaking away from the blonde he looked at him and said,"Don't be nervous or embarrassed. It's just us two."

Naruto nodded slowly. "Yeah. I know that." he said, his heart rate a little faster than it should be. He lightly ran his thumb along Sasuke's cheek as he pulled him in for another kiss, his fingers lightly running through the hair on the back of Sasuke's head.

Sasuke felt Naruto run his hands over his cheek and he immediately blushed again as he was brought into another kiss. Breaking away he looked at him and said,"We need to get ready to meet with Hinata later. Come on. He smiled at the blonde as he went wading through the water so he could get to his shower bucket. Grabbing the soap he came back to Naruto he was about to lather up his washcloth when he dropped the soap into the water. "Oh crud," said Sasuke as he bent over in the water looking for the soap.
