Sasuke felt someone grab his hand. Turning around he glared at the blonde haired knight and tried to wrench his hand away from the blonde. "Let me go," said Sasuke as he tried to pull his hand away again. "Owww! You're hurting me let me go!" At this point in time he was beginning to yell a little, and some of the doors opened as some of the other patrons looked at him. He tried to walk forward and managed to move forward a little bit, but then stopped as he huffed. He knew that Naruto would not hesitate to knock him out if his safety was at stake due to his own stupidity.

Naruto frowned at the sight of Sasuke's glare. Why was he fighting? Did he want to get caught? Naruto's grip faltered for a second when he heard that he was hurting his friend, but then it tightened. There was no way he was letting him go and get dragged back to the castle to marry the creepy snake Orochimaru. He shot an apologetic look to the patrons that had come out into the hall. "Sorry people!" he said, before turning his attention to Sasuke. If he wasn't going to relax and come with him, then there was only one option. The blond's other hand reached out and quickly striked Sasuke in a weak point in his neck, hopefully knocking him out.

Sasuke felt Naruto's grip falter a little and he managed to wiggle his wrist out a little from the blonde warriors but then it was again stuck in the vice grip as apparently a new vigor spread throughout Naruto. Sasuke didn't really know what was going on around him, or who was watching him. Quite frankly he really didn't care at this point in time. The only thing on his mind was getting away from the blonde so he could stop the blonde from getting killed. He suddenly felt a sharp pain in his neck as he felt his knees buckle forward as his vision blurred for a moment. It was as if everything was going in slow motion as he felt himself fall forward.

Naruto was glad when the patrons headed back into their room. Apparently what was going out in the hall wasn't important enough. But when Sasuke started to fall, the blond quickly let go of his wrist so that he was able to wrap his arms around him. He picked him up bridle style and left the onsen, knowing that the sooner they left, the better. He kept his mind at attention as he made his way through the dark streets, heading to the place he had been planning on going to in the morning.

Sasuke's first sensation was that there was a breeze flowing through his blue-black colored hair. Cracking his eyes open he noticed that the sun was beginning to rise around them. He found himself snuggling into the warm arms that were carrying him towards a destination unknown. Glancing upwards he looked at to whom was holding him. Of course it was Naruto. "Naruto," he said. "You can put me down now. I can walk on my own." He then added. "Sorry about the trouble that I am putting you through. I thought that if I went back willingly then they would leave us alone. I won't run I promise." Hopefully, the blonde would put him down so he could walk himself.

Naruto hadn't been expecting Sasuke to wake up so soon. He had been planning on being at Hinata's by then. But once he knew that he was awake, he evened his strides to not jostle him any more than necessary. He thought over what was said. Could he trust that Sasuke wouldn't run? He wasn't sure.. but he knew that if he tried, he'd be able to catch up easily enough. So he nodded and slowed to a walk so that he could put Sasuke down. "It's fine. You don't have to apologize."

Sasuke was glad that the blonde had listened to him. If he wasn't going to be able to get away from him at the onsen then he had to think of something that he could do to make Naruto immobile for a little while or at least until he could get a distance away. He thought of what he had. He didn't have very much supply wise, but he did have sleeper root that he had with him that was used to calm his nerves. If someone took it in a large dose it would knock them out for a while. He decided that when it reached closer to noon that he would ask if they could stop and he would go and make the blonde and himself some tea. He felt utterly guilty for doing this to the blonde, but he knew that he would feel even more guilty if anything happened to the blonde.

Naruto started walking again, keeping a close eye on Sasuke. Apparently Hinata's place was a lot further than he had originally thought. But they should be getting there sometime today. After all, it wasn't that hard to miss. The building was huge! But now, along with keeping an eye on Sasuke, he still needed to keep his eye out for those two men he seen at the onsen. Even though he wouldn't admit it, the stress was starting to get to him. But he needed to stay strong and confident so he didn't end up making Sasuke worry and have him run off again.

Sasuke continued to walk behind the blonde as he looked at the blonde and said,"Naruto, are you alright. You look really stressed. Let me make you some tea or something." Sasuke stopped as he took his bag off as he began rummaging through it's contents. "It would make me feel better if you had some tea, and relaxed a little."[

Naruto glanced back at Sasuke, uncertain. He really didn't think they should stop right now. Especially since they were making such good progress. But he was feeling stressed and some tea did sound good... So he nodded. "Alright. But quickly though." he said, going to stand by Sasuke.

Sasuke nodded knowing that he what he was doing would make him feel guilty later. Bringing out some cups and a kettle he looked at the blonde and said,"I saw a nearby stream could you go and get some water? I'll be here, I promise. It's not too far away either you'll be able to see me from here." Hopefully, the blonde would leave so he could double to the amount of tea leaves that he placed in the cups to make the blonde fall asleep.
Meanwhile back at the onsen Deidara opened his eyes as he looked around. Sasori's arm was draped around his waist as the other was still asleep. Looking around again he stretched as he managed to manuever out of Sasori's arms. Glancing at the nearby clock he noticed that the time said that it was much later in the day then they had intended on staying. Shaking Itachi awake the dressed hastily and left through the window, not paying for their bill. They ran towards a place that they knew that the two of them were probably going. They were heading to Hinata's and they both knew that as soon as they got there they would have to leave to gather reinforcements before attacking such a fortified place. |
Naruto was silent for a second before nodding. He figured it was fine as long as he was still able to keep Sasuke in sight. So he headed and gathered the water quickly, glancing at Sasuke every once in awhile. Once he deemed that they had enough, he returned to Sasuke and handed it to him. He hoped this tea break wasn't going to take much longer. They really needed to get going soon. Who knew when the enemy would actually find them.

Sasuke rummaged thorough the various contents of his bag as he looked for the tea leaves. Pulling out a small canister of the tea leaves he placed just the right amount in his mug, and double the amount in Naruto's mug. He glanced over his shoulder as he saw Naruto coming back with the water. Holding out his hand he was given the mug as he placed it on the ground in a spot where there were no leaves or foliage as he created the hand signs for a small fire spell. He got the small fire going as he got the water to boil. Taking the water off of the heat he poured hot water in each of the glasses as he handed one to Naruto as he took the one with the right dosage of tea leaves in it as he drank from his mug.

Naruto waited for the tea and smiled lightly when it was done. "Thanks." he said when Sasuke handed him the mug. He blew lightly on it, hoping to cool it down some before taking a small sip. He wasn't at all suspicious of the fact that Sasuke put something in his drink. After all, why should he? He glanced up at the sky before taking a larger drink, wanting to get it down quickly so that they could get going. But once the cup was empty, the blond started to feel light-headed. He shook it off though, figuring it was because he was tired and he stood up. "Ready to go?" he asked.

Sasuke looked at the blonde as he took a small sip. He smiled at him as he took a small sip as well cursing in his mind and willing the blonde to take a longer, larger sip of the tea to get the leaves working. He was glad that the blonde did do just that then as he downed the whole thing. He took the mug back from Naruto as he nodded to the blonde that he was ready to go again once he had placed the mugs back into his sachel after he had finished his off as well. Given Naruto's stamina, but also taking into account his fatigue, Sasuke knew that the blonde would be asleep soon. |
Naruto nodded and turned towards the direction they were heading. He had only take a few steps though when the light-headed feeling returned. He started to feel dizzy and he looked back at Sasuke. "What... did you... put... in... my..." That was all he managed to say, his words coming out a bit slurred, before he collapsed to the ground, unconscious. The last thing he expected was for Sasuke to betray him like that. Yet he couldn't bring himself to be mad at the Prince. He must have had a good reason for doing so.

Sasuke continued to walk behind the blonde knight as he noticed that Naruto began to sway a little bit. Sasuke knew why the blonde was swaying and looked down at his feet when he saw the blonde beginning to walk off of the path. He grabbed Naruto from behind as he heard him ask what he had done to him. "I am so sorry, Naruto," said Sasuke as he willed Naruto to hear his please of apology, but he was pretty sure that the blonde hadn't heard him. This was the only way that the blonde would be safe and out of harms way when the two people that were following him caught up to them. He saw Naruto fall forward into the ground as he bit his lip. Hopefully the blonde hadn't had hurt himself in the fall. Dragging him off to the side of the path he hid him behind some bushes and shrubs to conceal his location. As he placed Naruto there he planted a small kiss on the blonde's forehead as he stood up and turned around as he said,"How long have you been following us?"

Deidara smiled lightly when he had spotted their targets in the distance. Normally he would have rushed forward without a second thought. But he wasn't in the mood to be scolded, so he waited impatiently for Sasori to say it was okay. But he raised an eyebrow lightly when he seen Naruto fall to the ground without any outside force knocking him over. That was odd... Sasuke must have put something in the tea. A small smile grew across his face. Even though he was looking forward to a challenge, it would still be worth it to kill the blond knight.. Even if it meant taking him somewhere so that when he woke up, he could torture him. "Long enough." he said, taking a step towards Sasuke when the Prince turned towards them. "You've been a bad boy prince.. And you should know, that's not going to save your knight." |
Sasuke took a step back as he looked for a possible escape route. This wasn't going according to plan at all. He had planned to drug the blonde and get away fast enough so that the assassins would begin to follow him instead of Naruto. He took another step backwards as he continued to look for another escape route. He was in a forest surrounded by trees so he knew that he would be unable to use any fire jutsus because of Naruto being unconscious. He knew that if it had been just him he would not have hesitated to set the forest ablaze. "Leave him alone," said Sasuke as he heard his own voice waver in his ears. "If I go with you will you leave Naruto alone?" It was a long shot, but he assumed that Deidara, by the looks of him, was lazy and didn't want a fight. He could appeal to his nature kinder nature.

The smile on Deidara's face grew when he seen how uncomfortable Sasuke was. It was obvious by the way the boy was reacting that he hadn't thought to far into his plan. He tiled his head to the side curiously. "Leave him alone? I'm not too sure we can do that." he said. Upon closer inspection, Naruto appeared to be one of the Jinjuriki that their organization was after. It's a shame really. He was actually looking forward to killing him. He turned his attention over to Sasori, though he never let Sasuke get out of his sight. "What do you think Sasori-donna?" he asked.

Sasuke's eyes widened when he finally recognized the person that was in front of him. It was Deidara, a S-Ranked Criminal. What on god's Earth had he gotten himself into? He weighed his options he could either run or fight. Running seemed to be the better option right now, because if he ran he would imagine that Deidara would see that as a challenge and leave him within an inch of his life. Also that maximized the chances that Naruto, albeit unconscious, would be caught in the crossfire as well. Sasuke knew that it was a long shot, but he knew that desperate times called for desperate measures. He had been reading how to perfect lighting style moves, and he chose one that fit his personality. He made the hand signs as he looked at the blonde as his arm was engulfed in a bright light as the sound of birds filled the air. He had never used this before in all of his life, so he didn't know how to control it, nor did he knew how long it would last.
Sasori approached Deidara as he looked at the prince and the unconscious warrior behind him. He smirked at the blonde and said,"Whatever you want, just don't hurt either of them too much. We need them both alive. For our means, and for Orochimaru's means as well." |
Deidara pouted for a second before nodding. "Fine... Ruin my fun." he said, sighing lightly. He turned his attention to Sasuke at the sound of the loud, chirping noise. He tilted his head to the side curiously. "A lightning technique? Are you sure you could control it?" he asked, sliding one hand into his side pouch, grabbing onto some of his clay. He knew he wasn't supposed to kill the Prince, but hey, accidents happen, right?

Sasuke shook his head as he listened to the blonde in front of him jeer and ask him if he was capable of controlling such a high level technique. "Of course I can," yelled Sasuke as he began running at the blonde that seemed to be digging on some pouches for something. Sasori stood there as he watched the dark haired youth go running towards Deidara. He smirked when he saw the other male using a high level lighting jutsu. He was 100% positive that he would lose control over it. Sasori widened his eyes though when he noticed that Deidara was going to be using his exploding clay on him. Cursing he ran to the blonde and grabbed his hand as he looked at the blonde and said,"Remember no accidents. It will be our lives if we fail. He didn't want to fail this mission, nor the one with obtaining the jinjuriki."Besides, think about it you can kill the blonde whelp once we get what we want from him. We need the prince alive though." |
Deidara sighed. Of course Sasori would ruin his fun. It wasn't as if he was going to kill Sasuke. He was just going to use a blast strong enough to knock him out and cause minor injury. But he retracted his hand from his pouch as he nodded. The redhead did have a point... "Alright.. Fine. Ruin my fun.." He pouted for a second before sighing as he turned to look at Sasuke. He was easily able to sidestep the approaching attack and hit a pressure point in his neck, hopefully knocking the boy out without having to do too much work.

Sasuke ran towards the blonde bomber with lighting speed. He wasn't prepared for the blonde to sidestep out of the way as he went forward and totally missed the blonde. He tripped a little bit as he fell forward losing his footing just barely missing the strike to his neck as he swung around and jumped backwards as he glared at the blonde. He would be fooled once by that trick, even though it had been done by Naruto, and never again. He began making hand signs again for Chidori again as he charged it up again. Hopefully being this close to the blonde meant that the blonde would have less chance to react.
As he charged the Chidori up again he thought back to something that his father had told him in regards to the Chidori."Remember that you can only use this power twice a day until you get stronger. If you try to use it more than twice at your current state you could die." Sasuke shook his head ridding himself of those thoughts as he went charging at the blonde again. "Dodge this!" he yelled. |
