"Well, the train doesn't leave for another hour. I checked. We'll see if we can make it there in an hour." Aleron shrugged, starting to walk.
"Alright," Margaret replied. Maybe the walk would help her calm down a bit and figure out what was going on.
Aleron walked a little faster than she normally would have, wanting to get to Goldenrod with enough time to get her own ticket and then get on.
Margaret kept up with her. She wanted to get there quickly, as well, but she had her Magnet Pass to get on the train with.
As soon as they got to Goldenrod, Aleron went and bought herself a ticket before she got on with Margaret.
"Let's see if we can find a window seat for the two of us..." |
Margaret looked around before darting over to a pair of seats before someone else could take them. There weren't very many people on the train, since it was still early in the day, and she was grateful.
"This should be fun," Aleron said, sitting down in one of the seats and relaxing back against the seat. "How long does the ride take?"
"A couple hours," Margaret replied. "Not long, considering how far the train as to go."
"Yeah. It'll still be fun to watch, though." Aleron smiled, eager to see everything.
Margaret nodded.
"The train tracks go practically right past the Indigo Plateau," she said. "I think you can see Celadon at one point, if you look carefully." |
"Oooo, awesome." Aleron grinned, looking out the window as the train started moving.
Margaret settled in for the ride. She'd taken the train before, so it wasn't quite as new to her, and she was going to see about snagging a few more hours of sleep.
Aleron was too excited to sleep, and spent the whole ride looking out the window and watching everything go by.
Margaret managed to get a little bit of sleep, but not much. The train ride seemed far too short, and it didn't seem to take very long to arrive back in Saffron.
Aleron was ready to go look around once the train stopped, and she looked over at Margaret. "Okay, you get to lead the way here."
Margaret yawned and stretched as she got off the train. The air in Saffron was much more familiar to her, it smelled like home.
"Alright," she said. "First, I want more coffee. There's a nice little cafe down the street that makes this absolutely amazing mocha, if you're interested." She checked the time. "It's the middle of the day, so my parents are at work. That means I need to stop at home and get my security badge so I can get us into Silph Co." |
"That sounds fine with me," Aleron agreed with a little grin. She wouldn't mind getting some mocha. She loved mocha, even moreso than coffee. She looked around as they walked, taking in the city.
Margaret walked with her to the cafe and went in. The cafe was a small family-run thing, which explained why their products were so amazing. Margaret went right up to the counter and put in the order for her mocha, and then turned to Aleron.
"What do you want to have?" she asked. |
"That sounds good to me, as well," Aleron agreed. She was still looking around curiously.
Margaret nodded and had them add the second mocha onto her bill. She didn't mind treating Aleron this time.
"Thanks," Aleron said with a smile. She was looking forward to being able to look around.
"No problem," Margaret replied. "Was there anything in particular you wanted to see before I drag you to my house so I can pick up my security badge?"
"No, I'm watching everything as we go along," Aleron said with a little grin. "It's more fun this way, to my mind. You can show me everything later."
"Alright," Margaret replied as she got her mocha. "Let's go, then. My house isn't far from here." She grinned. "You'll get to meet my Exeggute."
Aleron snickered. "Well that sounds promising."
