Aleron got up bright and early the next morning, still a little groggy but willing to start walking so they could get a move on. She went over to try and wake up Margaret.
"Margaret. Come on, time to get going." |
Margaret mumbled something incoherent and pulled her sleeping bag up over her head. Typical morning, legendary guest or not.
Aleron just looked at the pokemon. "Get her up without too much noise, please." Then she went to go make some food for them.
Margaret's pokemon all looked at one another. Then Exeggute used Bullet Seed, putting just enough power behind it to make it sting a little instead of hurt. Margaret jumped.
"Okay, alright, I'm up already!" she said, using her pillow as a shield. "Really, I'm up!" |
Aleron laughed; she couldn't help it. "Alright, get up so we can get going."
"You are all so mean," Margaret complained good-naturedly as she gathered her things and put them away.
Aleron snickered. "Well, if you weren't so lazy," she teased good-naturedly, munching on her breakfast.
"I am not," Margaret protested. "I'm just not a morning person. I never have been, just ask them." She gestured towards her pokemon.
"I get that. But you also don't like to get up, which is definitely not our fault." Aleron shrugged, totally without sympathy.
"Yeah, yeah," Margaret replied. "I like sleep." She grinned. "Besides, it makes my group get creative, which is good."
Aleron just rolled her eyes. "Come on, we should be ready to go soon. Mewtwo said he was going to go look around, but I'm sure he'll be back soon."
"Alright," Margaret said. It didn't take her too long to get her things packed and ready to go. "Are we going back to Saffron or what?"
"I think we're heading back towards Saffron and then back to Johto. I think." Aleron shrugged. "Mewtwo isn't really forthcoming with what he's thinking."
"Alright," Margaret replied. "There are three ways back into Johto, as far as I know. The Magnet Train, the ships going around the coast, and the gate to Victory Road."
"We need not worry about transportation," Mewtwo said as he returned. "Are you ready to leave?"
"I'm ready to go," Aleron said, glancing over at Margaret. |
"Ready," Margaret agreed, recalling all of her pokemon but Espeon. It was habit to leave her Espeon to wander on her own, and the pokemon liked being able to walk around.
Aleron recalled Jolteon, but she wasn't prepared for what happened next. They all started floating, and her eyes widened as her feet left the ground. They flew up farther into the air before heading towards Johto at incredible speeds.
Margaret flailed a bit, not having expected to start floating, but Espeon just gave her a flat look. Obviously, it was nothing new to a psychic-type.
"Don't give me that look," Margaret muttered. "This is way different than hitching a ride on Metagross." |
Aleron didn't seem too thrilled to be in the air. She and Vulpix stayed close together; they both liked to keep their feet firmly on the ground.
Margaret relaxed a little after a moment. It didn't feel quite as unnatural to her as it seemed to for Aleron and Vulpix.
Aleron just waited for it to be over. When they finally landed again, she could tell they were back in Johto.
"Show me where you have seen problems." Mewtwo looked at the two of them. |
"Bellsprout Tower," Margaret said. "Bell Tower. Out around the National Park." She wasn't entirely sure where they were at the moment, since she wasn't that familiar with Johto, but she remembered where they were each time they nearly got killed.
Mewtwo nodded. "We are not far from the National Park. We will go there first."
Aleron nodded and headed in the right direction, looking around as she did. |
"Sounds good to me," Margaret replied. She moved to follow Aleron.
Aleron continued looking around, just being cautious. But when Mewtwo stopped and looked around, she froze. That couldn't be good.
