"Oh those gyms should be easy. The fire-oriented I can use Gyarados, and I can use Jolteon on the water-oriented." Aleron grinned. "And everything else we can train for. I can probably get mine used to psychic-types by working with yours."

"Yeah, Sabrina has a wicked Espeon," Margaret said. "He's older than mine, and crazy fast with Shadow Ball." She grinned a bit, embarassed. "We had the most trouble in that gym. It's always rough against your own type when they use the same tactics you do."

Aleron nodded. "Yeah, I know the feeling. It sucks when someone uses your own tricks against you, especially if they've had more practice at it. There's usually a few moments of 'but that's not fair!' accompanying that scenario."

"We got in a couple of lucky shots," Margaret admitted. "That, and a part-steel-type. I was never so grateful for Hammer Arm."

"Yup." Aleron chuckled. "Yeah, I've had a few moments like that. Mainly against grass- and water-types, but still."

Margaret nodded. Then she grinned.

"But taking on some of the junior trainers is fun," she said. "They never seem to expect off-type moves."

"Of course not. They're very straight-forward thinkers." Aleron grinned, just a touch evilly. "That will be fun. I have missed that."

Margaret grinned and sighed a bit.

"Yeah, you can take the trainer out of the battles, but you can never take the battles out of the trainer," she said. "Trainers like us aren't meant to retire from battling entirely, I don't think. I know I wasn't cut out to be a breeder or anything."

"Nah, not entirely." Aleron shrugged. "I don't mind running this place and doing some breeding, but not like my parents did. They were very intense about their breedings, and I can't do that. Besides, training and battling is just way too much fun to give up entirely."

"Yeah," Margaret agreed. She stretched a bit. "Although this isn't a bad home base to come back to."

"Not at all. It's got everything we need, it's nice and private, and we've got room to expand if we need to." Aleron grinned. "It's basically perfect."

"Exactly," Margaret said. "And it's quiet out here, since it's so remote. That, and because we have so many legendaries hanging around."

"Yup." Aleron grinned. "It's nice, huh?" Definitely nicer than the ranch her parents had.

"It is," Margaret said. She grinned at her friend. "You did a really, really good job with it."

Aleron grinned. "Thanks. Learned from my parents' mistakes, and all that." She looked over at Margaret.

"You know, I've been wondering if there's anyone else out there like us. With the type affinities."

"There have to be," Margaret replied. "They tested every known type at Silph Co, after all. I'm sure they found matches to most of them." She looked at her friend. "Why? Did you want to go looking for them?"

"I was thinking about it," Aleron admitted. "It might be neat, to go meet some others. Besides, who knows what they've done with themselves? We might be able to help, if they need it."

"There have to be files somewhere," Margaret mused. "Scientists love their files. I can try to find some, if you want."

Aleron shrugged. "Whenever you feel like going back to Silph Co., I guess. We can look for the files, if you can get me in again I can help." She paused for a moment. "Although I do feel bad for the pokemon there. They seemed kinda lonely when I visited."

"What about everyone here, though?" Margaret asked. "If we're both in Saffron, who will look after things here?"

Aleron shrugged. "Dunno. Although the only ones that really need looking after are our pokemon. The legendaries can take care of themselves. But maybe you should go by yourself for now."

"What about Ralts?" Margaret said. "If they drop off one pokemon that needs looked after, they may drop off more. I can go and see what I can find, and then I'll come back. That way, you can go out and do whatever it is you want to do, and I can look after everyone here."

Aleron shrugged. "Well first we'll see if you find any files or anything in Silph Co. If that fails then I'll think of something else."

"Junior trainers," Margaret said suddenly, blinking. She looked at Aleron. "If we don't find anything in Silph, we should look at the junior trainers in the gyms. That's where I would go, if I had no other way to be near my favorite type."

"...huh." Aleron grinned. "That could be worthwhile. I doubt any of them would be gym leaders, but they could certainly find good jobs working at the gyms."
