He looked a bit surprised once Ric took the book from him. "Thank you." he muttered, grabbing his quill and reading to him what he needed to do. "It sucks when I can't figure it out.." he muttered, rolling his eyes. Herbology had never been one of his strong points. It was one of the reasons why he had wanted to not take it. Of course, the school demanded it of him.
Travis smiled, kissing him lightly as he held Lavi's hand. "Just rest." he muttered, watching him start to drift. Allowing him to sleep, he leaned down and closed his eyes too, sleeping. He liked the warmth Lavi provided. |
"Here try this..." Ric said to him as he explaining to him in a more easy way, which he was basically talking shadow talk as he explained better about what he was suppose to be doing in Herbology. "Does that help?" he asked him, still not saying his name or anymore about the mark on his nose or about what happened during the two weeks that he was sick.
"Tray...." Lavi mumbled in his sleep as he tightened his grip onto his hand, unknowingly had to kiss him back in his sleep, he rolled over, still holding onto Travis's hand which basically would cause Travis to get pulled into the bed with him. |
Shadow listened to what Ric was explaining. Surprisingly, he was actually starting to understand as he wrote everything down. When asked if he got it, the red head nodded. "Yeah. why is it that the teacher doesn't explain it like you do?" he asked, sounding slightly annoyed. It would save them all the trouble. At least now he would be able to retain the information that he was given.
"Oh." he muttered, slightly in surprised as he was forced onto the bed as well. Since Lavi rolled over, it made it so that he was hugging him. Snorting in amusement, he smiled a bit. "Silly Avi." He pulled him against his chest, nuzzling his neck. He was so tempted to just bite him. Of course it would be impossible since they were in the hospital wing and the boy was recovering. |
"That is because i am explaining it to you in your language. The reason that she doesn't is because she is speaking a different language from you." Ric said to him as he handed him the book back, thinking on things before he sighed really heavily, leaning close to him as he read what he had written down on the paper. "You got that part wrong......" he said as he pointed it out to him.
"Tray......unh.....no...st-stop......" Lavi mumbled in his sleep, moaning a bit, clearly having some suggestive dream as he rubbed against him a bit and even wiggled some. He cuddled into Travis, clearly in his subconscious he wanted to do more then just hold and kiss Travis. |
"Then how the hell am I supposed to pass it if she doesn't speak it?" he asked, growing more annoyed as he took the book back. It was impossible since every time he tried to understand, he got confused. Gaining a confused expression, he looked at the spot that was wrong. "So what was it?" he asked, frowning as he crossed the section out. Even with it being explained, he did mistakes. This was starting to become a bit more hopeless for him.
Travis' eyes widened, blushing a bit. He'd never imagined that Lavi would have those type of dreams. He was rather curious to know just what exactly it was that was happening. As if that would happen. His subconscious might want him, but when he was awake.. It was a completely different matter. He pulled him closer and kissed his neck lightly but didn't do anything more. "Calm down." He would have to ask Ric if he ever did this in his sleep. |
"I will do all the notes that i have to where you can understand it but that is about it......" Ric said to him as he sighed heavily, telling him what was the correct thing in a way that he could understand and even a five year old would understand it. "Why don't you just drop the class?" he said to him as he sighed and leaned against the tree, thinking a bit.
"Unh.....no....don't!!!" Lavi cried out in his sleep as his face was flushed and he pushed Travis away some like he had been trying to stop him from doing something that he didn't want to happen, making a even more flushed face before he grunted a bit before he sighed as he relaxed and cuddled back into Travis. |
Travis blinked before he sighed, letting him cuddle as he held him again. It almost sounded bad. He didn't really like that. But the face he had was almost irresistible.
"Thank you.." he muttered. "Because they won't let me." They meaning his parents. Of course, nobody really knew anything about his parents other than they were a very wealthy and old blood family. He usually only went home for the summer. They wanted him to pass all his classes, and that included Herbology. Dropping subjects didn't even come across as an option. |
(lavi is just sleeping now lol but yesh he was being bad lol)
"Sure.....why won't the let you?" Ric asked him as he turned to the next page and then explained to him what it said in a language that he could understand while he waited to find out more about Shadow's family. Okay so yea he could see the future but that doesn't mean that he could see the person's past, he still needed them to tell him about it. |
"Just cause." he replied, writing everything down. "They don't want any excuses for my failing a subject." While he did seem to play around a lot with people, his grades were all rather good. Just one class. His whole future was set out in stone for him. No room for any mistakes, so he had to pass that one class. He was to become someone in the Ministry of Magic. Preferably someone of power. His parents would pull strings and that was that.

"Well if you don't need the subject for the job that you want then there is no point in taking it....they are just unreasonable." Ric said to him in a matter of fact tone of voice as he marked out what he had gotten wrong and told him the correct answer for it. He then read it all over again as he made sure that he didn't miss any mistakes before he moved on to the next question that he was suppose to be answering. |
"That's them." he explained, sounding like he was very much used to it. They wanted to have him be well rounded. So he would fit into any job they wanted him in. Muttering another thanks, he wrote it down and allowed him to help him with the next problem. "So, what subject aren't you good on?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He was probably excellent in all due to his ability to see everything.

"I can't Apparite......no matter how much i try and work at it i always get spliced......." Ric mumbled to him before he sighed some and lifted up his sleeve to show the faint scars that he had on his arm from where he got spliced while trying to apparite from one spot to another which sucked for him since it would come in handy for him.

His eyes widened a bit. "That is, something different." he said. He would have thought that the boy would be rather good at that. "Well, that would explain why you're not taking the apparation class with the rest of us. And there's always other means of transportation." Including the side along apparation. So that way he wouldn't be doing it alone. He reached down to trace the scars a bit. "I didn't see these on Halloween." he muttered.

"Just the truth....." Ric said to him as he shrugged a bit to him, not finding it a problem right now, it was just a fact, it was the one thing that he couldn't do. "Yea....have to have private lessons....yea but i need to be able to apparate alone." he said to him as he rubbed at his face, making sure that the bandage was still on his nose, can't wait for it to disappear. "That is because you were more concerned with sex and my female body then what i really look like."

Shadow nodded shortly. "I see. Hopefully you will get the hang of it in due time." he offered, shrugging. "Well, could you really have blamed me? You were teasing the crap out of me and there's only so much I could've taken." he said, almost sighing. It was mostly the sex part he was concerned with. He supposed he could've been more considerate of his feelings. The boy hadn't been complaining at all though. So that was a plus.

"Maybe.....but i doubt it since i don't even know what i am suppose to be doing or what i am doing half the time. Just lucky the important things are not harmed." Ric said to him as he closed his eyes and leaned against the tree as he enjoyed the feeling of Shadow tracing the many pale scars that he had gotten from being spliced. "I never said that i blamed you, besides i was only doing what i had too just like you were only doing what you had too. It was just meaningless sex like all the other times you had sex." he said to him in a matter of fact tone of voice, clearly saying there was nothing to it and not to worry about it since it was nothing, but he also didn't tell him that most guys would learn everything they could about the person's body that they were having sex with instead of just going too it.

He kept tracing the scars, using an experts touch. "I could try and help. You help with my homework, I try and help you with the apparition." he offered, raising an eyebrow. "If you hadn't gotten sick, maybe I would've memorized it or something." Of course he was just using excuses. Normally he was good at remembering details. But it had been a rather, weird day. Something he hadn't really planned or anything. "It wasn't exactly meaningless." he stated, shrugging. "But sure. lets go with that." Whatever made him feel better. Or right.

"Maybe....but don't you want to avoid me?" Ric mumbled to him, clearly relaxing for the first time in a long time, shifting a bit as he was getting slightly uncomfortable. "Maybe....maybe not.....why do you say it wasn't exactly meaningless? We had sex, you have no feelings for me so i think that would be considered meaningless." he said to him as he lazily opened his eyes some, yawning a little bit before he picked the herbology book up once more and looked for the question that Shadow was suppose to be answering next.

"I'm not avoiding you right now, am I?" he asked, letting his hand fall back down his side. "It could work out well. We both benefit from each other." He usually liked those deals. Were some of the few he made. He smirked, shrugging. "Well, you were the only one who got to be my 'fiancee' and stuff." he offered. That was something. He had taken a few of the other questions and answered them to the best of his ability. So there were only three more questions to get. Some of the harder ones.

"Not yet." Ric said to him as he started to read to him what the book said but still telling him in a way that he could understand before he looked at him. "Maybe....we will just have to see and find out....that was only for a night nothing more." he said to him as he watched him write things down to the question that he was suppose to be answering before he moved onto the next one.

Rolling his eyes, he dropped it as they went back to work. If it looked as if he was avoiding the other, Shadow'd never thought of it. It was more like, he just never ran into him very often unless in classes or casual enough encounters. Listening to his next words, he chuckled. "Right." He didn't mention the fact that it had been supposed to be for two weeks. But didn't since it would've probably been used against him. As if he didn't have enough things on him.

"Did you get that or where you day dreaming?" Ric asked him as he raised an eyebrow at him, he had read the passage three times to Shadow and hadn't gotten a reaction out of him, he figured that if he was going to be like this when he helped him with his herbology homework then he would rather get spliced a few more times before he stuck around and talked to a wall.

Shadow glanced at Ric and shook his head. "I got it." he said before writing down exactly what had been explained. He hadn't realized that he stopped writing. Of course he did listen. "Sorry." he muttered with a small sigh and then moved onto the next question.

"Now this is one is the hardest because you have to...." goes through this long explanation about the question and then had to read him the whole chapter to Shadow, having to tell him in words that he could understand all the while he had to show and explain the diagram of the plant.

His eye twitched a little, getting lost a few times during that explanation. He just rolled his eyes. "Why, is this so complicated?" he asked, trying to follow to the best of his abilities. It really sucked. It was a rather good thing Ric was trying to explain things in a way that he could follow. Otherwise, Shadow would have found himself just chucking the book out the window. He'd done it a few times before with some books that he didn't like. The librarian had given him hell for finding out her books were matted and slightly beat up.
