Misaki stood at the top of the stairs for a moment, watching Usagi for a few seconds, guilt growing in his stomach. He drew in a deep breath before heading down the stairs and standing by the couch. ".. I'm sorry Usagi-san.." he said, dropping his gaze to the ground. "I may have overreacted earlier..."

Usagi looked up from his writing as he closed his laptop and turned around to look at the brunette. "It's alright," said Usagi as he looked at the brunette. Glancing down at the couch he motioned for Misaki to come and join him.

Misaki hesitated for a second, frowning lightly before he took a seat on the couch. He really did hope that Usagi forgave him, and wasn't just saying that he did. He kept his gaze on the ground, not sure if he was able to look at the older man right now.

Usagi looked at Misaki who was sitting there looking at the floor to the point that he thought that if he stared any harder at the floor it would burst into flames. "Misaki?" asked Usagi as he looked at the brunette. "What's on your mind?" Usagi slid closer to Misaki as he placed his arm around his shoulder bringing the other male closer to him.

Misaki glanced up at Usagi when the older man said his name and a confused look crossed his face. As well as a faint blush. It disappeared quickly though and he resisted the urge to move away from him. "Nothing's really on my mind. he said. He hadn't been aware that he was giving off those kind of vibes. He put a smile on his face to assure Usagi that nothing was wrong.

Usagi looked down and smiled inwardly as he noticed the slight flush on Misaki's face. "Alright," said Usagi as he looked at the brunette. He took his other hand and placed it under the other male's chin as he locked lips with him in a gentle kiss.

Misaki was about to stand up and head back up to his room when Usagi kissed him. His mind and body froze and he blinked a few times, trying to process what was going on. When his mind started working again, he pushed away from the older man quickly. "W-What are you doing?!" he asked, not liking the stutter that came out.

Usagi frowned when he felt the brunette push him away as he tried to kiss him. Breaking away from Misaki he said,"I am heading to bed. Get some sleep. I will be driving you tomorrow." With that being said Usagi walked up the stairs and slammed the door closed as he went to go and lay on his bed.

Misaki frowned as he watched Usagi walk away, his heart racing. He really wished it would calm down, since he wasn't attracted to men... Right? But he felt bad now that he's upset the older man. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly before he stood up as well. He dropped his gaze to the ground and flinched when he heard the door slam from upstairs. He felt bad as he walked upstairs and into his room. He dropped down on the bed, an uneasy feeling growing in his stomach.

Usagi ended up falling asleep that night after much fitful turning and yelling out. He woke with a start as he threw a glare towards the wall as he kicked off the covers and left his room to go and work more on his story to take his mind off of the fact that he was darn right angry about what had transpired with Misaki.

Misaki had a lot of trouble falling asleep. The sounds coming from Usagi's room was making it harder. But he managed to drift into an uneasy sleep after much tossing and turning. He woke a lot earlier than he normally would have and he sighed. He stood up from his bed and went to take a shower before he got started on breakfast, hoping that Usagi wasn't still mad at him.

Usagi looked at the manuscript that was in front of him as he deleted half of it. It was utter crap. He didn't like it. He took out another cigarette and lit it as he began smoking it. He closed his eyes again as he fell sideways as sleep overcame him. He didn't hear Misaki come down the stairs.

Misaki's gaze drifted across the room as he headed down the stairs. His attention stopped on Usagi and he frowned lightly. He grabbed an extra blanket from the closet and brought it down and covered up the older man, not wanting him to catch a cold. He took the lit cigeratette with a look of disguist on his face as he put it out before heading into the kitchen to get breakfast started quietly, not wanting to wake Usagi up.

Usagi sighed in his sleep when he felt something being placed over him. He smiled in his sleep as well when he began smelling the sweet smells of someone cooking something. Opening his eyes he looked around and managed to get into a sitting position as the blanket was draped around his figure. Turning towards the kitchen he saw Misaki and said,"Good morning."

Misaki glanced over at Usagi when he heard his voice. He wasn't aware that he woke him up, even though he was trying so hard to be quiet. It only took a second before he realized that it must have been the smell. Darn him and his wanting to have a hot breakfast in the morning! The brunette mentally scolded himself as he put a smile on his face as he turned to face Usagi. "Morning." he greeted.

Usagi smiled at the brunette that was making food as he got up from where he was sitting and walked into the kitchen. "What are you making for breakfast?" asked Usagi as he looked at Misaki and smiled again. The food, whatever it was, smelled delicious, and Usagi was completely famished.

Misaki glanced at Usagi's smile, glad that he seemed to be in a better mood today. "Just an omelet and bacon." he said, turning his attention back to the skillet where he was flipping bacon so it didn't burn. "I'll be done in just a minute." he said. The eggs were already done and the bacon just needed just a bit longer. Actually, just as he was saying those words, the food was completely done and he set the food on two separate plates and set them on the table. He took his seat and waited for Usagi to join him before he started eating.

Usagi nodded when he heard the brunette tell him what they were eating for breakfast. He did love bacon and eggs a lot. Usagi couldn't even remember the last time he had eaten it. Sitting down in front of the table he looked at the brunette and said,"Itadakimasu," as he went and placed the first bite of food in his mouth. His eyes widened as he smiled in satisfaction at the brunette in front of him. "This is delicious," he said as he swallowed the bite that he was eating. "By the way what time do you have class today? I can drive you again if you want to."

"Itadakimasu." Misaki repeated as Usagi took his seat. He took a bite of his food and a small smile formed on his face. It had been awhile since the last time he's made eggs or bacon and he did have to admit that it tasted better than he remembered. He was glad that Usagi was enjoying the meal, but when the offer came up for him to get a ride to school, he had to shake his head. "You don't have to do that. I don't want to be a bother to you."

Usagi swallowed the bite of food that was in his mouth as he looked at the brunette with a slight irritated glare. "No," said Usagi. "I am driving you. What would Takahiro say if something happened to you while you were taking the subway or walking? No, I will be taking you." Usagi finished the rest of his food, and then got up from the table as he took his plates to the sink depositing them there. "Tell me when you are ready to go."

Misaki flinched slightly when he seen Usagi's glare. But the words made him feel bad. He hadn't been thinking of that... There was no way he should even risk having something happen to him. Takahiro would be crushed... He sighed as he finished his food and put the dishes in the sink and washed them quickly. "Well... I'm ready now." he said, grabbing his bag and heading to the door.

Usagi waited until the brunette was securely in the car before he started it and began the short drive to Mitsuhashi University for the second day in a row. Usagi didn't mind this, and he knew that if he continued to do this people would stay away from Misaki because of it. He smiled a little at that as they rounded the corner, and then they were soon in front of the university. Parking the car he looked at Misaki and said,"Have a good day, and learn a lot. Call me when you are done."

Misaki was silent during the drive to school and he nodded once they were parked outside the building. "Yeah.. Sure." he said, getting out of the car, hoping that this day wasn't going to be like the last. But so far, as he headed up to the building, people were avoiding him. He sighed and dropped his gaze to the ground. But he ended up tripping in class and was helped up by this kid named Sumi. Misaki smiled brightly when the offer came for him to sit by someone and he eagerly took it. Maybe things would finally turn around for him!

Usagi watched the people around Misaki avoid him at all costs when he went into the school. He drove his red sports car back to the condos where he began working on his manuscript again until Misaki called him over.
Sumi looked out at the expanse of new students as his eyes landed on someone named Misaki. He smiled to himself. "So this is the boy that is staying at Usagi's house." He was about to go and greet his new friend, but then he fell in front of him. "Why don't you come over and sit with me," said Sumi as he looked at the other male. "By the way what is your major?" |
Misaki smiled and took a seat next to Sumi, so happy that someone was actually talking to him. That must mean he didn't have some sort of disease! "I'm majoring in culinary." he said, leaning back against his seat. After all, he has spent countless hours perfecting his cooking skill. So of course that was what he wanted to be. Why else would he waste all that time?
