Misaki's first reaction was to pull back quickly away from Usagi when he was kissed. And he almost did. But he couldn't seem to make his body move. His heart was racing and he didn't understand why. It couldn't be because of Usagi, right? After all, they were both men and Misaki was straight... Wasn't he? He pulled back away from the older man with a lot of effort. "I have homework I need to be doing..." he muttered.

Usami looked at Misaki when he felt the other male disentangle himself from him. He was about to say something to Misaki, but then Misaki said that he needed to leave because he had some homework to do. Usami nodded, he too had some more manuscripts to write. He figured that he did because he knew that he was bound to be getting questions from Aikawa-san. "Very well," said Usami as he got up from the couch and walked back over towards the kitchen. "Since you will be busy with homework, and I have nothing to do I can make dinner."

Misaki was about to head up the stairs when he paused. Was Usagi offering to cook? He thought back to when the older man had tried to make breakfast and he shook his head quickly before turning and heading into the kitchen. "No. It's fine. I can make it." he said. His homework could wait another 30 minutes for him to get it done. He didn't want to risk having Usagi burn the condo down.

Usami looked at the brunette that was in front of him as he looked at him coming down the stairs again. "Very well," said Usami as he resumed his seat at the couch again. He had to do more research for his upcoming novel anyway.

Misaki went into the kitchen and looked through the kitchen, thinking of what he could make for dinner. Sushi and rice balls sounded good, so he got out the things he would need and got to work after washing his hands. He slipped an apron on to avoid making a mess on his clothes. Thankfully this meal wasn't that hard to make and was done in about 10 minutes. "All done." he said, serving the food.

Usami continued to type away at the E-mails that he had as he looked towards the kitchen noticing that the brunette was making sushi and white rice. He smiled as he took in the smell of the cooking white rice. He always did love Misaki's cooking. Usami went back to his E-mail writing, but then his ears perked up when he heard that it was time to eat something. Usami closed his computer and then he went towards the table as he sat down. He loved sharing meals with the brunette.

Misaki smiled lightly when Usagi came to join him at the table. A part of him had been hoping that the older man would have just continued with what he was originally doing. But he realized that was stupid, so he pushed the thought to the side. "Itadakimasu." he said before grabbing his chopsticks and started to eat. He took a couple of bites before he looked over at him. "How's your book coming?" he asked, curious.

"Itadakimasu," said Usami as he began eating as well. Usami always loved the types of food that Misaki cooked for him, he was so glad that the brunette had chosen to live with him while going to school. He took another bite as he chewed at it thoughtfully as he looked at the brunette when he heard him ask him about his book. Usami panicked. Which book did he mean? Did he mean the BL novels. No, he couldn't possibly mean those, he must mean his real novels. He swallowed his bite of food as he looked at Misaki and said,"Everything is going smoothly. I turned in the manuscript early to Aikawa-san so she should be off my case for a little while at least.

Misaki nodded, although he didn't like how Usagi paused before answering. Did the older man really think for one second that the brunette actually meant those perverted, disguisting BL novels? But he put on a smile since he wasn't really sure which type of books Usagi was talking about. "That's great." he said, dropping his gaze to the table for a second so he could take another bite of food.

Usami was very glad that Misaki didn't press the matter and that he dropped it. He looked at the food that was on his plate still as he smiled again. God, he could not get over how well Misaki cooked. He really did have a talent for it. Finishing his food he picked up his plates and put them down as he walked behind Misaki and gave the brunette a large hug as he rested his chin on the others left shoulder and then kissed his cheek softly.

Misaki didn't notice at first when Usagi had stood up. But when he did look up, he was confused. Where did he go? He got his answer when he felt the older man's arms around him. Before he could stop himself, he froze. He unconsciously started leaning away from him. "Usagi-san... What are you doing?" he asked.

Usami could feel the brunette beginning to pull away from him. Usami let go of the boy with a frustrated sigh as he continued passed him and then went back to writing his book. He opened his laptop again and began typing on it furiously trying to take his mind off of the brunette as he angrily thought,"What am I doing wrong? Why is this happening to me?" Usami figured that the brunette would be head over heels over him, like everyone else, but he knew that Misaki wasn't, and it confused him even more. This also made him want Misaki even more though too.

Misaki frowned lightly, absolutely positive that he's upset the older man again. He sat at the table for a moment longer before standing and taking the dirty dishes into the kitchen, where he began washing them silently. It didn't take long, since there wasn't that much dirty and he dried his hands quickly. "... I'm going to get started on my homework now.." he said, not really sure if he should apologize or not. He would though, if he knew what for.

Usami watched as the brunette climbed the stairs to go and do his homework like a good, studious student. He sighed as he looked at his manuscript again. He re-read the E-mail that had been attached to it by his editor as he closed his eyes, massaging the bridge of his nose. Aikawa-san was not pleased with his latest BL manuscript. He told him that it was lacking love, and character. How was he supposed to get that after he learned that the one that he had been in love with was getting married to some brunette bimbo?! He closed his computer as he went upstairs for the night and closed his door, fell to his bed, and was asleep almost instantly.

Misaki got to work on his homework quietly, and seeing as how there wasn't that much, he finished rather quickly. He settled on the bed to start reading one of his manga when he heard Usagi head up the stairs. He was curious as to why he was heading to bed so soon, but shrugged it off. It wasn't really any of his business. The brunette read his manga for maybe an hour before he settled down for the night under the blanket and closed his eyes. It took only a few minutes for him to be able to fall asleep.

Cracking his eyes open Usami looked around in the dimly lit room. He didn't know what time it was, nor did he understand why he had awaken. Getting to his feet he stretched a little, and decided to leave his room to go and walk around a little in the condo. Maybe, that would tire him enough so that he could go to bed. Walking out of his room and down the stairs he came to a stop in front of the balcony window as he looked at all of the twinkling lights that were still on in Tokyo.

While asleep, Misaki could hear the faint noise of someone walking around in the condo. He sat up quickly, his first thought was that they were being robbed. It took a minute or so for him to realize how foolish that was. There wasn't any way for someone to sneak in here in the first place. But did that mean Usagi was awake? The brunette bit his lip, deciding whether or not he should go see. Finally his curiosity got the better of him and he got out of bed quietly. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he made his way down the stairs slowly, being sure not to make any noise. "... Usagi-san? Why are you awake at this time?" he asked, approaching the older man slowly. He hoped that Usagi wasn't sleepwalking.

Usami turned sharply as he saw the brunette standing in front of him. "Misaki," he said and then looked over at the nearby wall clock noticing that it was still rather early in the morning. "Did I wake you up? I am sorry." He paused as the silence of the room began to creep up on him. It was getting awkward very quickly. He cleared his throat as he said,"I couldn't sleep. Nightmares and all. Don't concern yourself with this. Get to bed and get some sleep." He was trying to be brace for the brunette, but he knew that soon that would be utterly impossible for him. The dreams were getting more and more frequent and they were getting more and more violent as well.

Misaki frowned lightly as he shook his head, concern growing on his face. "You didn't wake me up." he said, taking a step towards Usagi. He didn't know how to help when it came to nightmares, but he was going to do everything he could to help the older man feel better. The brunette remembered that whenever he had a bad dream, Takahiro would come and sit with him until he felt better. So he figured that was a start on helping Usagi. He bit his lip lightly for a second, dropping his gaze to the ground. ".. Do you.. want to talk about it? Maybe it will help." he offered.

Usami listened to what the brunette said as he found himself sliding to sit down on the couch that was nearby. "I really don't know where to start," stated Usami flatly. "I guess it's been a rather progressive thing, and it has sort of gotten worse with you coming to live here. I know that you remember that I told you that I liked your brother." He paused before continuing. "Well, I like someone else now, but say, hypothetically, this person doesn't want anything to do with you. How would that make you feel, and how would you resolve it?"

Misaki took a seat on one of the opposite couches, an uncomfortable feeling growing in his stomach. So him coming to live here was part of the problem? He would leave, if it would help. But his brother was still out of town on his honeymoon and the brunette knew he wouldn't approve of him staying alone. "Well... The only thing I can really say is just to keep showing this person that you care about them..." he said, thoughtful. He felt bad that Usagi had found someone else to like that didn't return his feelings. But hopefully this would mean that he wouldn't be sexually harassed all the time. "The only thing you can really hope is that this person will take notice of your feelings and at least give you a chance."

Usami listened to what the brunette was saying as he leaned back in his seat. "So he is telling me to keep being the way that I am, and to keep pursuing him." Usami continued to listen to Misaki as he wrapped an arm around the brunette and hugged the other tightly. "Thanks for telling me that," said Usami.

Misaki wasn't expecting Usagi to hug him so suddenly. But the older man did seem to be somewhat in a better mood. So the brunette was okay with the hug. ".. Just happy to help." he said, a small smile forming on his face and he very hesitantly returned the hug.

Usami smiled when he felt the brunette hug him back. He tightened his hold on the brunette and fell to the side so that Misaki was spooned against him. He leaned in and whispered,"Are you sure you know what you just said? I have a confession to make." he whispered into Misaki's ear, but then paused trying to think of the right words to say. "I love you." He didn't know how the brunette was going to react to this, but he was taking Misaki's advice to heart.

Misaki froze when Usagi moved him. His first instinct was to jump up and leave quickly, but he forced himself to stay still. Usagi was having a rough time right now and the brunette really needed to stay with him for the time being. He was just starting to relax when he heard what the older man said and he froze again. His heart-rate sped up some and a faint trace of a blush spread across his face. "W-What?" he asked, not sure if he understood him correctly. When Usagi said that there was someone that he was interested in, Misaki had been hoping that he had meant someone else. Apparently, he was completely wrong to assume that.
