Elliot jumped to dodge, then came down with another strike, this time with her bowstaff, to his elbow.

"Looks like we need to end this soon, huh?" Elliot asked, getting slightly tired herself.

Shiki laughed a little."yeah looks like it",he said smieling.

Elliot raised her two weapons. "Then, let this be our last strike!" With that, she pumped all her mana into her over-souls.

Shiki watched carefully also pumping all his over soul into his sword and lunged at her.

"RAH!!!" Elliot shouted, counterattacking with her warhammer and her bowstaff.

Elliot did the same, striking at Shiki with both weapons and all her strength. She collided with his sword, and once the smoke was cleared..... "Shiki, you are the victor." The proctor said, as both of Elliot's over-souls had been disengaged with that last failed strike. Elliot was holding one hand over a cut on her upper arm. |

Shiki looked surprised but made a small cheer and went to Elliot,extending his hand to her."congradulations on the fight!",he said proudly."It was an honor fighting you" |
"Same to you," Elliot replied. "I hope we meet up again in the rounds to come."

"As do I",Shki said exsitedly."uh,I have ti go back to the hospital to cheack on my friend,would you like to come?",he asked kindly.

Elliot's eyebrows came together in concern. "Of course," She replied. "What happened to your friend?" Though, she had a sneaking suspicion she already knew.

Shiki sighed."he was in a shamen fight,the guy took it to far ...',he said as they walked.

Elliot clenched her jaw. "I take it he went up against Faust XIX?" She asked tightly.

Shiki nodded."yeah .... my other friend is watchig him now,though she has her match soon so she'll need to go ...."

Elliot didn't divulge that she was watching the match, but she did admit, "I've heard about how Faust fights. He fights dirty; from what I hear, in the qualifiers he killed his proctor, and he collects corpses." She shivered slightly. "The guy's sick."
She looked to Shiki. The guy looks exhausted. She thought. "When was the last time you and your friend slept?" She asked. |
Shiki thought a momnet."some time yesterday ....on the train ride into town .....",he said relizeing how long it had been."wow,when you think about it it was a while ago,mind you my friend may have fallen asleep by now"

"I hope she's rested enough for her fight," Elliot replied. She yawned. Speaking of which, I haven't slept since yesterday afternoon either. She thought.

Shiki nodded."me too",seeing her yawn he smiled."seems like you need rest as well"

Elliot yawned. "I think you're right about that." She replied.

Shiki smiled at her gently then forward agin as they entered the hospital.

"What condition--" Elliot began after a few moments, but she cut herself off when they entered the room. "Oh. Well, that answers that."
