Elliot nodded in return. "Same here. Good luck to you too." She said. Then, the proctor arrived.
"I see that you're both here," The woman said. She was wearing the same cloak all of the Patch wore as proctors. "I trust that you both know the rules of the battle; the first to disengage their over-soul loses." |
Shiki nodded as he came into a fighting posion."right"
Kojio smiled."lets go!" |
"Get ready you two," Elliot said. Both Nala and Spire nodded and positioned themselves on either side of her shoulders.
"Begin!" The proctor announced. "Nala, into the warhammer!" Elliot said. "Spire, into the staff!" |
Kojio quickly became a spirit ball.
Shiki smiled."quick Kojio,into the sword!",he said as Kojio went into the swor,he then charged at Elliot. --- In the mean time, Abby had drifted off to sleep in the chair next to Xings bed. Tears in the cornor of her eyes. |
Elliot blocked with the handle of her warhammer. "You'll have to try better than that." She said. "Spire, fly!" with that order the over-soul of her staff opened up a pair of wings, and rose into the sky with Elliot holding on. She swung herself into a position that looked as if she were riding a skateboard.

Shiki smiled."nice",he sai impressed as he watched. Figureing out what to do next.

"Thanks," Elliot replied. She swooped down on Xing. "Time to pay you back in full!" She swung down on him with the heavy warhammer, intending to disable his ability to use his sword.

Shiki smeirked, right before she reached him he vanished in a flash.

Elliot stopped before she rammed into the ground. "Where'd he go?" She asked softly.

Shiki suddenly was behind her and swung hs sword at her."boo!"

Elliot ducked and grabbed her staff, then proceeded to swing it at Shiki's legs to sweep them out from under him. She grinned in satisfaction as he toppled to the ground. "Hyah!" She struck at him with the staff.

Shiki quickly rolled out of the way dougeing ine staff and doing a black flip he landed up right."heh,your good"
---- Abby groaned in her sleep and with a gahsp she sat up rigght,an?d sighed seeing she was still in Xings hospital room. Kimiko , who had come while Abby was asleep looked to her."Abby,you alright?",she asked worriedly. Abby smiled to her softly."yeah,just a bad dream",she said looking towards Xing and froowned,seeing no change. She stood quitely and looked to Kimiko and Bason."I'll be back,I'm just gonna get a soda from the vending machine",she said quitely leaveing the room and into the hall. Kimiko sighed and looked to Bason."Abbys blameing this on herself isnt she?",she asked with worry an dlooked to Xing just as worried."I do hope you pull through Xing ... if not,I am going to make a trip to the after life and bring you back here myself" --- Abby walked down the long and very deserted hall."hm this is odd",she muttered lowly,as she reached the soda machine and stared at it blankely,lost in her thoughts. "Finding it hard to make a choice Abby?", came a cold,double voice,from behinde her. Abby blinked and worled around to see a man with dark blue eyes,semi-long black hair, wearing a white dress shirt black jeans and a black trench coat,and black combat boots stared at her wickedly. His skin very pale. "Now now Abby,its bed enough you caused your familys death ... but now you put your friend in a hospital,tisk tisk tisk ... shame on you",the man said smirking insanelike. Abby growled at him."what the hell are you doing here?",she asked coldly reaching for her weapon ,but growled when she relized she had left it in Xings room.She looked to him."Xing being here is my fault, but as for my familys death, you caused that , not me" The man smiled."oh, but they dies, because they refused to give you to me, now look, your alone,th last member of the awsakura faily bloodlie ... really now did your ansistors think changeing the last name would through me off? I've been watching your family for years , waiting for you to be born, you have your graet(add lots of greats) grandfathers power,only 100 times more ... when hs twin brother faught him,he failed to ge me that power,but now,its just you .... ",he said and with a smirkish glare,he sent Abby crashing down the hall. He walked up to her ans she stood and looked to the door and smiled."this is where your friend is",he said waveing his hand and the door opened. Abby jumped up and stood infront of him."Leave him alone!",she yelled only to get slamed into the wall by the window,the man gripping her neck,and useing his spirirtual presure to not nly chke her but mke her feel like she was being crushed. Kimiko's eyes widened when Abby was sent flying into the room and ghasped seeing the man holding her,but was powerless to do anything unless Abby orderd her to."Abby!" Abby choked slightly stareing at the man ,things becomeing a bit hazey. The man smiked."Now Abby, I just wanted to see this new friend of yours ,if hes lost his first battle then he must be weak,hes better off in here then out there ,where I can get to him",he said looking to Xing then two the two spirits,"Kimiko ,you've raised Abby well",he then looked to Bason. "Ah ,Bason ... its been a long time",he said softly then looked to Abby."I look forward to our match that is destend to happen near the end of the tornament ...youv'e seen your death in your dreams , helll Iv'e vishoned your death,I look forward to it',he mutterd before slaming Abby into the wall one more time ,this time leaveing a dent in the wall befor e bropping her half unconchous body onto the floor. With a laugh he turned around and vanished into thin air. Kimiko was emidiatly at Abbys side."Abby! ... Abby you okay?",she said worried. Abby took a momnet to come back around but she slowly sat up hodling her sholder."i ...I'm okay",she said softly. |
Bason glared after the man. The then turned to Abby and Kimiko. "Perhaps the doctor should be called, by the look of that shoulder." He said. It was clear that the man's appearance was troubling.
*** "Thanks," Elliot said. "You're not too bad yourself." With that she summoned the wind spirit, and allowed her physical body to become one with the wind. *** Faust was standing outside the back of the hospital when the man appeared beside him. "Now, what, may I ask, were you doing in there?" He asked. "You know that girl's ancestry. Are you really about to risk pissing off Amidamaru?" |
Abby gave Bason a smile."no need Bason,i'm okay",she said standing up."no serious harm done I asure you",she sai calmly and went back to sitting in ther chair siging somewhat fustratedly.
--- The man smiled at Faust."I dout he'd do anything ...things like this happen in a tornament",he stated calmly. --- Shiki blinked."now,that is somthing I havnt seen",he muttered,but stayed calm. |
"Don't count on that assumption." Faust said, then left.
*** Without warning, Elliot solidified her body, and came down on Shiki's shoulder with her warhammer. "That's what happens when you're in tune with the elemetals." She said. |
The man only laughed,looking back to the hospital room before disapearing into the nigh-eh early morning?(lol)
Abby stared at the sealing."he attacked me in a hospital,he has no honor",Abby said closeig her eyes,winceing a little as she shifted to get more confortable. Kimiko frowned."Abby, most dark spirits dont have honor,he possed that man just so he'd have a way of getting into the tornament,just so he can get to you",she said softly. Then seeing her wince she frownedmore."Abby, maybe Basons right....about your sholder" Abby just gave a smiled."You worry to much,its nothing serious ",she sid calmly and relaxed into the chair. --- Shiki let out a small cry of pain and the menovered away from her."heh,I'd nevre though that be possibe".he mutterd holding his sholder. |
"It doesn't look like 'nothing serious'." Bason added.
*** "Well, now ya know." Elliot said, remaining solid this time. What she didn't admit was that changing her body to one of the elements was highly taxing, and took a lot of mana to do. |
Shiki smiled at her.'well yeah ,Yeah do",he said then switching his sword into his good arm he rushed at Elliot and took a slash at her side.
-- Abby looked at the two.'really its ine,I can sleep it off ,besides,I dont want to be stuck in a room ,i said i was gonna watch over Xing and I will, I dont want that guy coming back and trying something",shes said closeing her eyes."I wont lose any friends",she mutterd as she started drifting off to sleep. Kimiko sighed and looked to Bason."she gets that stuborness from her great(once again add lots of greats) grandparents",she muttered but siged looking to her."she needs to start worring about her own life once in a while" |
Elliot dodged...barely. The blade nicked her side, but she struck back with her bowstaff.
*** "That sounds like Xing...." Bason said. "No wonder they get along." |
Shiki quickly doudged and smiled."this is becomeing fun"
--- Kimiko blinked."really?',she said but smiled some looking down at Abby,making sure she was fully asleep."whats Xings story anywase?",she asked softly."I mean with Abby,he intire family was killed by that dark spirit when she was very young,I raised her since then. Shes terrified of loseing hose close to her,shes very protective over her friends,they,and me,are the closest thing she has left thats likea family",she said softly."with whats happened to her in the past,I'm surprised thats shes so happy all the time",she said with a sigh.Then looked to Bason."But why is Xing like that?" |
"Don't tell me that," Elliot said, striking at Shiki again. "You're quite the fighter."
*** "Master Xing often tries too hard to help others. It matters not if he knows them or no." Bason replied. "It seems as it he's trying his hardest to prove that he is not like the rest of his family, the Taos." |
Kimiko slowly nodded."I see",she smiled some."your right,its no wonder they get along"
*** Shiki quickly blaocked and smiled."thank you",he stated calmly. |
"No wonder indeed." Bason murmured.
*** "You're welcome," Elliot replied, feinting with her warhammer. She switched from a strike at his side to a strike at his knee at the last minute. |
