Subtle and quick to anger, Naomi replied, nodding and grinning. She couldn't help it, it was fun to have an entire conversation right under someone's nose. Personally, I like the one about dragons better.

Crispy and tasty with ketchup, Osanna said with a big grin. But we have yet to meet a dragon. And if we do we might be running for the hills.

"Most likely," Naomi said, holding back some giggles. With their luck lately, it was entirely possible.

"Dragons, huh?" Bob interrupted. "Depends on which dragon you meet. Some of them are very fond of humans, although the whole 'young virgin' thing isn't correct. Honestly, you humans come up with the weirdest things sometimes."

Osanna just grinned, very amused.

"Interesting how you jump to the one point about virgins," Naomi teased. "Though I'd always heard that was unicorns, not dragons." Absently, she formed a small marble of clear ice and tossed it around in her hands, just to have something for her hands to do.

Bob watched the ball of ice with fascination. "More human lies," he said, sounding distracted. "Besides, no one's seen a unicorn in a few centuries."

"If we were home and someone said that, then we would just have to talk to someone older than a few centuries," Naomi commented. She knew unicorns didn't exist in their home dimension, but that didn't mean that they didn't exist somewhere else. She rolled the marble between her fingers as she spoke, although it didn't melt at all against her skin.

Bob snickered. "You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who's been around longer than me."

"Around here, maybe," Naomi conceded. Hell, she had no idea how old anyone got in this world. "Back home, maybe not."

"Bob lost track of how old he is," Harry provided helpfully.

"Last I checked it's been at least two millenia."

Osanna's eyes widened. Even her grandfather was just over a thousand years old. And he was considered rather old.

"I'm impressed," Naomi said after a second or two. Her own father was only just over five hundred or so, not very old at all by demon standards.

Bob would have been grinning if he had his own body.

"Stop showing off," Harry muttered, rolling his eyes. Bob grumbled something but looked back at the girls.

Naomi snickered a bit. It was really kind of amusing to watch the two of them arguing over literally nothing. Absently, she made another little marble, this one opaque rather than clear, and rolled the two marbles around in her hands a bit. It gave her hands something to do that wouldn't be considered fidgeting.

Bob looked at the ice marbles again. "How hard is it to do that? Can you make them colored?" He'd noticed that one of them was opaque.

Naomi blinked and glanced at the marbles.

"Things this little are easy," she said. She formed another marble to demonstrate. This one was a bit more complex, being clear with an opaque swirl. "I can't make them colored unless the pigment is already there, though. I would need something to color them with." She grinned. "I practiced on bottles of food coloring when I was a kid. My mother didn't appreciate it."

Bob looked at them curiously. "Hmm. Interesting. How many could you make before you wear yourself out?" He was curious. Gathering information, after all.

"What, marbles?" Naomi looked at them and thought for a moment before giving up on the mental calculations. "I have no idea. Hundreds? Thousands? Marbles don't take any effort at all." She thought back to the block of ice she'd made not too long ago, back in Amestris, and tried to figure out how many marbles it would make, taking into account the material she had to work with. "If there was water already on hand, I could probably make tons of them. It's a whole lot easier to freeze existing water than it is to create ice out of straight up energy, which is what I did with these. They'll evaporate again pretty soon."

Bob managed to grin somehow. "That makes sense. Do you have to concentrate on those to keep them solid, or is simply holding them enough for the time being?"

"Things this small, I can just hold them and they'll be alright. Maybe reinforce them every so often," Naomi replied. She had a kind of strange expression, not entirely sure how a skull managed to grin. She'd seen it, anyways. "Really, this is just to keep my hands busy."

"So if you're working with water you can make more of those, or something bigger," Bob summarized. "We've already seen what your friend can do."

"Right," Naomi said. After a moment's pause, she added, "and no, you haven't." She knew that manipulating leaves wasn't the extent of Osanna's power, it was just want she felt capable of doing so far from home. She didn't have her own 'trained' plants here, after all.

Bob brightened. "There's more?"

Lots, Osanna agreed after a moment. It helps if I have a live plant to work with, though.

"Harry, go buy a fern or something."

Naomi smothered a snort.

"Be glad her more carnivorous plants all got left at home," she commented. "Stupid little finger-biters..."

"Carnivorous plants? There are several kinds in Faerie," Bob said after a moment.

Osanna shivered. I'm good without, thanks. Those plants were freaking weird.

Honestly, Naomi got the feeling that they'd gotten off lucky nearly being turned into popcicles. She didn't want to think about what would have happened if they'd run into man-eating plants.

"Yeah, no," she said. "Turning blue is enough for one day, no need to be eaten alive too."
