"That's probably a good idea. I'm sure that if she does wake up before we return she'd want to do something, even if I doubt school work would be the first thing on her mind," Ichigo replied.

Hoshi nodded and got the folder with the notes out and put it on the counter. " I hope we can help Ryu-chan. " Hoshi said sadly in a low voice.

"I do too," Ichigo said.

" Ready to head to my house? " Hoshi asked.

Ichigo nodded lightly as he got ready.

Hoshi finished putting her shoes on and grabbed her school bag and umbrella, seeing it was still raining outside. She hoped the walk would be uneventful, getting a feeling they might meet someone on the way .

Ichigo grabbed his own umbrella and followed Hoshi out into the rain.

Hoshi had her guard up, having the feeling they were being followed. She didn't think the person had I'll intent, but wanted to be cautious just in case.

Ichigo also had his guard up as he walked with Hoshi, having a feeling that they were being followed by someone. "You know...maybe you should start a service or something, since you're always finding lost souls," Ichigo said tesasingly.

" Maybe I should. " Hoshi said with a giggle and looked behind her seeing a young spirit of a girl. She waved and wondered if she needed her help like Elva did.

Ichigo sensed the young girl as well, but didn't say anything about her. He had a fairly good reason that she was keeping her distance because of his aura having a small taint of Hollow to it.

" It's alright . You can come closer. What is your name? " Hoshi asked the girl and glad the there was no one else on the street.

"He's not going to hurt me?" the girls asked, motioning towards Ichigo as she asked that.

" He won't. I promise. " Hoshi said slowly walking closer to her.
|
Ichigo stayed back as Hoshi went closer to the girl, knowing that anything he would do would seem more like a threat to the Plus spirit rather than helping.

" My name is Hoshi. What might your name be?" Hoshi said in a kind voice, not wanting to scare the girl. |
"Rue," the girl responded softly.

" It's nice to meet you Rue." Hoshi said with a smile. She hoped she would be able to help Rue .

(*chuckles* Just read an article on Yahoo as to how some people were being racist because of Rue and Thresh being black)
"It's nice to meet you Hoshi," Rue replied with a small shy smile of her own. |
( They must not have read the book. I always imagined Rue and Thresh to be Black from what their descriptions were.)
" Is there something you need help with?" Hoshi asked, having the feeling her young friend did. |
(I agree with you 100%. I always thought of District 11 as Black as well.)
"Elva-chan was saying good things about you and I wanted to see for myself," Rue said. |
" You knew Elva-chan? " Hoshi said with a smile , knowing Elva did go off a few times while Hoshi was in school. She didn't know if Rue knew Elva had passed on a few weeks ago, but would say so if Rue asked her where Elva was.

Rue nodded. "If it wasn't for her, Hollows would have gotten me when I first died."

" Those hollows can be terrible sometimes. I should know. That's how I met Elva-chan. There was a hollow after her when she went looking for my help. But I took care of it and Elva is safe now. " Hoshi said seeing the worried look in Rue's eyes.

"She is?" Rue asked hopefully.
